21  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Hodling gets easy over the years, but it's still hard. on: May 23, 2022, 09:20:54 AM
It's a lot easier now that it's digital gold or whatever. I just never, ever sell on an exchange. I use bitcoin for spending any time I can. I figure I'll eventually whittle my stack down to zero and I'm totally okay with that.

It’s been a while I’ve felt like this, feels bad, disgusting but nothing new. I am faking 30 years old, when you get 30 and until you get there life is not going to get better, you are going to feel and get to know a lot of bad shit, meet a lot of shit people and get more and more disappointed in what the world is like.

I once knew a guy that dated strippers and then complained that all of his girlfriends were thieving, lying, cheating whores. What did he expect? Intelligent, honest, good people do exist, but you're probably not associating with the right people or in the right place. The world can be a great place once you get out of our dirty, consumerism-obsessed cities.

How it's possible hack in your metamask wallet without access permission?

But I'm sure that if you are any phishing site connected to your. please check your address connected where any phishing site.
I think the thread should be locked by now because the op was not active.
Members are making comments but of no use. But one thing I have learnt from other people mistake is not to keep all the eggs in one basket.
In a discussion more than just the original poster benefit. Everyone involved learns a little bit and threads like this are indexed by Google for the next guy.

I don't see a huge issue with keeping 98 ETH in a hot wallet though. It's all about what kind of security you're looking for. Hardware wallets have good digital security, but horrible physical security. See how long it takes for you to be forced to open your hardware wallet by criminals in a large portion of the world.
26  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Binance.us allow you to P2P in other countries? on: May 23, 2022, 08:49:12 AM
I looked all over and don't even see P2P on binance.us. Makes sense since the US is the only country with such heavy P2P regulation.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who’s itching to buy? on: May 22, 2022, 12:50:58 PM
I'm not ready to buy more BTC yet, but I've been stacking some Coinbase shares. It's partly a bet on USDC as they own 50% of it. You know how USDC makes money? Interest. Rising interest rates are a good time to be in the stablecoin business.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The average joe would never accept bitcoin as means of payment due to tx fees on: May 22, 2022, 12:40:00 PM
For small transactions you may be right, but it's used internationally more than you might think. There's a disappointingly small amount of development in regards to making bitcoin easier and faster to use for everyday transactions.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When did the word "crypto" become so popular? on: May 22, 2022, 12:36:59 PM
I guess after Bitcoin reached its first ATH in 2017, some mainstream Media started referring to ALTs like XRP and ETH by the abbreviation of crypto. I started hearing crypto from that time, though I may be wrong this is my opinion.

Plus it is easy to write crypto than cryptocurrency and also it is easy to pronounce.
I have come to the conclusion that the term "crypto" came about because people wanted to use a more attractive name than "altcoins." The maxi in me will continue calling all "cryptos" altcoins! I will call coins I respect by their actual name, but as a group they're always altcoins.
30  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Best platform to buy crypto on: May 22, 2022, 12:32:39 PM
I really like Agoradesk for buying and cashing out. It's what LocalBitcoins used to be.

For strategic trading I recommend FTX. Buy 25 FTT (like $700) and you'll have 0 maker fees.
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think betting on Games/Events/Competition is evil on: May 22, 2022, 12:24:23 PM
Of course not. It's almost impossible to win due to the vig, though. When you take a bet or trade with high fees you are essentially paying for your opinion. Personally, I would rather spend my money on cars, food, vacations, etc. than opinions, but to each his own.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 24, 2022, 11:40:54 AM
Muh Hedge against inflation

Actually, if you count the inflation from 2017-2022, you'll realize that BTC at the current price is almost close to the $20k ATH of 2017

Dogshit fartcoin with the worst performance of almost all cryptos and stocks if you hodled it since December 2017 (you know, 4yr+ ago)

Vast majority of holders didn't buy during the very short period where bitcoin was 20K. The maximum stable price was 10K or so. Bitcoin spent virtually the entirety of 2021 above 30K.

We are able to facilitate the Escrow service in-house

That's not an escrow.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the lowest price of bitcoin from June to December 2021 on: July 20, 2021, 10:35:46 AM
Low transaction fees and low transaction volumes are a very bearish signal. Now that the world is done destroying itself and the government is no longer murdering people for going outside, people realize they would rather have an actual mansion than a mansion in Decentraland. This "crypto" bull run was made possible by endless money printing and people that had nothing better to do. With both of these factors becoming milder, a retracement back to $10,000 is inevitable.
35  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange won't release bitcoins unless I verify identity. Advice appreciated. on: July 20, 2021, 09:36:12 AM
You better read the terms before you register and sign up for any website or exchange, because Paxful had mandatory kyc for some time as far as I know.
There is no lawyer in planet earth who can help you with this so don't waste your time on this, because you signed a deal and accepted the terms when you registered, and you need to pass verification to use their service and withdraw coins.

