I dont see any damage on the board. the board still looks very solid.
Have you searched the internet for someone with the same problem as you?
There's always someone else with the same problem.(in my experience)

Tried to search a bunch but havent been able to find it Sad

Also asked LA support but they say to try and unplug power etc.. done that a thousand times so far :/

Was but the room turned into a furriness hitting 47Degrees, the A/C units are shit anyone any recommendations on cooling that doesnt involve proper DC grade heat extraction and recovery?

Its not hard, work out how much power (energy) you are pulling out and then get the equivalent amount of cooling power.

Heres some ideas to get you going:

Heat is measured in either British Thermal Units (BTU) or Kilowatts (KW). 1KW is equivalent to 3412BTUs.

Most aircon units are measured in BTU's so I'll work in that unit.

Equipment BTU = Total wattage for all equipment x 3.5
Room Area BTU = Length (m) x Width (m) x 337
Lighting BTU = Total wattage for all lighting x 4.25

There seems to be no windows, or people working in there permanently so you can probably leave those calculations out.

Total Heat Load = Room Area BTU + Windows BTU + Total Occupant BTU + Equipment BTU + Lighting BTU

So you need enough aircon cooling to handle that amount of heat.

I'd say on equipment alone you would need minimum 100KW or 350K BTU's of cooling

It only appears that you have two of them, thats max 50K BTU if you have the most powerful (25K BTU) wall-split units, so you would need 14 of them.

Move the lot to Iceland. Cheap power, nice climate, very good high density deployments are possible.

The resistors near the C197 one look burnt, or maybe it's the solder, It's not clear enough.

Thinks thats a bit of leftover residue from the thermal pad or so - I saw it after, and removed it with a nail, doesnt seem to be damaged.

209  Bitcoin / Mining support / Gridseed miner dead - help on: June 10, 2014, 03:51:12 PM
hey guys.

Sadly within the last two weeks two of my gridseed miners have seem to die.

They are just flashing green when plugging in the USB (powered hub) and no change when attatching the additional power plug..

I cant seem to spot any burned things on the boards .. ?

Any help apreciated.

Everyone should get screen shots of competitor hardware prices when the units actually ship. This will come in handy when they discuss compensation in a few months.

Good idea.
Unit is still running a solid 125gh at the pool 12 hours later. Will report back in the morning, Would you guys like a video? The thing is WHISPER quiet, even OCed.
Any idea when shipping will start from your end to your customers?

I just got an email that my order (X1) has been shipped, including a DHL tracking number.
Order# 11X

I think your hitting a different customer Jack - different size, power effeciency, etc.

Assuming this will be delivered in 4 months from now, consider that in the last month LTC difficulty went up by 58%. If this continues you're looking at 1/6 of current revenue per MH/s in October, all other things being equal. So the $2000 price tag is roughly equivalent to $10-12k being asked for the current Innosilicon hardware. Of course "all other things" are never equal, so do your own math based on your own data/estimates/beliefs/rumors/etc.
its all based on our company development. we start to design new asic from 5 months ago.now its time to tape out it.

Have you (LA) designed an ASIC? - and if so, please give some more info on it.

whats your expected targets?

Why is the 100M cheaper than the 75M by nearly $7000 again? Huh Huh

check the delivery time.

I thought your moto was not to take "long term" preorders, Jack?

Q3/Q4 seems possibily a long time from now..

"Mass production in under way and shipping will start from the beginning of next week." -- BA

So did anybody get shipment tracking numbers for their X-1s?

Nothing as usual :/

Sorry to say, but it seems like they still only have one module hashing in the X3 backplane :/

Needless to say I'm very hesitant to order with both again. Problem with asiabtc is that English isn't his native language so communication gets complicated when it mainly consists of general sales slogans and promises about sent products. When everything goes as planned/promised they're both options to order though with the timepressure on the products I'd rather pay a bit more and get the order as soon as promised.

Allthough, in these days, even in china, its possible to get someone to translate for you perfectly.. hense communication shouldnt be as big an issue as it seems to be.
