201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falseful speculations about bitcoin predictions and its halving on: May 13, 2024, 04:44:26 PM
Its a development not an event, halvening has years to take an effect in the lower supply and the amount its changed is far less then prior changes.   It might matter in the end but its far more gradual now then the seismic alteration it might have been in long past years, now its a blip that accumulates.   By the end of 2024 the fact we had halvening now will matter, today I barely count it as an influence vs even the news this week about the economy in general.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: A lot wealthy people not smart they just use debt on: May 13, 2024, 02:56:58 PM
Across an entire economy this debt leverage to business explains why recessions are so hard to bear.   All the easy money recedes like the tide going out and only then can you easily see what is not working, what is not productive.

Some people even state a recession is a positive for this reason, it forces rationalization of cash flow and expenses.   Without this an economy can become wasteful and unproductive, too concentrated on luxury over working goods that make the nation richer in its productivity.   It always happens, there is a cycle to the economy of excess.
203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull has Started But Not Yet ATH. on: May 13, 2024, 01:34:18 PM
We are still in balance, here is my arbitary view of the last month or so.   We are not positive or negative especially

This diagonal line here is the rough pace of change since last August, to this extent we can say BTC has not failed to maintain this trend overall.  Its obvious in the last two months after rapid quite extreme growth we did not progress or lose much but have just maintained a price level.

I would not want to state this in absolute terms but the further we are from this diagonal line the greater we are deviating from this overall positive trend.   At present the fair conclusion is neutral, we're very close to that overall momentum and positivity in the pricing.

There is no bearish seasonal bias only a stall and drift sideways, when or if we do move in any determined consistent path downwards or upwards I would hope to notice and state that clearly;  we have no clear trend near to medium term at present.
204  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 13, 2024, 01:09:47 PM
Ideally pay all bills first and the amount left over is whats considered.  Never consider to spend money that is already allocated to bills, you cannot spend what you dont have.   Most places have taxes and rent and utility bills none of which is optional, so saying 5% of money which has to pay those bills would appear too much.

If a person already paid every bill and the food and anything else you require to live, this is when we can talk about what percent but I would not take cash directly from earnings as if it were free and clear.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: May 13, 2024, 04:42:39 AM
Old people gamble more Im pretty sure but it might be a greater extent of small things like lotto or bingo or small card games between friends.  Young people are new to the industry and a hot target for gaining new customers in many industries gambling included.

Younger players are more likely to gamble on a mobile with faster slot games or similar rather the more drawn out slower games.  The bulk of industry might be with middle to older age but the growth is with young people as a very attractive business.

Bitcoin was once thought to be Fiat's replacement.

BTC cannot be a replacement and also completely different in a multitude of ways and literally non physical is enough to say it wont replace FIAT.  The replacement for failed FIAT is even more FIAT just as flawed as the standard it replaces but a brand new iteration, thats the history of what has happened on prior failures and will happen again on the almost annual failure of FIAT somewhere globally.

We can say the balance of power will alter alot, at the moment alot of the world leans on USD as if exists without flaws.    Clearly even the most ardent admirer of US dollar knows its not without flaws & as those flaws fracture it will cause a great deal of change.

Some will say Dollar will disappear but I dont presume that exactly, its certain alot of value will be lost to holders though; also in YEN and ECB this loss of value is written in today but not yet played out.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: May 12, 2024, 11:28:53 PM
Tiredness is more dangerous or at least equal to drinking and driving is what I find.  So that it could impair someone while gambling should be of no surprise at all, tired anything and Im knocking over drinks etc and making mistakes I would not make otherwise its a given that it could decline even your best game.

Anything less then your best is costing you money easily, though I often play Poker while tired or drinking I dont do so with high stakes or anything I can regret the next day. I have lost lost lots of ranks while tired, literally falling asleep during a tournament is a pointless loss but I have done that more then once if Im honest due to lack of time to play.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 12, 2024, 07:43:39 PM
This guy is famous, Ive heard of him many times and mostly as just a big gambler not this more recent story of losing it all.  He no doubt did alot of partying and got carried away but its not a singular fault imo.