Read:
https://paxful.com/aml-policy
https://paxful.com/terms-of-service

That's BS, you could absolutely get your coins back with the help of a lawyer when dealing with a company operating legally. Terms of service are not perfectly binding and don't give them a right to steal money. However, Paxful is a criminal enterprise run by a guy with a brain so fried up from drugs that he doesn't see the hole he is digging for himself, so don't expect them to even respond to your lawyer. He's probably looking at $10K+ in legal expenses to get anywhere.
36  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange won't release bitcoins unless I verify identity. Advice appreciated. on: July 20, 2021, 06:24:44 AM
Paxful is a scam website at this point. It's only a matter of time before they either go offline completely or the owners are arrested. Google around and you'll find dozens of reports of people with coins (often $10K-$100K+) locked (stolen by the drug addict owner) there indefinitely for no reason at all. Dozens of reports = hundreds of actual incidents. A lawyer will eat up most of your $1,000.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 20, 2021, 06:20:02 AM
With 1 sat/byte transaction fees it's pretty obvious where this is going. Does anyone have a good chart comparing transaction fees to price movement?
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rise of the Altcoins! on: March 26, 2021, 09:32:06 PM
I disagree 100% with the OP, and with any speculation that Bitcoin is going to reach some ridiculous number like $50,000 each or something like that.

I think the vast array of altcoins coming out (practically daily now) is taking away from the value of all other coins.

Think of digital currencies like an economic industry, like automobiles or clothing or kitchen appliances.  Right now, the "digital currency" industry is worth about $8billion USD.  This number is not climbing steadily along with all the additional coins coming out, this value is remaining relatively static and is simply being distributed amongst all the digital currencies.

ALL COIN TRADING PATHS LEAD TO BITCOIN.  When a new coin comes out, it simply subtracts from the value of Bitcoin, because Bitcoin must be used to invest in that currency, or to convert it to $USD.  New currencies are not adding wealth to the digital coin industry, they are simply providing more places to move it around.

Something major is going to have to happen before this can change, I'm not sure what it is.  Maybe BTC needs to show up on the NYSE or NASDAQ so normal Joe's can invest in it instead of it being some "dark an mysterious" hacker-currency like the media has made it out to be.  Maybe some major retailers like Amazon need to start accepting it so it gets more public exposure.

As far as Bitcoin reaching $50,000 or some ridiculous number like that, this is simply nonsense.  Again, think of digital currency like any other economic industry.  With BTC at $50,000 that would make this industry worth well over half a TRILLION dollars - sorry but I just don't see that happening.  That's as large as the entire U.S. auto industry.
You're telling me bitcoin can't be worth half as much as the US auto industry? You've got to be kidding me. If bitcoin actually catches on, and I mean really catches on, bitcoin would go well over $50,000.

Of course, it's just as likely bitcoin will be nearly worthless years from now.

Was going through my old posts and found this discussion. The funny thing is people were always saying this about Bitcoin, yet nobody listened until now.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: March 26, 2021, 09:27:03 PM
At least few more months, then prices will fall. Better to liquidate the winnings before it is too late. Long story short: Don't get rekt, sell all asap.

Good news comes to Bitcoin one after another. Look at hedge funds that have been buying bitcoin over the years. The banks that accept Bitcoin and the latest cryptocurrency, Tesla, accept payments in Bitcoin.
I have confidence this bull run will last until the end of 2021. There are still many TOP altcoins that haven't passed their ATH yet so we can hope until they pass ATH for the bull run to the end.

Bull run for year? haven't witness that in my 5 years of stay in crypto, usually bull run does not even last for 6 months, it's just a short lived so we have to take it as an opportunity to sell our assets for instant profit, and try to accumulate once the correction starts or the bear market takes place.
I doubt the current bull market will continue for more than 2 months, correction has started to cause falling charts. The new market cycle will begin after August, IMHO.
It's tough because of the tax consequences of selling. Are you so sure that it will go down that it's worth handing over a large portion of your money to make that bet? Taxes create an incentive to hold investments for long periods of time. I find any external force that interferes with the free market to be problematic and is likely a contributing factor to the bubble cycle that a lot of assets experience.

Decentraland has been really blowing up lately. Reminded me of the old Huntercoin. Is the game even still active?
