How come that never happens on my tickets  Huh Usually when I need one more goal it ends with referee showing 2 minutes additional time or like yesterday:

I only needed Rijeka to score to win my ticket on local fiat bookie, since Sportsbet did not have that market I had to go fiat, damn. They scored regular goal in the beginning of the match and it got disallowed via VAR due to offside. Later on lost 1:0 to Osijek. Chief of referees gave a statement today apologizing for that decision since they drew the lines with wrong defensive player and said it is totally unacceptable that things like that can happen. Lots of comfort for me Smiley

It happened to me a few times last season that I won picks from a goal in last minutes, and also I remember losing a ticket on Liverpool that drew to Everton because referee called off their last goal which should have won the match. So that is a worse feeling even though I did not watch the game,,, but imagine thinking you are winning a big big multi and VAR call off for tiny offside. Thankfully this season they said benefit of attacker is back in existence:)

Anyway, I know this was not last minute goal but my favorite memory on late goal needed is on Multimasters which I will never forget. I cannot even remember what all the other games I picked right was but with one last game to go, I was tied 10/14 with 2 others and everybody picked Arsenal as favorites but I picked Leicester. Then Vardy made my dream come true with late goal and I got 11/15:)

This game was also memorable because I looked at it often and it had cards+corners+goals=21;)
1902  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in 2017 again? How do you feel about the price chart today? on: August 18, 2021, 04:15:49 AM
The next halving is still in the year 2024. That is still very far from today. There are still 3 years more before it happens. So I guess it is still too early to talk of a crypto winter before that next halving takes place. And even if that crypto winter finally comes, I know Bitcoin's price is still a lot higher than today, more than $100,000 most probably.

Bitcoin not strong enough for $100,000 because people are having Bitcoin for all the wrong reasons? I don't think so. If people are buying Bitcoin for all the wrong reasons, that doesn't matter to Bitcoin. The way you use and treat Bitcoin is all up to you. But the moment you bought Bitcoin you already drove up the demand and contributed to the price increase.

Feels already like a long time actually for me since the last halving,,, and when we see that rallies usually start within a year of the halving, we are definitely according to the past in a rally now. Rallies also do not last long and then there is a period of 2 years before the next one so we definitely should not be thinking of a rally that goes into 2022,,,

@leea-1334. I reckon if the downward volatility is beginning to give you a bad day, you should reduce your position hehe. However, what do you do to those profits if the market remains a bull market? If reinvesting I would suggest look into the projects in the Solana ecosystem. They presently appear to be having the strongest pumps.

I am never a trader, my position is always to add,,, and in the sense that dips happen I enjoy them which is why I do not want to see markets go up too fast, because then I do not have enough time to add to my holding haha.

Solana? I will pass thank you:) Show me 10 users and I change my mind:P
1904  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: August 17, 2021, 03:52:10 PM
City was a bit of a shock that is true, Jack did played nicely if ask me, he ran everywhere and looked pumped up and hyped about being in City, aside from that it is the first game and sometimes these things do happen, I am sure it will gradually become their league once again, they are unfortunately way too dominant to make premier league any fun, but I hope that they won't this year, that would be swell to watch.

Yes,,, even Pep said he was really good and he got fouled five times in the box or nearby, which was supposedly the most any City player had ever been fouled (Sterling managed four or something). That alone tells you he is a dangerous element added to already a very dangerous team in City,,, they just need to learn to be more direct or they always suffer on counter. Spurs on the other hand need to learn to do more different and cannot keep relying on Son supreme counter:)
1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: August 17, 2021, 03:22:21 PM
I think a strong feeling we have either a bust or win tonight, this is Haaland on fire versus Lewandowski special:)

Total point : 18 and its a push. Im glad that this one was a push because it had 10 corners just for the 1st half and 2 cards. There was a high possibility that the 2nd half might had bizarre amount of corners and the possibility of goals that might put us way ahead of 21 points

I would bet my entire fortune that it would be 100% bust if it was a game from the Brazilian League  Tongue

A tale of 2 halves as they like to say in football:) I am also happy with push when you have so many numbers before the game is half done.