Terrance Watanabe which is a successful businessman

Anyone big in business to the extent of earning millions will feel bereft just stepping away from their company to spend the money, taking the time off and not managing the company alone could result in a vast change of fortune possibly.   That whole dynamic of business management is a gamble that could have led to losses.

I would consider all angles to this, the likely drinking problem and the lack of work ethic replaced by entertainment and gambling is unfortunate.  If it was in the majority a family business, perhaps more of this wealth should have been held in trust to last more then just one generation.

I cant say I'd be any better in my performance given all the temptations and free gifts with fabulous hotels he was given, I would at least half my bets when consuming alcohol as its the simplest action to take and alters the game not at all.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: May 12, 2024, 06:49:28 PM
Like the Oscars you have expect some element of a theme or cause in the winning entry.  Eurovision being very political has been true for years.  UK gets less votes every year because they left the eu which is nonsense because they remain in Europe anyway.  How Israel gets in is via a television network apparently if I remember the argument rightly.

210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: May 12, 2024, 03:56:53 PM
Just a singular buy is ok at present, sub 63k the near term is still appearing negative but most of what I expect is a drift sideways.   People generally only expect a binary option but sideways and circular movement but no real gain or loss is quite normal &  frustratingly common imo.

BTC is above the 12hr average today, see if it can close positive for today at least Smiley
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 12, 2024, 03:30:57 PM
If you have the discipline you could keep going on the attempts to form a good record.   You make the bets by just doing paper bets or pencil and paper write down your estimates for a bet.

Keep a virtual book of your progress, some people cant do this and also relate it to a real bet for actual crypto/cash.  Its good practise though imo

The other idea would be live bets since you are in the sports bet realm.  Sometimes I see very good value bets appear live but it requires alot of attention and good certainty to the swings in odds during a game.   People like to cash out during a game and this is why this special market exists, its also true people give up too early mid game and there is definite opportunity for good wins.   Its probably more risk and certainly more effort tbh.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 11, 2024, 11:59:59 PM
Modern money is debt, write that down because its something if we ever forget it can bankrupt us all.   We can save our whole lives, all the earnings and it can end up zero.    Thats what happened to the old Russian Ruble, it has an exchange rate of 10,000 to 1 with the new Ruble.    Some guys who knew that paradigm and a few others used the upset to their advantage, a few gained control of some of the largest oil and gas companies across Russia which means billions in wealth.   Entirely unfair but thats what reliance on government money will get you, its massively favored to the largest players who love debt and hold cash purely in appearance to buy up genuine productive assets performing long term.

Wealth is having no bills because you paid off all future costs that you can do.   Most commonly that would be owning a house but there's many other possibilities to owning good assets usually with more risk but also more performance.  Im still unsure if owning shares works out in shareholders favor during a failure of the FIAT monetary standard.   It seems to be an uneven road so often and with great upset and losses in the economy it might just mean shares stay flat with no real gains; this was the study conclusion I read on money vs stocks vs bonds vs gold comparatively.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going to happen with Bitcoin now? on: May 11, 2024, 11:49:57 PM
Until BTC breaks its boundaries its sitting there, just idling kicking its legs floating.    At most we get BTC moving from one end of the range to the other but its repeating this continually without new action.  This makes us all guessing till it can do something new, I do guess positively but I will only commit to that on the long term view otherwise known as year to year.  So by my reckoning we can sit at this price or nearby till year end in fact I predicted that in Jan as my general guess, we did rise rapidly after Jan but its showing its roots and stalling right now; in my view BTC is acting as it should.

"FreeBitco.in is the third-largest internet gaming site"

- Which are the 1st and the 2nd?

