people, instead of writing a lot to say nothing,
instead of saying we should do that or that,
instead of saying that the dev mustn't take decision alone,
instead of saying that's the coin of a community and that the community has to be unified,
let's vote and see what's THE REAL CAT COMMUNITY WANTS.

http://www.catcoinforum.com/showthread.php?tid=249
Vote now for Yes or No.

(then we'll fork).

How voting on the forums of a person that isn't neutral about forking makes sense? he's been promoting forking for 2 days now it doesn't make sense at all, you want to make a pool make it here so we people that aren't as influenced can vote.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 03, 2014, 04:52:21 PM
The majority wants best for this coin and that option is to fork it... we cant keep going on like this, its awful and bad for the coin. Accept it and accept the community's decision and lets move on and forget about this hiccup..
You can't speak for the majority, there is at least 400+ catcoin supporters, only 4 people expressed their opinion on a fork

I'm not against forking, what I'm against is unilateral rushed decisions
Forking is one way of doing thing, now the first step is to get other people opinion with a vote or something similars so it's more democratic and other people that are against will have no choice but to accept the results as it is a majority choice

Secondly and like I explaned in my previous poste, we should it things slowly, we have one chance, if we screwed we are done for, discuss the advantages and drawbacks for every single change and come up with a solid plan to present to exchanges (so the coin DOES NOT lose credibility) people who invested don't lose their investiment and the miners can mine with a good profitabilty

things should be done step by step and after a reflexion times, do you see forks of coins right and left in the altcoin forums? the simple answer is no and there is a reason for that.

If you want a community vote, then that's fine.. im fed up with your bickering and sarky comments at most of the members in this thread. So stop your bitch ass winging and let the vote take place and we will see what the community wants.

Vote now for Yes or No.

I'm sorry to say this but the vote should be here not in your forums
The vote should be set up after an annoucement.
You want the bitch ass to stop then DONT FUCKING DO WHAT YOU WANT, THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT INVESTED REAL DOLLARS IN THIS MORE THAN YOU EVER DID OR WILL EVER DO AND ARE LESS VOCAL ABOUT IT.

STOP TAKING DECISIONS FOR OTHERS

I saw someone trying to take a onesided decision and fork this coin and he even made a countdown.

Things doesn't work that way, if you want people support you need to ask for their opinion and not make one sided decision, WHO THE HELL ENTITLED YOU TO SPEAK FOR OTHERS

A hostile and rushed take over will just kill the coin (maybe this is the real goal of the person who wants to fork this coin ? )

Hardforking might be a solution, but it need to be discussed, and voted, once the decision, there must be a strategy built around that, objectives, time table, milestones, ect, because alot of people are involved in this coin, and 3 exchanges, we need to get their take on the matter if it possible for them to update their wallets and how much they might need, (it might take a week or two just for this) and give people time to update their wallets, but before testing if the software does not break anything.........

Again THINK BEFORE RUSHING THINGS  OR YOU ARE HEADED STRAIGHT TO THE WALL

CALM DOWN PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

You guys are just rushing a decision, lets discuss this some more, forking can be a solution but rushing without thinking is more risky than leaving things as they are, ALSO some wants to fork but what gives you the right to take such a decision for the whole catcoin community did you make a vote? they you ask people for their opinion? this kind of unilateral decision is what will kill the coin

NOW CALM THE FUCK DOWN WOULD YOU AND THINK SLOWLY AND RATIONNALY

Chainpost please Cry

Come on mine catcoins, invest in doges and vice-versa I think we should have websites that accept both coins that actually sell stuff, we need to join forces to get rid of multipool dumping and btc dependency, doge/cat should have their market and their own value!

1cat= 1500doges right now

1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! WE HAVE LIFTOFF! on: January 01, 2014, 11:26:59 PM
Pre-mine or not, there's simply too much controversy and negativity surrounding this coin. I am selling off what I was able to (and luckily, from what I gather) mine during launch.

There was tremendous negativity surrounding Catcoin at launch as well, and look where that one went...

... just saying. This coin has life in it yet. I wouldn't lose hope

The problem related to catcoin are different, such as a forked chainblock by a pool (who tried to have a leg step before other pools) and a wallet that wasn't fully designed with catlogo and stuff and of course slow replies from dev, but a part from that the launch was fair, prelaunch and launch, no premine no instamine, there are nice supporter there, Catcoin is a solide value despite the current high diff (the coin fall victime to his succes I guess), but the price will adapt to that and next diff will be much lower. and now ever day there are 4-5 coins anoucement or preannoucement don't what happened in the last 2 or 3 days that triggered this
1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CAGE] CageCoin - Powered by (Hippolas) Nicolas Cage - You don't say?! on: January 01, 2014, 10:53:02 PM
Not a single difference from Dogecoin. How fucking amazing.
the difference is it is instamined and most likely premined (althought not sure)

Anyway back to the non premined non instamined catcoin (cat/doge) exchange ftw
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 08:26:14 PM
Sorry but WTF ? And Im wondering what we did wrong why we lost so many miners.......

Good and stable pool punched by coin dev... well nice. And to be sure, we always close our pools as soon we hit the 50%. Otherwise why should we harm the coin in any way....

If I remember correctly the OP has you listed as the top pool in the begining and it was one of the reason why you had the highest hashrate, in fact it was over 60% of net hashrate, just to avoid 51% atk he removed temporarly and I think he forgot to add you back (he had some issues apparently ) but for this I believe you deserve to be on top of the list, and everyone who does, should be added again to top Smiley and those who does want to help hmm temporarly removed :p? I'll leave that to op and community

Like I said I'm not sure, dev himself didn't say a thing, all I remember is that at the begining there was a little outcry about the hashrate distribution, (btw I've been mining in your pool since day one.)
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 08:17:58 PM
And on another news, another big exchange is picking up catcoin pretty soon, stay tuned till their official annoucement Cheesy

Hey, give us a small idea. You are not resposible if it won´t happen  Wink

It's just a small reply a member of their team, so nothing official, and they might back out, but they said if everything goes as planned they'll add the coin in the following days and as soon as possible Smiley
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 01, 2014, 08:13:01 PM
Thank you.... I can also update this voting then.  Why did the op not list us ...strange.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=384772

And it would be VERY NICE if the OP could list us, 0% fee, PROP - 60 confirmations   thank you

http://cat.poolerino.com will lower the confirmations to 60 tonight.

Also if pools begin to adopt this lower confirmation rate, then it can only be good for the coin.

I am sending the dev a TG about every pool that adopts the lower confirm rate and asking they get more space in the first post.
