201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 12, 2014, 03:07:42 PM
I agree that 3-4 days is plenty of notice for every exchange to get the new wallet, test it on their system, and get up and running. Definitely want to avoid having to undo the hard fork. Whatever you decide we, as a community, will support you. We all see great potential for mainstream adoption. I assume (gets me in to trouble often) that one of the builds will contain the switch to POS at a later block? That will also be need for longevity and to get some people to use/stash coins in wallet and keep the network running at a fast rate as mining slows down.  I am sure if it isn't added now that it can easily be implemented down the road. Anywhere from 5-15% stake option would be a nice incentive to get coins off the exchanges. Just my thoughts. Great job so far, Devs!

I agree with this statement. I also think timezones could mess up the time, so, anything under 48Hrs would produce absolute havoc.

hope price rising high in next future Smiley

For the simple fact of it, most people have already seen a 10%+ profit increase in the last two days.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 11, 2014, 08:13:29 PM
Meaning to mine them becomes harder?
It would make sense if there are to many coins around.

I'm pretty sure mining becomes harder depending on difficulty. Halving means to divide the current block reward in half and that becomes the new block reward. Such as, if it was at 12, it'd halve down to 6.
Decreasing the block value to 24LTCD means that you get a lower block reward than you used to, meaning that essentially the demand goes up due to the block reward, or, let's just say supply goes down lower per block.
To be honest, I'm not too keen on Difficulty but I'm pretty sure it's when finding a block grows harder and this depends heavenly on the difficulty re-target or the algorithm of the difficulty. This is much more different than the coin's algorithm, since, it just controls the difficulty and things pertaining to it. One of the popular difficulty algorithms is KGW, but there's also other ones, for example, XPM/Primecoin's.

Why is halving a good thing for the price.
Can someone tell me?

I'm not a market guru, just a lowly developer, but generally speaking at a halving increased coin supply diminishes with respect to demand pushing the price upward.

Is there any coin whose price has actually went up after halving?

Most of the well-known ones have. Or ones with fairly good communities. The biggest example is Bitcoin, of course, possibly even Doge and others.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 11, 2014, 02:40:04 PM

BUY BUY BUY! xD

I guess some of us were lucky for buying in at 989 Sats.

These people who wants to sell cheap are stupid or what???

I guess so. I mean, quite seriously with a very serious face, why would you sell so cheap before it halves? Seriously? Do they not think they could get more possibly tomorrow or tonight depending on their timezone? We already saw how BTCD exploded, so, da fuke is going on with them?

http://www.fortresscrypto.com/news/breaking-news-litecoindark-ltcd-hard-fork/

Wallet 1.2.2 will be Released Tonight US time: BLOCK REWARD  REDUCED from 400 to less than 24

WTF

Well, if it does get decreased to 24 LTCD, that's even better for the value and I'm not going to lie.

LAUGHING OUT LOUD. CC is free, and public, why would they have a ICO or even a cryptocurrency for something free like that? Just someone trying to make some quick dough, can't believe some people even bought some of it. Not to mention, that is the Chanel logo like others have said.

You gunsta git sued, sonny-boy.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanel

You could've at least made something in Paint and that would've been more creative. Get it? Okay. I'll stop.

Buckle up for this ride  Grin

Just bought some on Cryptsy. I don't know what's going on on Bittrex, but, people are making sure not to sell for the selling price. Seriously. Sell price is BTC0.00001340. The lowest being sold right now is BTC0.00001359.

Wonder what the price will be after the fork.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 10, 2014, 01:14:51 PM
Had a lot to trudge through to stay current this morning. Y'all sure have a lot to talk about. I'm just glad we have a good group of Devs. To be honest, what more can you ask for in a hypervolatile market such as this. Whenever I start thinking about money I always remind myself why i'm here. That's to help build a better method of transactional currency for our ever diversified digital world.

Let's keep up the good work and continue to trudge through!

PS: We are almost half way there till I give away 1000 LTCD to one lucky reddit user. Keep on subscribin'!

