1941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is DEAD Again!! on: December 20, 2017, 02:10:33 PM
Hi,

Sorry but no bitcoin is not dead. It is just a normal reaction from the market after a period of crazy increases.

Today, some people are selling/exchanging bitcoin for other crypto-currencies. No worries, it will rise again.

However, you are right, there are some things that should be dealt with if we want the bitcoin to last!

Hi,

You actually summarize the questions that every bitcoiners worry about. We don't know how to turn this volatile currency into a money that can be used in everyday life. We hope it will last. We bet on making large profits.

Truth is that we don't have the slightest idea about what will happen. But we are trying, hoping luck will be on our side!

1945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profit or No profit? on: December 19, 2017, 03:08:08 PM
Hi,

Sorry but it cannot be that simple. I mean, you cannot make profit without any risk..

You know, you should not see bitcoin as a mere source of short-term profit, because this won't work. You don't need bitcoin for that. Bitcoin is luch more than a new tool for trading!
1946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: future of Bitcoin In this world? on: December 19, 2017, 02:09:43 PM
Hi,

We believe in bitcoin because it is an alternative. A new way to think and create money. The fact that government and large institutions don't recognize it is actually a great point! It means they are not looking forward controlling and manipulating it. Though, I guess it will come if bitcoin grow in power!

Maybe one day bitcoin and its community will be large enough and powerfull enough to allow you make your daily shopping with your wallet. Though, is it such a good idea? It can mean that within a year, the price of.. let's say butter can rise from 1$ to 1000.

I personnally am waiting to see what happen next. And I'm enthusiastic!
1947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if Bitcoin Price Crashes on: December 19, 2017, 01:25:54 PM
We do not see post like this one so often...

If I wake up and the bitcoin is worth less than 1 dollar, I sure quickly buy some. In the worst situation, I lose 20 dollars for my 20 bitcoins, in the best.. Well, the price skyrocket and I am definitely rich.

If I wake up and the price is crazy up.. Then, it is harder. Should I sell or is it still too soon? Hard to say!

Last, I hope your wife will never see your post. Poor her..
1948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin rising so high? on: December 19, 2017, 12:56:56 PM
I think the position of the experts and traditionnal economists is logical. They cannot understand what is happening with bitcoin. For any traditionnal currency, such volatility is indeed worrying and shows that the correspounding money is unreliable.

However, for bitcoin.. Actually we can't conclude anything with only the information we have. Bitcoin is not used for daily consumption, rather for investment and trading. Bitcoin is not printed on bills or emitted in cash.

Actually, we have no accurate models to apprehend and forecast moves.

Conclusion: for the moment, we enjoy the rise and try to make the most of it! Wink
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Jumps High This year on: December 19, 2017, 11:15:13 AM
Hi,

No one can grant you that for sure bitcoin will rise again in 2018. But chances are it actually will.
Trends for bitcoin prices are chaotic, that's even because of that volatility that many people are affraid to invest in crypto-currencies. Unlike traditionnal moneys, you can't be sure of the rate you will get as it can completely change from one day to another.

Still, bitcoin is on the rise. There are more and more people joigning the community. Of course, if you had invested in January 2017, you would have make a huge profit by now.. But it is not "too late". Many people think so just because the opportunity seems to be a huge miss now.. But at the time, there were already people saying that bitcoin would no longer rise.

In other words: let's go and invest in bitcoin! Wink
1950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Better Late than Never? on: December 19, 2017, 10:05:19 AM
Hi,

I sincerely think you can indeed jump in. The only drawback is that your profit may be over the very long term... So be ready to "forget" about this invest for quite a while...

Better late than never, indeed.

As for daily use of bitcoin, that's a big struggle. I know a bar where you can use bitcoin but I don't think they sell household items! Wink
1951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone explain the current market to me?? on: December 19, 2017, 09:55:55 AM
Hi,

It is actually quite hard to explain.. What I can give you are some hints, some pieces of information that might explain partly what we can see..

First, we are at the end of the year. This means that the bitcoin rises generally speaking. This year, though, the rise was very impressive and particularly chaotic.
Then, there are people betting on other crypto-currencies that bitcoin, to avoid being stuck.
Third, there are some firms (CME and others) trying to make the most of such a strange market.

Finally if you add all this, we can imagine that after huge rises, people tend to be quite reluctant to bet again on bitcoin (because it seems to be "too much") and other crypto are trying to "win" market shares.

