1901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: July 03, 2023, 02:29:37 AM
Yes, they do expire. Depending on the lottery that you are playing and law of the land it is generally between 90 to 180 days. The same goes for online lottery too and it is recommended to always keep a track of the expiry date before and after the purchase of tickets. There are a few apps to help you with this issue. If do a Google search using the keyboard lottery ticket tracking apps. Some of them are from lottery organizers and some are paid apps. If you do want to use it then maintain a ledger with all the details of your lottery tickets.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ATM firm 'Bitcoin Depot' will go public on Nasdaq starting July 3 on: July 01, 2023, 05:34:26 AM
This is great news, I have seen many great news related to Crypto and Bitcoin in general that I am sure Bitcoin is about to hit $40k ranges very soon unless someone does something wrong. **rolling eyes on Binance/CZ**

Also, these ATMs will give more power to the decentralized users and will provide an instant conversion to real world money. This is great.
Let's see how their stock does in the upcoming weeks.

I don't think getting listed on Nasdaq will drive the Bull market. What we are seeing is just the effects of ETF and if one of them gets approved you can expect Bitcoin to hit 40k.

Crypto/Bitcoin ATM does help in Bitcoin adoption but they are not the best place to buy or sell Bitcoin. The reason being high transaction fees, less to nil security and you might also face technical issues. It is better to use exchanges rather than ATM.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's find out which gambling game is the most played among our community... on: July 01, 2023, 04:15:55 AM
I voted for sports betting and dice because the former is skill-based gambling, while the latter is luck-based. Although there are other luck-based games, dice provides me with more excitement and an adrenaline rush than any other game. As for sports betting, I particularly enjoy betting on cricket, especially the IPL and major ICC events. Analyzing cricket comes easily to me as I have grown up playing and following this sport. While I do follow other sports like tennis and soccer, the majority of my bets are on cricket.
1904  Local / India / Re: CBDC/eRuppe wallet is currently being tested! on: July 01, 2023, 02:02:13 AM

UPI had solved a big problem for us and has helped us with our day to day transactions.
What difference will digital rupee bring to the table will directly tell us if it would make a positive impact in India or not.
If digital rupee doesn't have anything different to offer then I don't think people will be interested in using it.

Personally, I believe there are some positive usecases for digital rupee but I wonder if the government has those plans with it or not.

The biggest difference between UPI & Digital Rupee is that one needs a bank account and the other doesn't need a bank account. At the moment it is not clear how to load the wallet without a bank account. It is still in testing phase and after the wallet testing is completed we would know how it will be done.

1906  Local / India / Re: What do you think about Cardano? on: June 30, 2023, 01:16:23 PM
As per my understanding Cardano got an opportunity and they lost it. Staking started recently, but you cannot expect it to perform similar to Ethereum staking. Although the results are better than Ethereum and when compared to the price it is more comfortable for anyone to purchase & stake it.

My opinion is that except Bitcoin (if you bought before 2011) you wouldn't be able to create financial freedom. That being said, the price point of Bitcoin at the moment is encouraging. I know that Bitcoin is too costly, investing in small amount can lead you to financial freedom. Whereas investing in altcoin is beneficial if you know what to do!

If you can DYOR on that project before investing.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 30, 2023, 12:38:31 PM
Smoking and drinking are bad habits too (for your health) and people still do them… the main idea is the same. Some people just don’t give a damn. Some people gamble just because they like it, they don’t care if they get rich or not from gambling at all. Some other people are greedy and they want to turn their 1 coin into 10 coins… some people play just to pass the time while they are waiting for someone. There are many other reasons too.

Long story short; Gambling fills a need in life and as long as that need exists, the gambling industry will not disappear from this world.
Yes, smoking and drinking alcohol is a very bad habit for our body,  yes we are all known that our body needs some alcohol but not too much because it will lead us to addiction and once we are in addict to that thing our self-control will be lost and every day We involve in it. Just like in gambling if we are too much greedy and we don't have self-control then we can say that most of a time we will want to gamble.
Smoking kills but I have not heard anyone die due to alcohol consumption. I might not be right as in I have seen daily drunkards and I have also seen addicts. I haven't seen anyone dying only because they are addicted to alcohol. I have read, seen and observed drunks getting hurt because of fights.