Did we get many busts from Brazil League? Shocked
1906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $48k the next Bitcoin benchmark? on: August 17, 2021, 07:32:03 AM
it turns out that the market is a little in the opposite direction from the speculation we made, bitcoin is now a little weak after being too tired to pump a few days ago. looks like bitcoin needs a bit of a vitamin so that in the future it can break through back to its $48,000 target. yesterday I was very excited when the price of bitcoin broke through $47,000 almost close to $48,000, but now bitcoin is fluctuating again and is at $45,405 today.

I do not think it is anything about weakness or getting tired,,, it has been doing this slow pump for many days and weeks now, meaning it is just building steam patiently. The bears are the impatient ones trying to prevent 50k so they are doing their best but it will not be enough looking at this rate!
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 17, 2021, 07:00:20 AM
Today I made my payments for both pools (here and la liga together),,, I know Trofo has a record but I just wanted to say also since I registered late and for my tracking:)

Has anybody changed their picks after the latest games and transfers? I did not even realize until the weekend that Lukaku was with Chelsea:P
You are in, don't worry Smiley

Changed my picks? Did not even made them yet. Waiting for a couple more days before taking a crack at guessing Serie A scores. Could be a couple more big transfers like Vlahovic to Spurs.

I always put picks in and then change it when it is close to the game time. This way in case I cannot get online then I have a pick saved. Last season in EPL pool I had a lot of issues with Superbru loading during game days and you could not enter picks for upcoming matches.

By the way,,, I am last in La Liga pool. I hope I do better in this one. This is why I should not play leagues I do not know about:)
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 17, 2021, 05:54:13 AM
So much crazy news in transfers I see even Coutinho linked to Arsenal huh?Smiley It will make them a lot better in midfield though but their problem is actually finishing and defence,,, not really midfield (to me).

Mbappe go to Liverpool also crazy, but maybe he seems to really want to go also for a fresh challenge?

Thanks for new contest too:) I got early picks in Cool
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 17, 2021, 05:06:53 AM
Did Tottenham really do it? Then yeah, we won't be seeing him at Manchester City this summer most probably. But I was really hoping to see him there. He is just wasting his career at Tottenham struggling to win even one title. He is a world-class striker and a team like Tottenham don't deserve him.

It does not change anything. City and anybody can still submit bids for players even though they are registered with other teams. I remember in past seasons players get transferred but cannot play for the new club in a competition because they already played for another team still in the competition.

So basically,,, registration is easy to change and only once the tournament starts it is a problem (and Conference is not where City is so also not a problem).

1911  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading needs consistent attention and full concentration on: August 16, 2021, 03:40:28 PM
Maybe it works for you but for me, it won't and I realize that it needs more time and effort. With the changes I've made, it was found to be more profiting and the results is too far from what I did before.
Yes, it doesn't need to be glued all day on the screen and never does this as I was just a casual trader even the other day traders but having a long-time spend on the market will help us to be more aware of the current trend and this gives us some view which strategy we have to apply and consider this as an advantage.

Trust me it does not even work for him or anyone who posted here in this thread that it worked for them,,, And if they argue, simply ask for the proof, which is very easy to get if they really were traders.

Real traders do not waste time on this kind of threads. Too busy actually trading.

Glued to screen "traders" are actually speculators and gamblers. The painful truth:)
1912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Third time is the charm, shorters failed yet another time on: August 16, 2021, 01:43:23 PM
@pooya87. There might be a fourth time hehe. There might also be many people that might say I am antagonizing again, however, the resistance near $50k is very strong. There is also a bearish divergence. This might imply another dump before it can pump, I reckon.

It all depends on how US reacts today I guess when us Asians close down and they take over,,, take profits easy a 47.5? Or buy in more in wait for the reverse to happen and 50k onwards?

The best thing about the dumps now is they are not even 5% losses at the time being, which is totally incredible if you think about it:)

I only took two of the specials so I did not lose too much,,, I had a feeling it was going to be very hard to hit even 1 of them because always there is one game out of ten to let you down, and I guess our match was the one that did Tongue

But remember, this is not a marathon,,, nice to get a good start but now need to have consistency. Southampton and Arsenal have plenty of time to improve!
1915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $48k the next Bitcoin benchmark? on: August 16, 2021, 09:04:38 AM
Bitcoin just touched the $48,000 level yesterday, and then went right back to $47k-$46k.
The upward momentum seems to be continuing next week though Bitcoin and other major alts are experiencing short pullbacks, but the market sentiments seems very positive.
I as well is positive for Bitcoin to hit the $50,000 strong resistance, maybe next week or the coming week before August ends.

