The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Weird question, as we sit at 495 @ Poloniex, and considerably higher at others...

I also look at xmr/usdt ratio. So I see 460 and not 495 like it's xmr/btc ratio

@explorer is there anyway to find out what is going on at bithumb and why XMR/KRW always trade at such a premium? Are there any simple answer to this, or is it much more complex? Huh How hard is it for me to sell 1000XMR on bithumb, send USDT to bittrex, and buy XMR there? Thanks for any response in advance

And I have a colleague from south Korea, who could feasibly help me translate something. I'm also interested.

IMO Koreans are just crazy gamblers, punting on anything that moves.  As yet, I've not come across any, let alone a good explanation.  Being kind of a closed market, arbitrage is very difficult.  If you can figure it out, you will profit.  Be first.

USDT is rarely valued at $1 exactly, so it is a poor measure.  Also Poloniex XMR tether volume is ~10% of the BTC market (which I trade, ergo my measure for price).

I see a lot of talk about a major correction and fully expect to see pull backs but we are in a period of exponential growth and believe the retractions we see will recover far quicker than before. For example on Tuesday morning we hit a new all time high, then we had an ABC correction to around $317 but within 24 hours we are sitting higher than ever.

BTW. I maybe talking shit through lack of experience Smiley

I think the main correction index now is total market cap... 1 trillion is a psychological number

It seems for the first time Monero volume might go over $1 billion.   Right now we have $314,278,000 on Bithumb and $501,461,000 USD  on other exchanges.   Last high was $650m at Globee launch.

Not sure what is happening here but I certainly like it. Oh my glorious XMR. It is showing it's true dominance for privacy and finally cutting off those leashes.

A friend of mine always sells his monero at 0.020 and buys back at 0.016 (I guess many do this), he just told me that he sold a few days back. This has been working for a long time. It will be interesting to see if we will go back to those levels or if this is a permanent level increase. The last real level increase (in relation to BTC) was summer of '16.

Man, XMR's rallies are always followed by deep crashes.  Each bottom on the XMR/BTC chart is only a little higher than the last.
Just chillax, Monero.