Comparing a gambler with an a substance addict like alcohol and smoking is a waste. My reasoning a gambler destroys the surrounding, by surrounding I meant family & friends. While a gambler destroys everything surrounding him/her.
1908  Other / Meta / Re: Cloudflare - Not a robot (maybe...) on Show All on: June 30, 2023, 11:20:10 AM
TOR browsers task is to stop anyone from invading your privacy. Cloudflare verification robot is designed to invade your privacy in order to determine that you are a human. It will never work when you are using TOR. I would always recommended no one to click on show all if your are using the TOR browser. It is better go page by page that may be frustrating for some but is comfortable if you are a privacy focused individual.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: June 30, 2023, 11:12:25 AM

I think everyone knows that there are high wagering requirements for bonuses that you claim with a deposit, but are there also wagering requirements for the bonuses that you get as a weekly or monthly reward for what you've wagered so far? I mean if you are a VIP member and you are given a certain amount of free spins or some money based on your wagers of the month or week, are those bonuses also subject to some requirements?

VIP or Loyalty program are good and they help you to maximize your profits. Still, they don't guarantee your winning, they are just like free multiplier which supports immensely to your win. Although it is not that easy to become a VIP member or be part of a loyalty program as you need to first fulfill certain t&c. One of those terms in general is to be a high wager client. There is nothing wrong with it as they are meant to attract gamblers to wager more and earn incentives.
1910  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for Website Recommendations on: June 30, 2023, 11:06:31 AM

The link scares me a bit and I had to check it with Fortunejack.com

Fortunejack.com FAQs confirms that your given link is official. FortuneJack Affiliate Platform at the bottom of their Affiliates in FAQ.

I see it as a phishing link if I don't check it and find it at Fortunejack.com

I do have an affiliate account with them that is why I was able to post the link in my reply. I am aware how some links can look doggy and therefore you did the right job in reverifying the link. Their affiliate program as per my knowledge at the moment is giving highest referral percentage. The others are also good but you need to be in their tier level.
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: June 29, 2023, 09:39:47 AM
The loss of money, is perceived very emotionally, even if you play only in order to get adrenaline, a loss can be upsetting. But in the case of gambling, the rule applies when we play only with the money that we don’t mind losing, then in this case there will be no problems, and even in case of a loss, disappointment will quickly pass. But if the player set himself the goal of making money from gambling, and played for big money, then losing can have a very bad effect. In this state, you can not continue to play, the only thing worth doing is to calm down and take some kind of break if this is not done, then you can lose even more, and allow a situation in which the damage becomes too tangible.

How can you play with the mindset of losing. What I meant was that if you gamble with the not minding the money that you lost then I am not sure why are you gambling. You should be positive with your attitude that will help you in taking correct decision. Winning and losing are part of gambling that should be the mindset and not what you are saying. If you lose today it doesn't mean you will lose next day too.
1912  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for Website Recommendations on: June 29, 2023, 07:19:33 AM
Looking for websites to move my referral program to, from bcgame. I have a very successful campaign on stake and bcgame with 6 figure earnings, but bcgame has nerfed my affiliate % from 35 to 9.8. If any website has a better affiliate program and can offer some sort of welcome bonus for my high roller referrals on sign up, please let me know. Would be highly appreciated.

If my understanding is correct FortuneJack has the highest referral commission which is 60% Then it is Stake that offers the second highest commission which is around 50%. Bitcasino is offering up to 45% as written on their affiliate page and the same is being offered by winz.io.

For Fortune Jack, you can visit this page for more details: https://fortunejackpartners.com/
For Bitcasino you can visit this link for more details: https://bitcasino.io/affiliate-program
For winz.io you can visit this link for more details: https://winz.team/
1913  Local / India / Re: How many have Ethereum on their prorfolio? on: June 29, 2023, 06:56:14 AM
I really liked Solana technology and the ecosystem and had invested heavily into it but the frequent outages made me quit.
A blockchain shouldn't be halted and restarted just like that and Solana did it quite a few times already.
Although the technology is great but the way they are handling it is really bad and this made me quite Solana.
I don't plan on to invest heavily in it again.

