21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you think is the right Name to use? on: May 19, 2024, 01:27:35 PM
I am thinking about Bitcoinist = Bitcoin Enthusiast.

Quite far from the combination but sounds the same, right? It's a good topic but anything that you can call a Bitcoin guy will be recognized and isn't really a problem at all.

Bitcoiner, bitcoinist, bitcoin investor, or even a HODLER. They've got all the same meaning for us.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Hyperinflation - Will it lead Countries to Adopt Bitcoin? on: May 18, 2024, 11:45:24 AM
Argentina's government can mine Bitcoin if ever they want and it's not related to the hyperinflation that they're having because it is just another source or business that they're having.
If they do it, they will not be the first country which officially mine Bitcoin nationwide and at governmental scale. I can remember Bhutan, El Salvador are one of countries which have governmental Bitcoin mining activities recent years.

El Salvador mines 474 Bitcoin using geothermal volcanic energy
Bhutan has been mining Bitcoin with hydropower since BTC price was $5,000
Yeah, there are governments that have already announced that they're mining Bitcoin. But it doesn't matter at all whether they'll do it or not because we can be sure that there are citizens from their country who have been mining Bitcoin and are low profile.

Quote
And most of the countries that are into hyperinflation, they're using other currencies that they can accept. Like for Venezuela, they're accepting US dollars and people there are using bank transfers for every purchase they make.

So, going with Bitcoin as their alternative currency for payments, it's not impossible just as in other countries. They've got merchants that are accepting payments in Bitcoin.
If their countries have problems with hyper inflation, it is consequence of long lasting improper and unhealthy economics policies over many years and they can not simply use Bitcoin as a rescuing mean for their economies or hyper-inflated fiat currencies. Bitcoin does not have such magic impact on any national economy and fiat currency.
The government has the big contribution as usual with hyperinflation. Wrong decisions from their leadership and other policies that are not pro citizens can cause pull outs of big investments and businesses in the country.

Exactly. Whether inflation or not, countries exploring the Bitcoin technology is the best way to go. I am somehow close to how governments are run, with the little information I have, exploring new ideas and sampling them on the country is the best way to sustainable development in any country. Countries that thrive the most are countries that take their time to explore new ideas and advancements, whereas, countries that do not open doors to technological advancements, have a delayed or lack development as a whole.

Bitcoin is one monumental advancement to the world of financial technology and the earlier governments open their arms to it, the better. Aspects that will greatly benefit the government will especially be via investments
As long as it's very beneficial to the country, they've got cheap electricity and they can invest to ASICS, that's no problem to them if they'll allot a fund for it.

But it sounds odd if they'll use public funds for it.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can we do to make Bitcoin hit $100k on: May 18, 2024, 08:58:48 AM
If everyone is going to HODL, we're reducing the supply in the economy and that makes the demand higher.  Tongue

After halving we have no significant changes in price as we all know this is all set by the whales which are doing their own stuff so right now keep buying and strongly hold your investment are best options for the small investors like us because this is going to help us for having good price and keep things on positive for this bitcoin.
That is because we've got some significant price high before the halving.

It is actually a good reaction of Bitcoin that it has reached new ATH even before crossing the halving. Right now, the expectation of many has became higher because of what happened.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 18, 2024, 12:31:03 AM
I am responsible but it pushes me more when I see situations when someone can't be reached with how they're responsive with their addiction or just simple bets that have been made. I have to be responsible not for anyone but for myself.

And with that, I can continue whatever I want to do be it in gambling or any other activities that I want to do alone. Because if I can't be responsible on this matter, I probably can't do the same thing to other things that I do.

So, it's a good measure on how to become responsible so that I won't end up badly and to keep things balance for myself.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: May 17, 2024, 01:27:56 PM
Obviously there is no amount sufficient enough to retire.
There is, just compute the cost and how's your lifestyle and cost of living in your country.

