Thanks. That will help a lot already! (despite you being on that list, too)

Actually no, he isn't. Check the January update and the list of the people at the bottom who were removed from the list. But I am so you will probably not see this post if you have already applied it.
22  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: After Sweeping paper wallets.....Ugh... on: May 25, 2016, 08:10:08 PM
(+'amount' unconfirmed)

That means the funds are already in your wallet but are unconfirmed on the network, electrum allows spending unconfirmed funds, so go ahead and send them wherever you need to but remember the coins you send will only confirm after the initial transaction confirms.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Saving Private keys/Seed/Back-up on email? Safe or not? on: May 25, 2016, 07:42:32 PM
How safe do you think is storing anything related to your bitcoins, like private keys, wallet seed, back up on email? I think it is pretty bad, if your email gets hacked, which can happen, you're basically screwed. But I was just watching some tutorials on youtube (to send to a friend) and kept clicking the side to view one after the another, and happened to find this on Electrum:

youtu.be/WdVlH9N2oKU?t=112

It is a pretty good tutorial, until the author suggests taking screenshot of the Electrum seed and saving it on your email? I can understand if you encrypt it and then put it as back up on email, though even then it is not considered secure but putting your seed's screenshot there? That sounds like suicide to me.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: May 25, 2016, 07:09:30 PM
I was really bad at it at one point but now I have gotten really good at it, I rarely overspend, in time I have learned to control my urges, plan ahead on how much I am going to make this week and spend accordingly and my last gf use to tell me that I need to start saving for a rainy day (she was rare Sad) and I din't think of that at the time but now I do save a little, some in bitcoins and some in fiat. I still think I spend a little too much on gambling, which I need to control.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn Bitcoins-easyst way on: May 25, 2016, 07:02:23 PM
Bitcoin = Money

When was it ever easy to earn money, be it online/offline? If you want to earn free bitcoins then faucets are the way to go but you won't make much even if you do it whole day. The best of making bitcoins is offer goods/services or buy some and try to earn from trading/investing/gambling, all have different levels of risk and difficulties.

You better watch out you don't get a neg from a lack of humour mod. That's what happened to me  Cheesy

Buying tips is like buying one of those "How to become rich" books, anyone who buys them have only themselves to blame, if these tipsters were SO GOOD, they wouldn't need to sell the damn tips in the first place.

30  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Dice Site ~~~ Need Help Please on: May 25, 2016, 01:21:32 PM
I've been winning alot (for my standard) on dice sites...

I'll go in and play >50 with a bunch of dust bets, and when I hit several that are under in a row. Then I bet 1 BTC, and if that loses I'll do 2 BTC, if that loses, I'll do 4 BTC, and finally 8 BTC if I have to get there. I'll never bet more than 8 BTC. I've done this about 10 times now and I know I'm surely lucky to have never lost 4 in a row in those ten attempts. However, I have made 10 BTC or just about $4500 from these dice sites.

Someone please give me advice, tips, or speculation on how I can stop and just take my winnings. Please understand it's not as easy as it sounds especially when it seems like "easy money" so far. Of course I know I'm bound to run into a losing streak.

You're martingaling and sooner or later you're gonna bust and it is going to hurt like a bitch. Just do yourself a favor and click withdraw and then block those sites and go meet a shrink coz it sure looks like you're an addict.

Although, it is hard to believe you have that many bitcoins, because if you did, you wouldn't work for a campaign just to make 0.00006 BTC/Post. Mind signing a message from an address containing 10 bitcoins?

Gonna put 35 BTC tomorrow on the Chicago Cubs!

Wow, you're so rich, I totally believe you now since you have provided those hard proofs.  Cheesy

Anyways, it is nice to finally meet you Mr. Craig Wright. Carry on and break that casino, btw, you never mentioned where you play at(Sorry if you have, I didn't read all the messages). Would you mind playing as my referral? Let me know and I'll send you a link through PM.

31  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Have seed, not password but balance not transfering to restored wallet. on: May 24, 2016, 01:49:49 PM
I have the same problem.
I have my seed saved, but forgot my password so i can send payments.
Tried all my casual passwords, but none of them is working. Allthough i paid with Electrum just a few days ago...
When i click on File > New/Restore i have to choose a new wallet name.
Then I click on "Restore a wallet or import keys" i enter my seed and a new password

But when this is done i have no money in this new wallet and the addresses are all different.
Why can't i just choose Restore "Wallet name" from the beginning, instead of creating a new name and then click restore with seed, when this obviously is not working.... Or have i done something wrong??

Best Regards and hoping for a good answer here...

