421  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: December 31, 2023, 07:33:22 AM
In India, it appears there might be no regulations incoming for the cryptospace hehehe. They will ban the websites of 9 of the most popular exchanges which will include Kucoin, Binance and Kraken. What I am afraid of is this might also start spreading in other jurisdictions and they also will start banning the websites of these exchanges from being accessed in their countries.

According to recent reports, India is set to ban 9 crypto exchange URLs in a move from the country’s Financial Intelligence Unit. indeed, they have called for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to block the URLs for exchanges like Binance, Kraken, and others.

The move will also affect Huobi, Kucoin, Bittrex, Gate.io, Bitstamp, Bitfinix, and MEXC Global. Moreover, a press release revealed that the ban occurred after these virtual asset service providers (VASP) were not in compliance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

422  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will SEC delay on Spot ETF approval do to Bitcoin's price? on: December 31, 2023, 06:41:48 AM
This contrarian prediction by Cryptoquant is causing the contrarian me to become the skeptical me and it is causing me to speculate that bitcoin will not dump below $40k hehehehe.

Happy new year! Uncle Gary might postpone again until March and this might have no negative effect on the market.

Bitcoin (BTC) is expected to correct to as low as $32,000 next month following the potential approval of a spot ETF, according to data provider CryptoQuant.

In what is being described as a potential "sell the news" event, CryptoQuant said in a note to CoinDesk that trader's unrealized profits are currently lingering at a level that historically precedes a correction.

423  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: December 31, 2023, 06:11:35 AM
News update.

It appears that there is that there is a cover up. The department of justice has dropped the cases against Sam Bankman Fried on political campaign financing violations. It was also mentioned that they have dropped the Chinese bribery case.

I reckon that what the community should begin speculating on is to ask who received and accepted the funds than came from Sam Bankman Fried.

The Department of Justice announced Friday that they will not pursue a second trial against Sam Bankman-Fried.

The disgraced founder of FTX was found guilty in November of 7 charges related to fraud and conspiracy.

However, charges related to violating campaign finance laws were dropped in July. A few of these included conspiracy to make unlawful campaign contributions and conspiracy to bribe foreign officials.

Keep in mind that SBF was one of the top Democrat donors. He used money stolen from FTX customers to donate $100 million during the 2022 midterms, and gave tens of millions to dark money groups

424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon said he would close Bitcoin down if he was in government on: December 31, 2023, 05:43:28 AM
After telling the grandma Elizabeth Warren and the other legislators in the senate that he if he was the government he would close bitcoin down, JPMorgan is named an authorized participant for Blackrock's ETF.

This might be headshaking for some of you, however, this has shown who the real rulers are.

Wall Street titan BlackRock today amended its much talked about Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) filing and named banking giant JP Morgan Securities and trading firm Jane Street as authorized participants.

In the world of ETFs, an authorized participant is the organization that works with the issuer of the fund to create and redeem shares of a fund so that an investor can cash out.

This, according to experts, is likely the last step of the application process for the long-awaited product after various reviews and amendments.

425  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKX to delist privacy coins on: December 30, 2023, 03:21:13 AM
Thoughts?

This is a very dangerous precedent because similar to tainted bitcoins, the regulators can forbid all acceptance of Dash, Zcash and Monero transactions in exchanges. Also, on the argument of decentralized exchanges, they can also have their domains seized by the government.

I reckon that developers of anonymous coins and decentralized exchanges that will not delist them should become more anonymous and be more careful with their digital footprint.

@JeromeTash. If they will remain defiant, they will have their domains seized.

@nutildah. On the Texans. How bad was Stroud's concussion and what type of performance will he give after this? It might be safer to give 1 point and bet on -3?

