Will there be an update to the wallet to make it more lightweight at some point? I can't really keep it open anymore to stake as it really bogs down my computer, and I by no means have a weak system. I would really like to continue staking on my own computer but until the wallet is less of a resource hog I will not be able to.
I have to agree with this. I'm not staking at the moment but I might have considered continuing to stake if the wallet wasn't quite such a resource hog! (Unfortunately, I do have a weak system!  ) Although I do realise that the web wallet promises staking which will presumably be extremely lightweight! A good short term solution is to just open the wallet once every few days (or even just once a week), and let it sync up and stake for a couple of hours. This works well as you have built a good network stake weight and should stake pretty much as soon as you open the wallet  In the long term yes, we will look at getting the CPU resource usage down in a future update. Syncing like this takes forever, so it's a bit painful. To put it into perspective, if I leave the wallet closed for two weeks, it will take anywhere from 7 to 9 hours to sync up once I open it. Really? That takes me like 1-2 hours and that's on a bad day! But yes we do have some long term plans behind the scenes to reduce blockchain bloat. Watch this space. I think the coolest thing would be if you can do a MultiHYPER. I am working on getting the checkpoint notify developers message removed from the HYPER wallet ASAP!
It is just something in the code that is not needed; there is nothing wrong with the HYPER network or wallet at all everything is 100% fine.

Here is a quick explanation of HYPER staking. There is no minimum balance and coins will begin staking after they have been in your wallet for over 24 hours and as long as your wallet is unlocked (this is much faster than many other coins). You will ALWAYS get your 5% per month. If you have more coins (say 10 000 or more) your wallet will stake more often, as larger amounts have a higher network weight and have a higher chance of staking. But you will always get your 5% per month in the end. You do not need to keep your wallet open the whole time. You can for example open your wallet 3 days after sending coins to your wallet, and you should start staking very fast, as 3 days is much longer than 24 hours. The longer past 24 hours they have been in the wallet the more chance you have of staking. If you have a small amount (under 5000) it may take longer than 24 hours to start staking but you wil always get your 5% monthly in the end. Hope that clears it up! |

So, I could have a copy of Dragon Knight 2 as it is, that I could change (game name, background pictures, monster names/pictures, classes, etc) and turn into a new game that works like Dragon Knight 2 but pays out in GoldPieces only, right?
That sounds great to me, but HYPERFuture, did you have any ideas in mind about what kind of game?
I think I could turn the Dragon Knight game code into a really cool retro style game, that looked and felt different, even though it would play out similarly with the coding end.
In my previous post I was referring to the game HYPERfuture was talking about. I could set it up to use GP and then give you the files for the game. The way I have Dragon Knight 2.0 set up would make it really difficult to transfer to another host. A good alternative for this would be downloading and installing the original Dragon Knight and then editing it to fit the style you want. Getting it ready from the bare minimum would save lots of time as it would cut down on the editing required. Once you have the game set up the way you want I will be more than happy to upgrade it for you to include any features of Dragon Knight 2.0 including withdrawal system, quests, trading, etc etc. The original Dragon Knight can be found at http://dragon.se7enet.com/login.php?do=login if you wanted to check it out and see what you would have to work with. Ok, I got you. Sounds like a plan. So you can get HYPERFuture's ideas of what kind of game/gameplay he wants. Once you've worked on that you can get the code to me, or let me know what kind of images you need, and then I can work on the images/text etc, and then I'd process the payments in the future and you could help out with any upgrades or coding issues (when you have time). Either way though, a good solution would be to host the dev version on a free host such as 000webhost so we could both work on it at the same time without requiring access to each others hosting or having to go through the trouble of sending each other files. Updates done to the dev version could then be downloaded and uploaded to the actual server when needed. That all sounds perfect. Thanks so much to both of you! I was thinking of perhaps a GP only version of DragonKnight, but I'm also currently looking into other web based RPGs too. We would need to playtest them though So I have a big PR campaign for HYPER starting over the next day or two, and I've decided to also mention GP in a big way in this campaign. Which will be powered by Coin2, Hyper, and GoldPieces as well. I have had some computer issues that is holding back on my development. So I need to raise enough to get a more up to date computer. I have 3 crowdfunding campaigns going. One on StartJoin, IndieGogo, and CryptoChange. I raised over 700.00 on Startjoin, though my goal was 6k and you only get the funds if it reaches its goal. So I lowered it this time to 800.00 usd. and a shorter time, since I need this computer asap. I'm really excited to see what the future will be, sense we have joined forces with Hyper. I also will be able to assist KingArbin with Chain Of Conflict. Any help sharing and funding any one of these. Would be awesome. Sharing the most. The more people see it. Is setup available for this? I am wanting to integrate it into Dragon Knight to handle automatic upgrades to VIP+ using HYPER but API's always confuse me and I usually give up pretty quick trying to set them up.
I can handle what happens if it is a successful confirmation of payment, I just don't know how to get my server to interact with the wallet and confirm that a payment was sent.
If it is available, what is the cost?

Hi Anarchist, no cost for the API at present. Happy to work with you to assist with the API. The api is fairly easy to use and the documentation provides a php program demonstrating many of the calls. The most flexible payment API is the "webpay" method. In essence you send details of the payment request to the API (a bit like an invoice). The API returns a string that you put on the end of a URL pointing at the web wallet. The User logs in and sees the details of what they wish to buy and click on accept or reject. When finished they click on a "proceed" button on your site and you send a request to the API using the string previously supplied and the API will confirm or deny the payment. It is very like making a payment to amazon using paypal. Amazon passes you to paypal where you accept the payment and then return to Amazon to get the goods.
