21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 28, 2024, 12:12:08 PM
^^ Ok, with that news it's official that Derrick James and Errol Spence has separated already. But it's just sad to here that it's not amicably as based on that lawsuit, Spence still owns James a lot of money or at least from the Crawford vs Spence fight.

And enter Ryan Garcia, he said that he wants to fight Errol Spence now, Lol. Its seems that Ryan is calling everyone now. But in any case, for Oscar this is a good story board, Ryan wanted to knockout Spence for his trainer, sort of revenge story.

Yes, that is great fight, if Ryan is moving up to 147 lbs and then wanted to test the former champion in Spence Jr, then sign the deal. For the lawsuit, it's big money that they are talking here and I agree that it's very bad to see how everything ends up with the two.

As per article, Derrick James has been with Spence since his Olympic days or at least at the start of his boxing career and guided him to become a great boxer and a world champion. However, it looks like Spence doesn't want his services no more and so James have to get back what he think deserves of him as a payment for being a coach or mentor for Spence for many years.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: April 28, 2024, 11:09:04 AM
One week before the fight weigh-in between the two,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XkpU3kmMVzg

And they are on target to make the weight based on the current weight they have, just over 170++ for both for of them right now. But if they drain themselves and took all the water in their body, easy 168 lbs.

So it's just a week from now, we will see if Jaime Munguia can pull the biggest upset for this year or Canelo not ready to past the torch to the young gun just yet.

Upsets do happen all the time in boxing. But in this match, I believe, Canelo can still pull this off. Either KO or UD. But hopefully, both are really prepared for this fight so we can see a toe-to-toe fight. This may lack drama and fuzz, but if they will give us an entertaining fight, people will talk. For now, the odds is surely favouring Canelo. But if you believe there will be an upset, you can place bet on Munguia and get good profits if ever he can beat Canelo.

The thing though from a boxing fans on why we think that maybe Canelo will be upset is, regardless of what we see on the Haney vs Garcia fight,

a. In his last fight against Charlo, his opponent is not a natural super middleweight, he is a 154 lbs who moves up in weight. So Canelo has all the advantage in that fight.
b. Against a supposedly easy fighter in John Ryder, Canelo was not able to knock him out for good. And this fight happens in Mexico, that's why there are many boxing pundits who says Canelo is declining already.
c. He refuses to fight Benavidez because we fans think that Canelo is afraid that he will lose that fight.
d. Munguia is young and motivate to beat his Canelo and become the next Mexican star.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 28, 2024, 10:29:02 AM
The Pelicans look like they’re cooked. They’ve got to be tired of seeing Zion sit on the sidelines at the end of every season. The Miami Heat don’t look far behind them either. The Boston Celtics are giving it to them right now. The main show for the day is getting ready to begin. Will Denver sweep the King once again on their way to a title?
Pelicans knew they were done when Zion got injured, it's not just the end of the season though. Guy is always injured. Miami screwed with Butler out and Denver will sweep Lebron and AD tonight. Maybe next year we see Lebron and Steph together.

5 minutes left in the game and looks like the Lakers will survive for a game 5. Up 15 gonna be hard for Denver to comeback from.

The Lakers were just on tonight. They shot 8% better from the field than the Nuggets did and that was enough to get them the win tonight. Deangelo Russell had a great game and so did everyone on the Lakers pretty much. I have my doubts whether or not they’ll be able to put up similar numbers next game, but for LeBron’s legacy they came through tonight.

They started hot again just like in game 2, but this time, they make it sure that they are going to held on that lead. Good to see the D'Lo was able to get over that last game performance with 0 points, as he comes back with a big game and make it sure that they are not going to be sweep by the Nuggets.

Lebron's legacy will be great if he can manage to bring the team to another win and at least force a game 6.

OKC too strong for the Pelicans, complete team, SGA again lead OKC but Josh Giddey put on a show with 21 points.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Post halving investing strategy. on: April 28, 2024, 07:33:07 AM
With the halving event come and gone,  we are now left to determine if the market now is going as predicted or not, with the reduction in mining rewards, which makes the supply of BTC low and demand high, investors can take advantages of this and adopt long positions and also invest in other altcoins,
After all the hypes leading to the previous halving event which drastically surge the price of Bitcoin at that time, investors are meant to invest before the halving and then sell after the demand, because demand Wil be high and supply will be low, which will aid the surge in price of BTC, thereby putting BTC in the bull direction, which will in turn affect other altcoins,
So in summary investing in BTC at this point in time should be our priority and other promising altcoins. And also taking Risk management strategies just incase the market becomes unfavourable.

