1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 25, 2015, 03:20:13 PM
Based on the weather report I think whether will interrupt many times during the 3rd test match. The weather forecast has predicted thunder showers for the entire week. If this happens then weather will win the match and series will become draw. Also 3rd test is the last match for Sangakkara, let see how his farewell match will end up?

I think 2nd Test was the final test match for Sangakkara ,as all off them gave him farewell and now you are telling sangakkara will play 3rd test, please confirm it . and thanks for giving the weather forecast for the 3rd test match , then i think as per your report it is better now to take draw as bet and when it come low you can make all site green.

Yup, the last one was his last too. When he got out in last inning everyone shook his hands and he did a thing with their national flag or something and so it was his last and weather forecast might turn out to be wrong, so let's not worry about that.

Who you guys are picking for tomorrow's ODI between NZ and SA?
I'll go with SA on this one.

I guess use the MoneyPot so people don't have to worry about safety or provably fair and apart from that make it beautiful but not bloated. Also, make sure you have good enough funds to promote it, firstly with giveaways to entice people and get them to come at your site and then to be able to afford a signature campaign so people who don't visit this section a lot get to know it too. And last but not the least a lot of patience.

3rd Test : Sri Lanka vs India on  August 28 - 1 Sep 2015

The 3rd and last Test Match will be the deciding Test for the series who wins and takes the series cup, as of now the series in Level 1-1. Hope that India win this Series and Virat Kohli proves himself as a best captain for India.

There's another important match before that SA vs NZ 3rd ODI, which is on 26th and I reckon it is going to be a cracker of a tournament. It's getting too hard to pick between them but I might go with SA this time because they have a better bowling side from NZ.
1004  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallets for Windows Phone? on: August 24, 2015, 11:09:35 AM
I have a windows phone too and I have been using Copay as a secondry client for when I am away from my Laptop and I so far have no complaints, except few concerns on how to import it's keys to another wallet should it stop working in future but right now it's not possible to do that, so my advice to you would be to use it but only as a secondry wallet and keep minimum funds there.

But all in all till now I haven't had any issues with its working and I have kept upto 0.1 BTC there and they stayed there, It also has a multisig feature which can further keep your bitcoins safe.
1005  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: First post and i am a wreck on: August 24, 2015, 11:03:03 AM
You haven't lost your bitcoins, firstly check your bitcoin address at a block explorer like blockchain.info and it should show that the coins are still there, now if you're on ubuntu and a slower connection Electrum can sometimes take a while to connect, change your servers by clicking on the red dot and selecting a server manually. Restart electrum and it should connect, just leave it running for a while. And turn off the torrents or any other downloads you have running.
1006  Economy / Reputation / Re: The BCT PGP/GPG Public Key Database: Verify Before You Click "Send". on: August 24, 2015, 10:50:02 AM
I think it's a good idea that while you're listing their PGP keys you also link their unedited older posts where they posted those keys themselves so one can verify that the keys listed in this list are the original ones posted by them.

Just a suggestion.

Actually, for that, I need to go through all their posts and search for it which will be a tidious job. Anyways, your name has been added to the list. Tongue

Well yeah Smiley but it would be the right way, you'll find a lot of them listed in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0

And there are a lot of members on this forum and I don't know how many of them have PGP but this would be a huge list if you put them all, I say just put the important ones and leave the rest, like me Cheesy

Remember with Great List comes Great Responsibility.

Btw I must say that I really like the look of it, the colors and background looks really sexy and on top of that it loads very fast. I asked something in the chat but may you're not active there right now, what's the number behind people's name in chat? Is it ID because I got 100 ??

Received the 0.005 Smiley, may I know what's the wagering requirement on it?
Hey there is no rollover for it, you can instantly withdraw the bonus(thats what I did xD).

