At the top Khwaja and Handscomb were a big tick for Australia and 263 is not a bad score so they should be happy and proud of this performance. India on the other hand must be feeling a little disappointed as they failed to wrap up Aussie's tail cheaply but it happens sometimes.

Now Indian top order needs to bat sensibly and must do the heavy lifting. Don't expect your tail to bail out every time, they can also have an off day at work.

I am getting into depression after watching Australian batters crushed mercilessly by the Indian bowlers. Honorable names on my list of bowlers in this match are Ravichandran Aswin, Sir Jadeja & Shami. I think the Australian team should humbly bow down and give the BGT to the Indian squad rather than going through such humiliation every day in every match.

KL Rahul is still batting. I think tomorrow he will play tomorrow to prove to Venkatesh Prasad that he is not a product of favoritism. If not then he should accept that he is and should resign as a Vice Captain like Chetan Sharma did as Chief Selector today. I am sure the team management would accept his resignation and then a new Chief selector would easily drop him in other upcoming series/tournaments regardless of him being a Captain of an IPL tea.

Bazball is at its fine display.

Regularly going with 5-6 runs per over clearly shows that now Poms have no interest in a traditional way of playing test cricket, where batters used to grind all day. One can argue that under previous leadership they lost so many matches that they don't trust their defense anymore and adopted an ODI approach in test cricket. At the same time no one can deny that it's very exciting to watch and under Baz-Ben's leadership, this method turned out to be very successful. Aussies will have a tough time in the upcoming Ashes.

I have never seen a test team being so aggressive. They were playing like it was an ODI match but still manager to score in 58 overs 325 runs. In my opinion, this is a good target. It won't be easy for the Kiwis to chase this target. Already they have lost 3 wickets which proves how good the English bowlers are bowling and psychologically they think the target is not that easy to chase. An excellent strategy by the coach and captain of the England team.
This is going to be another one-sided match it seems

Looks like Iyer is playing in the next text. This should give some support in the middle order.

He was supposed to be part of the playing 11 in the first test but unfortunately, due to an injury, SKY got an opportunity that he royally destroyed. I do not think SKY would get another chance in the test squad after this tournament.

England VS Newzealand

The first test match between these two teams has started. The match is being played in New Zealand and they are the favorite but looking at the past performance of the English side I do not think it will be an easy task for the Kiwis. New Zealand won the toss and choose to bowl first. At the moment England has lost one wicket but has already scored 115 runs. Ben Duckett has been very aggressive in this match. He has been scoring runs at an SR of 127%.

For the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, half of all the group stage matches have been completed. Bangladesh, New Zealand, West Indies and Ireland are the teams that are yet to score their first points. On the other hand, Australia, Sri Lanka, England and India are having 4-points each and have the maximum chances of qualifying to the next round. However in order to ensure guaranteed semi-final slot, these teams need one more win. Else, their qualification prospects will depend on the outcome of matches involving the other teams.

I am impressed with the performance of the Srilankan girls. I was surprised to see South Africa and Kiwis struggling in this tournament. Indian will be playing against England in the next match and Srilanka will be playing against Australia in their next. Two out of these four teams would be struggling to cement their position in the semifinals.

Srilanka VS Australia would take place today. Australia is the favorite in this match. England VS Indian match is scheduled on the 18th of this month. England is the favorite in that match.

This is a pitch for 2nd test.  Roll Eyes

Looks similar to the Nagpur pitch but here in Kotla things could be a bit slow as most of the time first 2 days are good to bat on and some assistance to fast bowlers.

I think I am saying this for the first time, In the bowling department India is too good. The problem lies in the batting order, especially the middle order which is basically in shambles. KL Rahul is another player who has shown that he is struggling to play both as an offensive and defensive batter. I am expecting Ishan Kishan to be part of the playing 11 and Bharat might get dropped. Bharat also failed to bat in the last match. Iyer is also fit so he will come and replace SKY.

India VS West Indies

After defeating Pakistan in their first match the Indian team will today play their second match in this T20WC against West Indies. The main concern at the moment is Indian bowling. Pakistan was able to score 149 runs against the weak Indian bowling attack. Although only two Pakistani batters played excellently the target was not easy for the Indian batters to chase. Smriti Mandana would be part of the playing 11 that will furthermore boost the Indian batting lineup. At the moment team India is ranked 2nd in their group and if they win today they might rank up in their group.