And it is difficult to retire with gambling wining because almost everybody that gamble usually lose, so the chances of wining is slim, talk more of retirering In gambling wining. Although there may be some folks who may have retired through gambling wining but I believe they are few which I am not even part of them. I hardly win in bet talk more of retirering through it.
This is like winning the lottery.

You hit big, win big and go home big. I don't know if in my circle someone has got to retire with his gambling winnings. But IMO, there's none of them.

Thos that have managed to retire with gambling winnings, they're likely to go back because retirement for them is going to be boring or they're actually retired people so they gamble as a recreational activity and to have fun.

Two Chinese teams facing each other now, Xtreme Gaming and G2.IG. I don't understand if there's something to do with the points and standing on the group stages for the placing of teams on the playoffs.
Unfortunately, no points are given out for this tournament, but the prize pool is still big enough for teams to take it seriously. XG right now is on another level IMO, they've been rolling with off-meta heroes and it's working while the others are strictly picking the most contested heroes.
Yeah, the prize pool is the same as the typical tier 1 tournament but no EPT points are to be given away. That's why those teams that are out too early that are also going to participate in the Dream League have enough time to prepare and study their potential tough teams to match with.

What I am learning with XG's strategy is about patience and pull off every single opportunity that they can see even if the enemy is on the lead.

XinQ never disappoints and I'm waiting to see how they'd play against Team Spirit, the two time TI champs.

We have the playoffs later, and I guess all favorites should win this time after that underdog day yesterday.

As they are currently playing for their first map, it looks like Xtreme Gaming is doing it with a carry bristleback of Ame. 24 minutes in the game and all 2nd towers of G2.IG were already destroyed.

This is now on the mid game and if this happens to become a late game, G2.IG has got luna and magnus and that's going to play a big part every time they clash. One wrong move, and it's gg.

But it seems that top barracks of G2.IG is already destroyed.

Update: The game ended 27 minutes, XG won.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accessing gambling sites only on desktop as a means to prevent addiction on: May 15, 2024, 11:15:44 PM
It's a good tip and reminder for those who have been doing it wherever they go. And even when they go to bed, they hold their phones and can't help but tell themselves that with just a few more rounds or spins or rolls, they'd stop.

If it's your me time then use that to take some rest and not to do any stuff from your mobile phones.

Sometimes, we're forgetting to spend time for ourselves but instead, we're holding phones, keep on scrolling or even does some bets.
That's exactly right and I don't get why so many people in this thread are saying this little trick won't solve addiction.
Of course nothing will solve addiction on it's own. How could a simple thing such as not installing an app on your phone sole a deep societal issue? Someone needs a support network, a stable life, psychological support and more even to prevent falling in tough psychological times and handling all the stress of life. Surely a simple thing as managing time on and off apps isn't gonna cut it, but it's a good step for sure.

Compartmentalizing gambling away from regular every day activities just as one would do with work is just a step towards managing your time and money in a more healthy manner. It should be part of a larger ruleset to figuring out one's life and how not to fall in depression.
Getting out of addiction is a process. It won't happen on an instant but with little things that you do, they can contribute to the actual process of you getting out of it.

That's why uninstalling it will be the initiation and next is do whatever you can to avoid addiction or looking at the casinos that you typically visit.

There are several ways to do it but the question starts with how consistent are you going to be with them?
30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 15, 2024, 09:26:34 PM
I will not going to suggest any newbie to invest in crypto before learning because cryptocurrency trading is high risky, you can loss you all fund if you invest with out proper knowledge.
While I am going to suggest them to invest in Bitcoin only if they want to start. But it doesn't mean that they need not to invest to learning first. Every investor should be wise and that's what I am going to tell them to do. They need to DYOR.

Even it is with Bitcoin, they need to understand how it goes and how the market works for everyone. If they proceed to trading without that much understanding and idea of how the market works, they're just burning their money easily.

