Question: Due to big HYPER projects like Poker site, giveaways, competitions, bounties and marketing the 500 000 HYPER MMO Development Fund will be at 450 000 HYPER soon. What should we do?
Keep sponsoring more awesome HYPER projects and spend it down to 400 000 HYPER and then preserve the fund at 400 000 HYPER - 115 (45.1%)
Limit spending (less HYPER projects) until the monthly staking brings the fund back up to 500 000 HYPER - 40 (15.7%)
Manage it how you like. HYPER seems to be going awesome keep it up! - 100 (39.2%)

No. Weight is matureCoins*age. So 1 coin at 1 day old may be weighted as 2. At 2 days old it would be 4, and so on. There's no way to derive the number of coins, as far as I'm aware, nor the age, just the calculation as a whole.

Okay, thank you for explaining that.  Does the coin age change if you add coins to an address?  Or only if you move coins to an entirely new address? (similar to zombie bitcoins?)

Only if you send them to a new address.

Or if you spend some from an input (input will then be sent to a new address + change address, which resets the age on both). That ONLY affects the single input though.

Let's say you have two inputs: 5 and 5
You spend 5
That will remove from input 1 and leave 2 alone, so 2 will keep moving up from the same age

On the other hand, if you did 5.1, you'd have wiped input 1, and split input 2, effectively resetting its age as well.

NP! Just figured since he was trying to understand it, I'd go ahead and clear up things that otherwise might have led to a misunderstanding. I think we covered it all now, Smiley.

Jon Fitch interview sometime tomorrow morning.  I talked to him briefly today on Google and worked through some technical bugs. What nice person. I can't wait for you all to meet him. Great advocate for Crypto, MMA, and of course Gaming/HYPER.  Just a class act.

Great stuff JT I can't wait for the interview, and of course for HYPER to be on NBC sports TV when he wears our logo / website for his next fight. What a champion!

Thanks man. He's a great guy.  He's "our" guy!  Glad you tuned in.

Amazing interview, Fitch is a really interesting and intelligent guy.

Awesome stuff JT! Please reply to your PMs when you can, I need info for the PR we will send out about our partnership with Jon Fitch (how he will be rocking the HYPER logo during his world series fight), and what info we should mention about his MMA fighter's rights campaign.

I strongly believe that the biggest barrier to mass adoption of HYPER by gamers is that the current wallet requires some crypto knowledge to get fully synced up.

I have found a dev who can make us a one click install Electrum wallet for HYPER (meaning people will NOT need to download the blockchain or anything like that), which would be perfect for regular gamers to easily install a HYPER wallet, and also use nowhere near as much RAM as the current wallet..

We need 1.5-2 BTC to make this happen.

As HYPER is extremely under valued right now I do not want to sell some of the bounty funds on the exchange to help fund this.

Would anyone in the community be willing to donate some BTC to help make this happen?

Just want to guage interest and see if people are interested in donating, if there is enough interest I will start an official fundraiser.

Nice interview! You are a great representative for Hyper and really come across as a down to Earth and positive guy.

Question for anyone - What is the minimum you need to run a computer as POS for Hyper? Thinking of setting something small up, very small.

Thanks in advance,
IAS

StakeBox.com?

Wow, that is awesome. And if anyone is curious, I don't know this guy!
Really nice inexpensive setup that looks energy efficient (which is what I was really looking for.)

Thx

edit - Anyone here use one for Hyper (I see they can set up the wallet for it.)

JT does an amazing job as a HYPER representative.

Lots of people use Stakebox for HYPER (and our other gaming currency GP), including JT, he even made an unboxing video.

I use the Stakebox for HYPER as well. Pretty happy with it, it reduced some load on my wheezing, tiny server.

My site sells it and accepts various coins - Stakebox.com only accepts Bitcoin.

I'll vouch for StakeBox. I personally use it and have been for at or over a month now. It's a great little thing, uses almost no electricity (IIRC it was like 3 watts when I checked last), and persists through 'net downtimes, power outages, etc. (meaning as soon as it's reconnected it syncs up and gets back to work). Love it.

i do agree with you and would possible offer a little btc, but what kind of guarantees is this "developer" giving you.

ultimately ease of use will be the only way to get non crypto users willing to use hyper or any other coin.  it needs to be as seemless to the gamer as possible and full proof so they are comfortable using it.  interesting and will wait to see if anyone else is into this idea.

Most people don't care about the technicals of how cryptos work. It's a lot like ACH. I'm sure 99.9% of the people you speak to don't understand, beginning to end, how an ACH transfer works. But people still use it. They are irreversible in the U.S. as well, just like crypto, but people trust the system without knowing anything about it.
