New mining pool ready for public testing: http://hyperpool.microngaming.comThe pool mines Blakecoins using 8 round Blake-256 hashing (not all miners are supported!). The pool pays out in HYPER. You can mine using your CPU, GPU, and FPGA. The mined coins are sold for Bitcoins which are used to purchase HYPER and pay out miners. To start mining read the getting started page. Great thanks for providing this service! Guys please remember it is testing but Ignatius is a solid member of the HYPER community and I am sure he will assist if there are any issues. Dear HYPER Community;
It brings me great joy to inform you that EMC2, with the help of the HYPER Community, has successfully reached our crowdfunding goal for the Havekes project -- you helped fund science success, [[THANK YOU!! ]]
From the looks of things by the end of the campaign (Jan/31) it will have exceeded the goal. I conveyed the news to Dr. Havekes who was sincerely appreciative of all of the work that went into the effort and particularly the abundant sponsorships that pulled the campaign though.
As BTC took the nose dive it was good to know that HYPER rose. Keep doing well.
Thanks again for your participation.
Armis President The Einsteinium Foundation
Honored to be a part of it Armis. Just let me know when you need further support for future campaigns. We will stand by EMC2, the original "cause coin" and keep up the great work also!

Hey everyone just a general HYPER news update Just a reminder to everyone that the big things coming up for HYPER in the near future are the official HYPER Whitepaper and the new anonymous mobile web wallet! Independent crypto journalist Dave Seaman had a great podcast recently with HYPER US business developer Justin Giefer where they discussed Bitcoin and HYPER in some detail. They made a nice analogy in their discussion that Bitcoin is like Microsoft and HYPER is like Apple, and the potential of HYPER for breaking into the global gaming market Check it out: http://www.stitcher.com/s?eid=36763655 We also have a new HYPER price alert twitter account: https://twitter.com/HyperMarketTrex (HYPER is NOT hypercoin and this should be fixed soon) In this news post I also want to do a shout out to Ken from twitter, who I personally recovered 20K HYPER from his old wallet.dat for him. He keeps tipping me through changetip on twitter and I really appreciate it! We have such a great community you're all awesome. I advise everyone who hasn't yet to also check out the new HYPER OP design here. It is much better. Don't forget that HYPER can also be bought with USD at https://comkort.com/trade/hyper_usd Instructions: http://hypercrypto.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page#How_To_Buy_HYPER_With_USDCurrent HYPER twitter competitions anyone can enter

NEW 250 HYPER RT competition: https://twitter.com/HyperCrypto/status/555464443577262081There has also been a lot of great discussion about the core HYPER MMO and I'm as excited as everyone else about it! There has also been a lot of exciting discussion behind the scenes with a number of people about new HYPER projects, but can't announce anything yet. Watch this space. HYPER Wiki has been updated with lots of info check it out at http://hypercrypto.com/wikiRandom note: after bitcointalk going down so much recently I would recommend changing your password here if you haven't already. Better safe than sorry

Hey everyone! Sorry I've had a really busy weekend. I love all the ideas and work going on for the MMO. Rather then tell everyone what to do I am more than happy to let it evolve as a HYPER community project. I can of course also offer bounties to contributors Please keep the ideas coming. I am looking at getting the hosting upgraded ASAP for the hypercrypto.com hosting. Looks like we are a victim of our own success! Also all winners for the monthly blitz will be paid out within 24 hours. Will also reply to all PM's soon. Game on!

Our consultant has finished the technical review of GMC. Primary feedback relevant to the community is as follows: 6. 30 Second Block Target is too fast, it leads to high incidence of Orphan Blocks, and renders GMC highly resource intensive for those wishing to host nodes. I would propose a Block Target of 60 or 90 seconds to remedy this situation.
We questioned this further, and were informed as follows Recipients of Transactions usually require a number of Confirmations (blocks found) to be equivalent to several minutes hashing. With a Block Target of 30 seconds, a recipient may require 30-60 confirmations before classing a Transaction as safely received. This equates to 15-30 minutes of hashing on the chain.
A change in Block Target to 60 or 90 seconds would equate to recipients requiring 15 or 8 confirmations respectively, which maintains the 15-30 minutes requirement of hashing on the chain.
Real-time Transactions can only be provided by accepting 0-Confirmations, or by utilizing a trusted payment provider.
Reducing resource consumption (Bandwidth, Memory, CPU) and improving efficiency of Mining is of paramount importance to your future.
We welcome further input on this matter. This issue can also be resolved by having a "light" GMC client like a web wallet, or electrum like client. Fast transaction speeds is good for a gaming currency.

walletdb.cpp file needs two additional lines: #include <iostream> #include <fstream>
to compile from source... I'm still nowhere near 6hrs to sync, the wallet is running for 12 hours now and got just 100k blocks synced... USE the bootstrap from: https://github.com/palmd/Hyper/releases Also please make sure you are using the source for the latest 1.5.3.1 wallet linked above. The older wallets are slower to sync that is why we have updated them and now have a 1.5.3.1 release. EDIT: Full bootstrap instructions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624651.msg9748799#msg9748799If anyone else is wondering USE THE BOOTSTRAP WHEN SYNCING THE WALLET THE FIRST TIME! If you decide not to that is your choice and is not recommended. I can't use the bootstrap, I'm on linux here. The wallet has compiled successfully, and it's a real racing car compared to the previous one He he good to hear thank you for getting the latest wallet EDIT: Also how is the MMO at http://vslayers.me coming along?

Thanks for the speedy response !! I really don't mind waiting..... in fact, I purposely chose the non-bootstrap Windows download because I was curious how long it would take to download 786k blocks. For educational purposes, I'm still curious as to why it takes so long. Can you offer an explanation? Also, looking to the future, will this cause issues for users as the blockchain continues to grow? Are you using the 1.5.3.1 wallet? Sounds to me like you might be using the old 1.5.0 wallet? Does your wallet have the staking graph? Well 786K blocks is a lot of blocks! There is a reason I recommend the bootstrap Yes it will be further optimized in future wallet updates. Also the web wallet coming out will mean new HYPER users (like gamers who just want to use HYPER casually) will not have to download the blockchain at all I also have some long term plans to condense the blockchain further and have decentralized HYPER / gaming currency markets but I can't announce anything about that just yet Once again, appreciate the expediant communication!! I am using the download from the OP. https://github.com/palmd/Hyper/releases/tag/1.5.1Yeah I need to update that. You are using an old wallet Use this one: https://github.com/palmd/Hyper/releasesNo prob, I'll give it a shot and report back later. I'm stepping out here shortly so I won't be able to get to it immediately. Thanks for the assist HYPERfuture No problem 1.5.3.1 wallet has super seednode hard coded into the wallet it will sync much faster

I was invested in this coin from the beginning. Exited at 8 - 9k have been looking for an entry since, not finding it....
Anyway this thread now consists of people throwing shit at each other, voicing concerns over the code.
Dev now is the time to step up and clear up the staking issue, if you don't this will soon join the hoards of other dead coins.
The staking is fine there really is nothing for me to chime in on. Sorry if you think it's dead but I will continue developing the projects. If you have a large block of coins and your wallet is open it will split itself into smaller piles, That's what my lump of coins has done and on average stakes between 0.1 and 2 GP. 500% in a year. Just put your coins in your wallet and let them stake or let us shake those weak hands.. it's almost pay day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSaA8PnPM44People are so quick to give up on alts these days it is ruthless. Keep working on your projects GP will get there soon enough