They arent crypto related but normal FIAT based.  This is the largest crypto one if I remember rightly because of the free dynamic, I dont know its true in revenue but maybe it is.   Being 3rd largest by revenue would surely be a ton of money, I think they mean customers and visits that internet sites measure rather then size of trade exactly as there are alot of news social sites etc.

TBH I'm thinking FBC should just consider going with adverts if it helps them raise their guard, increase their activity etc. but presumably they prefer the low key basic kind of site and I like that too over anything crowded; its just they do have alot of options in a multitude of directions so who knows.   I'm already well versed on the fashion captcha picture tests so maybe some random retail isnt a big deal Tongue
215  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest on your dependants if you too must grow further on: May 11, 2024, 11:29:55 PM
Family business also has tax advantages in most countries which is vital for capital gains especially.  I agree with the point about educating your own family with the family business as it creates strength and stability from multiple people able to do the same job and share the load amongst them.  Its something I see in certain communities that the whole family helps towards making the business as reliable and capable as possible, also having your business so close to home saves alot on the costs of recruitment and commuting, all other extras that weigh down most business.

Employment and finding enough reliable people alone is a big cost, I used to work for a temping agency which charges 100% on the wages for their own fees in vetting all the employees, thats a big burden that can be avoided if able to resource from within your own family.  A small business has a large advantage in its dynamic capabilities, big business has the scales of economy from its size but thats always everything in success especially some sectors.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: May 11, 2024, 08:33:02 PM
Irish entry is a definite no for me, its more worthy of a drama then a song and its well produced I guess.  Could be Im out of touch and that'll get pts because the crowd seemed to like it just now.   Not surprised they tie to something more exclusive like a credit card where they can eliminate multiple votes by the same person perhaps is why.

Latvia is far more conventional, thats a great voice.  I notice alot of the songs are in English as the lyrics can get more votes from across the variety of countries I guess but I hope something unique gets the win.   This guy has a great voice and the song I rate 6/10, could be a winner if people like it tbh.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why has bitcoin prices not increased just after halving ? on: May 11, 2024, 06:48:03 PM
Buy the rumor sell the news is a simple succinct phrase which will give you guidance right across the range of market asset.

The reason such simple reasoning applies to widely and true for centuries is that it applies to humans who deal the prices and thats key most of the time.   Purely in a logical determination only you are not incorrect to assume less supply brings a higher price.

The explanation is that BTC has speculators, most markets do and they know ahead of time the supply will be lower.   People buy ahead of the news and the price rises in proportion before the event.   This isnt a one off, its almost every time you can expect some similar fashion of movement to this.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 11, 2024, 05:44:05 PM
I voted the top one but I've only lost more then I would like not that I had put a large amount into one place to bet in one session to begin with.    Its true that anyone can make a mistake and lose more then they planned to with any variation of details during a bet.

Mostly I made a mixup with live betting which gives very little time but is very convenient way to engage with sports betting during a match.   Only deposit a daily amount and most of the time you will be ok, I think crypto is ideal to segregate the amounts.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: May 10, 2024, 11:57:29 PM
I would miss out on a reasonable past time if I didnt gamble.  I would miss out on practicing my maths, good use of my brain and also it would reduce my enjoyment of some sports that go along with betting Ive done.

I dislike the characterization  of gambling as a negative influence when thats not at all true until people start gambling money they cannot afford.  Thats the same problem every activity can bring, if done to excess and without any regard for the cost then you will end up having to stop completely.   Drinking, smoking, driving badly is all quite worse then gambling but considered far more normal and safe when its not really true.
220  Economy / Economics / Re: Your own people family best friends and loyal supportive people are true wealth on: May 10, 2024, 11:47:04 PM
Money is a tool to communicate value but its really not the value in of itself.  Its more like favoring noise over music or proper arrangement of sound, we dont do that as we recognize noise can be destructive and a negative.  Same too is true of money, it can be a negative if not placed and arranged in a proper way.

We too often say high value figures are best but its really about quality that money should be used to describe imo.
