1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you did not listen before, now is last chance to reduce your loss on: February 06, 2018, 10:44:30 AM
Hi,

That's very nice of you to warn us. Really, you are such a good person. Cheesy

Now, get out of this forum. If yu don't believe in bitcoins and don't want to invest, you can go away. Nobody is asking you to stay. If we still hold, we have our reasons. I understand your concern and yes, it is kind to think about others. But I think you are quite missing what bitcoin truly is, what is the inner concept.

So thank you for the advice and now you can leave. Don't worry, if bitcoin ends, you will hear about the many losses, even out of the forum, you can still enjoy your incredibly accurate insights!
1782  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price is decreasing. What's your strategies now? on: February 06, 2018, 10:35:27 AM
Hi,

Bitcoin prices are having ups and downs. Quite chaotic. That's normal.

I don't understand why people are waitng for the price to become "stable". Well,it won't. As long as bitcoin is only used as a trading tool, then people will keep on betting on uncertain moves. So stability is completely out of question in such situation.

I understand that stability is needed if we want to use bitcoin as a daily currency. But otherwise, the moves we can currently observe... are just normal for bitcoin (and alt coins generally speakng).
1783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: February 06, 2018, 10:15:16 AM
Hi,

Well, that's interesting to see that some governments instead of trying to ruin bitcoin, are legalizing it. I think that for Indian bitcoinners it changes nothing but... Well, it's funny to see that whereas one of its members has spoken against bitcoin, the government is still able to acknowledge bitcoin as a legitimate currency.
1784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Valentine's Day affect BTC? on: February 06, 2018, 10:08:20 AM
Hi,

I would say that it won't.. Because indeed some real-life events affect bitcoin prices but generally speaking this is because they affect your everyday life.

Prices go up before Christmas because it is the end of the year, the period of bonus given by firms and people are buyng many things (amongst which, bitcoin, why not). Holidays (especially July, August) are affecting prices because in the middle of the year, people are budgeting... and tend to realize that actually, they need money. So they sell bitcoin and prices go down...

See, these are trends that can be observed and that are logical. Regarding Valentine's day, though, it is merely about buyng chocolate boxes. Wink
1785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep my BTC now? on: February 06, 2018, 09:53:01 AM
Hi,

First, of course you should not SELL bitcoin when the price is LOW. If your aim is to make money, then it would be completely dumb to sell when you are 100% sure you are losing money. (Unless you desperately need this money, in which case your initial investment was dumb).

Second, in fact one good strategy when the price is low is to BUY bitcoin. Because it is "cheaper" so potentially you will make a larger profit. Not necessarily though.

Third, many people are currently saying that bitcoin is dead, will never rise again and the apocalypse is here. Well for the apocalypse maybe, but regardng bitcoin I'm quite sure it's not dead. Still moving a lot for a dead body...

Four, regarding forks.. Well the investment can indeed be interesting (because you get something for free as you mention it) butit is highly depending on the overcome of the fork. So.. Actually, I wuldn't bet on that!

Five, please remember that bitcoin is not merely a trading tool! Wink
1786  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dream house and financial freedom on: February 05, 2018, 11:20:27 AM
Hi,

My dream is to build a company. Not necessarily something big, but I wuld like to create a business concept that can last.

So actually this dream s not directly linked with btc, but I hope that through crypto, business models are still quite open and people ready to invest... Even if it's only a small project (unlike banks)!
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARREN BUFFET says Bitcoin won't end well on: February 05, 2018, 11:10:28 AM
Hi,

Warren Buffet knows nothing about the future of crypto. Nobody knows. He is wealthy, ok, but this doesn't mean he has particularly good insights about btc.

You should not worry just because some celebrity has made a statement. Being famous doesn't mean being able to foresee the future!

Last, you are worried? Well, sorry to say so but investing in crypto is also being ready for the worst. Each time you nvest, imagine crypto could end tomorrow. That's the kind of spirit that will allow you to really deal wth cryptos..
1788  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes and crypto. on: February 01, 2018, 03:36:11 PM
Hi,

For the moment, I think the answer is clear. Governments are corrupted, public money goes in red tape...