In a lot of ways, Solana is better than Ethereum and that was the reason it got good support initially. They were going well earlier but the way the team is handling the project now does not make any sense in investing in that project. There was a time when it was trading at a price of $260 at the moment it is down by 93% and I do not think it will go up anytime soon. It is a possibility that the next Bitcoin bull market might recover the price.
1914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need a book recommendation on: June 29, 2023, 06:30:17 AM
Hello everyone , I'am a beginner on crypto trading and i'am
looking for your recommendation on some essential books on how to trade/trading strategies (preferably on day trading), any of your recommendations would help, thank you.

There are two books that I have seen highly recommended for beginners Day Trading and Swing Trading the Currency Market by Kathy Lien and Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John J. Murphy. These two books can provide useful information in your trading journey. You can also refer to this thread - Big Library of Bitcoin & Blockchain Books for books related to trading.
1915  Local / India / Re: CBDC/eRuppe wallet is currently being tested! on: June 28, 2023, 09:55:24 AM

I don't think most would care in first place, if it's from government it must be safe.

It'll be interesting to see how this is gonna be adopted in India. I'm quite proud of upi system, let's see how this gonna turn out.

As a third-world country, every Indian is proud of the UPI, and why not we have built our own payment system which is far superior to any other payment system used by other Governments worldwide. It would be really interesting to watch whether CBDC can bring that same trust and confidence as UPI has been able to do till now. As for adoption, there is nothing an Indian can do but adopt it, we do not have any other option.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 28, 2023, 09:50:07 AM
If you have experience playing gambling and have good self-control, it may be easy for you to stop. But not for those who can't stop because they will definitely keep playing and maybe until the money runs out. Almost all of us have experienced this where we must stop because we have no more money to keep gambling. We should understand when to stop before the money runs out so we don't get into trouble later. We can deposit some more money because we have run out of money to play gambling, which can cause financial problems.

Greed, overconfidence, and trying to recover from loss will always take over self-control in gambling. When you are gambling you get a false hope of control that brings excitement which forbids most of us to stop unless we end up with the money. I haven't found anyone able to stop before the money ends till now. The problem arises when we go ahead and start depositing more to recover our loss. This where the point of casual gambling ends and problem gambling starts.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 28, 2023, 09:44:56 AM
Unless and until they are fixing the games or they have an insider who can give the information there is nil guarantee that the signal group would generate profit. It is better to use your own research and data to make money from betting. What you are questioning is correct, if the group has the information why would they share it with everyone? They would use those signals for their profit and not for anyone.
1918  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 28, 2023, 09:36:28 AM
Because this is risky. Because I think why I should give personal data to anyone KYC documents are highly confidential documents so we should avoid.

If you find KYC on a gambling platform risky then why gamble? The biggest risk is gambling and it is not fair to compare it with KYC risk. At the moment most of these platforms are obliged to follow the rule and regulations otherwise their license can get canceled. There are online casinos that might not ask for KYC, they are more risky to gamble as they might not be probably fair.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top Five Reasons Sports Bettors Are Attracted to eSports on: June 27, 2023, 07:31:03 AM
eSports is quite common among college or university goers. This generation has grown playing those games than traditional games. They are completely aware of the pros and cons of these games. They are the one who are both fans and are betting in eSports. That is why you see a good amount of betting happening in this industry, then the pace of eSports is faster than traditional sports, that makes it more exciting. I would say still it is far away from traditional sports betting and in some years now it might overtake traditional sports betting.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 27, 2023, 07:12:15 AM
And when a player wins a big amount they can delay payment with the excuse of investigating the win while at the same time waiting for other players to lose to accumulate money to pay their winner, the casino always has an edge if they have big users and VIPs they are not just going to go down because of player wins, it seldom that casinos have 2 or 3 winners of 5 or 6 digits and if they cannot keep up anymore they will just scam their winners

This does not happen with trusted casinos that manage their bankroll well and limit maximum bets, as has been pointed out throughout the thread. I used to invest in casino bankrolls and by tracking them you could see from time to time a big drop in bankrolls due to a big whale getting lucky, but never going bust. Although the bankroll always recovered over time and kept going up.

Any organization can go bankrupt if they are not managed properly. The same case can be applied for both new and trusted casinos. First of all they have algorithm to safe guard their liquidity, they won't allow you towin big in any circumstances. If they do allow they would then the gambler might have been depositing big deposit to gamble. One of the reson why it is always a lucrative business, if you know how to manage it.
