21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the real value of bitcoin today? on: April 23, 2022, 08:53:23 PM
I think that the real value of bitcoin is the current one. I mean that the true value of bitcoin we give it every day depending on the circumstances.
The first quarter of the year has come to an end, a complicated quarter worldwide. Reason for which both bitcoin and large industries have had instability in their prices.
As is known, there is a high risk of investment that stops the feeling of buying, at present the energy items are on the priority list to be able to satisfy the demand of the current crisis.
For those of us who love to invest in bitcoin, we do it despite the moment because it already forms our lifestyle.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. links North Korean hacker group to $600 million crypto theft on: April 23, 2022, 08:25:15 PM
The FBI is using sophisticated techniques to track down the stolen money. No matter how difficult it is. Criminals always leave traces, There is no perfect crime.

The United States Department of Justice has shown that despite the complexity of cyber fraud with cryptocurrencies, it is a labyrinth that they can solve.

More on the recovery of stolen money from Axie Infinity.

Today CZ in a Tweet said:

The DPRK hacking group started to move their Axie Infinity stolen funds today. Part of it made to Binance, spread across over 86 accounts. $5.8M has been recovered. We have done this many times for other projects in the past too. Stay #SAFU.

23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance is key on: April 23, 2022, 06:44:33 PM
I've had a look at Coingecko. But until November 2021 bitcoin had a dominance of 40%.
As of today 04/23/22 bitcoin has a dominance of 38.7% according to coingecko.
It is good to examine this statistic makes us see the history, present and imagine the future.
I want everyone to own bitcoin, I wouldn't want bitcoin dominance to go down even more.
Something tells me that it is unfavorable for bitcoin, as a curious fact, 41.29% represent other altcoins and are not ETH, LTC, NEO, EOS to mention a few.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive income : Bank interest vs staking on: April 23, 2022, 03:36:37 PM
Sometimes we lose and other times we win. I remember having made my first staking with two tokens frm and nexo.
After a year, when I unlock the Staking, I can see my benefits.
I won a high ROI in FRM for being a token that was barely growing up in the market.
However, even though the token nexo has an impressive marketing machinery, the benefits I got were low.
After that experience, I never saw banks as a better place for my savings.
Investing in Crypto is risky, it is worth taking into account not put all the eggs in a basket.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 22, 2022, 11:35:12 PM
Since we know the advantages of investing in bitcoin or any crypto and now NFTs. Thinking of investing in gold or silver is unlikely.
But the people who do not use bitcoin in their investments, what are they investing in?
Although there is a lot of information about bitcoin and the entire crypto market, people lack information on how to invest in crypto, they prefer to have money in hand.
I share an experience from my region. I live in a state where gold is exploited but people only care about selling their gold for US dollars.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 22, 2022, 10:53:12 PM
If I wanted to start a small business I would like to earn a 30% ROI at the start of operations. I would like a fast food business, these are my ideas, but making it a reality implies good planning to achieve ROI.
I would also have to deal with inflation and market conditions.
But if we take a look at the opinions of the experts we realize that our expectations are a little different.

