541  Other / Meta / Re: Are sockpuppet accounts allowed? on: June 17, 2014, 04:10:17 AM
Can't really do anything about them, with TOR and VPNs so common on the forum. So, yes, dear Sir.

Just to add to it, I believe they are not only allowed, but also encouraged by theymos. He said something about shill accounts being useful for free speech or such. It is somewhere around the forums.

Can anyone share a link for that?  Huh

I too would like to see this.

I can't think of another forum that allows sockpuppet accounts.

No forum doesn't allow sockpuppet accounts. You can't prevent them. I don't think they'd be allowed if you couldn't prevent them. They're just a bit uncommon on sites less technical, or sites were anonymity isn't important.
542  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's wrong with eating plants? on: June 17, 2014, 04:03:01 AM
This is the best counter argument to those who say that eating meat is cruel because we are hurting other animals , and the counter argument says while you are eating plants and other vegs you are hurting someone who can't even show their resistance by shouting and making loud noises ..! just feel the pain when someone wil grab your nuts and  pull them off and the worse part is you can't make any noise or cry..!

Agreed. I think I brought this up one time on the thread, and instead people commented and said they can't feel it. Or they have no emotions. Either way, you're still killing something. And if we didn't kill animals, some of them wouldn't hesitate to kill us.
543  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Mega BTC sale on: June 17, 2014, 03:58:11 AM
You would think your client would have better connections than just soliciting strangers on the forum.

Agreed. You think a Whisper listing type scenario would be going on, not just randomly posting it on a forum. Or, they'd use a exchange.
544  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: loan offer apply now on: June 17, 2014, 03:07:57 AM
Remaining anonymous and off the grid is more important than money. Trust me.
545  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT - NEW RATES! on: June 17, 2014, 03:05:50 AM

546  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Favorite political figure? on: June 17, 2014, 03:03:21 AM
All of them. The bitter, idiotic, murders... They've all shaped the world into some way. Positive, or negative.
547  Other / Off-topic / Re: Here is a need to know about forum trolls and shills. on: June 17, 2014, 02:55:27 AM
PG is surprisingly, not really a troll. But I do like a good troller, it's humorous. Phin isn't one of them. He uses a large amount of sarcasm in his posts. I like how he proves his points, actually.
548  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are bitcoin gambling sites illegal in USA? on: June 17, 2014, 02:53:19 AM
It depends more on the state you're in, then the U.S itself. Some states have taken actions, but in states were it's lesser known i.e middle of the Southern region, it's like 'meh'.
549  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: June 17, 2014, 02:47:16 AM
I lost my bets too..
had Bet under 2.5 and under 1.5 . DAYm!
A well deserved comeback from US

This world cup has been all about overs

Iran and Nigera was also the first draw so far

Wonder what's going to happen. I was surprised to see a draw come up, but I think this is historical, right? 9 matches and one draw so far.

portugal trashed by germany
CR7 must be so sad
USA late goal make sure they get 3 points
Next USA vs Portugal will end portugal campaign in world cup? Grin

Portugal's attack is better than Ghana's. And Americans don't play very aggressively at all, so if they do let in a goal or two, I doubt they will be able to respond. My bet would be on Portugal in that matchup. Americans are not a bad team, and their defense in particular is very good. But their offense is almost non-existent.

I don't want them to win. Hey, we got lucky with the Ronaldo gifs yesterday... But oh noes.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin's Current Price Doesn't Matter [Video] on: June 17, 2014, 02:39:47 AM
Disagree. If Bitcoin was still at .25$/BTC, do you think Expedia, Holiday Inn, Tiger Direct, Wal-Mart, or E-Bay would even give a thought to it?
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CTZ] Citizencoin * TAKEOVER! * PURE POS on: June 17, 2014, 02:24:11 AM
What was even special about this coin?
Anyway, probs going to get added to the Necro thread for coins.
552  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hardware - It's really hard to buy mining hardware on: June 17, 2014, 02:13:20 AM
How is it hard to buy mining hardware? There's like twenty ads about it on the forum everyday, more than ten reputable sellers, Amazon, Tiger Direct, Wal-Mart, and... Jeez, people randomly bringing it up in conversations.
553  Other / Off-topic / Re: Everything Wrong With Frozen In 10 Minutes Or Less. on: June 17, 2014, 02:11:13 AM
CinemaSins finally did it? Yes!

However, it's a kiddy film. Really no need to hate on it, since we all know what purpose kid flicks are intended for.
554  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $400 / Repay within 2 Days. on: June 17, 2014, 02:08:16 AM
I can tell, there is something terribly wrong with you close-minded people. I've bet you dont even know me spoiled brats.

I am not closed minded.  I would be willing to loan $400 with of btc for $444 worth of btc paid back within 60 hours.

Sir, If you google me, You'll find me everywhere on almost all forums.

Man, if you Google me, you'll find me on a diverse amount of sites. I'm not joking. How is that a guarentee of your choice?

Collateral =/- Loan. Do you understand that?
555  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone to purchase me 1500$ computer! Pay in Bitcoin + 100$ for help on: June 17, 2014, 01:17:33 AM
I don't recommend Dell. Most of their computers are junk. I do, however, recommend using Tigerdirect or Amazon and just making one. It's cheaper, fun, and faster to get to you.
556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Just kind of seemed strange to me on: June 17, 2014, 01:04:55 AM
Shitty grammar, and him assuming that a computer can play his game. Not insulting your computer, just saying it's weird for any developer to infer someone has a strong computer.

Obviously a wallet keylogger. I don't even have to go to the link to smell the Dracula on it.
557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Probable SCAM? on: June 17, 2014, 01:02:05 AM
That's strange. There's been more and more Blockchain phishing sites appearing. I usually tell the difference by whether my Identifier is remembered or not. However, I haven't gotten any E-mails of these phishing sites?
558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: June 17, 2014, 12:59:06 AM
Trading. People easily make tons of money by trading, or investing in a site.
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: FBI seized coins sold = bitcoin legal in USA? on: June 17, 2014, 12:56:11 AM
The sale will make it easier to argue with banks that don't like Bitcoin transactions  Grin
I am afrait it won't.

First of all, bitcoin is supposed to take away some of their businesses.  Why would they like it, or help it in any way?

Moreover bitcoin exchanges and other companies that convert between dollars and bitcoins are easily used for money laundering, bribing, financing terrorists, paying for drugs and child porn, bitcoin ponzis, internet gambling, etc. -- perhaps even without their owners being aware of it.  So, if banks were to provide dollar input/output services to those companies, they would risk being charged with aiding those crimes -- especially if they have been warned that such crimes are probably taking place.  That, in my understanding, is the main rationale behind the PBoC restrictions in China, the bans in other countries, and the "spontaneous" bank account closures in Japan, Australia, USA, etc.

Stop you there, bucko. Fiat has been used for all of those reasons, for centuries, and 24/7. How does dollars --> Bitcoin change that? I understand your point, but, really?
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am selling half of my Bitcoin holdings because of Ghash on: June 17, 2014, 12:51:26 AM
Panic selling 50% of your BTC holdings is stupid. There ARE going to be bumps in the road before bitcoin goes mainstream. Considering the amount of community outpour over this issue, I have confidence that the bigger players such as Gavin, Andreas, etc. (and the community) will find a way to resolve this.

I'm not worried.

and we've never seen more evidence that it is going mainstream in all it's history!

-bm

Nope. I'm going to panic sell all of my Bitcoins, when we recently met the 100K merchant milestone, and when companies like Expedia, Holiday Inn, etc have started to accept it more. That's the smart thing to do, isn't it?
