1221  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: UnTorrent.Me - Convert torrents into zip downloads on: February 21, 2015, 12:26:12 PM
I tried downloading a torrent a day ago.

The file a I downloaded came with no extention.

So I couldn't open it.

Just add .zip and it's fine.

Downloads should now be named based upon the original torrent name and feature .zip at the end rather than based upon their hash
1222  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: UnTorrent.Me - Convert torrents into zip downloads on: February 21, 2015, 12:24:49 PM
This service looks great for people like me who can't download movies through torrents legally. And payment by bitcoin is even better :

Be sure you have the right to download anything you may pass through https://UnTorrent.Me such as the Public Domain Night of the Living Dead https://archive.org/download/night_of_the_living_dead/night_of_the_living_dead_archive.torrent

Can you please sign a message that includes today's date (sorry for not being specific)? I would also suggest taking down that post as without a date anyone can impersonate you.

If you can and can agree to repay .27 then I can lend to you.

Since you suggest he remove the message to prevent impersonation you should probably remove it from your quote as well.
The signature was removed which is all that matters
Ah, yes, I didn't notice that at first. Carry on. Wink

1225  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wardrick scammed me out of $110 on: February 21, 2015, 03:11:23 AM
Just because you scammed someone who you suspect of being a scammer, doesn't make you any less of a scammer.

James has seemingly dissapeared already according to the posters in his sale thread although it's only been a day and a half.

This isn't legit. The same photo appears on ebay for $900 ending in 6 hours and it has a couple bids so it's already sold, and on ebay it says it comes with a 750GB SSD and 1TB drive.

Ebay features more photos and says shipping from Florida.

How does the donation thing work? I've donated a couple times and the available to download fluctuates. It went for about 7 GB available one day, and I was going to download a 6 GB zip file. Then an hour later it only had 3 GB available. So I donated more to get that back up and today it's 270 MB. What gives?

The donation/payment system hasn't been automated yet I had just been setting it to a 10GB limit every few days whether the was a donation or not.

I just set it to 100GB so you should have plenty to download your 7GB file.

As the poll is deciding I'll likely implement per user quotas and accounts soon

I don't know about you, but I would rather have whatever server that dagi has... His was fast.

Well first off his wasn't a server he said it's his desktop pc. As I stated earlier the server I'm running is rather old 2.66Ghz from 2009 whereas dagi probably has a 4Ghz modern i5 or something Wink

While it is entirely possible to get a faster cpu in a server it's often not needed as in general servers are meant for parallel operations not intense single threaded work.

All while Abe was doing it's thing the server also compiled a new alt coin daemon synced with it's network, built an entire abe.sqlite for the alt coin, is now running as an explorer for said alt.

The biggest factor in my choice of processor is price however Wink

cca 180-200kB/s .... 40 hours  Roll Eyes

 Smiley

While mine would transfer the 7z faster I believe I'm still more than 40 hours out on finishing the sync and the bounty is likely yours, congrats.

you can calculate your remaining time. if you know how long you sync your db (current size) and if you know that final size is 78.8GB (i guess a few weeks)

I've been running for about one week or so and it's probably approaching halfway. Transaction 28million out  of the 60/70 million or so

7Ziped db size is 32,2GB

Where do you have that saved?  Your desktop or on a server?

Curious how long that'll take to transfer now.

Additionally I'm going to keep syncing just in case anything should go wrong Wink
Block ~270k

i have it on my desktop ....

What's your upload like?

What's the waiting period on this thing? It's been an hour since I made payment.....

A good thing to check is a users General Statistics to see what time they are most active then you get a better idea when the best time to make a trade.

k must be an integer.