Isn't it obvious though that no matter what cycle we are in, majority of the members here prioritized investing their money on Bitcoin and not on some promising altcoin. Definitely the demand will shoot off as we go, after the halving, predictions are 6 digits and there could be guesses that it could even reach $200k.

Not much of a difference I guess even if we are now in the post-halving. DCA, accumulate Bitcoin as much as you can HODL till next year. This strategy has been proven already, so it's just a rinse and repeat process for us. Anyhow, I don't have anything against those who invest on altcoin, it can even give them huge profits as compare to Bitcoin, but still though, they are greater risk for investors as compare to BTC.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 27, 2024, 09:01:08 PM
^ I don’t think the Nuggets will be giving the Lakers anything. I think they want another sweep over LeBron to send a message. This will be an interesting game to watch though. I don’t think the Lakers win, but the thing to watch will be DeAngelo Russell and what sort of effort he brings to the table after seemingly checking out of the last game.

Yes, it's better to sweep them and not give the Lakers a chance and coach Malone sending the message. For sure the memories of last year's playoff are fresh and things have been said between them last year and it's like trash talking between the two.

Nevertheless, the Nuggets again have the chance to sweep the Lakers and I don't know how the Lakers can come back here. Even if Russell scores in this game, I don't see much difference though, as the Nuggets is mentally built different, they have that championship DNA already, so another frustrating season for Lebron and it might end tonight.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: We need higher wages off course but goverment need to do one thing on: April 27, 2024, 08:35:32 PM
In USA 3000$ minimum Europe 300€-3500€ minimum wage i think UK there 4000$ minimum. Wage
But goverment need to regulate just
Rent prices , energy prices ,food prices.
So If you want to put food price up then you need to be approved by goverment only then you can go over price limit.
We need wages up but same time our regular costs need to be not go over limits.

So things we need goverment must keep prices check becouse the economy is playground and goverment duty is to be judge that everybody play fair game.

If you want the regulate everything by the government, then it's not going to be easy as this could mean that you have to give up your freedom, hence you will be under a authoritarian government. And if you are living in a country that you can go and free, then I think you should be thankful already that you are earning money for a job and not procrastinate.

Just to live in authoritarian country for a year, everything is regulated for you, food are subsidize and see how it goes. I don't understand why there are people who blame everything on their government though.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making the Most of $100 bankroll on: April 27, 2024, 08:20:55 PM
I have a friend who is new to sports betting and he asks -
If his bankroll is $100 and he has been told not to use more than 5% of his bankroll per bet, what strategy should he use on this type of bankroll? His question is should he place $5 each on 20 different bets? Or is there a better approach that can be suggested?

Right now, NBA could be one of the sports that you could advise your friend to bet, why? NBA is on a playoff run, very much exciting as teams are giving everything they got per game as this is as series, best of 7 wins.

But I wouldn't go that approach to bet 20 different bets though, that's a lot. I will carefully choose 1 or 2 with my $100 bet.

Not sure though who advises him not to use more than 5%. But if I have that kind of bankroll, I will all bet it.
28  Economy / Gambling / Re: Airbet - 100% 1st Deposit Bonus; 125% 2nd Deposit Bonus; 150% 3rd Deposit 🚀 on: April 27, 2024, 09:10:26 AM
Doesn't make any difference though if the ANN thread is late or wait.

They've run a campaign and that is exposure already, and for sure there are gamblers that already created their account specially campaign participants before the launched of their ANN thread. And the UI and design of the casino is at par with what we are seeing in today's top casinos so it seems that they are really to competitive in this niche.

