1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - MANDATORY UPDATE COMING AT BLOCK 27260 - NEW THREAD on: March 20, 2014, 06:46:05 PM
Hmmm, Looking at this right now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=504103.0;all, well BitcoinExpress is a well known troll, and he claimes alot of stuff but fails to deliver most of the time but it's still something to take into consideration and to watch out for, I'm trying to find technical details on the matter.

As to how to make Catcoin rock again, I believe the first thing to do is to solve all the technical issues, once that done, I believe marketing and advertising on several front is necessary, some good stuff are being done right now, but more needs to be done to have a larger reach, more people should be involved, once all these are done, I believe the coin will be back to the top, as it has a strong brand/brand name and especially it has strong support from faithfull supporters

Thanks Stunna for the awesome service, I confirm I received my payment, and of course you deserve a positive trust feedback, sadly I'll not be rejoining straight away, I will wait till there are more stable rates, And hopefully it will happen by the beginning of next month and you can count on my support by then, again thank you Smiley

PS: Also for the rates fluctuation is pretty understandable, due to the competition and the fact that the legitimity of the competitors is yet to be proven.

Suicide is possible, but the things there is not a single floating debris to be found and it's been more than a week that they've been looking
1625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Brand New Bitcoin Faucet (uses Dark Matter Energy)!! on: March 15, 2014, 09:28:24 PM
I literally took me a while to understand that you don't even have a real faucet to advertise right Huh

You are just saying that you in order to use this faucet we need to download a txt file and then run it in our cmd prompt lol you better be kidding us !!!

So i have to execute an unknown file in my cmd prompt a file named pi-billion.txt in order to be a billionaire  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

lol well, I think the fact that he is posting in off-topic section should have hinted you to do that, also that cmd is op! also dark matter energy wtf is that, it's either dark matter, or dark energy xD
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal Satoshi's stash? on: March 14, 2014, 09:03:14 PM

considering that according to theoretical physics, bit of information can be stored and produced at the plank lenght!,

Reference?
for example : http://arxiv.org/ftp/gr-qc/papers/0304/0304032.pdf One of many of course
and http://arxiv.org/abs/arXiv:gr-qc/9403008v2

Also the whole principal of theories such as String, Super String, M-Theory is that matter is composed by strings that are on the plank size that are on 10-11 dimensions and this strings can represent a bit if not bits! of information (since these strings, like in the partical scale, they have different states that can be simulated by quantum mechanics principles.

In similar way Quantum gravity theory can give an identical result

Good point, and we can go even beyond that, considering that according to theoretical physics, bit of information can be stored and produced at the plank lenght!, and this according to many theories such String, or Quantum Gravity......

Seriously? Next you're going to posit that Satoshi used a private key based on the serial number of a $1 in his pocket. Hey, it's possible! Quick, everyone, check your $1 bills! You might have the key to Satoshis Stash!

It is pretty understandable that these theories are out of the reach of many, I myself don't understand a lot of the maths behind them when I try to go deap, but if you don't understand what I'm talking about it is better to remain silent or even better ask questions but from there to try to discredit people just because of your own ignorance, and because you disagree with them is counterproductive to say the least.
"'Tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

Sorry, but you are thinking inside the box of todays technology.
Come back after you study fractal computing (using light waves instead of those atoms).
Electromagnetic waves are the answer.

Good point, and we can go even beyond that, considering that according to theoretical physics, bit of information can be stored and produced at the plank lenght!, and this according to many theories such String, or Quantum Gravity......theories, these are indeed still far from our grasp (the math is there but we are still far far away from proving things trough experimentation and observations in these fields, but it was the same thing happened with General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics in the past century, we've moved from theories on paper, to stuff we can use and we use in our every day life.
1628  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Lawyer/Solicitor (European law) on: March 14, 2014, 08:11:09 PM
Ah Sad I can't help with that, I have some knowledge when it comes to EU and CE, about legal procedure when it comes to company registration and anticompetitive regulations and what's not (thing you usually see in an MBA or equivalent, but for such procedure I can't help sorry.

On the other hand I can suggest you to try other media such Reddit, either posting on the law section there or try jobs4bitcoin section Smiley Goodluck

NB: Good it's in the UE because the period on which if you are not delivered the promissed goods is small and regulated compared to other areas such as the NA, and the company should either deliver the goods once it gets an official notification, or reimburse everything it owns you + damage unless they fill for bankrupty or restructering plan.

Thank you Kuroman, the information was really useful. Do you have a tipping address? I don't have anything right now, but I'd like to be able to thank you in the future Smiley

I've sent you more informations trough pm and hopefully it will help you Smiley, best of luck Smiley
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal Satoshi's stash? on: March 14, 2014, 07:38:41 PM
The example provided was as extreme as I could get
1) assumes 1 key per FLOP (more like 1 key per 80,000 integer ops)
2) assumes moore's law will continue for 40 years (20 if we are lucky)
3) assumes 1 super computer per human on the planet (really)

Even that would be insufficient.  Yet you still stick with a belief that 10^70 is realistic.   There are only 10^50 atoms on the planet.   Even assuming terrahertz scale processor you would need to convert the entire planet into chips and then magically process billions of operations per atom.    What is going to power this?  Where are all the organic life going to go?

