yeuh but what are you doing? are you performing calculations on an
elliptic curve?

From what I gather we are brute-forcing searching Curve25519 for a specific number not disclosed to us
1322  Economy / Services / Re: [30 BTC Bounty] - Find a mathematical / algorithmical formula on: February 05, 2015, 10:45:22 AM
I am a programmer/developer, pretty good with maths but this thread blew my brain multiple times.

The wonders of cryptography.

Rather the incompetence of the op.

So, did someone get what he is asking for and could kindly repeat it in a clear, concise way without
abusing mathematical terms too much? That would be great.

It's basically what Jesse James and I were doing but we are only doubling, you must also check addition in order to satisfy his request
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling XCOM Enemy Unkown Steam Keys on: February 05, 2015, 10:28:37 AM
I bought these cd-keys when prices were lower than 2 euros. Now I'm willing to make some profit as Kinguin's prices has gone up to 3 euros. I would need at least full name and Steam account's email address and maybe also access to that email address, if I would be interested to steal ones Steam account. But I'm just trying to make business here.

Yea, it's Altcoin Agent who's misunderstanding that, he thought you were selling a steam account which you could later contact steam support and claim it was stolen. Steam returns the account and you keep the BTC.

But you not selling an account you are selling the CD key so all the buyer has to do is open steam and click
Code:
Game -> Activate a product/game on Steam
and enter the code to receive the game. No risk of any accounts being lost.

Would have been better without the censoring, however being a store I guess we have to make compromises.

what will be the benefit of buying an account with negative trust? Huh

Some signature campaigns allow negative trust users and the account already has a decent activity/post count
1327  Economy / Services / Re: [30 BTC Bounty] - Find a mathematical / algorithmical formula on: February 05, 2015, 08:26:36 AM
Here's my C++ implementation: https://github.com/bitspill/CurveBounty

The version I PM'd you the other day was ATROCIOUS that was my mind at 4am and it suffered as such, here is a revamped version. If I'm on the right path I can make some adjustments but I don't want to pursue this if I'm running in the wrong direction.

It is the right direction, but it looks like a brute force approach. If it works good (and fast) for all search x, this should be fine, but at this moment an x which is not a power of two would not be found.  Wink

Yes it is brute forcing it. Wink

I'm not sure as to what you mean by an x can't be found if it's not a power of two, the following x is not a power of 2:
Code:
x=83402281777707715381485212681368749158073214888176003645002923212220704930560
log_2(x) = 255.5266

If you are referencing the _i's those are only printed every 256 so as to not bog down performance with constant console writes but yet often enough to know it hasn't stalled.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling XCOM Enemy Unkown Steam Keys on: February 05, 2015, 08:02:39 AM
The problem is that there's no way to know if your account is not stolen.
Even if it's not stolen, you could contact steam support and get everything back after this deal, claiming you got hacked.

This is why steam accounts are not really traded here, it kinda works like Paypal ; in that it's easy to charge back.
He's not selling a steam account, rather cd keys to be redeemed
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: February 05, 2015, 07:59:04 AM
No harm trying...

Except maybe the 2+ btc lost should it not work out

Although I've not been keeping up with the site I got out months ago. Just recently checked in after it appeared in my Watchlist
1330  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling My Account Once and For All on: February 05, 2015, 07:56:57 AM
It's very weird that is all different.

Depends on if you have DefaultTrust or a custom list and how high your trust depth is set.

The settings can be viewed/changed at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
1331  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling My Account Once and For All on: February 05, 2015, 07:48:06 AM
I'll offer you 0.002 BTC for both  Wink

So i just made a few btc deposit here, but i dont see it reflecting back on the site despite already having a few confirmations.. anyone else facing any issues ?

edit : 1st part of the deposit showed up, 2nd part (2btc) still missing despite having confirmations  Sad

edit2 : received everything after about 5 confirmations... definitely a ghetto site alright... lol

Why would you invest 2+ btc into a ghetto website?

If the operator's been MIA for a year, support doesn't respond, etc. why even take a chance
1335  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Starbucks Gift Cards $25 each or $22 each if you buy 5 or more on: February 05, 2015, 04:05:59 AM
I bought 3 cards yesterday, used 2 of them, and then the 3rd was closed after only 18 hours.  I PM'd the seller for a replacement and will update when all is good.  He seems pretty legit and supportive so I am hopeful.

How did you spend $50 on coffee in one day?
1336  Economy / Services / Re: [30 BTC Bounty] - Find a mathematical / algorithmical formula on: February 04, 2015, 01:05:47 PM
If you want a solution, don't raise the bounty but get your question right.

At the moment, this is not at all about finding a solution, but about guessing what
exactly you're asking for. You will only attract php-kiddies in this way.

When he posts test vectors we can infer the proper question.

Not that anyone really cares to buy the site...

Since you are just going to deflect I would personally take that as an admission that you are the same of those people

Since you are also deflecting I take that as an admission you are in fact Quickseller. Wink
1339  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wardrick scammed me out of $110 on: February 04, 2015, 07:12:55 AM
Unlocking thread

Interesting to see how a legendary is called a scammer in this situation and I'm called a scammer in my situation which is basically the same situation.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=765861.msg8792190#msg8792190

The person you quoted had a scammer tag for some scam. You are selling stolen SB gift cards. The trust that the person you referenced is likely not from the transaction in question.

Reading the actual topic does resemble a similar situation, while the large negative is from the oldscammertag if you scroll down you see 3 more related to the SB GC

Code:
Tried to scam Sofia26 then negrep'd me when I defended a legit seller. Fuck right off. He is also already a proven scammer.
-----------------------------------------
attempted to scammed sofia26
-----------------------------------------
He is big SCAMMER, used 2 gift card and then wanted me to refund for him... Fuck

How does a warranty get void?

"If card is invalid within 7 days of purchase I will change"

Passed 7 day mark

Oh, so you mean it expired/ended not that it is voided.
