eally? my nivida rigs have always been the most stable and made me the most money
most here would say the same.

on that note , ve decided to sell 4 of my s9 14th and my 2 A3s or trade for equivalent value in 1080tis or 1070tis
or non ref vegas
I mined ETH from March 2017 -> Monero fork. ETH/AMD was really good to me. Rock solid with SMOS.

I have (2) 1070Tis arriving today and will test them out, but looks like the price jacked by $50 per after my order so I'll probably still be going with AMD cards..
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: May 02, 2018, 08:22:04 PM
Oh well. Loan came back for $23,500 - way less than I was hoping.

Thinking I'm going to get another Vega rig and 4-6 RX 500 Rigs.

youre taking out loans to buy gear? hope it pans out , it will be hard to build 4 500 rigs and a vega rig for that much,
u should go 1 vega rig, 1 nvidia rig and two 500 rigs
I already have several nVidia rigs and they've pretty much always sucked compared to any AMD builds profit-wise.

I took loans for my initial farm - this is just a bit bigger loan. I'm not concerned at all.

Revert to the previous version then until I can see what's going on. I love these errors that I don't get and can't squash ahead of time.  Sad
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AwesomeMiner Coin Updater *Version 0.7.3* (Plugin) on: May 02, 2018, 05:34:07 PM
Can you give a config.json with those coins?
At this point it's just a mess of bad info.. so not right now.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AwesomeMiner Coin Updater *Version 0.7.3* (Plugin) on: May 02, 2018, 05:26:26 PM
Seems there would be a glitch with the newest version, 0.7.2 is fine, only shows coins listed in config.json, 0.7.3 completely ignores config.json and what appears to be every single coin added to custom coins in AM.
Restart the program. Should be fixed now. You saw nothing.  Grin

Not a bad idea, but I'm in Ohio and solar pretty much sucks here.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: May 02, 2018, 01:35:12 PM
Not necessarily.
The problem is we only have one guy's word.
If anyone knows a good & trustworthy fpga coder, now is the time to speak up! Cheesy
I've learned to always question everything. If I can any amount of proof I'll buying 3-5 of these cards for sure.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: May 02, 2018, 01:29:59 PM
Will be buying and contributing if we can get some proof..

About to expand my farm.. looking at spending somewhere between $20,000-$40,000. Been making spreadsheets and trying to figure out what to buy.. any thoughts/input? My main concern is that Vegas are pretty much 1 trick ponies with the Cryptonight variants. Where nVidia algos seem to be easily ASIC'd. And AMD RX 500s rely heavily on ETH staying PoW..

You might want to read this thread before you go in big in GPUs (or ASICs for that matter): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3459858.0
Holy crap thanks so much. Burning through this thread.

EDIT: looks like nothing is confirmed. This smells highly of "to good to be true"
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: May 02, 2018, 12:50:48 PM
My ex-ETH farms are all finetuned to be mine CN7/Monero (470/480/Nano/390) @ 220khs... and a lower power bill.
If you can find RX570/580s - that will be a nice sweetspot, esp 570.
Anything NVIDIA, ZEC/Equihash is the safest and most profitable bet.
I gave up on the Vega project - its too expensive to implement to get too little...

If I have 40k to spare, I will get all L3+ that Bitmain can deliver below $500 a pop.
20GH/s of Scrypt is one fine farm...  Grin
Thanks for your input! Yes I would be doing ETH/Cryptonight on the RX 500s.

My only problem with nVidia say 1080tis is just how few I get and how much longer the ROI time is...

Vegas are hella good right now.. just riskier with the "only good at 1 algo" bit..

ASICs? Ewww.. I hadn't even considered them..

EDIT: I'm seeing $725 per L3+.. where are you getting $500??

EDIT2: $830 with PSU.. :puke:

It's only one with Haven (XHV) price Wink
I'm back bitches. I'll be adding this today.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: May 02, 2018, 11:28:35 AM
Is there any way I can get "xmrig-amd-v2.6.0-beta1" to run with the API enabled in SMOS? I set "--api-port 8080" but I cannot access the api.

ambient temps hit 83 today and my garage was up to 120 degrees , turned off
my 3 a3s, 6 s9s and stopped dual mining on the six rigs I was mining verge on

gotta figure out a way to cool things down, i have six exhuast fans alrrady but i need an intake
fan i think
I bought this. Works fantastic. Keeps my ~100 GPUs nice and airflown.

Wish their website had some decent priced 1080ti blower models. Looking to drop some $$$ soon and I want to go riserless..

Yeah, there were days when I was pulling like $50 per Ti per day.

What speeds were indicated before? It's the first time I have seen this miner and it is damn quick, best think since sliced bread. Well done dev and alpha release is very stable for me. I'm actually getting better results than indicated here.

That thread was a different dev/miner.
Oh my bad..
