8861  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 04, 2016, 09:19:11 AM
If you're stupid enough to keep your coins on an illegal exchange, then you deserve to have your coin's stolen. This was probably a good thing.
I don't think when people who leave 120K on an exchange like bitfinex are stupid and not smarter than any of us. There are always reasons people have money on them, so actively trade or trade against new players who might have been more active on those exchanges. Some do not follow social media or forums religiously and aren't aware of the hacks and scams that have happened in the past.

120 k is a large amount of money. I think they should put the money in a cold wallet so it is not easy to access.

For the price performance so far after the hard fork, it seems there are new money coming to absorb the dump.
8863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: July 07, 2016, 08:00:09 AM
i believe only based on number transactions you identify the  usage of the bitcoin .number of bitcoin accounts , number of bitcoin address and mainly number of transaction will be helpful to estimate usage of bitcoin and so number of bitcoin users.

The number of the users has increased a lot recently. The block sizes are mostly over 990kB for the last few months.
8864  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $410 on: July 06, 2016, 07:13:10 PM
Welkom back to 410? is the price of the bitcoin dropped that low that cant be true for sure. The price of the bitcoin yesterday standing
on 634 so i think you are way to early becausse i think after this he will rise much that is what i know.

The OP was created in January. At that time, the $410 is a reasonable. Now it should be welcome to $800.

True, wasn't it for the fact that the price is very volatile. Right now it would good to see 700 again. Although I doubt i see it before halving.
The only thing that can do this is either brexit or china.

I'm not sure from where is so many specialists of price prediction, but for me dump even to $400 is still possible.
Don't feel confident, everything can change from hour to hour. Bitcoin is only experiment ..Wink

do you mean the price will go back to $400? I think it is not possible unless the SegWit has some problems.

The SegWit is being tested in the testnet. It has been tested for several months. It could be on the mainent soon.
8865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2016, 02:15:54 PM
i think aproximately it ranging from up to 1.5M u its only up to 2M
im not exactly sure about it,its only a guess Wink

I think it is between 200,000 to 500,000 users. We have about 800,000 users account here, but I think we just have about 100,000 unique users.

The Ethereum price is going up at the moment, even without any good news. What is behind the recent rise?
8867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: May 27, 2016, 07:08:01 AM
I will build 6x390 with the undervoltage is under clock. That is more efficient that the 6x380, but more expensive.
Yes definitively more efficient but I was looking for info about of 6 x 380 VS 5 X 390.
Was wondering Hash Rate/ Power Supply Sizes etc..

Is it  380 x 6 = 20 x 6= 120 MH/s and 1300 Watt PS
and  390 x 5 = 30 x 5= 150 MH/s  and Huh   Watt PS

Just trying to stay away from building with two power supplies.

If you undervolt the R9 390 to -200 mV, it will consume about 160W at 27 MH/s. So for 6, it is 960W, plus system, it is about 1060W. But you can undervolt less, to say -100 mV, it is 230W at 30.5 MH/s.

Small the drop in the price of BTC today... Hopefully it's just a temporary drop, and I think the overall trend is going to be bullish for another few months Smiley

Quite big drop of the bitcoin price today. It is almost at the current bottom range. It makes people less confident.
8869  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $410 on: May 07, 2016, 04:16:35 PM
If the price goes high too fast, there will be big crash after. That happened in 2013 and caused three year bear market.
8870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: April 24, 2016, 06:34:15 PM
Ethereum Developer Vitalik Buterin Sold 25% Of His Coins. So a big chunk of overhang is cleared. The price might rise.
8871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: April 01, 2016, 02:47:39 PM
From the signature campaign, it is difficult to earn 1 bitcoin a year or 0.125 bitcoin a month, starting from newbie account.
8872  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The halving is coming. What's your next move? on: March 09, 2016, 08:30:00 PM
Sell some of my miners, take the "profit" and invest in Bitcoin itself.

I'm not running a huge farm, so I'm more than likely going to cut my losses prior to the Havlening. Won't sell off my miners until a few weeks after the Halving, just to see how much more difficult things get.

I have a feeling in last few weeks pevious gen will take a decent jump down.  Current gen... not sure on it unless something else better comes out.

I would not wait till last minute.  I sold mine a bit back on last gen, and invested in coins.  So far I did much better then I would have mining older gear (I have normal not cheap electricity)

I think the current 14 or 16 nm miners are already out. They are being "tested" by the manufacturers to mine a lot of coins.

earning bitcoin in signature campaign is easier,,, you will earn more than 1 bitcoin in year with  a member rank account, but if you are a full member or above, then you will earn 1 bitcoin in less than a year...  Smiley

The payment for the member account is too low. It is better to buy a full account or higher and will earn more.

Create your own coin with small premine. Roll Eyes

it does not work anymore, but it was good in 2013-2014 to have easy btc

now everything with premine/instamine, is as good as dead, 2 seconds after the launch

I think it's still work if you have much money for creating a new coin. I don't know about what is premine and how to make your own coin, but i think there is a chance to success for creating a new coin.

maybe but it's too slim, you need a revolutionary coin, something that is different from all the other

you can't simply copy past the best one, and pretend to be successful

The only successful copy and paste coins are the litecoin and Dogecoin. But I am not sure how long they will last. Ethereum is already higher than litcoin.