You have to give another name to the wallet you're restoring because the folder already contains a default_wallet file, which is why electrum needs you to set a new name for the second wallet. The steps you're performing are correct but if like you say the addresses are different, then it is quite possible that you're entering a wrong or a different wallet's seed. Did you had 2fa enabled as well?
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Gambling" VS "Hyips" what is the difference? on: May 24, 2016, 01:24:38 PM
The basic difference is, to win anything with HYIP/Ponzi, you're dependent on the next person's investment, if no one invests after you, the ponzi collapses, this is why the promises they make of doubling your investment in short term are lies and are therefore considered a fraud and they're illegal in most parts of the world. Whereas when you gamble, your winning/losing depends on the pre-set rules defined in the game you're playing and the game itself is completely based on luck, therefore it doesn't give any advantage to the casino or the player.
33  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: what site you created your first wallet? on: May 23, 2016, 11:32:22 AM
When I started with bitcoin, I was young and naive like every newbie is and didn't really had any bitcoins either so wasn't concerned about safety since no one can steal your bitcoins if you don't have any and I created 2 wallets, one at coinbase and other at blockchain.info but as soon as I bought some BTC and started understanding the know hows, I moved to Electrum and have never touched any web wallet again, I use electrum on my desktop and for cold storage and Copay on my mobile.
34  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is JETWIN.ps a complete joke? on: May 23, 2016, 11:19:51 AM
--snip--
EDIT: Anyone know any sites that I could use for BTC that AREN'T going to discriminate gender? lol.

That's their terms and condition, so if you disagree with that, you should get away from JETWIN.ps Roll Eyes
Just look for a casino where you don't have to verify any personal information where you can stay anonymous.
Who would play at casino which ask personal information anyway Roll Eyes

Actually, you can have an anonymous account there as long as you don't apply for any bonuses, I have played there for a while (not recently..) and I have never provided any personal information what so ever, I deposited, played and cashed out if I won i.e and was never asked for anything and even this condition is only for no-deposit bonuses, though it is a bit strange, otherwise they're a good sportsbook with nice odds and a killer interface.

@OP, try DirectBet.eu, you are not even required to have an account there, just play and receive the winnings directly to your wallet.
35  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is JETWIN.ps a complete joke? on: May 23, 2016, 10:50:39 AM
Lol, this is the first time I noticed it, maybe because I never had any interest in no-deposit bonus. I am sure there is an explanation for this or maybe it is just a typo(I hope it is Cheesy).

Here are the Terms & Conditions
I didn't find anything regarding sex in order to take part in promotions.
It is here: http://web.archive.org/web/20160523104822/https://www.jetwin.ps/us/no-deposit-bonus/

I never heard that there's a site not accepting women to get bonus.. thats impossible and i think all gender should accept men or even women..
Maybe they are just have a policy like this because of legality..

Which country do you think has a law that allows men to gamble but doesn't allow women to do so? This is indeed something I have never seen before. And there isn't anything written about this in their Terms afaik, so this isn't a legal thing. Maybe women abuse no-deposit bonuses more than men do?  Cheesy

37  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum wallet on: May 23, 2016, 08:50:49 AM
a good wallet and good reputable, but i think newbie should not use this wallet for now, because they wan't getting hard to understand to use this wallet,i suggest them to use online wallet like blockchain or coinbase.

What's hard to understand? the most basic thing to do before sending anything to the wallet is jot down your SEED somewhere safe, that's it, as long as you have that your coins are safe. But OP just make sure that your system is clean from viruses/malwares/keyloggers.
38  Economy / Gambling / Re: Most comprehensive list of bitcoin casinos on: May 21, 2016, 03:09:03 PM
It is a good thing that DB doesn't accepts fiat, if they did then they'd have to add all those regulations and terms and conditions, which becomes a pain in the ass to comply with, I prefer playing with my bitcoins with complete anonymity, hate playing at casinos which ask for IDs and what not, even though you're playing with BTC.

OP, check these site for bitcoin casinos: http://www.bestbitcoincasinos.net/, http://gamblingwithbitcoin.com/best-bitcoin-casino/
, you'll find almost all there but be sure to read casino's terms before you play, cheeky things they add in there.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My transaction got confirmed or not ? on: May 21, 2016, 02:47:20 PM
Edit: I misunderstood the question, it must be because of your wallet, which one are you using? Your wallet seems to have a bug that in creating non-standard signatures. Since it got confirmed, you don't have to worry about it now, but better update the wallet so it doesn't happens again. Would be much easier to help if next time you can provide the tx id.
40  Other / Meta / Re: Are you happy with the Bitcointalk administration/moderation? on: May 21, 2016, 02:24:38 PM
I am happy Smiley, I think admins/mods here are very much friendly, helpful and most importantly they moderate everyone with same standards, doesn't matter if you're new or old, if you break the rules, you'll get the same treatment as the next guy does. And I have mentioned this before too, it ain't easy managing this place but they do a good job at it.