Because even then if you want to invest on bitcoin long-term you have know at least the basic about it .
I agree and I hope they understand it very well.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: May 15, 2024, 08:13:30 PM
~
And if this finds success, they might focus or either launch another one which could be another flow big cash on it.
To be sincere, I wouldn't be as excited as I'm now with Notcoin if the team decides to float another project immediately after this because of the success of Notcoin. I still remember how the Ton network floated TonPet on fair launch following the huge success oif its first memetoken, Tonfish. TonPet became a big failure.
I didn't hear about that TonPet but if that's what it is, you're right that the next one might be a failure as most of the projects launched when they become successful, launching another one could be a disaster and a failure.

Tomorrow, Bybit will also open their NOT launchpool. I will also stake there using USDT and see how it goes.
Wow, it is sure that many of these exchanges are supporting NOTcoin and they're following it up with a launchpool. For sure many stakers are going to be there just as you.

Those that have missed the tapping moments will still able to have it through launchpools.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is going to happen Biden orders remove of Chinese-owned crypto Miner? on: May 14, 2024, 05:21:09 PM
Sounds like a national security issue.

But because they just want to relocate the mining farm, they may still be in the US. The first reason why they came to the US was because there was a crackdown in China during that time. Now that China seems to loosen its belt and even approve the ETFs in Hong Kong, I think the miners will likely be going back to China.
And now that with the timing that US is strongly against to what China is doing from its neighbor countries, this is really gonna take that hot issue to the next level.

But if the mining firm is allowed to relocate elsewhere so that they won't be a security threat to the government then, that's what the government just want them to do.

It's not about cracking them for the second time around but also needs to consider the situation of the military and their operation's location.

I have just ignored this but happy to see everyone is partying when Binance launched it on its pool. It's very likely that it's owned by Telegram itself or the developers of TON. And if this finds success, they might focus or either launch another one which could be another flow big cash on it.

That's right. I think the TON network has been successful several times and the last one I know they have launched their meme coin which previously also existed UP can also be considered a success where 2 times ATH has been achieved. For the price of the ton itself is also very fantastic and as I remember from $ 2.2 now it has reached wear up to $ 7.4 and this in my opinion is a tremendous increase on the TON platform and its network.
If that's what you think with TON and you're optimistic about it, there's no problem with that because what it shows currently isn't deniable that it's been doing good.

It has quickly gone up to the top 8 in the rankings of the market and has gained a lot of market cap. One contributor is this NOTcoin and as well as the bull run that we're all about to have.

For Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool I also just got news from this post.
Aside from the launchpool of Binance, other exchanges have shown support for NOT that they're going to list it.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: May 14, 2024, 08:36:43 AM
Telegram won this time and I think the other projects will start to see the possible collaboration with them.
It did. Actually, I became serious with Notcoin tapping when I read that the dude who runs Telegram had a hand in it and the killer punch came when I realized Notcoin was a reverse of Toncoin and the project linked most of its stuff through Ton chain and could be owned by same team. I guess that was what energized many too into it.

If this becomes a success after the listing date on major exchanges, then for sure that this type of project will start to come out through Telegram and that's going to drive them more sales.
That's true. Everybody watches and waits for the guy in front to get it right or wrong and then know what next steps to take. It's the same thing we see with the preponderance of Tap2Earn projects now.
Exactly, from ICO, to NFTs, P2Es and now to tap2earn projects like this which can be done through mobile phones.

38k multiplied to the possible listing price of $0.009 = $300 if it stays there.
I want to believe it will even dump lower than that if it actually lists at $0.02 that we see being paraded now. However, I'm of the opinion that price will rally up sooner than later. For those who intend to dump, they should know what could be in stock so they don't dump and regret not getting in back.
What's the current price of it now? I've seen ranges from $0.006-$0.009 so if it goes to $0.02, that's already high TBH.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling? on: May 13, 2024, 07:44:10 PM
I prefer money, strongly. When you gamble with money, you are *risking* money for a chance to win money. It is always a losing proposition. But it’s not the same as *spending* the money. If I walk into a casino with a $50 bankroll, and I walk out of the casino an hour later with $40, then I’ve had a good night. Cause losing the the money will be okay for you but on the process that you won as will you'll enjoyed more than coins, you won't have to trade anything at the moment.