Might be a digital-Reddit-shot in the dark, but, we'd possibly get more noticed if someone made an article about LTCD on r/CryptoCurrency. Even if it's a bit inactive at times, it might still be a good shot.
207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: October 10, 2014, 01:08:14 AM
Christianity today isn't what Christianity was 2000 years ago. Most Christians don't want to admit this, but wouldn't adhere to "Real Christianity." Much of it's irrelevant if
religious text, I think it's worth respecting insofar as it's worth respecting that they willfully submit to a set of rules which generally command they act in a way the rest of us would consider moral. Geography-based, non-voluntary governments aren't generally accepted to enforce "non-pragmatic morality" (... .... though this thought seems to be eroding every day), so it's reasonable to have "gap coverage" for people who want a more comprehensive set of rules we "all" agree on. The value of religion, though, erodes dramatically if they don't command a high market share with regards to the adherent market.

-But it should be sold that way, these days, I think, if it's to be honest. It should just be a kind of honor code, and if you want to have a bumper sticker saying you adhere to the set of rules, and even if you try to "convert" people to accept your honor code -- great! At least everyone else can know what to expect. ... I'm not totally put off to the idea that honor codes should exist... but the books of most religions are far too long, and in archaic language. The Bible, I'd guess, could probably be compressed to ~20 pages at most.

We all want these kinds of rulesets to some extent, I think. Some want the exhaustive Bible list (or just the 10 Commandments), some want the exhaustive list in the Koran... some have their own individual codes (or as they interpret the NAP)... some go by mafia codes... some go by law. If we could just all agree on what is and isn't the behavior of an asshole, I'd guess there'd be no conflict.
Actually, we only keep the moral rules from the OT.

In our beliefs Jesus made a new covenant on the cross, so the OT is... outdated.

But, Jesus isn't God and the Bible/your law is supposed to be God's word. I don't get it, I don't know of any scripture that says you should listen to the NT over the OT, or to listen to Jesus' law. And, since he made a new covenant, wouldn't you be disobeying the old covenant, too?

What if, since there's not publishing date of the Bible, the NT was published before the OT?
208  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: October 09, 2014, 11:05:54 PM
The thing I don't get is, why some Christians don't take the Old Testament seriously when you bring up the errors (Such as rules for when you're able to rape, diet, etc.) of the Bible. The New Testament obviously has many, too, but most people poke over those. When questioned about the Old Testament, some will brush it off and say, "That's why it's old."

I thought God wanted all of his word taken seriously?
----

Anyway, guy's right:

Anyone who follows the Bible literally is an idiot because you have cultural relativism into play.  All of those teachings while relevant in the respective society that was taught in, should not be viewed literally in contemporary society.

That's basically saying that things that were written into the bible were considered moral by the people they were written, even if they were "inspired by god." But with time, we as people realized ourselves that those things are not actually moral, despite the bible and "god" telling us they are. So if we can figure out what's more moral than what god tells us, and are rejecting his version of morality already, then why do we need god?

We of course wouldn't kill a family and the last person left would become our slave. In those days, they thought it was of course moral.
209  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Vaginal Orgasm Doesn't Exist on: October 09, 2014, 10:33:07 PM
You guys seriously need to stop reading Daily Mail articles >_>

I don't think anyone really takes most of the articles on the Daily Mail seriously. It's like getting offended by The Onion. But, D.M is good for a great laugh so you have to give them that. And it's funny when some people do take it seriously...

The Onion is obviously satire, but is Daily Mail meant to be serious?

No, Daily Mail isn't meant to be taken seriously. If you go over to the U.K, rarely are they taken seriously as a secondary source. Some of the articles are good but most of them are over the top and exaggerated. I guess America's (Yup, I'm a 'Murican.) equivalent would possibly be CW or, as Lethn said, Fox News.

If you don't know what CW is, it's basically a network of affiliate stations that in most areas, suck at delivering good news or repeatedly reporting outdated material.
210  Economy / Services / Re: Signature campaign of tradefocus.net has been launched ! on: October 09, 2014, 09:15:15 PM
I am very surprised with the amount of ignorant people you can find here. Im a professional forex trader since the 2000 and youre going to tell me what a ponzi is, surprising. Dont make assumptions on people if you dont know who youre talking to. There is not just one ponzi model, wikipedia is not always right my friend.

The fact that there is loads of undereducated people here doesnt mean anyone with a "newbie" status here is like that.

Again I dont see any scammed people here, if you dont want to participate, dont do it.