Not really very much of a point to compare from day to day,,, as in a few hours things can change quickly especially when we approach and exit from the weekend, as we have now observed every Friday/Monday in August:)

But what is for certain is higher highs. Even after dropping below 46k yesterday there was a bounce that is now looking like it will test 48k again!
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 16, 2021, 07:50:36 AM
I only got a close score for Spurs win,,, but I would have been happy even with 1 point, it was really cool to see the team get this win against City and fans will remember this was not the first time we got over Pep and his magic team.

So, so happy for Son but I hope we find a way to protect him more because he cannot be running like that every game (even though he does).

I liked how Spurs fans cheared Nuno Santo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼  good way to start in a new Clun by beating last season champions that trying to take your star player.

I still miss Poch,,, but I was ready to accept Mou,,, and I am not so sure about Nuno but he is for sure as nice a guy as Poch, so happy for him and of course Spurs fans are rewarded too, to beat the guy trying to take our boy. The villain is still Levy though:(
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 16, 2021, 07:15:32 AM
Man city was shit. Tottenham looked the best we have seen them for a couple of years if they can keep us that form I do not see any reason why they would not finish in the top 4.

Tottenham usually starts that way at the beginning of each season and then they begin to backslide with each passing matchday. Let's just watch, their stunning performance will start deteriorating in the coming games. However, if they can maintain this form and continue maintaining the consistency, they might compete for at least one trophy this season - maybe enough to convince Kane to sign a new contract but that's if he doesn't make a move before the transfer window closes.

Overall, it was good to see Tottenham smashed everyone's expectations by thumping on the reigning champions.

As much as I hate to admit it,,, but you are right, this has been our curse for a few seasons no matter our manager but actually it is because we have not really had a change of people on the grass.

Kane and Son are getting tired by mid season (or Kane injury like every season) and you always have hot/cold Dele Alli or Moura either playing their best or not. Bergwijn is still finding his space.
1918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: August 16, 2021, 05:49:54 AM
For one, you have to consider that cryptocurrency mining is decentralized, and that these miners, some uses more energy than others, and while some use more energy, some of them also use clean, renewable energy sources and leaves a very small carbon footprint. Sure you can spread news like crypto mining is bad for the environment and many people will believe in it and will somehow put crypto as a dirty technology for polluting the planet and all, but I also have to consider the politics and the motives of those who say it is a bad technology too. Are they sincere or do they have an agenda?

Not 100% decentralized. For sure more decentralized than anything else you can take into comparison, and after the China ban in fact a bit more of a blessing than a curse because it forced even more decentralization now and allowed more variety of nodes to be part of the Bitcoin network.

But that apart, old arguments about environment must always take into account cost + benefit. Not just cost alone like all these people do,,, which ignores what we get from the mining (security most importantly).
1919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know the difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin? on: August 16, 2021, 05:10:45 AM
I actually do know the difference and still try to use it but let me tell you now that most people do not care and it is okay:)
Most people don't care about putting a capital letter at the beginning of their sentences or finishing them with a full stop. But still, some might find it interesting to know the difference.

For example, do you know whether it should be "the internet" or just "internet" or even "Internet"?
I think it's similar to Bitcoin. The capital letter refers to the technology. I would have to look up what a non-capitalized letter in 'internet' means though. Most people wont care about that either anyways Grin

Grin me too. I did learn about the difference but when I write I no longer really think,,, but I see definitely for example some big media still insist on using only small letter b for Bitcoin even when referring to the network.

In the end,,, as I explained, some circumstances always use B. All markets use capital B even though it is actually referring to "coins" not network. See this article, over the years, Internet slowly became internet:) https://www.brookings.edu/blog/techtank/2016/06/01/associated-press-style-change-marks-growth-of-internet-and-web/

Same will happen for bitcoin when it becomes mass adopted. Like Dollar became dollar:)
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: August 15, 2021, 01:01:06 PM
We almost busted or won blackjack,,, depending on how you look at it because by 81 minute we were already on 19 points, so usually you bust with 7 minute extra time but somehow with 16 minutes there was only 1 point gained so we arrived at a nice push. My team plays today and we are expected to lose as even Kane is not confirmed in the lineup so far but we believe in Son!
