Was I dead, or did I not see everyone in the Bitcoin community taking part in this? There's around a million people or so in Bitcoin right now. Whoever you saw doing it was probably a small fraction, considering, I go on Reddit and on here and didn't see anything of the sorts. bitcoin is supposed to be about people who question authority, but i see a lot of mob mentality with bitcoiners.
Yup, every Bitcoiner has 'mob mentality'. You deserve a medal, or better, a Citizen Kane clapping GIF.

lets see what he says today..... If he doesn't pay, contact the owner of Luckybit to drop him. And are you sure the day he was supposed to repay was when he got paid?

A stable altcoin. Something of the same value that's digital. (Not like a Steam account.)
Or just something that has the same value of the loan, or higher.

This is actually my account. The account has been hacked.
Oh my god. This is such a shocker! As soon as someone sends you $20 after a loan request, his ACCOUNT HAS BEEN HACKED! In case I do decide to believe you: Have any proof, bucko?

When most of this place is filled with people screaming about a $50 drop, it's very powerful to read something like this and realise what everyone is truly participating in. A top-tier read.
Who's screaming about a $50 drop? I'm guessing it's going on in the Speculation forum, or something? I haven't heard anyone talking about it either. On Topic: A good Bitcoin article that's not from the Daily Mail (Just kidding on that part.) Going to read it later on. I have the attention span of a child, so gonna have to give it a better look later. Seems like a good article though. I don't see any biased facts in it. And it's from the Telegraph.

we sghouldnt even be allowed to do self mod threads... if you got something to hide then something is wrong. OP this isnt directed at you, i dunno anything about you, its just a general comment.
Sure. People only use moderated threads for that reason. You know what, let's ban the lending section because it promotes scamming. Nice thinking, General Smarts.

Holy fucking shit! This is like the first Bitcoin event to come to my town! I love you guys so hard right now. Pretty sure it's a college day, though. (Lucky bastards in my University city are going to be free on that day. Never decide to shadow at another college. Not worth it if Bitcoins are later involved.)

As long as they don't require a phone number or using a google product.
The majority of the users on this site respect anonymity. I doubt they'll ask for anything of the such as verification.

I never really saw the use in them, but I would collect them if I collected coinage.

That's weird you'd pay that much. That's at least more than $100 as of now, when the bid is at less than a dollar, or a little higher?

I thought it was a professor? And wasn't this posted months ago?

Yup, he's right. Offering a bounty in the Service section would be your best bet.

I recommend this, and WeUseCoin's video, if they still have it up. Great help for newbs.

Have you tried E-Mailing Theymos? When my account got phished, I E-Mailed him and he was able to close it.

I too can vouch for the credibility of this campaign. I've been here for about six/seven rounds and not once have I been concerned about if my payment would be honoured.
Fair wage for fair work. Sure some of the others pay a little more, but they tend to come with issues. I believe that PrimeDice campaign is one of the oldest campaigns that is still running, which speaks volumes considering we live in a world where so many think only of the short term.
Agreed. I'd rather have someone whose sure to pay out, and not the thing that's going around in Up/Down were people aren't being confirmed or paid correctly.

Thats why I said I needed suggestions for collateral
So you jumped from a smaller loan to a bigger because you have no idea what good collateral is? How about reading? Why is it that you jumped from .012 to 1.2? He figured since his account was flagged, might as well try for the big scam. 100x jump... lol This seems a bit more likely.

I will just give up on this loan and try again when ive been move active and people dont think im some noob.. Thanks for those who considered helping me out.
It doesn't matter about your rank. Hell, I'm a Full Member and I'm not stupid enough to ask for a loan without decent collateral. Why is it that you jumped from .012 to 1.2?

Mods/admins don't moderate or deal with scams.
Hilarious is right. The best thing you could do to bring it to their attention is to report it, but that doesn't mean they'll do anything about it.

Couldn't you just upload it to a new link, or rename the file? How could this rule be enforced, exactly, and how would they be able to know who had it first?
Don't really think it'll be useful.

Wow what a fail here.. The hacker/scammer didn't even come close to pulling it off here. Nice effort on the research done to prevent this from happening!
I think the scammer didn't use any common sense. Anybody could've seen by his E-Mail, him going from Turkish to English, and his grammar errors.