So definitely, no. As long as we can avoid paying taxes on what we earn, let's avoid taxes!

BUT in a different world, in a perfect society.. It could be actually great to consider bitcoin as part of the income. It's actually quite normal, if you earn your life through bitcoin, to give part of it to society. Just because I believe that the State can play a role in providing necessities for everyone (schools, hospitals, etc). And what could be actually great, would be to develop a REAL direct democracy, n which everyone can vote for any decision. In such cases, I would be more than happy to pay taxes, even on bitcoin. Just because what would be provided with such money would be what people really need.

I know, this is kind of an utopia. Still Undecided
1789  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin, how far it can go! on: February 01, 2018, 03:25:00 PM
Hi,

There are two different things here:

1 -  The price is decreasing. And that's quite logical. First because it is still the begining of the year and that is what bitcoin prices do in January. Then, we have seen many announcement from several governments, trying to implement legislations preventng (or limiting) the use of bitcoin. Many people are worried, many others think that bitcoin is already dead.. Consequence: logically, the price descreases. Just wait a bit, you will see it rises back, as people buy bitcoin since the price is low.

2 - You are right, more and more governments are making statements, speaking about bitcoin. Mass media tend to talk about it whereas even only a year ago it was a shadow geeky thing. Now, everyone (well, a large part of the population) know about bitcoin. At least about the name and what it represents. Of course, many are sceptical BUT even though most people still don't show interest in it, the community is growing enough to worry government. Due to technical progresses, bitcoin has nothing to fear from the law which slow to implement and even slower to adapt to changes. However, the fact that regulation exists is great. It proves that bitcoin can be indeed a threat to central control. And that's great!

So yes, you are right, the situation is quite new. And it is quite a great news! Wink
1790  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies aren't anonymous anymore on: February 01, 2018, 03:19:29 PM
Hi,

You know you are over-reacting, right?

New legislaton in South Korea may change things for South Koren users. Though, they can still use bitcoin, they just need to add a VPN to their daily routine.
Then, your post.. Actually you are pretending that bitcoin is no longer anonymous but there is nothing to support such statement.

I understand that you can be fed up if you are leaving in South Korea, but admit it, legislation is still lagging far behind what technology allows. And if you are not directly concerned, then why do you panic? Seriously, there is nothing worrying, people get more and more involved and that's exactly why governments are bothered.

So actually, that's a great news about the potential power of bitcoin! Wink
1791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why China is always bad news for bitcoin? on: February 01, 2018, 02:02:30 PM
China.. is a big country. In size as well as in population. That's just a fact.

So quite logically, the community of bitcoinners there is quite large... Just because there are more people in the country than in many others. So, the community is large and each time the government makes an annoucement, of course, many people are directly affected by what has been decided.

Thus, you have this effect of "bad news" whenever there's a statement from the Chinese government.

Though, actually, what China does and says and so on, does not directly have impact on bitcoin. The impact exists only because some people (Chinese I guess but not only) start panic selling and buying when there is any statement from China.

So China is not a threat, just an indicator! Wink
1792  Economy / Speculation / Re: time to buy bitcoin on: February 01, 2018, 01:16:21 PM
Hi,

No one can grant you that for sure this is the right time. Still, trends, figures and statistics tend to "prove" that indeed, this is the right time! Wink

But remember, there is nothing granted and actually bitcoin is not merely a trading tool, okay?
1793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India to ban all cryptocurrencies - No need to panic though on: February 01, 2018, 01:10:58 PM
Hi,

So you are saying it changes nothing, right?

I agree with you, this is not a reason to start panic selling. Still, the news is quite interesting.

I read the articles and... Well, I am not sure that what they are planning to do is actually technically feasible. I truly don't know. I understand the concept behind it and the idea, but I don't see how they can think it will work. Internet is an open world, without any frontiers and... Well, even though you have a physical address, you can always manage to change it and go through another one, anywhere in the world!