My game of the week will be the Cowboys vs. the Lions. This will be the last game of the Cowboys in their home stadium. The home team might win but I am not quite certain if they can win -6 against the spread, however.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 29, 2023, 06:39:18 AM
According to DAZN boxing news, there are 3 opponents who might be next to challenge Inoue. I am very much disappointed that John Riel Casimero is not one of these. However, among these 3 boxers
mentioned, I am quite certain that it will be Luis Nery because is the mandatory challenger for WBC. I only wish that the fight will be in Las Vegas. Inoue's last performance in Las Vegas was against Damariñas on June 19, 2021.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev

Uzbekistan's Murodjon Akhmadaliev enjoyed a ringside seat at the Ariake Arena to watch Inoue's win. The 29-year-old sports a 12-1 record, and he last fought on December 16. Murodjon defeated Kevin Gonzalez that night. Murodjon's southpaw style could match up well with Inoue. Matchroom Boxing's X account has already teased a potential match. Murodjon is a top-ten-ranked fighter by the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC. He is also fourth in Ring magazine's rankings.

Sam Goodman

Australia's undefeated Sam Goodman could be another name to challenge Inoue in 2024. Goodman boasts a perfect 17-0 record and defeated Zhong Liu in his last fight. The WBO and IBF rank Goodman 1st at super bantamweight.

Luis Nery

Rumours emanating from Japan suggest that Inoue's next fight will be in May against Mexico's Luis Nery. Nery is the WBC's mandatory challenger, and his 35-1 record features plenty of big names. Nery's last fight was in July, and he stopped Froilan Saludar in the second round.

428  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will SEC delay on Spot ETF approval do to Bitcoin's price? on: December 29, 2023, 05:07:46 AM
And we can say by now that there is no effect on CZ related news? On the contrary we almost hit $45k if I'm not mistaken in the last leg up that we had this year. Prices though decline and we are now at the $42k'ish.

But we can say that investors are now intelligent to not get affected by this kind of news.

On the contrary, we could think ahead that a approval might be imminent at the start of the year?

Now many investors are smart and describe this incident as just an illustration of regulatory enforcement efforts that can increase public interest in crypto assets and nothing more. If I read and read in several mainstream media, many are reporting the schedule for the Bitcoin ETF application on January 10 2024. However, in my view, if all the processes run smoothly, then the Bitcoin ETF could soon be launched on the United States stock exchange and later the Bitcoin ETF will be an indicator. major integration of Bitcoin into mainstream financial structures.

This upcoming January 10th is another main event that will definitely raise the market again, whether the SEC delays the bitcoin spot ETF or not. Whether the rise will continue or not?

Questions that most people in the crypto space are looking forward to. And in the event of the delaying tactics that they often use, for sure there can be a breakout of the market to have a liquidation in a few weeks, which will be a movement in its market price value and then another cycle of the position in terms of price in the market.

We might have missed the next scheduled date for approval. Ark Invest is on January 10. Blackrock is on January 15. However, Hashdex and Franklin have their scheduled date on January 1. Was the dump that we have already witnessed the dump in anticipation for another postponement from uncle Gary?
429  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX is now solvent thanks to SOLANA on: December 29, 2023, 04:30:34 AM

In any case, it would have been good for CZ and Justin Sun to have combined their efforts in saving FTX just for the SOL held in FTX's treasury. It will be something similar to when a bigger bank takes over a smaller bank with a good portfolio of real estate assets used as collateral from nonperforming loans hehehe.
CZ tried to displace FTX because of its rapid growth and that it had become a competitor to him. He may have obtained information in one way or another about the financial situation of the platform, and then he decided to take advantage of that and deliver the final punch that brought down FTX. However, despite that, what happened was good to alert investors to stay away from leaving their money on exhanges.

I do not think that cryptocurrency platforms are similar to banks, as banks want long, sustainable growth, unlike cryptocurrency platforms, which are looking for hot money and quick profits.

I disagree. Sam and FTX was going down even if CZ did not dump the FTT from their treasury or not. Also, CZ would be happy in FTX's growth because Binance was a shareholder in the exchange. The decisions made by CZ were business decisions, none of them were personal.

