501  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum cannot send bitcoin - please help! on: January 23, 2016, 12:29:33 PM
Not sure but it looks like you're trying to send the coins from a watch only address and because it doesn't have its private key in the wallet, electrum is not offering you the sign/broadcast/send options.

Did you restore this wallet from Master public key?
502  Economy / Digital goods / Re: im ned 0.01 BTC on: January 22, 2016, 03:26:13 PM
I want to buy this account, I sell only need a quick 0.01
What did you just said?
Are you selling or want to buy an account?

He is most probably selling his own account. Its just getting worse, make accounts, spam, sell, repeat.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Visa Card on: January 22, 2016, 03:19:42 PM
I think almost all the bitcoin exchange cards do that.Check out : https://www.ecoin.cc/ and https://www.coinizy.com/ I think coinizy is what exactly you're looking for.Since I have not used any of these I can't really vouch for their service.E-coin has their thread around the forum though.

Yeah, a couple of other exchanges has them too but OP you should know that you have to keep your BTC with them for you to use these cards and you have to fill up the KYC forms and they charge a little fee for ordering and everytime you use these cards.
504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoin - limit order on: January 22, 2016, 03:06:55 PM
Yeah, I am not aware of any such service either and even if one exists you'll have to keep fiat there for it to autobuy at the specified rate. Maybe there are exchanges which allow that but I don't know and wouldn't trust any.
505  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum is saying "Server is lagging by 817 blocks". What does that mean? on: January 22, 2016, 02:49:28 PM
Its the anduck.net server and is now lagging 955 blocks, maybe electrum should have a way of not connecting to these servers who are lagging, in auto mode but I suppose there is no way to check that.
506  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Does anyone here go to Bitcoin Meetups? on: January 22, 2016, 02:43:06 PM
I have been to one a long time back, only 3 people showed up, I am sure there are more people in the city who are completely familiar with Bitcoins but maybe they prefer to remain anonymous. There was one more organized a little away from my town but it was cancelled due to no interest.
507  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Has there been any tries for BOT for faucets? on: January 22, 2016, 02:15:13 PM
Its bad for the faucet owners, bots for gambling are different things because gambling sites make money from the bets but faucets only make them from the advertisements which depend on unique user visits, so by bot`ing the faucets you're basically stealing from them and thats not nice and most bots come with nasty malwares+trojans, so its best to avoid them.

Plus this:

believe me bot will not make you rich person.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin issue on: January 22, 2016, 02:04:19 PM
I see people selling a lot of things here everyday, maybe whatever you were trying to sell was not sold because either same thing was available to be bought at cheaper price somewhere else on the internet or maybe no one was interested in it at all. I don't think people just don't spend bitcoins because they're hoarders but they do spend them carefully, I gamble with bitcoins everyday, I don't buy a lot of stuff because simply I don't find anything worth buying.

I see you were selling re-tweets here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326991.0

And some people did bought them but some found them expensive and that is perfectly normal.

I don't see how this is an issue with bitcoin.
509  Other / Meta / Re: Things not against forum rules but frowned upon by community! (Beta!) on: January 22, 2016, 01:26:36 PM
These are the best rules I can think of now Smiley
I think these rules might be implemented in the new forum since this one has already become a big garbage and amendments cannot be done now in this forum.

I think 12 is strict because there are many developers here who creates new things and needs some donations to continue. It should not be a hard and first rule to be a part of charity right?

Wouldn't call these rules but suggestions of stuff not liked by most of the community, including DT members.

12 is basically for people who try to do the old charity scam, they come with a story that they're raising funds for this this.. but most of the time its not true, which is why it should be avoided. But if they're really from an organization and they provide proofs and it verifies then there should be no problem, unless ofcourse it is against the rule as suggested by Mickeyb above.

As for developers, I haven't seen anyone asking for donations, if you have seen such threads then please point to me and I'll add about that up there too but I don't think that they get funds without providing collateral or proofs.

The "rules" listed in this thread are just guidelines, moderators and admins don't have the time nor would be willing to take the effort to start scam hunting. The current rules are fine.

Asking for donations is not only frowned but is not allowed by forum itself, posts like those will be deleted

I am sure I have seen 1-2 such posts recently, will try to find them and link here and I don't think they were removed. Not aware of that rule either.