Surprised to see Srilankan girls playing very well in this T20WC. They are ranking 2nd in their group ahead of SA & NZ. England and Australia are looking good. They might be the ones playing in the finals of this world cup.

I guess this is what we will have to live with. But such kind of actions from the government will give rise to unlawful activities surely increase complications for both parties. Quite unfortunate but when we have a finance minister like Nirmala Sitharaman, I honestly did not expect much thought out process from the government. When the leader is incapable, this is what we have to face.
I won't blame it completely on the minister or the government. They do according to the information shared to them by the bureaucrats. Already we have seen a lot of venom has comeing out from the mouth of RBI head. These are the same people who are giving advice to the finance ministry. I am expecting more such laws getting rolled out after crypto regulation gets announced. I am hoping some news by April of this year. The best possible option after that would be either to leave this country or exit out of crypto.

BCCI prohibits WPL franchises from having any association with crypto businesses. Last year they had already banned crypto businesses from associating themselves with IPL. This was waiting to happen as I remember the kind of advertisement that was shown by Coinswitch Kuber & CoinDCX was simply illogical and lacked responsibility. Until a regulation comes out I think this ban will prevail.

LOL! RCB has hired Sania Mirza as the mentor for their women cricket team.  Huh

First, he got sacked because of the poor performance of the India team in the T20WC held last year. Then he was again got reinstated this year as the Chief Selector by BCCI. After reading about the sting operation I got baffled by what he has accidentally disclosed. Image of a lot every Indian player has been tarnished by this baboon.

A lot of nonsense came out of his mouth. This man was either high or he thinks himself as BCCI. The below meme is not mine but I found it relevant to this post as it clearly implies what he has done to himself in my opinion.

@pakhittheboss I doubt that this would be allowed for any Pakistan cricketer as BCCI would have rejected this, due to the political tensions between these two countries.

BCCI did allow Azhar Mahmood till 2015. I read it in the article itself. Quoting it below.
Quote
Pakistan's total absence from the WPL aligns with their male counterparts' absence from the IPL. Aside from the inaugural season in 2008, which took place during a brief political detente between India and Pakistan, no player representing Pakistan has taken part in the IPL. Azhar Mahmood played in 2012, 2013 and 2015, but by then he held a UK passport, and had registered himself for the league as a British citizen.

Now it might not be that easy to do what he did earlier. BTW, RCB on paper looks stronger than any other team in WPL. A lot of good talent was not bought in this auction. I am sure if the first season of WPL is a success then BCCI will increase the number of teams. Looking at the amount of money invested by the franchise in this league I am confident that WPL will be hit. Just waiting for the marketing & promotion to start.
1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 14, 2023, 09:18:16 AM
Isabelle Wong registered as an English player so no one can use any loophole.

While reading this article "Urooj Mumtaz: 'Extremely unfortunate to see Pakistan players missing out on WPL" I came to realize that Azhar Mahmood did the same thing for playing in the IPL in 2012, 2013 & 2015 like Isabelle Wong. If Pakistani women cricketers want to play in WPL next season then they should follow Azhar Mahmood's technique. He did have a British passport and registered himself as a British citizen.

If you compare the economic situation in Sri Lanka with that in Pakistan, you will admit that the Lankan are in a much worse situation. But that didn't prevented them from hosting the Lanka Premier League successfully a few months back. With the PCB, they already have an old and established league in the PSL. With the new revenue sharing model that was implemented last year by Rameez, if the tournament is conducted properly then the board can get a lot of revenues in the form of media rights and sponsorship. Flood and inflation will have an impact, but I am sure that they will get through.

The biggest difference between Pakistan & Srilanka in the current situation is that IMF has agreed on a bailout package for Srilanka and not with Pakistan. I would never say that Pakistan cannot organize another season of PSL. I would only say that this is not the right time. The worst is yet to come for Pakistan and you can blame it blatantly on the ruling class for the current situation. Rameez did good to for PCB but with Sethi as chairman, I do not think the revenue generated by PSL will go fairly to the board.

WPL Auction 2023

87 players sold for the first season of WPL for a whopping INR ₹59.50 Cr. Smriti Mandana is the most expensive of the lot. She was bought for  ₹3.40 Cr by RCB. Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 1.80 crore. Jemimah Rodrigues was bought for INR 2.2 Cr by Delhi Capitals. UP Warriorz bought Deepti Sharma for INR 2.6 Cr.

