I agree with HF here on the fact that both of them are on the same situation... Both missused tools and made mistakes that could have had an impact on national security. It's strange that you condemn only one of those two behaviours.

Saying Trump is an asshole that should be killed doesn't mean I don't think that Hilary should be killed too...

Have been away for lon and following HellFish advice I'm starting a selfmod thread. Feel free to say whatever you want as long as it's not trolling.

So why starting this thread? Because there is this sentence I hear and read a lot that always triggers me a bit. Right wing people mockingly saying that you have to be a complete retard to be a socialist and that the argument "it's not real communism" is stupid. This argument is just saying that USSR or whatever "communist" country failure isn't a proof of communism failure because... Well it wasn't real communism.

And this argument is... Perfectly valid though a bit short-sighted.

I dare anyone to give an example of a real communism state in our world, present or past. There are none.

There is this HUGE MISTAKE made by tons of people who believe that communism = no private property = everything belongs to the state. Which is a very brutal and stupid interpretation of communism manifest. Communism doesn't mean everything belongs to the state but everything is owned by the people. In particular for Marxists (which are the most common kind of communists) it's not that there should be no private property but that anything being used in the economy (the means of production) should belong to the workers using them. (Which means very VERY limited private property because depending on interpretation pretty much anything can be considered being part of the economy)

But let's simplify all this by saying that, in communism, the means of production are supposed to belong to the people.

The people.

Not the state, the people. That's where lies the "it's not real communism".

Because what are exactly countries like Venezuela or USSR or Cuba or North Korea? They're countries where state is all powerfull, meaning the leaders are all powerfull. What do you call such countries? Dictatorships. And it doesn't matter if the dictatorship calls itself communist or islamic or democratic or whatever. A dictatorship is just a dictatorship, a country where the people are oppressed by a very small group having the power. It's not communism at all! It's the opposite of communism.


So no it wasn't real communism. But why is it a short-sighted answer? Well because it seems that every time a country adopts communism it falls immediately into a dictatorship. So even if those countries aren't communist, if every country trying to adopt communism falls into dictatorship 2 days later... Well it means that even if there is a slight difference, communism leads to dictatorship.

And that's right. At least that WAS right. Communism means that the people own and control everything equally, but that wasn't possible, what was used was that people were represented by a government THEN this government controls everything (hence the dictatorship).

But maybe we have an alternative solution now. Maybe we can do things differently... What if we didn't use the government to control things? What if we did it ourselves directly? With our technologies we no longer have a use for representative politics. Direct democracy is completely possible.


So I can't say anything for sure of course, but it seems to me that we have new possibility. Applying the new technologies (including blockchains) to create a country where everything is directly controlled by the people, which would be real communism this time.

Hello everyone. I'm m0gliE and I'm an old member of the forum though i wasn't very active last months for various personnal reasons.

The fact is that 2 or 3 years ago I had the chance to be implied in tons of different projects (Yolodice, campaigns, gunbot, TheCoinDude...) and I fucking loved it. I had to abandon pretty much this community for a long time and coming back I have the feeling that there is... Less energy. Less innovation. Less projects.

I want to do what I can for the community. And what I know is how to perform management and marketing services cause that's what I do in real life. I'm not good at coding or on technical side, just an amateur, but give me a spreadsheet and an excel file and I'm king in the room.


So I propose my services as escrow or campaign manager (I created and managed the YoloDice campaign, they're still using my spreadsheet model ^^) for free.

Of course the goal is to promote new project and help new members, so I'll give those services for free for newcomers to help them launch. I can help you launch your campaign, not going to take already settled campaigns that have ran for 2 years for free xD

Concerning the escrow part that's the same, I'll be glad to help members for small transactions, not professional sellers. Or at least not for free

I've spent a quite long time in P&S cause that's what I love. But I've ran away and I don't think I'm the only one.

I know you talk about lengthy posts here, but I think it's a bit as talking about a last stage cancer and saying "ok we need to do something about your nosebleed". The nosebleed is a problem but that's definitely not the main problem, it's just a consequence.

Deleting posts CANT be a long term solution. Apart from the huge amount of work for you it justs doesn't affect the rats swarming this place.

I think everyone will agree on the fact that a few people are responsible for maybe 80% of this section pollution and that's why I left. Getting different opinions and sometimes... Bizarre personalities and theories is perfectly fine, especially on this section. For example I don't think there is even one thing in common between my opinions/vision of the world and the one of Spendulus. We disagree on pretty much everything and sometimes the arguments were a bit... hot but never utterly stupid or repetitive.

Problems come with people who are not here to discuss but to vomit their agenda. Do I have to give the names of BADEcker or popcorn1?

It's not a question of political agenda, it's just a question of keeping the debate open. It's not possible when you encounter 4 or 5 aggressive trasher at the same time. It just makes people trying to discuss go away. Though I don't have a solution...

Yeah it's very surprising! For the first time in 3 years I haven't bought btc at the end of October for personnal reasons and I'm quite happy I haven't! Previous years the end of the year was a time of rise for all coins and especially btc.

Your amount of btc will increase if you put your bets in BTC and the site pays back in BTC on a BTC base. But some sites allow you to pay bets inBTC but on a € base. Which means you pay in btc for a 20€ bet and if you win they give you 25€ in btc. Which means if price dropped you can have lost btc in the process...

Betting is betting and it doesn't matter that it is poker, casino or sport betting.

I won't talk about the moral aspect of this but the fact is that betting is something you go in and sometimes can't control. I've never bet huge amounts because i know i couldn't control myself. But even with "low" amounts I've seen myself playing them without any kind of reason or pleasure just because I HAD to click on that button in the hope of getting what I lsot back.