Found one here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1328919.0
Archive: https://archive.is/0NYqu

And they asked for permission right here in Meta, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1328890.0;all
Archive: https://archive.is/K93f5

But wasn't given permission nor denied by moderators and the above thread wasn't removed either, so I am not sure if there is a rule for that or not.

510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Bash League T20 Cricket Predictions Discussions on: January 22, 2016, 12:52:43 PM
Congrats Melbourne Stars won this match as expected so that i am also happy to make huge profit by betting on it. Grin

I would have made some profit too but I had them in the Parlay and Bangladesh was there too and they lost to Zimbabwe, again, twice in a row, who would have thought that? I think I should just start putting straight bets from now.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Fork is not happening... on: January 21, 2016, 03:39:18 PM
This is good news. Never understood why all the changes which are needed couldn't be made in the Core itself.

But is this for real?

512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going to be the next big Bitcoin announcement? on: January 21, 2016, 12:10:02 PM
Since this question was asked by OP in december, I'd say the big Bitcoin announcement which OP was hoping for has already happened, 2 actually, one is Cryptsy getting allegedly hacked and funds stolen and two Mike's departure from Bitcoin world.
513  Other / Meta / Re: Paid to Post: is it acceptable? on: January 21, 2016, 12:04:45 PM
I don't think it is acceptable but its hard to differentiate if the person posting on a subject is actually paid to do so or just saying things they really mean. It's definitely wrong to vouch for things you don't know anything about and which could potentially harm others financially.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Bash League T20 Cricket Predictions Discussions on: January 21, 2016, 11:21:56 AM
This match will be closed in 17th over at a successful run chase by Sydney Thunder. What is important the current run rate in going declining is pushing Thunder nearer to its second consecutive victory to put it back in the game to reach at topper position.

Maybe not the 17th but it will be won easily by thunders, I wasn't sure today so I put them in a parlay which I lost because of one other match but made my money back because I had put some money on Alex Ross.
515  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file while opening Electrum on: January 21, 2016, 11:14:14 AM
I have just rebooted my Pc and the problem went away. It still gives me:

Program: C:\Users\MICRO~PC\DOCUME~1\electrum-2.5.4-portable.exe
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information

But then Electrum loads up next

That is probably because you're using the portable version but as long as you can use your funds, it shouldn't be a problem as far as I can tell but make sure to keep back up of your wallet, should something go wrong in future your funds will still be sound.

Also, you should read this warning about portable version: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=154451.0
516  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Money stolen from an older wallet version on: January 20, 2016, 03:13:09 PM
Was his wallet encrypted? Because it is much easier for malwares to steal the wallet and funds from inside it, if the wallet is unencrypted as they contain the private keys in simple form.

I have used 1.9.8 in the past for a long time but am not aware of any vulnerabilities in it and never had anything stolen from it either, although, I never had/kept that much funds in it.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Oscars on: January 20, 2016, 02:48:43 PM
I have seen already The Revenant, The Martian, The Big Short, Bridge of Spies and Spotlight.

Matt Damon was very good in The Martian, but for me Oscar should to get DiCaprio, he was really brilliant! Glob for sure will help him to do that finally Wink

The Revenant is very interesting but probably Oscar for best movie will get The Martian.

I must see Mad Max to get a look on bigger picture, but i dont like movies like this so probably my opinion will not change.

We will see.. Wink

I have seen Bridge of Spies but I don't think it is worthy for an Oscar.

Spotlight and The Revenant seems to be everyone's favorite, I am watching The Revenant tonight or tomorrow and will try to watch the others before betting on anything.
518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: pending transaction on: January 20, 2016, 02:36:15 PM
As suggested, post the transaction ID here, in Electrum you can do that by right clicking on the transaction in History and selecting "Copy to clipboard". It will then be easier to determine the cause for it.
519  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | More Sports | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: January 20, 2016, 02:20:48 PM
We will soon accept zero confirmation on all deposits!  Shocked

I believe it will be for users using the Bitgo wallet, right? I saw it yesterday too but not sure how it works.

One more thing, will you be adding the Australian Open matches for betting? I don't see them.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have anyone facing issue with dogechain web wallet ? on: January 20, 2016, 02:16:37 PM
I was just able to log in to my wallet no problem.

Good to know, make sure to take back up this time, for if something like this should happen in future, you'll be able to access your funds alternatively.