That's how I see things. I don't say that it fully explains the situation but at least it makes it logical..  Wink
1952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Booming in the Czech Republic on: December 19, 2017, 09:48:21 AM
Hi!

Quite interesting indeed... Maybe it is also true for other countries, not only Czech Republic, but as it is quite impressive in the later medias highlight it.

Anyway, there is no borders for bitcoin, it is also why it is so interesting! I hope the community will keep on growing!
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing Streak Strategy on: December 18, 2017, 10:34:19 PM
Best losing streak strategy is to make a pause.
You should lose when gambling, that will mathematically happen whatever your basic strategy is. So you should at least be able to manage your emotions when you lose and the best way to do it is to prevent yourself from tilting by stopping everything for a few minutes.
Stop thinking, get away from your computer and just don't do anything for 15 minutes. That's the best way to not continue raising the bets in a stupid way just because you react impulsively saying "there is no way this losing streak will continue"
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitsler or freebitcoin, which one is the fairest ? on: December 17, 2017, 04:43:25 PM
Bitsler without any hesitation!

It's not that freebitcoin isn't a good site, it's just that it's not a real casino site.
If I remember well the house edge is about 7% ? Something like that?
So you can't really call that a gambling website or something fair xD
But the good point is that freebitcoin is a faucet so you don't have to deposit :3
1955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Schools Are Officially Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition on: December 15, 2017, 03:51:59 PM
Hi,

Interesting indeed.. That's a great thing, because it typically makes people talk about it without recquiring much investment (except for the school itself maybe..)

One issue though... How is the price fixed? Is it according to the day you come to pay your tuition? I mean regarding the rate of exchange... Because that means that all students may pay 1 bitcoin the year.. and for some it means 17k whereas for other it is "only" 11k.

Understand my issue? I am really curious about how you can fix all issues linked with bitcoin volatility when you use it IRL.
1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top Bitcoin Predictions Next Year on: December 15, 2017, 03:50:01 PM
Let's say 100k!  Grin

Actually, I don't have the slightest dea about how it will go... I guess that by January 18, we will see a sharp drop... The rise currently occurring is just.. "too much"!

But then, I think it will increase again.. reaching levels that seems impossible for the moment.

Of course, I don't wanna to believe it will fall, but I am pretty sure it won't. More and more people are getting involved, it "has" to grow.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Carrying Hardware Wallets When Traveling Internationally on: December 15, 2017, 03:06:28 PM
Hi,

Good question.
Indeed I have travelled a lot in my life (and will do it again I guess), but such concern never reached my mind..

I actually think this is not important... for the moment. Because currently, if you are asking what you carry it is to avoid carrying "real" money (thus preventing drug dealers and others to easily clean up their money abroad). As far as I know, for individuals travelling this is just a basic information asked to avoid big scams.

Don't worry about your bitcoin for now! (But if you have the legal answer to such question, I really am interesed!)
1958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it make any sense to buy Bitcoin now? on: December 15, 2017, 02:03:26 PM
Hi,

Maybe not 30.000%..
But you know there are many investments that are more profitable over the short-term than bitcoin. If you invest, maybe you should look further, not only considering profits but also what bitcoin allows..

A whole part of the community is trying to build new businesses, develop new opportunities and fight for more freedom. Not just individual profit  Wink

Last, no one can grant you potential profit. If you buy bitcoin only for trading.. well buy only what you can afford to lose and good luck!
1959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin Bubble Burst Again to $6000! on: December 15, 2017, 01:59:43 PM
Hi,

I would say you can't. That against all bitcoin principles and that would deeply hurt the community.

I mean, I love bitcoin because it supposedly cannot be controlled by any institution. It is what makes its volatility so high but it is also a guarantee that no one truly control it.

So please, if you want to play with money, without caring about the consequences, do it with fiat money, not bitcoin. Because bitcoin is a hope for many people!
1960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its good the China banned crypto because now the price doesn't need China. on: December 15, 2017, 01:28:07 PM
Hi,

Chinese bitcoiners represent quite a large part of the community.. but they don't need bitcoin to be legal in their country. Please, face it, currently, no country is indeed allowing bitcoin.. I mean there is nowhere (as far as I know) where you can do your daily shopping with bitcoin.

We need to develop such infrastructures by ourselves. And actually for the moment, banning or not isn't the real concern!  Wink