Well I am playing with it and winning right now so maybe I'll double it and then withdraw it. Wink

1010  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Webcam sex for bitcoins on: August 22, 2015, 12:52:33 PM
So which one of these sites have the most girls? I very rarely go for cam chatting but when I do I go for chaturbate which is the best but sadly they don't take bitcoins anymore, so instead of only adding them as a list OP it's better if you check them out and rate them according to the availability of girls, easiness and how good is their network and also how much is their rate/token etc.
1011  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Receiving Transaction: Did i make something wrong? on: August 22, 2015, 12:47:43 PM
Is your electrum synced? Is the green light lit up at the right bottom of it's window? If not then let it sync and when it is it will show the transaction and the funds in your wallet. i.e. if the person who was suppose to send you the money have sent it already and to check whether the address has any funds or not follow the advice above and look it up on a block explorer.

I don't know if you have taken back up of your Electrum Seed. If you haven't just do it because it's the most important thing you'll need to control your funds.

1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: August 22, 2015, 12:00:02 PM
I can't hold it, I am using it like I would use the fiat, I buy with it whatever I want to buy online, either direct or through a third party but mostly I am gambling with it, I buy almost half a bitcoin every month now and spend it. Don't know if that's good or bad but if and when I have some money which I want to put into some savings, I'll surely buy more and put them into a cold storage but it also depends on which is going to win the consensus.

1015  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: thoughts on coin base wallet on: August 21, 2015, 02:36:44 PM
It depends on how much BTC you're thinking of storing there, if the amount is small then you can continue using it but if you plan to store big amount then it is advised to use a desktop client, which includes Bitcoin Core which is the main client but it takes a lot of time and bandwidth to sync, and which is why you can use a lighter desktop wallet such as Electrum which is safe and easy to maintain. Just read more about wallets and cold wallet for safe keeping of your bitcoins.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE OR INVEST? on: August 21, 2015, 02:30:13 PM
Investment is considered safe but not all investments. BTC investments are not safe at all because you're trusting someone you don't know at all with just a site and a name and they can run away pretty easily with all your investment funds. There aren't any legit investment options with BTC but you can lend here on the forum with proper collateral but again it has it's own risks. For me I prefer gambling, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody but I don't have the patience to invest in something and they just wait for it to gain some profit, it's boring, I'd rather gamble and take my chance.

If you want to invest, then invest in an idea, think of something a business , a website that can bring good returns and invest your money and effort into making it success.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you use old Bitcoin if XT wins? on: August 21, 2015, 02:20:23 PM
If XT wins I'll end my journey with Bitcoins and maybe move to Litecoins or some other altcoins.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How has discovering bitcoin gambling affected your life? on: August 21, 2015, 02:07:08 PM
I was always a gambler but bitcoin gambling made it more convenient for me to gamble and as far as addiction goes, I don't know if I can call one myself yet but I have lost a good amount of money since I started gambling online with BTC but I still think I can make up my losses just need some luck on my side.
1019  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Its time for the campaign runners to raise your pathetic rates on: August 20, 2015, 07:25:46 PM
The rates are fair and some of the campaigns are running a reward/bonus program for the participants who perform well, post good posts, post actively and don't spam, so thats an added advantage. And don't forget that this is just a form of advertising and each company has their own budget which they can spend on marketing.

If the ad campaign is proving to be beneficial for the company then they might increase the price and/or participants but you can't force someone to pay more, you can only decide whether or not you wish to participate in that price or not.
1020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: XT, hard fork, ... for beginner ! on: August 20, 2015, 06:59:55 PM
Quick ELI5:

Running XT at this time is equivalent with running Core. It's the same network, and the same Bitcoins. At some point in the future, if 75% mining majority is reached (but not before January 2016), the network will split whenever a miner creates a block larger than 1MB. This will not be accepted by Core unless they adopt a large blocks patch, but will be accepted by XT, and at this point there will effectively be two chains.

Running XT means that you will always be on the largest (75%+) chain, regardless of whether the fork actually happens or not. Running Core means that you will be left behind if a 75% majority is reached. Regardless of which version you run, coins will be safe (on both chains) as long as you acquired them prior to the fork, and for some time the chains will largely mirror each other.

I am not so technically advanced but isn't there a way to patch the bitcoin core to solve the big blocks issue? why can't developers together decide on something that wouldn't lead to the fork? This whole thing is really embarrassing and is putting a somewhat bad impression on Bitcoin and I fear that if this so called fork happens it might just kill bitcoin.
