If you haven't noticed almost everyone around here has sold everything but the bare minimum for staying alive to get more BTC.

I haven't  Smiley, shoot me.
1902  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: March 27, 2013, 06:16:30 AM
Huh That one auto-renewed but the other ones just went to my lendable balance.
cancel the offer and post them again .... i dont have any other idea :S

I am new to bitfinex, so maybe I am doing something wrong, but my loans did not seem to auto-renew either.
EDIT: last one did auto-renew

Hi extrav,

I too had just done a transfer and whereas Bitinstant said it should complete to Gox in an hour or so, it took about 2-3.  They're seemingly on a bit of a delay.

Your funds will get there, not to worry.

Good info bro.

I hope they do eventually. I always get freaked out when money is floating on the network.

It's NOT floating on the network.  The address got the bitcoins. Bitcoin network did it's job just fine. The question is : if you donated to the right address, why isn't gox showing it on their website?
1906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy 1 Bitcoin or Not Buy 1 Bitcoin, thoughts? on: March 27, 2013, 02:51:31 AM
You will get the most bang for your buck by buying one BTC and sending it to the Bitcoin address in my signature.

I will tell you how this helps afterwards. You may be pleased by the result.

Could u be more vague please, haha!  C'mon , like I don't have enough on my mind right now...  Here's a thought,  why don't u just tell me how I'd be pleased by the result NOW?   Grin

I said you may be pleased.

Might not too...I know I would be pleased.

Lol, he is obviously joking about ripping you off.

1909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy 1 Bitcoin or Not Buy 1 Bitcoin, thoughts? on: March 27, 2013, 01:43:39 AM
I want in but the price sort of seems high.  What do you Knowledgeable experienced people think would be the best time to buy 1 btc and see where it goes?  If you don't have a good grasp on graphs and the Bitcoin markeIf you buy, don't ts then pls don't post, this is to help me and others get a grasp of what we should do next without reading posts with people bickering.

I've been ready to buy since $13 and waited and now obviously I'm paying for that mistake.  I don't have a good grasp on graphs and a strong idea what could happen next.  I understand it's not all about graphs and I don't plan to make my decision based on others comments in here but I'd like valuable posts to help me make a final decision, please stay on topic.  What should I do buy or coin or wait for a lower price, if u think wait please fully explain why if u feel the opposite please fully explain why, if you are unsure what could happen next please fully explain why.  Please be respectful of others and there opinions, thanks!  Smiley

Just don't buy to panic sell when it drops back to $40 or something like that, bitcoin is very volatile, and its entirely possible that we have a decent sized correction soon after the big run-up (or maybe we won't).  If it were up to me though, I ld rather have 1 bitcoin than no bitcoin.

Best coverage ive seen yet in the UK. As a brit i can tell you the presenter of that show is an extremely aggressive interviewer normally, so for it to go that passively is huge!

Maybe he is just afraid he'll come over as an idiot if he criticizes something he doesn't fully understand?
Doing that when something is going down is no problem for most people, when it's shining.. not so much.  (Didnt stop Chris Duane though  Grin )
1913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 26, 2013, 11:28:36 PM
What goes up, always came down... until Bitcoin.  Cool

Oh I think Bitcoin might become one of the biggest bubbles ever, just give it 20 years.
Exactly! And then we will have a "crash" down to $100,000 Smiley

Wow, that 'll be one deep fall !   Smiley

EDIT: Better answer: 'Daddy, what is a dollar? '
1914  Economy / Speculation / Re: this forum needs a better name on: March 26, 2013, 11:27:44 PM

Tell me, did ordinary people benefit from email coming into existence?  Did it solve any problems?  It's just another form of mail isn't it?
1917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Memespeculation on: March 26, 2013, 02:58:52 AM
let me guess, you sold out a while ago?

Nah, i buy a sell whenever i see an opportunitty...

But let me guess, you will never spend your bitcoins, right?

How does it feel to only be able to value your bitcoins in fiat?Huh :p

I took some profits (always been very open about that on the forum), and I will take more in the future.

Are you f*ing kidding me?  (I guess not)
That sounds humongous to a 'normal' person like me.
1920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble? Growth? One goat's thoughts on: March 26, 2013, 02:00:35 AM
I agree.

31 was the first sellof
2 was the bear trap
something between 78 and infinity will be new paradigm

Personally, I see $2 as the despair of bubble nr. 1, but its not that big  a difference I guess.

and finally
despair will go below 1.

Umm, no.  You are overlooking the fact that bitcoin has a very nice 'mean' trendline going on, so in absence of fundamentally really bad news, I doubt we'll ever see $1 again (and I have my doubts if we'll ever see single digits again, my money is on no)

In the long run, we are just starting to see institutional investors starting to dip their toes in (though in this case, maybe the public might like bitcoin faster than institutions?  dunno).