So, of course the Indian government is planning to prevent such "cryptos" from spreading and to become too powerful. The idea is understandable. The means of action though...
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Is Banning Ads for Bitcoin and ICOs on: February 01, 2018, 10:40:22 AM
Hi,

Indeed, ad is banned... Pretendingly for users to be protected from scams and frauds.. I guess that Fb and its creators are proud to know a lot about their users.. If they start using anonymous system this knowledge will eb harder to get...

And maybe there are other explanations.

For ICOs indeed it can be a hard challenge to face... Because everyone goes on Fb so it is a wonderful source of ad! But just like Microsoft and other tech giants, Fb is reluctant towards disruptive changes that happen once they are settled!
1795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It seems like Mark Zuckerberg doesn't believe in Blockchain technology on: February 01, 2018, 09:50:13 AM
Hi,

It seems that Mark Z. has never made something to make society better. He acts quite selfishly and I guess ths won't change now that he is a billionnaire.

Is it really important? Do you stop believing in something just because someone you don't know said he doesn't believe in it?

What I mean here is that we need enhancement and support, indeed, to develop the community. Though, I don't think we need celebrity endorsement and thus... Well it doesn't matter if Bill Gates and Marky Marc don't believe in the blockchain or any technology related to cryptos. They have invented stuff, they won't necessarily be able to understand and forecast further changes.

We don't care about Zuckerberg! Wink
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it make any sense to buy Bitcoin now? on: January 31, 2018, 11:46:59 PM
Hi,

It always make sense to buy bitcoin. Just because bitcoin was not meant to be only a tradng tool.

On top of that, if your objective is to make profit... Well I guess that since the bitcoin price has already reached almost 20k before, it is probable it will again. So 10k is a good price!

So yeah, invest! Just keep in mind that nobody can grant you you will make profit, so invest what you can afford to lose! Wink
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The blockchain as a whole is also a step forward to Globalization, accept it? on: January 31, 2018, 12:50:01 PM
Hi,

Actually, I think it would be great. It would mean that we get rid of concepts such as "countries" and "frontiers" just because they wouldn't mean anything at all.

I guess it could be possible, with local "authorities" (board composed of people) to make decisions for local needs (schools, hospitals, etc) and otherwise... Well, we would be able to travel and make exchanges and transactions with anyone.

That would be great! Cheesy
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin wasn't created? on: January 31, 2018, 12:37:09 PM
Hi,

I think that if bitcoin hadn't been created... It would have been created anyway.

What matters here, is not the name in itself. It could be called "frogby", it changes nothing. So I guess that if the "bitcoin" (with such name and the characteristics we know) hadn't been created, another crypto would have taken its place of "founder". Just because what matters with the bitcoin is not the name but the idea behind it. And if you consider the society we are living in, I cannot imagine a dimension in which nobody wants to challenge financial authorities and traditional banking! Wink

So actually, if bitcoin hadn't been created, it would exist anyway. And the current crypto situation would be quite similar I guess!
1799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin like a Bubble ? on: January 31, 2018, 12:14:38 PM
Hi,

Actually, if you compare the trend curb of bitcoin with the curbs of other known bubbles... Similarities are quite striking!

So, yeah, if you consider the "economic model" bitcoin seems to be on the verge of a bursting bubble.

BUT the main difference here is that the bitcoin is not linked and has never been linked to anything tangible. The problem of classic economic bubble is when the value of something (tulips, houses) is no longer n line with what the "thing" sold is. Here... Well, bitcoin is 100% digital.

I am not saying it will not burst.  just say that theoretical models we already know may not apply here. Wink
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No future for bitcoin on: January 29, 2018, 10:50:39 AM
Hi,

You are saying "no future" when you think "better future"!

Maybe, indeed, we will see other crypto (or even other kinds of digital currencies) appear and perhaps overthrow bitcoin. But it will not make bitcoin disappear AND bitcoin will always remain as "the first". Then, a technologically more advanced future is great, you should not be so pessimistic! Wink

Last point: I sincerely think that... actually bitcoin will remain the "king" on its market for quite a long time... Just because it is not so easy to trigger off acknolewgement from a community as ours, with so many different people, having many diverse goals...
