Oregon trail. What old school memories! I too died of dysentery a million times back in 1988, my favorite was when I got to die from exhaustion. And let's not forget hunting all the tasty squirrels. Yummy. I think im going to download that game and play it again, just for fun. Thanks for reminding me of the good ol days. Thanks for your kind words. Yes. You can play the original one here http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.htmlWow...just thinking how cool would it be to replace the money with HYPER...so when you play the game you deposit your initial investment at the beginning of the game. It's a pay to play platform that way....hmm...interesting. I'll put up a bounty if anyone wants to develop it I know someone else is looking into some other game engines for similar style MMO games, but Crypto Galaxies is my priority at the moment. Sorting out some things with a new host, if all goes well can launch the beta soon.

Basic idea for Captain Disaster in Death Has A Million Stomping Boots pre-order:
- To run from 1st April 2016 to 30th June 2016 - 3 tiers (yes, it will almost be like a mini Kickstarter): - Gamer - 500GP - simple pre-order of game - Supporter - 1000GP - pre-order game and mention in game credits - Investor - 2500GP - pre-order, credits and 1GP per copy of game sold in first 3 months following launch
Caveats: I cannot guarantee release date at this time. If we cannot deliver the game release by December 2017, I will return the amount of GP given +20%. (Things will gone catastrophically wrong if we are unable to release the game by December 2017.)
My realistic estimation of game sales, having researched similar releases, is 5-10K. I cannot make any assurances on number of games that will be sold, but obviously I will do everything I can to maximise sales! A "sale" will be counted as any unit sold without being refunded before 3 months from the release date.
We will also run something to get free GP just for buying the game, but the exact mechanics of how this will be delivered are TBC.
Yes I will help you finalize the details. Oh I think you should make it minimum of 1 000 GP for people to be involved. This is going to be awesome! For non crypto users who may actually want to buy some GP in order to pre-order the game (I mean, you never know ) - what's the very easiest, simplest way for them to do so using fiat? The very easiest way would be to make a free account on Bittrex, buy some BTC on Coinmama.com and have it sent directly to their Bittrex BTC account, go to https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-GP and buy some GP. Then send you the GP to buy the game I will help you write a clear and concise guide. cool ... will be one of the investors ... any special mention for the one with the inital idea of having an investor level ?
Hehe I'm sure we could work something out... maybe I could put you in the credits as an "Additional Team Member" or something? (As well as an Investor I mean.) If you have something specific in mind drop me a PM uhm don't know but still got some additional ideas - why not have the investors - or even a higher level which are included in the game .. as pictureframe at a wall, as NPC walking around. Nothing big but some kind of occurrence .. Regards Yes it would be nice to have them recognized somehow, even just with a personal message in the game credits maybe (limit of 140 characters like twitter) and a link to their website maybe? If they have one. EDIT: maybe have an even higher level of backer and they can have an image in the game or something?

Is it still possible to download the mmo to try it ?
I can't find a working link.
Are you referring to the GP 3D MMO Inkhascape that Inkha is working on? I am waiting from him for updates about that project too. It was live but then he said he needed to upgrade the server and I am waiting for an update. If I don't hear back from him soon I will have to remove the game from the thread / games list until he comes back. Yes I am talking about the mmo with a supposed real cash economy. I am quite a famous entropian player, and my mind goes crazy when I see "real cash economy" factors. Oh really? That's awesome. You should take a look at Crypto Galaxies in my signature. Unfortunately it won't have the same graphics as Entropia but it will have a very complex in-game economy.

I strongly believe that the biggest barrier to mass adoption of HYPER by gamers is that the current wallet requires some crypto knowledge to get fully synced up.
I have found a dev who can make us a one click install Electrum wallet for HYPER (meaning people will NOT need to download the blockchain or anything like that), which would be perfect for regular gamers to easily install a HYPER wallet, and also use nowhere near as much RAM as the current wallet..
We need 1.5-2 BTC to make this happen.
As HYPER is extremely under valued right now I do not want to sell some of the bounty funds on the exchange to help fund this.
Would anyone in the community be willing to donate some BTC to help make this happen?
Just want to guage interest and see if people are interested in donating, if there is enough interest I will start an official fundraiser.
Will the wallet be able to perform RPC commands via a console in the wallet? I use electrum wallets for BTC and LTC and the only thing I don't like about them is they don't have a command console. Unfortunately not as you need to be full running the full coin daemon to use RPC commands, which means you also need to have the whole blockchain synced up locally @wheelz Don't worry wheelz it is a very trusted developer. I give 0.06 btc Thank you! Just want to guage interest and see if people are interested in donating, if there is enough interest I will start an official fundraiser.
Hyperfuture, thanks for your dedicated work to HYPER. I will contribute with 0.1 BTC. So with 15-20 of us we could go for it. Thanks Foro. So far we have 0.16 BTC confirmed in donations of a 1.5-2 BTC goal for an Electrum style light wallet for HYPER that will be easy for non-crypto savvy gamers to use. I will also ask the developer if he will accept partial payment in HYPER.