And for sports fans, they are coming up with their sports betting so I'm very interested on it and for sure there are a lot of sport bettors here so they could be also looking and waiting as airbet is one of the latest casinos that we have here.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 27, 2024, 08:45:16 AM
I agree with that. I was jealous of a friend for so many times because he successfully HODL'ed a huge chunk of Bitcoin in his wallet while I was selling on that point of time. I was too doubtful and I think many Bitcoin holders did and after a good bull runs the urgency to sell will be there and it's hard to not sell.
My friend though was a pure holder for a long time and now he is sitting somewhere in the globe after withdrawing some of his funds. Now, I am the one trying to do the same thing but he will never know how much it will be as I don't want him to feel the same way as I did. I don't seek revenge, I just want the same experience as he did.

Well I don't go to that same experience, no jealously at all. But I have thought that there could be a lot of holders, when you go and read the forum and that they make a lot of money doing that "simply" HODL mentally.

So I just keep quiet myself, and when we had that lockout in 2020, I started to do that, just HODL and buy during that period and I say that it's very hard in the beginning but I was able to accumulate Bitcoin that I never thought I would.

And I would tend to agree to be lowkey, although I have several talks with some of my friends as well in crypto (they don't have any account here), but I never disclose how much I have or how much I earn and profited during the following bull run.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 26, 2024, 01:18:04 PM
Maybe Austin Reaves is the only player that I think will remain with AD and Lebron. D'Lo 0 points in a must-win game is unacceptable unless he comes back in game 4 with a big offensive flow and help the team win.

True but it's too late for Lebron, they need another star player that is as good as Murray so Lebron and AD could continue doing their job. I don't know if the salary cap can still accomodate but if they really need to improve, they should trade DLO, actually they should have done that before the trade deadline, they could have a more reliable shooter now.

Yeah, he is already in his retirement age. Although we can't deny that he can still produce a very solid numbers but we've seen his impact, it's not as good as before. During his time, he lead the Cavaliers and Miami heat in the Finals, but this time, his team even struggled to be in the playoffs and looks like they are gonna exit again with a 0-4 score.  Waiting for the Lakers to improve takes time than just leaving the Lakers and play with a proven superstar, but we will know that next season, maybe.

Current situation is different since Lebron is old and he can't rely much on his teammates since they are inconsistent to produce good numbers which is needed to win their crucial games. Look what Russel did he score zero on their last game and that is huge loss for them since his team need him to contribute on scoring. Lakers have huge chance to win if they can able to sustain their energy and efficiency until 4th quarter but they didn't make it as it seems the Jokic,Murray,Porter and Gordon also the rest of Nuggets roster are more stronger than current Lakers line up this season. Maybe we can see lakers got sweep since so far there's no team recovers to get four straight win and advance on the next round.

I think it's not about Lebron's age, he can still play dunk the ball and run. It's more on his team mates in recent years that didn't bring him close to becoming a champion again. When they won their championship, there were great role players in their team.

Right now they have, but they are inconsistent like Russell who come up big in the last game and then 0 points today. Or Reaves 9 points in game 2 but now exploded for 22 points. On the other hand, the Nuggets are consistent all 4 of their starters are putting NBA caliber numbers and the game is played in full 4 quarters. The Lakers are only good in the first 3 quarters and then choke in the 4th and then you can see James frustrations.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Inflation and Bitcoin's Potential Impact on: April 26, 2024, 12:34:13 PM
In this era of inflation when the price of every commodity is skyrocketing and the value of our domestic currency investments is decreasing. Desperation covers us as the damage continues to mount. In this case Bitcoin is the only hope for small investors like us. DCAing allows small investors to accumulate bitcoins at weekly or monthly basis which is a very simple process. Although I am a newbie investor here, the bitcoin price chart of the past years excites me. I'm more optimistic when I see that the impact of inflation does not affect the Bitcoin price as much.

What is your assessment and openion? How much of an impact does inflation have on Bitcoin?

You can to look at it, Bitcoin has limited supply isn't it, that alone shows how Bitcoin price is going to move, more demand, less supply=prices go up, basic economic law. And with that it means that as a commodity, it is being look at a hedge against the inflation because of how Satoshi design it.

So if there is a impact, it is that people should invest or put their wealth on Bitcoin easy as that. They can fight that inflation as prices of Bitcoin are going up every 4 years, new all time high are set and so our money are not only safe guarded, but multiplying because of how it is design.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Israil Madrimov vs Terrence Crawford on: April 26, 2024, 08:11:32 AM
It's not uncommon for promoters to support or hype their fighters and angle the narrative in their favor to make the fights more interesting, it’s part of the business. He can be a bit biased towards his fighters, but he does bring up some good points. The size difference is significant, and we haven't seen Crawford at 154 before. Madrimov's power is no joke either.

