Yep. bullet proofs on the testnet already Sounds to me as though both are progressing well thus far. To the best of my knowledge (admittedly not the best) both are likely to be in the next protocol upgrade, barring catastrophic testing issues. It feels like a few weeks ago that I first heard about Bullet Proofs. Now they are likely weeks from release. The Monero Team is Fast. Spaceship Fast. Never thought I'd say that Slow down there buddy. The release for the March HF code is scheduled for mid Jan. so that does not give much time for testing BulletProofs. At the dev meeting 2 weeks ago there was no consensus as to when BPs would be released. I imagine they are keeping an open mind but my guess is it will probably not make it. I must say that more people are involved in development these days so things do move faster but nothing will be released unless it is thoroughly tested and reviewed. Like everyone I hope it makes it. It is a rather easy replacement to our current range proofs but it is new tech. It would be the first implementation where money is involved so.............. Multisig has been tested and is ready for the March HF. Being a wallet change it actually doesn't need a HF. It is already on master and will be there and ready to use in the Jan release. If BPs are ready for the Jan code they will not be used until March as they do need a HF.

Not big enough for the Mexican drug cartels, they prefer Wells Fargo and HSBC I gotta say I just can't remember seeing any bankers getting perp walked? I guess it's always been a mystery how all the other illegal money got moved. They only pay fines, rather large ones

Talking my book...
I have chosen .0203-.0206 as a supplemental entry point for a significant addition to my meager above water stash.
I reveal that here for posterity... for mockery or gloating... hard to say which.

No disrespect to the man but if you are gonna follow Tone Vays for trading advice you may as well throw darts at a board. Monero is a tough coin to trade but has rewarded long term holders no reason to expect that will not continue. I think it will take a few more days for the Snowden effect to dissipate. We may see price under 0.02 doubt it would decline past 0.016.
Thats no Snowden effect... look at the overall market... everything is in the same shitbucket The Bitcoin hard fork uncertainty is weighing on the market. I expect stormy waters until it resolves. Afterwards, I'm bullish. 1st) yes hodl, all else said is meh 2nd) ofc, just look. well I guess many aren't looking or are pretending not to 3rd) yes like last fork but how many forks are in the near term, 1 or 2?

Well a FFS was just funded for a person that has been giving presentations all throughout Europe. BTW this was the 3rd FFS that was funded all for relatively small amounts.
There is quite a bit going on in Monero but you won't know about it if you are only on bct
So where can we get a list of these places? AFA reddit goes I just cannot follow the conversations there with the posts all jumbled up. XMR started here and the main thread should be updated with all these developments you speak of. dEBRUYNE does a great job of dropping things like software updates and crowdfunding requests but the "quite a bit going on" should at least be linked in the main thread. My critique may or may not be deserved in this case. Not everybody has the time and or motivation to keep up on all the news. As you note, dEBRUYNE does and excellent job at providing relevant info and links. Just go to the places he is at From there you can end up where all the info is, as if it was all connected by a web. Some like yourself will not or don't like to go to certain places (maybe reddit) Links? I only have a few hundred pages and sites linked in my Monero favorites folder. https://i.imgur.com/6AaXWZZ.png << most people still think btc is anonymous, a poll that just concluded http://ibb.co/b8XaEQ << I guess they don't look past the headlines at least Monero is #2 for whatever that poll is truly worth A very good site that tries to collect info and links >> https://www.monero.how/a very webby site ^^ EDIT: now idea why that site is not being directly linked

Is being the "face of Monero" a responsibility he asked for, or is it one you're assigning to him?
Inadvertently by his own posts and shenanigans, yes, he is currently the only "Face of monero" that I know of? & as the lead dev, should he not be? Edit - Do you see anyone else giving presentations on Monero to blockchain conferences? Point made, thank you. ... If I go around giving presentations, will that suddenly make me the "face of monero?" Am I then immediately obligated to wear suits? I just want to know when the suits become mandatory I am not talking shit about "suits" I was simply addressing the fact that NOBODY else is fronting Monero in real life, that was all. You can twist it how you want, but whatever.. Nobody else is doing presentations or anything, so yeah, that does make him the Face of Monero for now... Let's hope that changes - and Sure, by all means, go present.. wear whatever the fuck ya want, but at least look professional. That's the point !!! 5) You are a shop owner, and have registered a Monero address with the IRS as your official retailer address. You use this address for receiving payments from all of your customers. At the end of the year, the tax man uses the view key you provided them with to check how much you received, so that you pay the appropriate taxes....
Good stuff, but seriously, the IRS using your viewkey? The IRS forms are ancient, they have nothing for that sort of thing, so how will that ever work in this day and age? I understand it and agree, but I don't see the IRS actually giving any shits about that kind of thing. It's hard enough to claim BTC on tax forms, let alone any other crypto! Monero is doing pretty well. Great to see ongoing developement.
Monero is so undervalued it's crazy. I'd still buy more if I could. I suppose it's likely the IRS will barely have Bitcoin on their radar, never mind Monero, but I was simply pointing out to chilly2k the fact that if the day comes when people are using Monero, they can prove their income and pay relevant taxes with the use of a viewkey. The IRS will need to figure out crypto soon enough. Guys don't kid yourself, btc is already on their radar. They have people dedicated to it

Someone market bought XMR worth around 2 million US dollar in just a second. massive buy to enter the market as quickly as possible on the same day one of the guys running BTC-E who was possibly involved in the hack of Mt Gox gets arrested. Things that make you go hmmmm. Yeahhhhh ... I'm looking at zCash, zCoin & Dash. Surprised he's not buying them all up if he's in a huge rush. He might be in a rush but I don't think he wants to be on dash's rich list He chose the best When I posted this I didn't have access to the following from the Electric Coin Company aka Zcash, nothin like a centralized company so people can knock on the door. https://twitter.com/zooko/status/863202798883577856 "And by the way, I think we can successfully make Zcash too traceable for criminals like WannaCry, but still completely private & fungible. …" 6:22 PM - 12 May 2017 So why didn't he use zcash which was developed with the help of the DOD amongst others?
