21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Number of new Bitcoin wallets drops to lowest level since 2018 on: May 20, 2024, 04:45:15 AM
Everyone is beginning to be bearish hehehehe but this article cannot be more bullish, I reckon. New wallets and onchain volume might be down, however, the price of bitcoin has not dumped on our faces. How strong would bitcoin pump again when new investors arrive through the ETF and from retail investors? They will return and new projects created on bitcoin will make this a certainty.

Six months ago, excitement around spot Bitcoin ETFs, developments in the Bitcoin ecosystem such as Ordinals, and the upcoming halving drove the average weekly number of new Bitcoin addresses to approach its highest levels since its all-time high value in December 2017.

Yet six months on, just like in early 2018, the number of new addresses joining the network has cratered as the fervor around new Bitcoin projects dies down.

Other related metrics were down as well including, critically, miner revenue as measured by hash rate, which has also fallen to record lows. Transaction fees on the network are also down, as well as on-chain volume metrics.

22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new type of shills similar to ICO scammers, this is called Key Opinion Leaders on: May 20, 2024, 03:34:46 AM
Aren't "Key Opinion Leaders" just influencers under a difference name? That seems to be the case, to me.

I would never trust any influencer, no matter what they say or do. They only have one agenda: to make money from promoting something. You cannot really put your trust into someone like that.

Yes, they are people who have many followers in social media which make it appear that they have good opinions on different occurrences and on the direction on where the cryptospace goes. However, they are only people chosen by the project and given an allocation of tokens with a cheaper price which will be on 2x or more on listing on CEX or DEX. This is very much similar to the ICO scams again.

Also, there are people who have gotten an allocation of tokens before the influencers, these are the venture capitalists! What are the biggest funded projects in the cryptospace that are new and that have not released a token? These projects might become the biggest scammers on 2025 or 2026.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 19, 2024, 04:27:13 AM
@LogitechMouse. I am not very optimistic on Tyson Fury's chance of having the victory on this immediate rematch on October. He was knocked down by Usyk who is smaller and who does not have much power on his punches? Also, why did Tyson stop the uppercuts to the body? It was beginning to disrupt Usyk on round 7! Yes, this result of this was quite a shock and also certainly a disappointment for the fans of Mike Tyson Fury!
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 18, 2024, 06:21:22 AM
It appears that the Tyson Fury has taken his training more serious for this fight against Usyk. Did I see that there was abdominal muscles in Fury's midsection? Did these abdominal muscles appear when Fury fought Francis Ngannou? I reckon Fury appears to be more slimmer for this fight vs. Usyk than the fight against Ngannou hehehe. I predict this fight against Usyk will be a similar performance Tyson Fury has done against Wladimir Klitschko.

25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: May 18, 2024, 05:28:39 AM
@rdbase. There is another fighter in this event who also has a very good body. This is the mannish woman called Ariane Carnelossi. Her muscles are very hard and strong very much similar to Edson Barboza and much of the men. This appears to be very much similar to Kayla Harrison's muscles, I reckon. Also, she is very much underestimated by the sportsbooks henehehe.

We can be quite certain that her breakfast is dinosaur meat.
26  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: May 18, 2024, 04:35:33 AM
It is really idiotic to punish the developer, while the co-founder was declared not guilty.

This is idiotic because they blame him on the usage of the people who have used Tornado Cash. This has created a dangerous precedent on anonymous coins, tools and projects in the cryptospace. It also appears that the developer can be charged for the crimes that another person has done. Does this imply that if a terrorist used a Nokia cellphone to detonate bombs, Nokia is also implicit to the crime? A very headshaking argument.
27  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cartier jewelry heir arrested for laundering drug money with USDT on: May 18, 2024, 03:38:02 AM
@zasad@. Unrealistic? Are you telling me that this information is fake? Why would they do this? I reckon that this type of behavior would certainly cause regulators to seize their domains and imprison their executives.

Similar to you, before I was a Tether, USDT skeptic. However, it has been more then 4 years since I have created my Big Short thread and Tether only has become bigger and more profitable, more accepted and stronger.
Do you really think that someone will repay this national debt?
https://www.usdebtclock.org/
I am sure that the American budget benefits from Tether printing new billions and buying 90% of the amount from each billion American Treasuries.
The crypto market is growing, tokenized assets are growing, and the most popular stablecoins on the market are USDT and USDC, so I continue to expect an increase in their capitalization.

I am not implying anything about the national debt of America. I am asking if Tether would post fake information about their assets that are backing USDT when they might be under strict regulatory inspection. They can have their domain seized if they are posting fake information. This is similar to the argument that Binance is not a safe exchange after CZ's imprisonment. I have argued that Binance is presently the safest exchange because the regulators' eyes are always on them.

Just in, Former president Trump openly attacked the Biden Administration's based on the policies it has been following against crypto and called for crypto fans to vote for him:

https://fxtwitter.com/WatcherGuru/status/1788373884418294072

This is such an interesting development. I would assume Trump has been following everything happening in crypto and to an extent had also been personally affected given he released NFT projects. I wonder if the Biden campaign will give in to respond given their up to now total disregard of crypto investors.