I do agree, but as boxing fans, we haven't heard of Madrimov, although as per Eddie Hearn he had a fight in Saudi and it's impressive. But common, if he is that hype we have heard his name at 154 lbs already. What size difference? Crawford might be walking around 154 lbs off season so there is no problem with the weight and the power here. You can said the same with Errol Spence power, it's no joke but Crawford knock him out.

Crawford's experience and technical skills are undeniable, but age and weight class can be factors. It'll be interesting to see how his speed and power translate at 154. He has consistently shown his skill and adaptability in the ring, but moving up in weight class always brings new challenges. Madrimov, being undefeated and holding the WBA title, is no pushover either.

For me that's not much any difference to be honest, As I have said, 154 lbs could be Crawford's comfortable weight, no need to drain himself to 147 lbs. While Madrimov still needs to go down to that weight and diet. But we will see, for sure though, Crawford will be the favorite even if he is the challenger here.
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading campaigns helps level up trading for traders on: April 26, 2024, 07:01:34 AM
Traders mostly enter the markets to make profits or accept losses. But these days, trading platforms incentivize traders with attractive rewards and events.
An example is this event which offers lucrative prizes like Louis Vuitton bags, Rolex watches, and even a Tesla car for achieving higher trading volumes.

So, even if traders incur losses, the prospect of earning substantial rewards can motivate them to keep trading. These kinds of campaigns make trading more engaging by providing tangible incentives beyond just monetary profits or losses. With the right strategy, dedicated traders can aim to accumulate trading volumes and secure coveted prizes while also making profits

But at the end of the day, still going to be a win-win situation for the exchanges themselves. Yeah, they can incentivized traders with this so called attractive rewards and others. However, this is just a business model that everyone can used, even gambling platforms have this kind of promotions to attract gamblers like for example, win a tesla cyber truck.

So it's all gimmick moving forward. Maybe you can justify it like that you will have gain experience from joining the competition. But at the end of the end, the winner will likely have spend a lot of money too and who knows, even if they won this so called big prices, they could still be in the negative side of the trades.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the least risky gambling game at online casinos? on: April 26, 2024, 06:13:55 AM
I've never bet on any online game other than fortune tiger (very little), I want to try something new, but I also want to learn about sports betting and stop just supporting my football team.

Don't worry, if I'm going to bet, it will be after having studied the subject a lot and listening to opinions and recommendations from each answer in this thread.

When I have time, I do research on casinos and sports betting, but what I find is too obvious and impractical, and when I ask my friends at work for advice, they only recommend slot games like fortune tiger.

Please recommend non-slot casino games that are fun and have interesting odds.

Only card games like Black Jack or Baccarat that is non-slot games and the odds are that good, at least <50% that you can win in every hand. But for the rest, you obviously know that in slots, it's based on luck.

Or games like crash and roulette and dice are very entertaining, but the odds are pretty much stack against you.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin way forward - Towards $100k or $50k on: April 23, 2024, 12:16:30 PM
Of course, price corrections are inevitable. And because of that, it would still be possible to see bitcoin price dips into $50k again. However, upon seeing the market price movement and stay longer in $65k-$70k price duration, I really think that we are currently heading into a higher price. Although we won’t be seeing immediate price increase as of this moment, but I believe this will happen soon, because this is what I observed from those past halvings for bitcoin.
Obviously when it comes to bitcoin no scenario can be discarded, but the chances of bitcoin going below 50k at the moment do not seem to be that high, after all the price of bitcoin still remains close to its ATH, meaning that investors as a whole still think that bitcoin is likely to challenge that ATH soon, which is why they are holding their coins and they are not willing to sell them, since in their minds it will be a mistake to sell bitcoin now, when they could do so for a much higher price during the next months.

So far, the price is steady at $66k after the halving. And so I would say that we should just be optimistic that after the halving, we will not see $50k or lower. There are still the war behind that could potentially affect the price. But who knows, when we hit the bull run, it's hard to stop and so with that, maybe next month and moving forward, $70k and then at the end of the year we might be close to that 6 digits that we all have been speculating since the start of the bull run.

