1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [QRK] Noobproof VPS Quarkcoin All-In-One EZ Setup Script (updated) on: August 28, 2013, 09:56:34 PM
There is a small mistake in the script, at the top QUARK_USER is set but further down when it is used it says QUARKCOIN_USER so no username is saved to the config file
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MarieCurieCoin, all-in-one altcoin (MCC) on: August 28, 2013, 09:46:26 PM
We want to make an altcoin that doesn't fail on an important aspect, one that isn't just litecoin-clone #123.
That is going to be the hard part
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: August 28, 2013, 09:14:41 PM
Which pool is everyone mining at?
Solo currently, considering giving eule's pool a shot.

Has anyone used eule's pool and willing to offer some feedback?

Appears down, it is throwing python errors.

And eule's pool should be added to the OP

Why no GitHub?
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for people to run Altcoin givaways on: August 28, 2013, 07:20:08 AM
I would be willing to run one of these, however the first appears to only be 26/100 so far.

Is there something wrong with the pool at http://176.221.46.81:8372?
I added 3 servers with around 1,000 kh/s total, the miner was running properly, getting shares and everything, but I got no payment and nothing in the Block explorer after several hours, even after double checking that I put the proper address in the miner.  Embarrassed
I too had problems with that pool after successfully earning payouts for an hour they stopped coming.

It looks like there are 2 additional pools though now, but I have not used either yet I'm solo mining currently

I can't get mine working properly...   it's getting some error about 'quark-hash' not being found or some such & not loading headers...   just going to take it down instead of leaving that shell up  Grin

Bummer, I think we need to have multiple pools running to help with the whole decentralization thing this community seems to live by

All have been arrested.
Evidence or is this a theory?
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: August 28, 2013, 03:04:54 AM
我挖了三天一个都没挖到,I5 3210
I did not dig dug three days one, I5 3210 --- Google translate

1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | Multi Algorithm on: August 27, 2013, 09:14:19 PM
Launch will be tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8 PM UTC time. An alternative launch time if that causes too much conflict is Friday at 1 PM UTC.

I will have a guide and the QT ready. Although I'm sure someone will make a better guide.

The details of the ascending rewards will be posted shortly. That is the final decision to be made.

let me ask the question again.

Even though you're basing it on BTC, the new hash algorithms introduced that make it a CPU only coin will not allow the use of any of the regular BTC miners, correct? If so, is the client the only way to mine SRC until changes are introduced to one of the current BTC CPU miners? Is this correct?
BTC miners can only hash sha256 and since he says in the OP it is using multiple hash algorithms so a bitcoin minder will not work.

that's what I thought, so we're limited to mine on the QT

Until someone follows up with a Secure Coin pool miner

not a team of ~ / myinfo http://imgur.com/BYy5I29
~/myinfo only shows the addresses and keys that have earned QRK coins, since you haven't mined any yet it shows nothing.

Irony - video not enabled for mobile.

I am unsure what you mean ?, I am not a youtube expert ?
if you try viewing the video from a cell phone such as iPhone or Android it gives an error saying the "uploader has not made this video available to mobile devices"-or similar wording. I think there is a check box somewhere to enable mobile viewing but I'm not sure where

8 AM or PM ? Smiley
The way it is written (0800) would imply military time, 8am.

It is 16 minutes past already
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] cryptothrift - BitCoin and LiteCoin Auction Site on: August 27, 2013, 04:59:01 AM
The interface and design of the website look much better than BitMit with the addition of accepting LTC.

Is there any location checking based upon IP or is that handled only when you are logged in? I get told I can't bid even when I am in the correct country.

Sorry, you can not buy or bid on this item. Shipping for this item is not available to your country, shipping is available to USA only.

It does look an awful lot like Quark coin...
1940  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: August 26, 2013, 12:23:44 AM
whats wrong with 7970 cards? they don't work well with Litecoin-mining and vanity generating also doesn't work ..

I have a damn expensive card and now my fu*king i7-3770k cpu is faster than my 7970 in vanity generating  Angry

I want to use Win7 x64 + AMD 7970 + Catalyst 13.8 + oclvanitygen !!!!

but I always get this stupid gpuhash-cpuhash-found-delta-ERROR

Whose fault is that? AMD ?

please fix this !!!!!!!!
Why do you want v13.8 why can you not downgrade to 12.8?
