There's 0.01313254 in the pot so I will just split it down the middle 50/50 so 0.006 each to the winner of the bracket and the predictor. Or possibly, make it 0.005 each and whatever's left in the pot after fees goes to the winner of the EURO predictor which will be less than 0.00313254. If any one can manage to get a sponsor or maybe even just some free bets we can give those to one or two of the runner ups.

They aren't allowed at all since he's promoting mixers. I deleted them.
I meant the topic title.

I don't know. I guess theymos will have to clarify if scam accusations are allowed on them if he hasn't already.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinTalk's UEFA Euro 2024 Predictor pool discussion thread on: June 17, 2024, 05:39:27 PM
hilariousandco are we counting both Superbru and UEFA website for our predictions?
I joined both of them and I see we have 20 players in Superbru and 19 in UEFA website.

The UEFA bracket and superbru one. I was hoping everyone could join the EURO predictor in time but some people couldn't.

Not sure why, but I can see just 10 names on Superbru pool, instead of 20. Maybe somehow I joined wrong pool or something? And yeah, feeling confused which site we're actually using.
There are 20 people joined in Superbru pool.

You're in the wrong one. That's the reanimated one from last time. I will delete it.

I do not think we should post the pool link publicly since it is a private pool. Anyone can copy it off from here and join giving hilarious the task of weeding out those players.
Dont be foolish please.  Roll Eyes
Pools are not secret or hidden, you can find them all in list of the pools and OP can remove any players he want to remove.
And it would be very stupid for anyone to join pool when he cant win anything without payment of entry fee and approval.

This one shouldn't be public. You can choose to set it to public or private. There was one year when there were a few people who found it somehow and tried to join and it's a headache to keep removing them as you're kinda auto-enrolled if you join via the link so please don't share the link with anyone who isn't playing.
24  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: June 17, 2024, 05:26:05 PM
Using link-shorteners or other obfuscation techniques in order to post URLs which would otherwise be wordfiltered is not allowed.
Is obfuscating links allowed in a scam accusation?

They aren't allowed at all since he's promoting mixers. I deleted them.

I joined both pools, I alreadfy play on UEFA website anyway and I used their Champions league predictor. Still, I prefer Superbru over UEFA because I tend to forget to make predictions there. And don't really want to use too many websites for different pools. We already had Superbru and Kicktip and now UEFA. And probably not the best idea to announce such thing on day when tournament begins.
BTW, do we have discussion topic for EURO or we going to use signup thread for it?

Oh, I'm at work and decided to check what can be discussed in an outdated topic and then I see information about the announcement. 20 minutes before the start of the competition. I already participate in two pools and one fantasy, and I would also take part in this competition, but unfortunately I do not have the opportunity to register and get guaranteed points from Germany, and I don’t want to start playing with a negative handicap.

I know it was very short notice but we can just either disregard the points from the first game or just give those that missed it an extra 3 points or something since everyone chose - and likely would have chosen - Germany. I'd like to use the uefa one if we can get everyone on board as it makes a change from the boring Superbru one and we'll be back to using that for the PL soon enough.

Discussion thread is now live: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5499975.msg64214996#msg64214996

I think you also send everyone personal message in forum and this two things should be enough.
If some of the players miss the first match this wont be anything tragic as they can catch up later.
And it is not to late to get new sponsor for this pool Smiley

If anyone misses the first game I can just disregard those points from the total at the end.

If you know anyone who will sponsor it please let me know. Even just some free bets as a prize would be great.

Also don't forget to join the EURO predictor pool: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5498708.new#new

First game kicks off tonight.
Joined both competition and I sent my predictions for the first round.
I like UEFA Euro predictor better than Superbru, it has 2x booster and option of selecting first team and first player to score.
It takes more time to send predictions but predicting correct goal scorer can get you 8 points and change everything.
Good luck everyone and let the show begin.

I do as well. Quite bored of Superbru and this one seems more exciting. I only hope we can get everyone joined on there in time. If some people miss the first game we can just disregard the points from that one.

hilariousandco do we need to send anything to you after making predictions on UEFA website and share predictions?

I recommend tagging everyone who joined this pool so far, so they can get telegram notifications.

Nope just the bracket and join the the group via the link or code.

If anyone wants to play there's still time. Just make sure your picks are in on Superbru and do the bracket challenge on the UEFA site: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/eurotournamentbracket

I'll allow a few days extra to pay but maybe up to a week max.

Edit. Oh I've just seen that UEFA also have done their own predictor: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/europredictor

It's a little bit different than Superbru where you get extra points for picking first team to score and player etc which could make it a lot more interesting. We did it this way for one of the last tournaments. Should we use this one? Might be a bit late but we could disregard the first game if not everyone makes it. I'm gonna message everyone to try get them to put their picks in on that. UEFA are offering some of their own prizes as well so it's worth doing anyway: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/europredictor/prizes-landing

34  Other / Meta / Re: Why are mod not locking long threads on the gambling board discussion anymore on: June 13, 2024, 01:57:55 PM
This isn't a rule. Threads are usually locked if they're reported and a mod deems them as run their course.

It seems that some members think that things on this forum take care of themselves, that is, that the moderators patrol the forum and delete posts, move/lock topics and ban bad users. If today we have less than 2000 reports per month, and a few years ago we had record months with almost 50 000 reports, then it is a little clearer why it seems to some that the moderators are not doing their job.

I think most mods will handle something if they come across it but staff only get paid for reports (with some other unknown factors involved) so if there's less reports coming in then spam is more likely to stay unless it gets reported. I barely browse the forum at all these days and tend to just stick to reports and the threads I frequent in my watch-list and I suppose that's probably true for many other mods. I think there should be some benefit for users reporting like badges that come with some special privileges etc as it's a thankless task and it's very rare we add new mods based on their reporting so that's another lack of incentive. Maybe we could even give some small BTC prizes to some of the most active reporters etc.

What I knew about gambling discussion board before was that if a thread is going more than 5 pages already, moderator will lock the thread. It was kind of fun at the time.

This isn't a rule. Threads are usually locked if they're reported and a mod deems them as run their course.

Damn, my BTC transaction is still pending. Placed it few days ago already. Who could have though that tx fees spike this high right after I place my transaction.

Deadline is on Friday, right before the first match right?

As long as it confirms at some point then that's OK. I can give people a little extra time to pay as usual but given the tournament is only a month long it can't be too long. For those wanting to play just make sure your scores are on on Superbru and picks made on the bracket challenge and they will transfer over to the pool once you join.

We dont have a sponsor for this Euros? Also does anyone know what will be the prize(not exact needed).and how many members we have so far?

You can just divide the pot by the entry fee to get the number of participants. There are currently 12 so far. As with all pools I can't really give prizes until we know how many people are playing.