Patience is key and we need to compose our selves in the next coming months.

On the other hand, if we can accumulate Bitcoin the better. And not just be concern whether $50k or $100k is going to happen this year.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 22, 2024, 11:54:49 AM
Those with home court advantage won the first matches. However, I think this will change in the second matches. Let's see which series will come to 1-1. Top teams like the Celtics and Nuggets can sweep their opponents. But we will see the competition in other matchups. For example, I wonder how the Mavs will respond to the first game. Doncic and Kyrie were a good duo, but they lost to Clippers without Kawhi. They need to show a reaction in the second match. It's very difficult to come back the series after it's 2-0.

Even without Kawhi, They still have Harden and PG which is still on their prime that can replace Kawhi in terms of aggression. Clippers have a very good advantage when it comes to their center since Zubac dominates the rebound compared to Mavs center which doesn’t contribute anything in both offense and defense.

They have one of the most underrated center though in the league, but he didn't have enough minutes in the game and that's why Zubac dominated. Luka is going to adjust in this game 2 for sure, I'm seeing him erupted for a double double.

Mavs have no problem on scoring, they are just dominated by defense especially rebounds for a second chance attempt to score. They will have a big problem if ever Kawhi will play on this series.

They have in game 1, only 3 players scored in double digits and it was Luka and Kyrie 2/3 of the scoring on the Mavs. So there are no contribution whatsoever from their bench like Jones Jr, Exxum and Time Hardaway.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 22, 2024, 11:24:43 AM
..
I thought the agreement after the missed weight cut was the title to be vacated if Haney lost?

There is no agreement needed because it should be automatically declared vacant as a general rule in boxing. Another disgraceful decision by the corrupt WBC. It is too unfair to the other fighters that worked hard to improve their ratings for a chance of getting a title fight. The WBC can just tell both Garcia and Haney to rematch for the vacant belt.

Although it seems like Ryan is not interested at 140 anymore. At the moment, it is Sandor Martin that is ranked 1st in the WBC ranking and he can fight Haney for the vacant belt if Ryan won't drop to 140.

Probably it will be good for Haney will fight Sandor Martin, or at least if Martin is the mandatory, then I will say that it could be an easy fight for him. At least it's less risk and most likely a fight that he will get his confidence back after humbling lost he got from Ryan Garcia.

For Ryan he could go as high as 147 lbs if he can't make 140 lbs. And his height is about that weight class, at 5'9. But he mentioned Fundora at 154 lbs and maybe a catch weight as Oscar says. And it also ends the debate on us or someone comparing Floyd and Devin Haney.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Runes will be worthless. Don't waste your precious BTC on huge fees. on: April 22, 2024, 10:46:55 AM
why di they needs runes, when BTC itself is limited to 21 Million

every BTC that you own is rare

It's because the developer find a loophole in the code, put pressure to the core dev or divided them.

In any case, I think Bitcoin enthusiasts knows that BRC20 and Runes are sure worthless, it's just another hype, and sooner or later those who are paying insanely fees like the one paid around $40k just to get his inscription at block 840,000 will regret spending that big money. It could literally buy some expensive stuff but he/she chooses to spend it to something that could be worth nothing at all in the future.

Fees are actually going back to normal gradually. As for now a majority of persons have paused and transaction till fees become economical once again. Likewise most gamblers either paused funding their gambling wallet with Bitcoins or made use of other networks to deposit like USDT or even Tron. Gamblers that are still able to stake this period are those who already had some funds in their gambling wallet or recently funded their gambling wallet before the recent Bitcoin fee increase.
I that alternatively most gamblers are making used of other coins and tokens accepted by their online casinos to fund their gambling wallets instead of making use of Bitcoin during this period of high fees.

Nah, fees are still going up, and it really depends on the timezones, sometimes I will see that the fees are going down to like 90 sat/vB. But after several hours, with no pump in the price, it will go back to 200's sat/vB. So no Bitcoin deposit for now, just the fees alone will eat up our money for gambling. So either uses USDT or other altcoins that is fast and quick, or totally stop gambling which is very hard to do. Or maybe there are gamblers here who might think of the alternative fiat platform just to stay away from the Bitcoin high fees for now.