The top 3 expensive Indian players for the WPL auction are Smriti Mandana, Jemimah Rodrigues & Deepti Sharma. The top three International players in this year's WPL auction are Ashleigh Gardner, Nat Sciver-Brunt & Beth Mooney.

In my opinion, to start the amount of confidence shown by franchises is commendable. These girls never thought in their life that they will get so much amount of money for just playing cricket. WPL has opened the doors of immense earning opportunities for every girl playing cricket in India and abroad.

It seems the Indian government has vowed to destroy the crypto community here. First with 30% tax with no loss offset and now punitive actions. The crypto traders will be effectively discourage.

Personally I am actively considering going out of crypto market forever. I will probably withdraw my entire crypto assets to INR and pay whatever taxes needs to be paid. Honestly I don't need those extra tensions and nonsense from government agencies.
This was going to happen, it is only the beginning and a part of crypto regulation. By April of this year you will hear more. This is one of the reasons why a lot of middle and upper class has already left India and settled abroad.

The government will come up with more stringent regulations which will eventually choke the community. In democracy you don't ban but create an atmosphere similar to ban. A lot of illegal activities related to crypto will now rise. The government is only making things more complicated for themselves and everyone.

Man are you serious? ₹540 network fees? What is network fees here? Is it the Ethereum network fees or onramp money network fees? Also is it sort of flattish at around ₹500 or is at a percentage of total amount because no one would want ₹20000 going into network fees for doing like a ₹50000 transaction. Also does it requires any KYC thing or not?

The network fee remains the same if you make a purchase of INR 10k too. I think they are using the max fee limit for any transaction amount.

Did the same for 50k and found not much difference. The only difference here is that the processing fee increases.

I will still go for it as you are not required to pass KYC.

After watching the Indian women's team win against Pakistan yesterday. I remember how Pakistan lost to India in the T20 men's world cup. Till another match happens between these two teams, Pakistan would always remember two players for a long time. The first one is Virat Kohli and the second one is Jemimah Rodrigues. Both players single-handedly took away the match from Pakistan.

He's spot on with everything and the only sane voice in former cricketers, he's also against the star culture in Indian cricket and recently he applied for the selection committee but got rejected as he's not a Yes Man.

I do not understand why other veterans are afraid to speak the truth. Financially everyone is very stable considering the amount of money they get paid as pension after retirement. The board won't dare to stop their pension if they speak against those who are always in the mode of licking the ass or constantly support those players who are not performing. India does not have a talent crunch in cricket. Why not give opportunities to those players.

In my opinion the first step that BCCI needs to take is to remove him from vice captaincy and give that responsibility to someone deserving. If he is still not able to perform after that then he should be dropped.

The second test match will be played on 17th in Delhi. Indian has not lost any test match in Delhi for the last 36 years. I am hoping they continue to win this time too.
1999  Local / India / Re: Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023 on: February 12, 2023, 04:31:22 PM
Let's do some trading on BTC/INR market.

As we all know, Bisq is a p2p decentralized Bitcoin exchange that can only be used after downloading their open-source desktop software. You can only use it on the Windows operating system. They will be launching a new version of it on 20th March and are conducting an event known as Bisq Market Day.

Another reason for conducting this event is to create more liquidity on bisq. As they provide multiple payment options for users in India. I was hoping that as a community on Bitcointalk India can create some buzz on the BTC/INR pair. KYC is not required on Bisq!

Payment option available on Bisq.

  • NEFT
  • RTGS
  • PAYTM
  • IMPS
  • UPI

What do you guys think? I think it is a great opportunity for everyone who has been struggling with crypto tax.
That is an incredible news but what about INR transaction which are done by a seller are not something to worry about. What I meant is that if I sell my Bitcoin using the BTC/INR pair and then ask the amount to be credited using UPI or any other method, can you guarantee that the INR received won't get me into trouble as KYC is not done on Bisq.

I mean it can come from an illicit or illegal source. That account may not be in the radar for now but might be part of some conspiracy in the future.

INDIAN WOMEN WON!

The second highest run chase by any team in T20 women format and the best highest run chase by team Indiain women cricket.

I have no words on how Ghosh & Rodrigues steer the Indian team to win against Pakistan. At one point the pressure was so high after losing the wicket of the Captain but, these two batters made this win possible.

What a finish and what a game to enjoy. Pakistani spin attack is good but they need to work on the pace attack.