Quote
According to conventional wisdom, an annual ROI of approximately 7% or greater is considered a good ROI for an investment in stocks. This is also about the average annual return of the S&P 500, accounting for inflation. Because this is an average, some years your return may be higher; some years they may be lower. But overall, performance will smooth out to around this amount.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay for coffee with Bitcoin on: April 21, 2022, 11:00:02 PM
I believe that currently Nigerians cannot buy bitcoin with their local currency. So Nigerians who want to trade their bitcoin find it necessary to generate their bitcoin income. They undertake their businesses so as not to lose the freedom that bitcoin gives them.
Seeing it from this point of view, if it is not prohibited by its rulers, there will be more entrepreneurship accepting bitcoin as a means of payment.
Good luck Nigerians, you have shown strength in pursuit of cherished freedom.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 21, 2022, 10:36:02 PM
When you see the price increases in the items of goods and services that you consume in your daily life it is like an escalation, they all increase at the same time.
Yesterday I received the news that the monthly payment of my nephew's high school increased by 50%, there is also an increase in the telephone service, later I will see the increase in the funeral service because I have not yet been to their offices.
In my country last month pension payments increased and perhaps it was the reason for the commerce sector to increase in escalation.
Inflation will always be with us, seeing it this way I maintain my conviction to continue investing in bitcoin to counteract the effects of inflation.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There too much information about btc on: April 21, 2022, 09:43:11 PM
As you well say, there is a lot of information about bitcoin and misinformation as well.
Just as society is grouped through common affinities, so is bitcoin.
We agree that education leads to the knowledge of the masses, therefore we can all do our bit so that people learn about bitcoin in order to gain a step further towards more adoption.
It is convenient for governments to keep us submissive to the system but while we learn about the power of decentralization we can achieve freedom.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, a possible replacement for credit cards on: April 16, 2022, 11:02:42 PM
As we are evolving as OP very well describes. Bitcoin will be more preferred, it only remains to establish the best conditions for the majority to start using bitcoin.
In reference to the waiting time in a bitcoin transaction.
There are several solutions:
- Lightning Network.
- The current Dapps on the market and those to come because they all seek faster and lower cost transactions.
Bitcoin is the best option because it breaks the barrier of centralization and is the most convenient.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to have the same effect on alts? on: April 16, 2022, 10:37:34 PM
If we pay attention to the bitcoin btc/... pairs on the exchange it stands to reason that the price of altcoins will also fall if the price of btc falls.
Many times we complain when we find ourselves in that situation, but when we make a profit when the price of bitcoin rises, we are more reserved.
When the price of bitcoin falls, it is a good time to buy either bitcoin or the altcoin of our choice.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Viable Altcoin for the moment on: April 16, 2022, 10:08:59 PM
I prefer to focus on the top 10 coins in the crypto market.
If someone asked me to pick three altcoins.
I would choose:
1. BNB because it is the exchange platform token where I get my FIAT and I can also buy crypto with my local currency.
2. AVAX can make very fast and low cost transactions and the advantages that I can invest in various DeFi projects in its ecosystem.
3. LUNA has risen comfortably to the top 10 due to the development and support of investors. Now that the TERRA Foundation has purchased 39,897 btc and with the goal of buying more until reaching 10 billion dollars for its reserves.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc hodlers vs short time traders on: April 16, 2022, 07:22:36 PM
Both are good options to invest in bitcoin. If you are clear about the destination of your investment. There are those who invest in altcoins, get their profits and invest more in bitcoin. In most cases bitcoin investors see it as a reserve asset. Bitcoin is also the favorite of recognized investors who seek to support their best investments.
34  Other / Archival / Re: MetaMask makes friends with Bitcoin on: April 15, 2022, 03:29:39 PM
This is good news given the user demand for Metamask.
Web3 is closer to our daily needs, often to learn about a new product it is necessary to connect with a Wallet and there is MetaMask to be able to interact.
Of course everything will depend on the network that supports the site.
I am also a MetaMask user and interact with several networks for its comfort, security and versatility.
Now with bitcoin I would have to study very well how it works and test it.
This development indicates that bitcoin will be used more frequently in these times to come.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Charity Work on: April 14, 2022, 10:47:46 PM
This is an inspiring activity by OP to donate his bitcoin knowledge.
I think that it is the best way to teach people for the first time to buy bitcoin because they can do it in a safe and reliable way.
People can watch videos on YouTube or read an article on the Internet but if they are not sure they will make mistakes.
Sometimes people are skeptical when it comes to money for fear of losing their capital and they do not dare to experiment with having digital money, so to speak, when they only know the money that can be had in their physical wallets.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to have the same effect on alts? on: April 14, 2022, 10:35:07 PM
When people compare bitcoin and altcoins. They don't really realize what they want.
Bitcoin is the main asset in the crypto market and is an irreplaceable leader.
The altcois took on the task of creating new spaces to diversify our investments such as: NFT, GameFi, DeFi, exchanges and more services to satisfy the demand that the banks did not give us.
But in the end bitcoin will continue to lead the market because it is the most trusted asset because it is seen as digital gold.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 14, 2022, 09:43:00 PM
I had plans for this year to spread more about bitcoin. But I have it on pause because my circle of friends have little purchasing power, I live in a country with inflation and if I mention bitcoin right now that there is a lot of volatility, my power of persuasion will not be successful.
Only if I reach people who want to invest in the long term are the best options.
But I strongly agree with OP that we need to share with our friends about bitcoin.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buy my home with bitcoin on: April 14, 2022, 09:18:48 PM
Selling a house with bitcoin can be an odyssey. Because it is not very common that we see this type of business but you have to try.
Before giving my opinion, I took a look on the internet to see related websites and I found some.
Of which I chose cryptorealestate the site looks trustworthy, user friendly and with many offers of beautiful properties in various parts of the world.
It is a business model that we will see in the future more frequently now that bitcoin is more usable.

39  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New York imposes a permit for Crypto companies on: April 12, 2022, 10:39:07 PM
According to this statement, it is possible that the access of companies in New York that wish to operate with crypto will improve, this should be faster and less expensive and thus the government will allow the growth of crypto companies in the state.

Quote
The regulator is responsible for issuing BitLicense to crypto firms looking to operate in the state.

A Faqs about BitLicense clarifies the doubts but the reality is different there are very few companies that achieve the BitLicense.

40  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria Economy before and Now after cryptocurrency Ban. on: April 09, 2022, 10:31:28 PM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies came to Nigerians as a lifeline, which is why they will not get rid of them for more prohibitions made by the government.

On the other hand, the Nigerian government attempts to introduce the eNaira to serve its population without a bank and provide them with tools to boost the economy. As long as corruption levels do not decrease, economic growth is unlikely. In addition to stopping the violence in the creation of plans to make the nation safer.

The prestigious firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) did a study and revealed the following:

Quote
Akpata stated that “the results of the study show that corruption in Nigeria could cost up to 37% of Gross Domestic Products (GDP) by 2030 if it’s not dealt with immediately. This cost is equated to around $1,000 per person in 2014 and nearly $2,000 per person by 2030. The boost in average income that we estimate, given the current per capita income, can significantly improve the lives of many in Nigeria”.
