201  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 01, 2016, 10:05:23 PM
Well bitcoin moment to get rich has already happened, thats why some altcoins are getting massive investment, as they can grow similiar bitcoin from one moment to another, but the question around if they will be able to keep it, bitcoin had a bubble that opened several eyes of the people. I am investing my bitcoins into something i believe will be the future, about bitcoin. I cant save bitcoin without make project live, soo currently im investing to further being collecting and saving my coins.

it hasnt lol.

it may look like it to you, but this depends on how you intially make your money.

If you make enough in the fiat form - then you`d be spending it towards bitcoin as a "down payment" in the future like those rich btc address you can look up that holds over 3,000 coins.

That itself says something lol.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: August 01, 2016, 10:00:28 PM
Trading is also a sort of investing, isn't it? But maybe a little bit more reliable then bunch of Bitcoin investment sites that are usualy fake and scam. Very often you don't know what are you excatly investing in, what are the risks and what are the advantages. So, if you have some experience trading could be much better choice.

Not entirely.

Define trading though, cause there is day traders who are done for each day. Then theres investing where people hold until a certain price even after more then 2 days which then doesnt turn into day trading anymore.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 01, 2016, 09:56:57 PM
I think the view saving money is bit false.

If you are 50-60 and you got like $1 mill in the bank - you`ll be comfortable. But you`ll be kicking yourself in the ass for taking so long to even get there.

204  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if a major financial crisis hit entire world in a few months on: August 01, 2016, 09:52:42 PM
If a major financial crisis happens in the whole world, and people lose confidence in fiat, the bitcoin price will rise.

Not entirely true lol.

Your view is logical, but its skewed because you didnt factor in other things that people invest in as well which is gold.

Now if your answer was if the gold supply/silver was overflown still since the loss of faith and cant produce as fast buying with a overwhelming demand - then yes bitcoin will be the next viable option.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Why better tech can't kill Bitcoin on: August 01, 2016, 09:44:42 PM
Well, technology is also the key if a state wanted to destroy bitcoins (via hacks, transaction spam or even 51% attacks). Technology is only a tool, it can be used for various proposes.

This is what can kill bitcoin, but next to tech you need good marketing. Bitcoin does got a lot of believers and merchants who put trust in it.
A new coin needs to work on that big time.

Transaction spam can be decreased by just increasing the chain higher then the current format - which last time I checked its 1mb.

So it eventually weeds it out, as for hacking - most crucial hacks are only based on social engineering not like the "movies" you see.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: August 01, 2016, 09:30:25 PM
If all this is very ultra urgent, I would simply borrow that money to someone, that I'll of course return soon (or not so soon).
Taking loan is fine until you know you have money coming from somewhere, but the problem occurs when you take loan because you felt desperate need for money or bitcoins just because of gambling. And I can not find a reason why someone would need money so desperately apart from gambling.

Actually taking a loan is not fine lol.

It only encourages on poor habits - esp if its used for gambling... unless you know for sure you will win - which then its not gambling at all then playing fixed games.

207  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you earn 5% interest daily on your bitcoins? on: August 01, 2016, 09:20:58 PM
quit chasing a dream.

unless you actually build something around that does that for you then its a no. if its % you are looking for go into trading and take your chances there - or loaning but to charge at someone at those daily rates you wont have business lol.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: August 01, 2016, 07:58:06 PM
Its always been cash for me, but I do factor in that the current fiat system like the rest of us knows its a failure.

Which is the only reason why I keep bitcoin stored whenever I can stash it.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: August 01, 2016, 07:55:27 PM
The beauty about the loan business - is the collateral part where you know your risk is off-set if something does bad happen.

But if youre sloppy and dont care for small details that make a big outcome of your collateral - then youre not obviously fit for it.
210  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 01, 2016, 07:22:21 PM
The day I noticed you still work at a job - is because you are only meant there for temporarily to build something great while you notice your calling in life.

Trust me, no sane mind will would work at 60 years a company - unless they really comfortable with the salary they give..
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have bitcoin AND debt? on: August 01, 2016, 07:16:44 PM
I dont have debt besides the usual bills that anyone has to pay each month.

I do have bitcoins - but most are kept away and will be stored for a certain amount of #`s to be reached - plus life in general.

So anyone who is in debt, it just means you gotta gain more profit then you spend.
212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: August 01, 2016, 07:04:41 PM
Theres a balance that I do.. but usually cash out to save prices more then spend.

So in a sense I do spend but for not really material purposes.. until I actually get my project launched which is been the main hold back.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins new trend on: August 01, 2016, 06:48:41 PM
What do the professional traders say to this decrease?
When do you buy?