Welcome to real life Smiley

If you're a Forex trader, why are you in was in a signature campaign just for a few cents? And plus, since the 2000? You're missing a 's' there, bud. I didn't say you had to be a Newbie, nor did I say I used Wikipedia. The most relevant Ponzi model was a HYIP Scheme. Because this was one. Plus, every cryptocurrency would be a Ponzi scheme, smart one, if it did fit the definition. I don't care if you're a trader or not - if you were a smart one you wouldn't promote a scheme.

Hello Admin could You update This thread ?
I'm still not Received anyting

HMMMM.... I wonder why.

Nice ltcd is now at 33rd spot on the list way to go community  Grin More good news every day.

Price has already gone up quite a bit today, too. I have only seen it decrease a few times so that's awesome. On Cryptsy, we're ranked 14 for daily volume of BTC13.5 today. Meaning we might beat the volume of BTC15 from yesterday.

Wonder what the price is going to be after the fork.

Doesn't matter if they have a good reason or not. (I'm going to go in the middle, since I don't want to be biased.) They're most likely not going to win and that's just stating the obvious.
214  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who pays the best for signature ? on: October 08, 2014, 05:31:47 PM
It depends on your Rank and also whether you are looking for the highest payment for message or for amount of time.

It also depends on if you want to get paid in Bitcoins or Altcoins. There's some Altcoin signature campaigns going on in the Marketplace (Altcoins) subcategory.
215  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Breadwallet on: October 08, 2014, 05:27:29 PM
I'll shy away from this. First, I'm not the biggest Apple fanboy but I do use some of their devices. Second, with Apple's past experience with apps I wouldn't be too keen to use this. Not to mention, their censorship.

BTCD caught on pretty quickly, but in some sense, it's less active than LTCD.

Whats that? BTCD?
It was released few months before LTCD

Didn't know of that. I only found out a few weeks ago (I guess), when it made it's way onto the front page. Don't know if it's my timezone or not, but I haven't heard much else from it and the value decreased a bit.

Thanks for telling me.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 08, 2014, 01:40:10 PM
Well, this is weird. Are we missing something? BTCD caught on pretty quickly, but in some sense, it's less active than LTCD. I'm pretty sure LTCD came out first, but, as soon as BTCD hit the market a small surge was flocking to it. Of course, it's lost it's value, but is something missing in LTCD or do we just need to...

Fire up?

How about you guys calm down a little?

Yes there is an update, no there is NOT a halving to 24 coins this friday its a normal halving.

Keep calm and HODL... Or buy more LOL

If only it was at 900 Sats again, and I'd go crazy and buy more. Sad. Well, I lost my chance basically so I'm on the roof about waiting or buying now.

All thouse participating in this should get a negative trust. After cryptcominer there is no excuse of not knowing that this is a scam.

I dont see how we are scamming people getting paid for having ads on our signatures

We do not force people to deposit on this site. If you want to deposit, you do it by your own risk.

You are promoting while being aware that its a ponzi. That makes you an associate to the scam.

I dont see any scammed people here, please any altcoin can be considered a ponzi scheme... I have no idea about the last scam of this kind that you faced but I can say I am getting paid as stated without any problems, and I dont see any scam yet on this thing, so until that is confirmed I will be in the campaign, if theres REAL scam proof of course I dont thing any of us would like to participate.

Peace

Think before you post. If a Altcoin was a Ponzi scheme than every currency is a Ponzi scheme. They don't even fit the definition for a Ponzi. Before making claims on things you really don't know, then look at his name. It's HYIPworld. Don't start blabbering nonsense. At least spare time and Google it before making a claim like that.

All thouse participating in this should get a negative trust. After cryptcominer there is no excuse of not knowing that this is a scam.

Guys like you ,will participate even if this is a scam to make few pennies. Is just a time question to confirm this scam ...

Glad some people still even out this thread with sense. When they get scammed, I bet it's going to be all hands on deck. Some people really make a show to sell themselves out for money, other people getting scammed fails to matter, so all morals go skyward as long as they can make a dollar each day.

No. It was so obviously PG. Why do you think we haven't seen him around for? This time, he's in it with Dank. Vod should be all over this. I overheard their conversation. Something about banks and Fin. Maybe even Cindy was involved, and, Joey. The perfect squad, there.

Are the clicks automatic? Just tried 1,000 a hour or two ago, and they haven't shown up yet. I completed all information accurately and re-entered when told to.

P.S: I recommend you change the title back like the Negro guy did.
