101  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: April 27, 2016, 01:15:44 PM
Buy 100 BTC right away, I know it would probably not be the wisest thing to do because for Bitcoin to fall that much would mean that something really went bad somewhere and which would in turn mean that buying is not recommended but I don't care if I lose that $100, I want to see 100 BTC in my wallet for once.

I don't think this would ever happen but just to give it a thought, what event could have that much adverse effect on bitcoin price? Chinese miners dumping all of their coins at once?
102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [banned mixer] legit ? on: April 27, 2016, 12:32:05 PM
Can't say, only time will tell. I was one of the paid testers of their site for bugs and the reviews left were for the same and are not vouches for their legitness.

For now if you must use them for mixing your coins, I'd say do that in small proportions, that may cost you a little bit more in service+tx fee but atleast you would not be at that much risk.
103  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you're going 80 Miles/Hour, how long will it take to go 80 Miles? on: April 26, 2016, 12:36:28 PM
When in doubt, use the guide. The expert in the first video has some nice theories.  Wink
104  Economy / Exchanges / Re: if i want to open bitcoin exchange, should it need take permission to government? on: April 26, 2016, 12:19:04 PM
There's two types of bitcoin exchanges, one that sell/buy bitcoins using fiat money(credit/debit card/Bank/e-wallets/wire-transfer/WU/MG/Etc.) and the other where you ONLY trade bitcoin and altcoins, for the latter I don't think you'd be required to have a license because simply put you're not doing any fiat to bitcoin trade and therefore don't come in jurisdiction of any laws and there is no way to track the transactions since they're just moving in blockchain from one address to the another. It is only when you buy/sell bitcoins for fiat is when you're required to follow the KYC laws and therefore require a license.

But having said its best to contact your local legal adviser about this instead of asking it here.

106  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info login issues, please help on: April 25, 2016, 03:05:33 PM
Hi, Yes I use 2fa with email, which was added on to my account automatically a while back as I didn't use sms, can the wallet.aes.json file just be exported onto those programmes without decryption of any kind? And this may sound like a silly question, but would the wallet backup have had to have been updated up to the last point I received btc or would it show my correct balance regardless of at what point I downloaded it?
Make another blockchain.info wallet (with the same password used in the previous wallet), this time don't use any email but MAKE SURE to take NOTE of the Mnemonic and the Identifier, login into your new blockchain.info wallet and go to "Import/Export" tab, you'll see a warning, click "I understand", you might be again asked to enter your password, after that select "Import wallet".

Open up your previously saved "wallet.aes.json" file in notepad, copy the whole thing and paste it in the import wallet field at blockchain.info and click on "import wallet" button at the bottom, if you used the same password then it would decrypt the file, import its keys into the new wallet and sync it and your bitcoins will show up in the new wallet, ready for you to spend. 107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ever find an old wallet? on: April 24, 2016, 03:10:42 PM
I did found a wallet which I thought I had used and was empty but it didn't had that much BTC as yours did, not even close to that but it was like finding money in your pocket and it felt great.

Most people would already delete/lost his/her wallet file, i heard a guys throw away harddisk with thousands bitcoin inside it Roll Eyes

I wiped a disk partition once accidentally, which contained some altcoin wallets but never throw away any wallets, what if tomorrow a new coin like clams comes along with a blockchain based giveaway?
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any good sports betting BTC sites? on: April 24, 2016, 03:06:22 PM
Good ones according to me are:

1. DirectBet.eu
2. BetBTC.co
3. Jetwin.ps

These are the ones I usually play at and have had no problem with the first 2, had a little hiccup with the 3rd one once but it was sorted very quickly. So all of them are good in my opinion. There's a rating thread.. 2 actually, just search the sub section.
109  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC ★NEW DICE GAME★ Bitcoin Sports Betting | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: April 24, 2016, 02:59:32 PM
Won my matches just now!
Congratulations , can you tell us your tips?
Pick a nice team to bet on with not so high numbers for winning.

LOL, what a great tip. It will work most of the time, I am sure. Cheesy

@gyo9i, what sports do you really bet on? If you follow one or two passionately then you wouldn't feel the need to get tips from anyone, you can make your own calculative guesses. That's all there is to it, no magic.
110  Other / Meta / Re: Links no longer open in a new window/tab on: April 24, 2016, 02:51:34 PM
How about if I click Ctrl+Click? I usually always do that, hate opening links in same tab. Thanks Kcud_dab (first time I've seen you btw, greetings! Smiley )
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "All In" or "Bank" Challenge! (Comment and I'll do it) on: April 22, 2016, 02:06:36 PM
What do we get if you win ?
I say YOLO!! it. But don't cry afterwards. Cheesy

Or do what I do sometimes when I am unsure, Flip for it, use this: http://justflipacoin.com/
Heads: Yolo
Tails: Half a bet

Here is a suggestion for the thread though, add a poll, it'd be much easier to decide then what's the crowd's verdict. GL Smiley
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TENNIS TO-TO PARLAY DISCUSSION on: April 22, 2016, 01:53:24 PM
Hello , we have been seeing through out the forum many people saying Tennis is " One of the best sport" to bet on if we have proper knowledge . I will try to give some TOTO tips here , if we get going well , then we shall continue with it .

Today's picks will be

1. Nadal v Fognini

Set betting - Nadal 2-0

2. Kicker v D Young

Match winner - D Young

3. Dolgopolov vs Nishikori

Match winner - Nishikori

Total toto odds - 2.38

link - https://directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=1L6qRTjAYpokvcQwwP9NZSTELSWVEY6qXF

Total bet - 1 unit .