I would say it's going back to 0.01
Sub 0.03 has been broken there will be a huge sell off now, as we are seeing.
Buy walls have been removed, maybe the inside pumpers have now made their millions and it's all downhill from here.

Nice interview! You are a great representative for Hyper and really come across as a down to Earth and positive guy.
Question for anyone - What is the minimum you need to run a computer as POS for Hyper? Thinking of setting something small up, very small.
Thanks in advance, IAS
StakeBox.com? Wow, that is awesome. And if anyone is curious, I don't know this guy! Really nice inexpensive setup that looks energy efficient (which is what I was really looking for.) Thx IAS edit - Anyone here use one for Hyper (I see they can set up the wallet for it.) JT does an amazing job as a HYPER representative. Lots of people use Stakebox for HYPER (and our other gaming currency GP), including JT, he even made an unboxing video.

We're edging closer to having a final plan of making Captain Disaster in Death Has a Million Stomping Boots available for pre-order exclusively for GP, but a few details to iron out first. Will hopefully be able to post absolutely final details before the end of March 2016. Awesome! This is very exciting and yes it will be a world first

Please explain the advantage of running these apps on ether? I'm psyched for Augur and Slock.it
Augur - a trustless, decentralized, unregulated, low fee prediction market. This IMO is the biggest initial use case for Ethereum. These types of industries are notorious for corruption, high fees, and government interference. With smart contracts on a decentralized system... its resistant to all those things. There is potential there to take the gambling industry by storm. Slock.it is a very interesting project, but I have a harder time understanding why it is a good fit for a decentralized system as opposed to a centralized one. I think the main benefit is that it could allow for an IoT based transaction ecosystem that doesn't require vendor lockin, but the path to that doesn't seem very clear. Augur.net is a website managed by "Forecast Foundation". They have a strict TOS and the only way to use augur "the decentralized application" is by accessing augur.net "Slock.it is a registered company in Germany" this is what they say on the main page. Simple question : What if augur.net goes down or it's shut down ? If it's a decentralized app i should be able to use it right away somewhere else. Yes in some ways it seems ETH is not as decentralized as it seems. Don't get me wrong I love the tech though.

Following this thread (seems to have degenerated into some kind of debate), but I am hoping to learn more about what the best ETH dapps might be at the moment I've looked into a lot already, but I want to learn more.

Panic buy now. Last time to buy ETH below 13$. Countdown to lift off. 2 bil market cap in next month. 0.2 BTC per ETH it's the real value.
ETH was not actually ever designed to be a store of value, they even say so in the whitepaper. This is an obvious pump by some mega whales, and a lot of people are going to get burned. It is such a classic bubble. What is value of cryptocoins? IMO we're going to new definition. This and next years value of cryptocurrency will be amount of services hosted on it. Internet of things is the near future. Microsoft investing a lot of $ in ethereum and they knowing what they doing. ETH isnt't another litecoin, dogecon... It's new technology like web 2.0. In terms of the technology I agree. In terms of the price I don't believe it can stay at these levels sustainably. It is a classic bubble, it will pop, and I believe it will stabilize again around 0.01 BTC. Of course I could be wrong. There are already threads on the ETH forums where people are saying it is now too expensive to develop the dapps they were planning on the ETH network due to the current price. Yes, you could be right. But if you correctly predicted BTC price will be stabilized at $2xx in 2013, you would miss a big opportunity to double or triple your wealth. That said, you will have less chance to lose half of your wealth. So, who knows. The only real question is if the bubble will go higher (like BTC in 2013) before it pops or not. Now that it's over 1 billion market cap in my opinion it is much harder to go from 1 Billion to 2 Billion than from the previous value increases we have seen over the last few weeks. Calling Ethereum a bubble is like calling Apple a bubble. What's your definition of a bubble? For a crypto, when it is being hyped in the media, and on the forums, and when it goes up 10x or more in a short period of time. And when most people cannot see it is a bubble Not once has a crypto stabilized at the peak price. Sure ETH will find a new floor (which I believe will be around 0.01 BTC), but I would be really surprised if it goes over 2 Billion market cap and beyond. I don't understand how all of you guys don't get it that the Ethereum rise is mostly fueled by Bitcoin shooting itself in the foot by the block size debate and politics surrounding it. Yes, Homestead release and development of the Ethereum and its features is also responsible for the rise, but not as much as my previous conclusion. If you look at the things from this perspective, there is no way that this is a bubble. OK, of course there is some speculation, there always is. But is this rise a complete bubble, I don't think it is. Now, if die hard bitcoiners, especially on this forum, are refusing to see the forest from the trees and admit that things in Bitcoin land are far from being rose, that's their problem. If these die hard bitcoiners are refusing to believe that many crypto enthusiasts are diversifying their investment out there, just in case, that's really only their problem! Huge volumes are justifying my claims from above. There is a real interest in Ethereum. You just don't fake 100,000+ BTCs volumes, I mean c'mon. Bitcoin has its bubbles too I'm not saying that ETH is "better" or "worse" than BTC.