Also, if Sam ran the exchange very well, there is nothing CZ can do to bankrupt the exchange. What he would be doing is hold on to FTT and the shares on FTX to see his investment grow hehe.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 29, 2023, 03:15:51 AM
@ChiBitCTy. There can be an argument that the Ravens has the best defensive team in the NFL for the 2024 season and also arguably the best quarterback for the regular season this year, however, considering the team as a whole, I reckon the 49ers is the better team.

In any case, what was the points odds for this Browns vs. Jets game? I am quite certain the oddsmakers had it under 41 points speculating that this game will be low scoring hehehe.
431  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX is now solvent thanks to SOLANA on: December 28, 2023, 03:23:43 AM
They can probably sell all the locked fund at a 30% discount right away or just wait it out, collecting the coupons and getting the funds unlocked every month which is what they chose to do so far.

They should liquidate all of the SOLANA and use it to pay the customers they robbed when they went down.

They might do this. According to bankruptcy laws, a company should liquidate all assets and settle all payables which I assume is where customer deposits are designated.

432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reports emerge suggesting Mt. Gox creditors are receiving repayments on: December 28, 2023, 02:32:10 AM
Happy to see the creditors get paid after waiting almost a decade, let's see if Mt.Gox will pay back all they owes.

My speculation: If Mt.Gox paid all they owes, I think this will give a good impression for people to trust more in centralized exchanges because they will think it's safer as the coins can be recovered than non custodial wallet where you lose your seed phrase, it's gone. Tongue

But it might also leave a good impression on everyone who are not into the cryptospace yet. This will certainly help open the road to a new bull market. I reckon if we think this pump presently happening on bitcoin and altcoins is the bull market, I am quite sure we are mistaken.

We have not yet witnessed the full effect of the approval for the ETFs, the halving, the new developments on altcoins and the entry of new investors hehehe.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder Vs Parker & Joshua Vs Wallin Boxing Mega Saudi card 23rd December on: December 28, 2023, 01:47:51 AM
So AJ who hinted an interest in fighting Wilder after his fight with Wallin. AJ might get it since Wilder after that humbling defeat to Parker started to talk once again. Wilder still wanted the AJ fight a go and was even saying that AJ might use the Parker victory as an excuse and pick another opponent.

Without a big Saudi offer, it won't be surprising if AJ offers Wilder a fight in the UK. It's still big and it's easy money if AJ stays disciplined the whole fight. But AJ being the most popular heavyweight right now could choose easier fights rather than the dangerous Hrgovic, Parker, and Usyk-Fury winner. Another good option is Ngannou and the 40-year-old WBO interim champ, Zhang Zhilei.

However, what would the fans like to pay for to watch and wintess with Joshua? We can be quite certain that it will not be Joshua vs. Wilder anymore after Wilder's loss against Parker. Also, if Joshua wants to keep earning a bigger purse and a possbility to challenge for the heavyweight championship again, I reckon he should certainly fight Zhang Zhilei. But only for money, I agree on Francis Ngannou. He is the best option.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 28, 2023, 12:26:19 AM

I am wishing for this to be John Riel Casimero hehehehe but I speculate that this will Luis Nery to prepare Inoue's entry for boxing in Las Vegas.

he can choose to fight Casimero first, in Japan, and if he wins again, he could proceed with his last fight in the division with Luis Nerry in Las Vegas. This Casimero fight has been long due, their trashtalking started when the fight was cancelled due to covid restrictions, but it didn't resume when everything was back to normal.

I also saw an interview from Casimero saying that Tapales knows he has no chance of winning after round one, so all he does is  just tighten his defense because that's the only way to survive longer. Casimero even mentioned that if he was there, he would be able to give Inoue a fight, he even beat one of the best bantamweight which was Tete in just 3 rounds, so he is the only Filipino who can beat Inoue.

So this is what I like Inoue vs Casimero, biggest fight next year.