Feel free to have the last (delusional) word.  I won't see it because it isn't worth my time anymore.   You can have your own opinions but you can't have your own facts.  128 bit keys are beyond brute force with classical computing.  It doesn't matter if it is today, next decade, next millennium, or using a perfect computer and all the matter and energy in our solar system.

He seems to have f*cked off now; strange!

I know this is not thread-related but D&T I fucking love you man. I have no idea how you manage to respond to people like this without losing it and each response seems to contain more damning evidence than the last... Unbelievable.

Anyway thanks, and kuroman no offense but you are the most stupid "educated person" I have encountered for a while on these forums. And welcome to ignore Wink

Fucked off? I took his own assumption, proved him wrong as you can check for your self (in the post above the one you quoted and HE doesn't disagree with anything I said but of course it seems that you've missed that), and then he posted the above saying that the numbers HE took are optimistic, so he backed of, please explain to me how can you argue with someone, that tells you lets assume this and that, and when you prove  with his own calculus, assumptions and numbers that he is wrong and that his argument works in my favors and goes with everything I said before, then he just backs off!, saying "oh noes, but things don't go the way I presented before" . No offense to you but the stupid person here is the one not able to gasp this fact, if I go trough the trouble to prove him (and you by the same occasion) wrong again he'll just again back off and say " but what I said is not really accurate, we have to take this and that into consideration aswell.

And as they say in Africa : "Only a fool tests the water with both feet."
1630  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best games you ever played! on: March 14, 2014, 07:29:06 PM
alot of games comes to mind, some of the first video games I've played in the beginning of 90s are memorable, but the best video games are from the end of 90s whole genra were created and whole themes aswell, FF VII FFVIII when it comes to JRPG for example, Gran Turismo, NFS4 when it comes to cars, Syphon filter, Metal gear solid when it comes to action, Resident Evil and Silent hill when it comes to Horror games, PES and FIFA for football, King Of fighters, Tekken, Fatal Fury.....ect ect, nowadays the games are good but it's not the same experience at all, they repeat the same thing, with fancy graphics and map size, but they don't bring anything new to the table in comparaison to the game I've mentioned.

As a side note : I know that sometimes you have some restrains and you want to have a good mark on some subjects for a reason or another, but this should be exceptional
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ¤╠╣¤ [HVC] Heavycoin Community Hub & Workthread on: March 14, 2014, 06:43:56 PM
I think we need to set in place a collaborative platform and a ticket system for issues.

The Collaborative platform is of most important, for efficiency in terms of works, I don't see how marketing dpt can succeed without working with in close collaboration with branding and commercial art, and with the community hub and the translation and language section ...ect

Example, lets say the Marketing dept wants to put in place a campaign that rise awareness of the innovative feature of HVC, one way to do so is by making graphical flayers with easy to understand illustrations (here where branding and commercial art entity comes into play) this should be translated to maximum of languages and spread thanks to community and social medias hubs to reach the maximum ect, a collaborative platform, with allow everyone to work in a professional and efficient way.
1636  Other / Off-topic / Re: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. WTF? on: March 14, 2014, 06:30:18 PM
How many theory crafting around this Sad is the 777 a fly by wire plane, or still have hydraulic commands? The only logical theory that comes to my mind, is that the plane had a total electrical failure, the pilote managed to land the plane on the surface of the ocean (hence no debris) and the plan drow after an hour or two (planes are built to float for a while before drowning to the bottom of the sea) hence no debris. Phones ringing might be related to that periode of time and the people who've managed to get out of the plane.

The other theory would be the plane was shot down by accident, as there are many armies training in that area, and it's a geopolitical tense area, but then again it is surprising no one found anything and this less likely. Anyway I'm pretty confidant, that Armies of at least a few countries knows what happened and just want and don't want to show their capabilities and material in the area

1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good thing for two-factor authentication. Coinbase account definitely hacked. on: March 14, 2014, 05:58:50 PM
Your email security should be the most important! you should have two-factor authentification on you email before anything else (of course I'm talking about your main email adress) gmail offers that and I'm sure other mail services do aswell
1639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought a Nexus 5 to replace my iPhone 4S on: March 14, 2014, 05:56:19 PM
The Nexus 5 is the best value for money you have there good choice, but if you want something special later on, try the HTC One (or the all new One which is coming out the 25/03) you'll be blown by how the device feels and how it delivers in terms of multimedia (screen/sound/cameras ect ect)
