Projected price target using Chaotic Attractor Model. Price will verify with possibility > 80% above $2550.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: May 24, 2017, 12:30:44 PM
Will this be mineable or will it have an ICO. If it's going to have ICO is there any ETA on it?
Read something on Twitter about Dan's prior projects (Steemit, Bitshares) being scams?

Any truth to this?
Bitshares is curently in the top 20 on coinmarketcap. I doubt a scam coin would get so far and hold.

I saw that as well.

I was just wondering why someone would mention it as scam on Twitter, and thought maybe someone here had an explanation

So what's your opinion on EOS?
And should I get some Bitshares for the ICO then?

People talk all the time; some insiders though may know better Wink. If you watched the consensus presentation, there are some pretty serious people backing up this project.
PS:
Wait for about a month for the token to be announced. There won't be any ICO afaik.

Whatever these people do, I'm going all in.
Nuff said. Wink

Unfortunately not everyone understands your mental and intellectual level my friend. You don't belong there with them but IMO, it's their loss. If the have problems to solve, they are now a brain shorter. Let them figure it out all by themselves.

Cheers and I'm sorry I misinformed you about the ban tactics.

I'm not sure what Greek authorities would require for this. So far as I know we don't have any kind of official document for this, but if you contact support we could probably write something up for you. Of course the assets would only be "known" under Kraken's KYC after you transfer them to us.

Thanks Dargo.
26  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: January 27, 2017, 08:54:57 PM
He needs to prove that his coins have already been subject to aml/kyc.
Which they have, because Kraken does aml/kyc.
He just needs to prove it, and to do so he needs documentation from Kraken.
That's why he asks, "Is Kraken able to provide an AML/KYC information sheet?"
Macsga is Greek, and must prove his coins are known under kyc/aml, not hidden.
He explained that.  He's not asking you what he needs under tax law, he's telling you exactly what he needs and wants to know that you can provide it.

Thanks for clarifying this Millionero, that's exactly what I'm asking. We're bound to several awkward regulations afaic tax here in Greece the last 8y with the last one being to "Reveal hidden wealth". That includes silver/gold coins, paintings, horses(!) etc. So I really wonder If I sell 2-3 coins at Kraken and then transfer the money to my bank account, if it'll backfire at me. If so, I really don't want to do it. Undecided

@Dargo: Excuse my ignorance here, or if this is already been addressed and answered before. Is Kraken able to provide an AML/KYC information sheet when a user is selling his mined BTC/Altcoins and withdraws the equivalent money to his bank account? ie: say I mined 8 BTCs all these years and I want to cash out some of those. In Germany there's a legislation that BTC is considered "Private Money" with a specific direction that "if you hold your coins for more than a year, then you're not obliged to pay tax", but in other countries say (ie: in Greece) there's a directive that this is "hidden wealth" and you might get a fine if you don't provide an AML/KYC.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

I don't think we're anywhere near the return from the trustee. The investigation is ongoing (according to the latest announcement) and what bothers me more is  that M.Karpeles is out of jail (that means he was not the man that the Japanese justice thought he was). Regardless of this, the evaluation still stands according to the list that the Trustee has published a few months ago. The idea is to maintain a certain amount (even though BTC will be doubled price wise) in order to have something stable to talk about.

For what is worth, I don't think that there will be a revaluation unless we have news about the missing 600k coins... Which i seriously doubt it.

What a wonderful and inspiring message there. Smiley

My guess is that we will probably see a reduction of what's expected in terms of both USD and BTC when (rather IF) this is over. Coinlab will probably come into an agreement with the trustee provided we're heading for 3rd Bitcoin Bubble (at current prices the BTC-to-JPY estimations are way off anyway).

incredible how much damage one fucker can do.

Only damage he did was get his name on some report that the SEC used to extend the date of the rule change in order to facilitate yet another of the 100s of ways to get bitcoins. Which they would have done anyway.

I can still get paid and live on bitcoins. Bitcoin user not affected.

Agree. He's of no significance to the SEC or their decision. Cases like this are long and take a lot of legal effort in order to get to a fulfillment point. In other news, what I fail to comply with is the fact that Stolfi after all those years he spent around with us he had 2 major disasters:

1. He STILL fails to "get" it
2. He never bought while it was low but kept being in denial up until now.

SFYL...

(Yes, I'm back... kinda)

Guys, we're walking this path together for nearly a year with Klee. I've been contributing with some ideas and a stochastic model based on a theory of mine. Since he runs the show, and I'm only contributing, this is something I wanted to do quite a while ago, but his consent was required. This group is VIP only now. The lucky few will have benefits that the rest of the world will know by next November. Since there's an NDA agreement, this is as much as I can tell.

PS:
For a selective few, there can be an exception. But you've got to meet some standards that no newbie member and/or non whale account will fulfil. Don't beg, it doesn't work this way any more. Sorry.

MK is not Satoshi. Those who pay attention already know the answer to the riddle "who SN is". It's all in the web (DrApricot posted a relative link above), but for various reasons people chose not to acknowledge. FYI, Japan probably has the most strict policy against fraudulent behavior and the highest conviction rates. Letting MK walk may well prove his incompetence and certainly rules out his participation in confiscating the funds.

Only one thing is certain. This story is not over yet.  Roll Eyes

Investing in NAUT is no different than investing in any other altcoin at any random time. FYI: "all in" is mandatory only if you're 100% sure the asset will perform as planned (possibilities for this is: equal to NEVER). Don't go full retard. EVER.

True for 99% of the times. There is that other time when a select few control the entire supply side of a "coin" and you have the insider info...

True story Wink

an hour and 19 minutes since the last block. They are averaging 23 minutes per block and they're all full.

this will cause the price to slump, which will kick more hashpower off the networks, causing further backlogs and higher fees in a viscous feedback loop. I told you bastards this would happen.

it's the Fullblocalypse!!

Hmm, while I used to enjoy most of your comments back in the beginning of 2014, I came to realize that you're the perfect contrarian indicator. So basically now that you're screaming "SELL!!! ZOMG BITC0IN DEDD!!!", buying in seems to be the best decision one can take.

Cheers!

He forgot to mention when the dragons come flying...  Grin

The good professor is petitioning the SEC. Charming. Smiley
https://www.sec.gov/comments/sr-batsbzx-2016-30/batsbzx201630-2.htm

That is a bit better argued than his normal misleading posts.  He doesn't deviate so much from facts in his attempt to denigrate bitcoin, yet his emphasis of bitcoin's non-tangibility and failure to add value because of it's "pure" speculation seem to be exaggerated attempts to play into fear of the unknown and fear of the innovative nature of bitcoin.

I really wish he has some BTCs stashed for the upcoming post September 2016 Bankmargeddon... (Financial) Winter is coming professor. Get yourself a coat. Wink

So if that's the case, then the heavy-handed stuff obviously didn't work with Mark. Cut him a deal to reopen MtGox so everyone can get on with their business. He's smart enough to realize he can't steal everyone's coins and still get off completely scot-free. Let him keep 10% and have a get-out-of-jail-free card in exchange for giving up the rest of the stash. 10% should be plenty to keep Mark in frappuccinos and Tibanne in kitty treats for the rest of their lives.

Interesting thought; the real question here would be if you'd trust such a guy with your money / bitcoins ever again... I'd certainly prefer to burn them rather doing that. Grin