Casimero was wrong, however. Marlon Tapales was trying to win the fight and had a better performance than expected. There was only 2 rounds where Tapales became more defensive. Those rounds was when he was using a philly shell and did not throw much punches. But for much of the fight Tapales tried to punch Inoue. It also appeared that Tapales could reach the decision until he was knocked out which was shocking because Tapales did not appear tired or weak.

In any case, do you know what would be better than fighting Casimero in Japan? It would be fighting Casimero in Las Vegas hehehehehe.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder Vs Parker & Joshua Vs Wallin Boxing Mega Saudi card 23rd December on: December 27, 2023, 05:09:49 AM
I only watched the replay for these fights and it appears that the Bronze Bomber has run out of luck hehehe. What Teddy Atlas calls the eraser is already very known and his opponents already knows how to defend against this. I hope in his age he can improve and really learn how box. Francis Ngannou would have put him on a stretcher if he fought Wilder.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 27, 2023, 04:34:29 AM
Tapales survived the first round, it was very slow, but we can see the speed and power of Inoue already.

Marlon is very cautious in the first round and I think he slip just one left counter, so I give the first round to Inoue obviously.

More movement in round 2, I think both are settling down, Tapales though slip. Just observed the feet.

Edit: Tapales down in round 4.

All Inoue show for now, hope it will last 8 rounds. Seems the punches of Tapales never hurt Inoue so I think in the third quarter, Inoue will throw all he got to knockout Tapales here.

Edit: round 10 KO win for Inoue, he was just too powerful for Tapales' defense. The consolation here is that i won my bet of over 7.5.
excited now about what's next for Inoue, will he move up again to the featherweight division and conquer the 130-pound category.

According to Inoue during his interview in the ring after the fight, super bantamweight will be his weight division for now. He also mentioned that there was a rumor he cannot confirm because the fight is still being negotiated. However, the rumors are his next opponent might be Luis Nery in Las Vegas. Another rumor is saying that it will be John Riel Casimero.

I am wishing for this to be John Riel Casimero hehehehe but I speculate that this will Luis Nery to prepare Inoue's entry for boxing in Las Vegas.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reports emerge suggesting Mt. Gox creditors are receiving repayments on: December 27, 2023, 04:10:08 AM
@larry_vw_1955. If the payments are in fiat then the trustee might be dumping bitcoin before he sends these repayments to the creditors?

It might be good to know how much of the repayments have been made because if repayment are 90% finished, this might be a signal to buy bitcoin again hehehe.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: December 27, 2023, 03:28:31 AM
Breaking news:

GRAYSCALE BITCOIN TRUST (BTC): BARRY E. SILBERT AND MARK MURPHY NOTIFIED OF THEIR RESIGNATION FROM BOARD OF GRAYSCALE INVESTMENTS - SEC FILING - RTRS

Still unclear the reason.
Not a good sign for me.

It appears someone is trying to terminate the hustlers and the clowns in the cryptospace before uncle Gary agrees on an approval on a spot ETF for bitcoin. I reckon Justin Sun might be the next person to be terminated. This terminator might be the Lex Luthor of the cryptospace and he is doing this with the help of his backer. The backer might be Larry Fink.

439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: December 26, 2023, 04:26:01 AM
@ralle14. Agreed and this game might decide who will be the regular season MVP similar to what I have already mentioned in the original NFL thread. This did not get much reaction from the fans there, however.

I reckon much of all the NFL fans want Brock Purdy or Christian McCaffery to be voted as MVP. If a Christmas miracle occurs and the 49ers win this game, there might be a chance but Purdy needs to be on the field.

9ers and Ravens wish you all a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. May the winner of this game become the regular season MVP.

The 1st half was very good for both of these teams! I did not quite expect the offense of the Ravens would give this much problems on the 49ers' defense. I thought this game would be low scoring and I was speculating for it to finish under 47 points. This now appears to be very doubtful.

I am certain this 2nd half will be very exciting for you there in the stadium and being a 49ers fan hehehe.