All safe picks, except one and that would be "Nadal 2-0" imho, although Nadal on clay court is the dead favorite in this match but I am thinking Fognini might be able to grab a set or atleast come close to, can see that you're not too sure yourself, hence the pocket change bet Cheesy, let's see how it goes. 113  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Hackers please do this to the PONZIS. on: April 22, 2016, 01:41:02 PM
Ponzi owners are probably hackers themselves and therefore know better how to protect themselves from the other hackers and the truth is hackers/thieves don't have a conscious, if they did they'd not do this to anyone in the first place, so what you're trying to do in hopes they have a change of heart is just a fool's dream. It don't make no difference to them whether you're good or bad. If they see a vulnerability/hole in your security, they'll take it.
114  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: lost my password, but still have the seed on: April 21, 2016, 02:23:45 PM
Are you restoring the wallet with 2fa? Which version of Electrum are you using? There was a problem with restoring wallet with 2fa in the 2.6 and 2.6.1 version, try the latest version and it might work.

And what do you mean by this?
Quote
i used the tutorial to recover the pw and entered my seed but nothing happened, i cant transfer my btc..
Did you had seed encrypted by keypass too? Are you entering the correct seed, the way you can check that is see, if the addresses listed in the wallet contains the one you sent the coins to.
115  Other / Meta / Re: Things not against forum rules but frowned upon by community! (Beta!) on: April 21, 2016, 01:42:14 PM
1. Be civil. Insulting other members because of personal differences, race, gender or for any other reason is considered ill-mannered.

That is just dumb and doesn't really make any sense at all.
Be civil ?
What YOU may consider civil others may not.. it is a bit subjective and depends on the situation etc.
When it's not subjective it would fall under "personal" Insults, fighting trolling, flaming etc (ACTUAL RULES)
Some of these need to be thought out better.
You're right, for someone it might be okay to swear, call someone by their race (ni####)(muslim $#$%) but for others it might not and even if you disagree with someone and you're making an argument it doesn't justifies to use these terms in a civil society. That is all I meant by "be civil" and abusing or using degrading words is considered ill mannered to everyone, not just me.

Now you disagreed with me on this point and you expressed your opinion in a nice manner, but it could also have been like, "listen ass brain, "be civil" this rule doesn't makes and fucking sense you MORON" Cheesy, now this wouldn't have looked too good, would it? And if many people started doing this then it would become a problem. I personally don't have any problems people swearing or calling each other names, but I just think this being THE bitcoin forum, visited by the people from all over the world would not look professional if this becomes a norm.

Anyways..

And how about Noob accounts showing up with 4 posts lipping off veteran crypto guys
and dishing out trade advice ?
Seen any new accounts here posting retarded "buy ethereum" comments lately ?
it's and i quote.. "being used by Microsoft & IBM" so.. buy buy buy it will go to $100 a coin later  Roll Eyes

This I do consider to be wrong, there's another thread on this subject "Paid to Post: is it acceptable?" is the title of it and I was thinking of adding about it in the OP but I am lost as to what should it be? There's no way to know whether someone saying something about a coin or a service is actually giving their opinion or being paid to post someone else's opinion.
116  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any new DaDice-like websites? on: April 20, 2016, 02:07:45 PM
that scam DaDice

In what way DaDice was scam? Huh

Don't know that either, I was part of their signature campaign as was a lot of other reputed members and everyone was paid in full and I haven't seen any scam accusations against them. There was a little dispute when they were asked to provide their cold storage addresses, which iirc they refused to (don't know why Huh ) and .. don't remember what happened after that but they closed the Sig campaign after a while and must've closed the site sometime after that.

Edit: This thread will explain what happened: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1066980.0

@OP, try primedice, rollin both have faucets which gets increased as you wager more.
117  Other / Meta / Re: Can't see new P.M. sent to other users on: April 20, 2016, 01:52:21 PM
Is it not in -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;f=outbox ?

Go to your "Profile>Personal Message Options" and tick on "Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default." if it isn't ticked already.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 20, 2016, 01:24:52 PM
Should be a good match today and hopefully with lots of ups and downs which might help us make some money, have to say up until now there hasn't been much opportunities. As per my calculations, RCB should be the winners today. GL Smiley
119  Other / Meta / Re: Paid to Post: is it acceptable? on: April 20, 2016, 01:08:48 PM
It is not entirely wrong to be paid to post provided you are not trying to scam people. At least I don't think it is against the rules of this forum.

Not everything is against the forum rules but is still considered wrong/immoral to do so, like the list of things mentioned here, if you're paid to post point of view of someone else then it is definitely wrong.
120  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC ★NEW DICE GAME★ Bitcoin Sports Betting | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: April 20, 2016, 01:00:17 PM
Great service and best odds !
Needs more promotion and maybe to make few tutorials so you can get more users.
"Withdraws can take up to 24h to be processed." When i read that i was like  Undecided  cause ppl don't like to wait that much but i got my money after 20 min.
That's all i can say about BetBTC  Smiley

I wish you all the best !

Hi,

Withdrawals are usually instant, very strange why your took 20mins..
We have to display that message because few withdrawals which are very big OR force us to make additional verifications / audits may cause extra delay, however we process everything within an hour for 99%+ of requests.

I can confirm that, as all the signature campaign participants and the gamblers who play at BetBTC would, all my withdrawals were super instant, by the time I would go check my address at the block explorer, the transaction would be there already, but as mentioned the dialogue is there for bigger withdrawals.

There is one other dialogue which needs to edited @BetBTC, the Tx fee now added to the withdrawals is 15k Sats when it says 10K Sats at the withdrawal window. Wink
