News update. This is really 4 day old news hehe. However, it appears CZ did not only promote Kristen Hecht for her qualifications. She might have been promoted because of her connections within the American government. Kristen worked in the US department of treasury as a senior policy advisor from 2006 to 2014 under the Bush and the Obama administrations. Binance has appointed Kristen Hecht as its new deputy chief compliance and global money laundering reporting officer, a new role to oversee both areas as the exchange grapples with potential fraud charges from U.S. regulators, the company announced Thursday. Several top legal and compliance executives have left the exchange in recent weeks, reportedly because of the strain of dealing with multiple investigations into its practices, although Binance denies this is the case.
Hecht is a familiar face at Binance, having previously served as the global head of corporate compliance at the exchange for the past eight months, after working as the chief compliance officer at Meta’s crypto wallet project, Novi Financial, for less than two years. Earlier in her career, Hecht was a senior policy advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
In her new role, Hecht will primarily work on the company’s compliance program while also engaging with regulators, intergovernmental organizations and industry bodies, according to a press release. For money, basically, and prestige. The GDP of the USA is $23.32B, while that of Belgium mentioned by Babygun is $0.6B. There is a big difference. Leaving the US and leaving Coinbase as number 1 there doesn't seem like an interesting move from a competitive standpoint either. Other than that I guess they will have a legal team looking at possible future actions, and the SEC has had a setback in court recently that you echoed.It is always about the money; countries like Belgium or the Netherlands are so small and the market for crypto is pretty small also. A lot of people either don't know about crypto or think it is a scam. I also don't really know why the Belgium government is going after Binance but that's another discussion. Luckily I can still use Kraken without any problems and that has always been my nr 1 exchange. You might be right. It is easier to give up in jurisdictions that they do not really need and fight for the jurisdictions where much of their profits come from hehehe. Also, once all of their legal battles are won in these important jurisdictions, CZ might also begin fighting to capture those less important jurisdictions back again hehe. Well.. I am not sure whether I can agree with you 100%. Obviously Kennedy is more electable when compared to Biden. But then, the chances of Kennedy winning the Democrat nomination is near-zero. Other options such as Harris and Klobuchar are likely to lose against Trump by a bigger margin. Biden is always hailed as someone who is capable of attracting the moderate votes and it is claimed that his policies are more towards the center (although I disagree with that opinion). And from what I have seen in the recent opinion polls, Trump is leading the independent and moderate vote. I very much disagree that Robert Kennedy's nomination is near zero. The Democtratic party's primaries is 1 year from today. There is enough time for RFK and his campaign team to work and get more supporters behind him. Joe Biden might also be helping him by just being sleepy Joe Biden hehehehe. The American economy is suffering because of Bidenomics. Anyone can sprint till they run out of breath, more then 10 rounds is a marathon compared to a quick knock out type scenario & the average hot shot will be near jelly by then. I'd love to see a fight where quality of preparedness, defense, legwork wins for an underdog. However, the fight might not need 10 rounds hehehe. Now you should start asking the most important question.... How invested are the decision makers and the government in Bitcoin, if they single it out like that? Surely all Crypto currencies are the same... it is only the token and some of the "parameters" that are different, but it is mostly driven on the same principle.  They are either invested in Bitcoin or they have plans for Bitcoin in the future.... just mark my words. The SEC is just the tool.... there are higher powers behind them, controlling them like a puppet. The skeptical me would agree and it might be good to speculate on what cryptocoin these higher powers want to invest in next heheehe. I am quite certain we will also witness Blackrock, Fidelity and the other institutional investors do something similar to what Barry's Grayscale is doing where they will also have different altcoins included in their investment products hehe. Also, the smart bettors would only place their bets after each of the political parties have declared their nominees. Trump presently with those odds is certainly not a very good bet considering that he is also being indicted with various cases.
I hate to say this, but I can't find another alternative to Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. As far as Democrat nomination is concerned, there is minimal resistance from Kennedy. But Trump is not facing any opposition so far within the GOP. Obviously Ron DeSantis announced his candidature with much hype and fanfare, but he sank without any trace. Others like Vivek Ramaswamy are polling 1-2% of the primary vote. One thing is sure. 2024 will be one of the shittiest ever presidential elections in the history of the United States. This information might be incorrect, however, I remember that there was also a situation where Bitfinex partnered with Bitgo as a security solution and that it would have been impossible to steal the funds without both keys held by someone from Bitfinex and Bitgo to sign a transaction. There were speculations that the hack was an inside job but they were ignored by Bitfinex and the exchange's own users.

I have been bullish on the cryptospace recently, however, there is a rumor that CZ and Tether are fighting. I speculate when this person owns the biggest exchange, this person might have the capability to decide in what state of circumstances where Tether might be in 1 year. This might end with another big dump on our faces. I will collect more information and share updates in this thread. Ethereum, Uniswap, Sushiswap, Curve, Convex and many projects in DeFi issued a token but they never scammed the buyers. Is it right for Gary Gensler to crackdown on them because for the old holders of those coins to profit, new buyers must come in?

The skeptics of RFK should challenge him hehehe. It might be good for some people from the bitcoin community to ask Robert Kennedy for the transaction hash of each of those 2 BTC that were sent to each of his children. He should not be lying because it can easily be proven by using a blockchain explorer. However, if he is lying, he should pray that not one person would starting demanding for the transaction hash hehehe.
Doing that would make thins worse because RFK would easily deflect by saying it is a violation of privacy of his children and that is against bitcoin ethos and wouldn't provide anything. Then you wouldn't know if he is lying about this or having bought bitcoin in first place. However, doing that would also be his enemies' chance to call him a liar and the bitcoin community to call him a larper hehehehe. Also, someone should tell him that he bought the wrong cryptocoin if he wanted more anonymity and privacy.