Trump has been attacking Biden in all types of issues concerning the Biden administration. However yes, the cryptospace appears to be becoming an important platform of argument where a candidate can either be pro or anti crypto. I wish Trump will not make himself look ignorant because crypto is a very complicated topic. One correct argument for you might be an incorrect argument for another.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 17, 2024, 03:28:18 AM
@Baofeng. I wish it will be Lomachencko vs. Shakur first and I also wish Shakur will win this and have a big name in his record. This will certainly cause the scammer Tank Davis to be very envious because all of the hype will go to Shakur. Tank's hype will be lower after fighting the boxer that we do not know name? Is it Steve Martin? Yes, I wish Martin will give a shocking performance and make it a split decision heheheh.

It could be a done deal, with Loma vs Shakur, but unfortunately Shakur is thinking of not re-signing his contract with Top Rank which is up to July 6. But Top Rank can still hostage Shakur, they can say to him sign with us again and we will guarantee a fight with Loma.

And that's why it might be Tank first if Shakur doesn't want to extend his contract with Bob Arum and Top Rank.

I think it will still be good for Loma's legacy to fight Tank Davis first. Will not change a thing and then if Shakur still wants a piece of Loma then maybe he will be next or Bob Arum skipping him totally.

There is also the vacant WBO championship that can be included for Shakur and Loma's next fight. This will certainly be very thrilling again for lightweight boxing. My only wish as a fan is King Ry can still make this weight and fight for the vacant lightweight WBO championship vs. someone with no name and be included in the list of the kings of lightweight hehehehe. However, it appears we will never witness this anymore after his victory vs. Haney.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: May 17, 2024, 02:50:10 AM
The thread was created on April 6, however, this is only 2 pages hehehe. This scammer Tank has not much fans. This implies that it was Ryan Garcia that brought more than 80% of the fans to watch his fight vs. Tank. I reckon if Tank does not begin showing knockouts before round 5, he might begin losing his fans. This is only my speculation, everyone can argue and disagree but the number of pages of this thread proves what I said heheheh.

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new type of shills similar to ICO scammers, this is called Key Opinion Leaders on: May 17, 2024, 12:47:00 AM
The excitement of the bull season with its hyped terms accompanies the influencers Smiley this game will continue until the greed and ignorance of the newbies, but the process is the same time brings access but in an unhealthy way.

I also know some people who have gone into hiding from the old cycles and have not shown any signs of returning (maybe captured, killed, or enjoyed....) and in the next time perhaps other new forms will continue to be distributed. In general, even influencers are willing to create plays to deceive trust, and with the current stage of social media development, there is always an organizational system that helps someone become an influencer fame + some AI tools make them seen as a financial expert actor.

This is a cat and mouse game where we should know who is scamming who hehehe. I reckon that on the finish line of the bull market, there will be more skeptical people than there was during 2022. On the ICO hype, we knew that their creators were the scammers, however, on these influencers and KOLs, they are pretending go be a community member who brings everyone the correct information heheeh. They are a different type of scammer.

Can anyone share which projects and which are the key opinion leaders they are using? These influencers are very active in Telegram, I reckon. There are other projects that have secret channels where they plan their activities.

34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 16, 2024, 04:36:17 AM
I think Haney will be able to regain himself here. I don't see his opponent to be dangerous to be honest because he has a low KO rate.

based on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/578364... out of 42 wins, he only have 15 KO, and he has 3 losses already. So I believe this fighter is not really a threat to Haney, this might look like a tune up fight for Haney to get back in the game, but he is not the same fighter anymore as he was already beaten by Ryan Garcia.

I agree that Martin is not a threat Devin Haney if we consider his knockout ratio but this is the boxer that gave Teofimo Lopez a hard time when the latter move up to this division. I hope though that Martin could duplicate his performance when he fought Lopez so that we can see a competitive fight because if not then this could be a sort of a tune-up fight for Haney which he badly needed by now after that humiliation he suffered against Ryan Garcia.

Hehehe this will certainly be considered a tune up fight by the team of Devin Haney. However, this Sandor might be difficult. Haney has to prove that he is not a pillow hands. King Ry was not afraid to take a punch in his face to give a punch on Haney to get the knockdowns. I reckon Sandor might use a similar tactic. Let Haney come and Sandor will counter punch.

Also, is this not very much premature for Devin Haney to fight after the very embarrassing loss against King Ry? He should get 1 year vacation before returning. His father Bill should stop him.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / A new type of shills similar to ICO scammers, this is called Key Opinion Leaders on: May 16, 2024, 03:23:31 AM
Everyone should be careful of this new type of scammer. Bitboy is mentioned in this article, however, everyone knows already that he is a shill. Everyone will avoid him. However, there are influencers in social media that are less clear to be doing a type of scam where they create a community of followers. These projects are funded by venture capitalists and they will be listed in exchanges with only a small portion of the total supply is circulating but the fully diluted valuation is very high with more than $5 billion. These projects follow the distribution model of Sam Bankman Fried's projects before FTX's collapse hehehe.

