1945  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Tigerdirect is now accepting bitcoin!!! on: February 26, 2014, 05:36:59 PM
So...because the first order was royally botched...I got lots of gift certificates because that is the only way you will get anything back after sending your
bitcoin to them if they don't send you products.

Second verse, same as the first.  Used my certs to buy another order, used bitcoin to pay the balance and get the 20.00 discount for paying with bitcoin.

Waited three days, and finally decided to contact support again after noticing "Not Shipped" was yet again the default for bitcoin purchases.

Had to contact support, reminded them they could look up transactions themselves on Blockchain.info and that they were quite incompetent to be accepting
a currency they cannot seem to process despite it being already in their bank as US Dollars.  Had to give them the transaction ID to the transaction they
requested I complete last saturday.

Noticed they overcharged me again in taxes (something you may want to check with every order, as it is getting me close to free shipping every time now, in the form of yet another gift certificate).

So, hopefully later today a manager will declare I have in fact paid and release my order...5 days after ordering.  I am unimpressed Tiger.

Sad. I guess you are just going to have to wait for newegg to accept bitcoin.
1946  Economy / Services / Re: [Need Help] Finding a Good Domain Name! 0.05 BTC Reward! on: February 26, 2014, 05:00:36 PM

Hi. How's it going? Did you choose a domain name yet?

I'm just going to wait a little bit longer. Then I will compile a list and let a friend choose.

Thanks for your quick answer (as usual). This is one of the main rules for success when you intend to work with clients daily. Hope your friend will have a lucky day (for you especially).

Successful endeavour!

Thank you! The project is mine, I just look to my friend for his opinion.

You know there is a bit coin crowd funder already out there.

I know. I plan on making mine unique...

Alarms are functional.

Whenever a faucet switches to "ready", you will receive an alert (if at least 5 minutes since the last alert).
The browsertab title of the website now contains the number of playable/available faucets (updated every minute).

Hope this helps you guys,

Starting on the next update, this one I am pretty sure everyone will love.

Great update! By alert, do you mean JS alert or google chrome desktop notification? You should add desktop notifications that replace JS alerts.

It is just JS right now, I was going to perfect this across all browsers, and add the ability for you to customize when you're alerted, before expanding. But since you asked for it specifically, I have no problems expanding my knowledge and implementing this.

Thanks!

Your Google Notifications has been added to the system. You can now also turn both the horn and Google notifiactions on/off via your account page which can be found at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Wow, thanks. I'm not really a faucet person, but since you customized it like I said, I'll go ong it once or twice. Thanks!

I don't use many myself any more either, but faucets played a big roll in getting me started. That is the reason this tool is so important to me. I still use a few of the daily and hourly ones. I think I may put the faucet earnings into a pool and start a few faucets of my own.

Good luck on that. The trick is to have a unique faucet that pays out a lot! Smiley

Is the beta for PD3 going to be closed or open, and if it's closed, who will be allowed in?

I think it will be open beta. Stunna also said on chat that he will maybe do BUG HUNT ! Cheesy That would be awesome !
A bug hunt would be pretty cool, I myself am a professional bug bounty hunter. I am uncontested in my bug hunting ability.

Will be an open beta most likely, we'll be offering bounties through crowd curity as well on this forum.
Awesome, keep us updated, I don't gamble much but I'm dying to see the new site.

What browsers/versions are supported with the new version of pd?
I hope it's HTML5 so major browsers would all have support

I don't think there is much need for html5 in here... There may be a few instances but html5shiv can make it available to even more than modern browsers.

Although this isn't the best way, its fast and can make you a lot of money; betting on dice sites like primedice can get you some money and there is a free faucet.

Stunna someone is paying 0.0005 per post 2.5 btc maximum per month.

Interesting, but we all know what usually happens when a new casino pops up offering more than Stunna.

What is happening to them? Smiley

I don't know Smiley
?

anyway this 0.0005BTC per post seems interesting ... we just need to wait to see is it legit...

I asked if he is willing to use escrow, and he just deleted my post. It is self moderated and its most likely a scam.

You need at least 50 activity!

Isn't he allowed to post in the meantime and count them towards when he does hit 50 activity?

No, any posts he makes before reaching 50 activity does NOT count. This will confuse Stunna.

Here's the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485708.msg5354999#msg5354999

I guess they went for 2.5 btc just to be able to say they are the highest paid signature... Tongue still, we'll see in a week's time if they are for real.

No guarantee he will pay out. It hasnt been a month yet.

n you be sure that it was PrimeDice that caused such alleged damage to your computer? There are many, many users who report no issues whatsoever.

Stunna isn't the scamming type, unless he's in for a long-con lol. But seriously, he pays out what people are due in a fair way. His advertising outgoings are pretty sizeable, so it is very unlikely that he would selectively scam people.

If I had malicious intents in the long term I would create an investment system, I've made it clear I have no interest in doing that. I have no doubt that thousands of coins would be invested if I had chosen to do that.

We've been working on finalizing PVP, we think everyone will enjoy it quite a bit.  Smiley

Will there be a house edge for pvp?

Probably going to go for 0% seeing as there is zero risk for us.

Alright. Will it run on PD, or will it run on a separate domain?

Will be built into PD3.

Cant wait! Is there a date when PD3 will launch?