This is from eyes of been through all the ups and downs.

If your current position - meaning you cant afford to hold the bitcoin - then sell it. But intially you`d want to hold this due to the worlds view of money then anything else.

And the obvious demand for it.
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 10 000 within a moth! on: August 01, 2016, 06:22:12 PM
LOL LOL LOL LOL

Just looking at today's drop from 655 to 615, it's far more likely for bitcoin going to $100!

Yeah really bad for the price chart, I have noticed that every weekdays starting price is going lower and somehow its getting stabilize on weekend times, So Even i am hoping like all bitcoin believers. Let hope for the best.

If anything you should let it time to recover.

I usually see things either stay the same or might be a little less then iti is actually a decline over a 2 week period then just assume from a 1 day price response.
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 10 000 within a moth! on: August 01, 2016, 05:32:06 PM
We are soon entering into a totally new price range when we, bitcoin investors, become a new wealthy elite!
Don't sell now because price will skyrocket soon to the moon. It's a trap to sell now!! It will go higher and higher until 10 000 dollars which is a psychological barrier

Oh you were wrong mate. Why did you think 10,000$ within a month? Sounds to me like you were trying to sell a lot of bitcoins at once =)

That is just speculation. I do not even think the bitcoin price will rise to $800 within a months. $10,000 is for 5 years later.

If the primary goal is to make a profit - then you already won depending on how you got the bitcoin.

But if you bought in and wasnt aware of how volatile it is then you should have contingency if the price chat doesnt fit to your agenda.
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 2000 $ possible ? on: August 01, 2016, 05:09:38 PM
i think it is  not possible that bitcoin will reach to 2000$ this year. but i if the bitcoin cross the 1200$ lever this year. then it is possible that bitcoin will cross the 2000$ level in the end of 2017. As we can see that people are investing their money in bitcoin and they are getting more and more confident so it is possible that bitcoin will cross the 2000$ in 2017 but not this year.

You noticed how prices shot up over technical events.

Its suspected to the same if theres something else that affect the scenario of bitcoin like those old stories we been hearing with the bitcoin etf if it were to be a reality.

Thats just one of many possible events.. its not a entirely impossible scenario.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much drop this week? I WAS RIGHT!!! A DROP FROM 665 to 635!!! on: August 01, 2016, 04:57:40 PM
Its more like a small pause.

If anything this is far from being dead - but im always hedging back my price points as much as I can incase if it does.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: August 01, 2016, 04:52:24 PM
yes bitcoin going to increase its too much faster and i hope that bitcoin will be increase its price to $800+ in the end of 2016 and i think bitcoin never dropped its price .

I believe that the bitcoin price will reach $900 or more by the end of the year or early next year due to adoption.

It's hard to get to 800, especially if the clock is ticking at 650 at this moment.
There is a lot of sell pressure around 700 dollar, so don't count on a fast profit to 800. With the halving due it can take months.

It will just take some time to arrive at $800. I think it will take about 3 to 4 months of consolidation for it to reach $800.

That is true. I expect the bitcoin price to rise a lot after a long consolidation. That was happened early this year.

I see more of the price changes between small things around bitcoin.

Like the new discussion with hard fork in bitcoin / or other technical aspects that make people cringe.
219  Economy / Currency exchange / Anyone in the LA area - need cash on: August 01, 2016, 05:27:00 AM
I know this is pretty narrowed down, but is anyone in the Los Angeles area willing to do this?

I`m seeking only $116 in cash for my BTC which I can go by preev rates.

I`m specifically in the south bay area - but I am willing drive depending how far it is.. I havent seen any on the lbc ads lately for my area.

We can go by localbitcoins escrow or here whichever is preferred. If I do end up trading I`ll most likely be doing this on-going as well.
220  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: July 26, 2016, 10:39:44 PM
Is bfl still a thing?
no one can be buying their shit still, can they?
Yes, "they" can (it they're "institutional buyers": at their website...)!  Grin
You forgot pawn shops and flea markets. Oh, and the used trash section of eBay.

Oh, oh, oh! Wait! You forgot the auctioning off of office furniture/equipment on Craigslist...  Grin

Yep, I've made more money buying and reselling used BFL equipment than I have holding Bitcoin. lol

As far as I'm concerned, BFL was the worlds first discount ASIC manufacturer.

Yeah this is pretty spot on lol. I`m with you on this.

I made more money selling mining gear back in the day esp when those 5gh jalpenos were some huge thing one listing alone if I remember correctly was like $1k.

then the other models came out and the typical pre-order nonsense lol.