Small minnows should avoid these because venture capitalists and these key opinion leaders will only dump on your faces with your mouths open. They have bought their tokens through private funding rounds and they will be in profit when these tokens are listed.

Unlike paid shills of yore, "key opinion leaders" invest in the projects they promote on social media. In return for buzz, they can sell tokens sooner than other investors.

Crypto founders have long relied on Silicon Valley-style investors to fund their risky ideas. But in the last few months, venture capitalists and angel investors have given way to a new breed of influencer-turned-investor: the KOL.

Key Opinion Leaders flood the social media feeds of global crypto users with "alpha" about which protocols to watch and invest in. They can be as pseudonymous as a cartoon penguin or as recognizable as a YouTube personality.

A CoinDesk review of KOL fundraising found a budding economy of influencers who write checks for crypto startups and then promote them to thousands of retail traders on YouTube and X (formerly Twitter). Projects are betting KOLs will help attract users and, critically, eager buyers before they issue their tokens.

KOL rounds are a twist on the paid shills of earlier crypto cycles, those high-flying influencers like Ben Armstrong (aka BitBoy Crypto) who charged tens of thousands of dollars to promote tokens to massive online audiences. Instead of billing projects for their services, KOLs now put money in them – albeit on very generous terms. Those terms include discounted valuations and options to sell tokens sooner than other private investors are allowed to.

36  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitcoinETF approval will possibly cause much bigger jump than most people expect on: May 16, 2024, 02:37:40 AM
Does everyone remember the news on the anticrypto CEO of Vanguard that retired? There were very smart people in the forum that argued that it was not a retirement. They speculated that he was being replaced by a more procrypto CEO hehehehe and it appears that it has recently occurred. Vanguard hired former Blackrock executive Salim Ramji as their new CEO. He was the executive who was in charge of of the department for Blackrock's spot ETF for bitcoin.

Vanguard Group Inc. named Salim Ramji as its next chief executive officer, tapping the BlackRock Inc. veteran to succeed Tim Buckley and become the first outsider to lead the firm famed for revolutionizing investing with the index fund.

37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 15, 2024, 01:52:45 AM
Who will be next for him? I reckon this should be versus Shakur for the IBF, WBC championships and the vacant WBO championship. The winner of this will fight the scammer Tank Davis hehehe.

Shakur is what Bob Arum did promise Loma if he win so we might see this matchup at the end of this year if Loma won't consider retiring from boxing as he floats that idea because he said that he is now old for boxing. Against the young Shakur, Loma will be having a hard time as the former is a counter puncher and also technical but lack the experience, the biggest disadvantage of Shakur.

At this stage of his career, i don't think that Loma could unify all the four belts because he is running out of time.

However, Lomachenko should also not be underestimated. I have watched Loma vs. Haney again and it appears like the correct decision for this fight might be a split decision that can go to either to Haney or Loma's victory. I might be biased after Haney's loss to King Ry and King Ry's exposure that Haney might only be an overestimated boxer, however, watch Loma and Haney again and correct me if I am wrong.

The best way to assess the fight is to score while watching it mate. But if you did, what's your score on that fight? It's hard to say that it is correct to call it a split decision because if you had it very close in your scorecard then it could be a close unanimous, split, majority in the judges cards. Two judges had it 7-5 while the other had it surprisingly 8-4.

I stopped watching the second half and did not watch the replay. Upon seeing the per round punch stats, it's a draw for me. Anyways, both are now in different divisions and Loma might retire anytime while Haney is still young.

I am not quite certain. It might be 7-5 that can go to Loma or Haney. Similar to what I have mentioned in my reply that you have quoted, it appears that it might be a split decision with the victory that can also go to Lomachenko.

@Baofeng. Can you share an article or a news update? It was mentioned by @bisdak40 that Bob Arum said it will be Shakur.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Bitcoin spot ETF, there is Ethereum spot ETF on: May 15, 2024, 12:21:56 AM
@siniminomorocomunisakito, @GreatArkansas. On the speculation if the spot ETF for Ethereum will be approved or not, the people does not appear to be very optimistic if we observe the market price for Ethereum. If everyone was very much bullish for the ETF there certainly will be a pump. There is presently no hype for this. I predict that if approved, it might have 2 or 3 months before we witness a pump because of the twaps from the investors from traditional finance. It will not be similar to the occurrences after the spot ETF for bitcoin.

Agreed, however this Sandor should not be underestimated. If everyone speculates that this will be very easy for Devin Haney very much similar on how everyone speculated that Ryan Garcia was going to be easy for Haney, I reckon research Sandor's fights. He has a majority decision victory against Mikey Garcia and a split decision loss against Teofimo Lopez. This implies that he is trying is most hardest against the best boxers. If the odds for this is again similar to King Ry vs. Haney, the correct bet might be on Sandor.

There are 3 people on Sandor victory by decision. I reckon these are me, @bisdak and @Boafeng hehehehehee.