But gambling with coins will involves of spending more money on the play coins. Which have no value or gain at the moment (if they have value, they wouldn't be play coins, they do just be different kind of currency) So, you’re paying for the privilege of risking something of no value in the hopes of winning something of no value. That doesn’t even count as gambling anymore; that’s paying a fee for the privilege of keeping score on a random number generator. What's your own opinion towards this?
Gambling with fiat or crypto is totally the same. The monetary value is there and that's why there is no difference if you think that you're spending it as a privilege or you're risking it.

Which coin are you describing as something that doesn't have any value at all? The crypto market has became big and majority of the coins accepted by the casinos have their own value.

They won't support and accept a coin to their platform that doesn't have value and that's why I don't understand where you are coming from with this thought.
37  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Canada fines binance $4.38mln for money laundering violations? on: May 13, 2024, 11:19:36 AM
Another money laundering violation and this sets for most of the operations of exchanges and gives the idea to the government that they've bene dealing with such violations.

$4M is not that a lot for them but this could give them the opening again if ever they pay the fine. Because if Binance doesn't have any intention of operating there, they can easily go away and ignore that fine.

But this can also be the incentive if they ever pay the fine which means that the Canadian government is willing to give them another pass to operate in their country since they've left already the market there.

Yeah I think so too. Im not a hard core tapper just doing when I have free time but consistent to take advantage the earnings. No one knows if it will be worth it so I guess its worth it after all. I think this could do a 2b mcap or more cause other memes did more than that during hype or bull season.

I didnt do other copy cat project of not since its basically  a copy and we know copy cats didnt work out only rhe first unique one.
Anyway, with all and such good luck to you and all of those grinders that have tapped a lot before. I hope that all of those efforts you did guys will be worth it.

It's just a few more days I guess when this is going to be tradable in most exchanges. When Binance is part of it, for sure that there have been a lot of hype on it so you take the decisions right.

I also heard that there's some kind of airdrop happened with this coin. If that's the case, then that will make the price of this coin dump even more especially now that it will be listed on Binance which most of us have an account, right?
Right, dump is likely for this coin and that's why everyone is prepared for it to dump too.

They should also have some conversation and get to reply to the interesting posts of other users on their own thread.

Only the PR guy is the only one doing post here using their official account. They already lost interest on communicating here ever since they received a lot of criticism about poor performance of their token even though they use the forum before during their crowdfunding phase.
That's when they should be better at it when they've been receiving a lot of criticism. That's the opportunity that they can do to get the trust of their community once again.

I think the current user of Betfury account is just instructed to post announcements and don’t involve on any post here. This is same function of other PR accounts like on Stake and Frebitco.in which they don’t reply on comment.
Yes, that's likely the main task that he has to do when they've got some updates. But limited into it only and don't have to reply to the discussions that are being done by the community.

How many NOT did you managed to collect and became eligible with? What I am seeing right now is many are claiming their NOTs already and those that want to take it quickly, they're registering or subscribing to the Telegram Premium.

Wow, that's a lot of sale for the Telegram with this project and many have been subscribing for $5 and I think that's around for a month already but the majority that have subscribed to it are due to the advantage of claiming their NOTs rightaway.
Im not sure if its worth a lot now but 38k not. Ive already withdraw this and waiting on Binance on listing date since Im a premium user whom avail 6months ago.

Yeah thats a lot of sale, imagine 35m users whom played not become premium users this could go around $175m sales. Its really a big partnership to ton thats why you can see how valuable notcoin for ton project.
