What are your OC settings? Eth is very memory sensitive.  With my 1080ti at stock I was getting about 45Mh/s, however upping the memory +600 I was able to get around 53 MH/s.

Core : -200
Memory : +700
Power Limit : 200W

Hi,

I tried "OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2" with my 6 x 1080ti, but I only went from 35Mh/s to 40Mh/s. Anyone else in my case ?

Mystery solved !
It seems I had a very old version of SimpleMining on this rig since it was running for a very long time. So I flashed a newer version and now I go from 35MH/s to 51Mh/s. Excellent !

I have noticed with alot of the Newer MSI Motherboards SMOS just really doesn't work with them. Here is an example of several scenarios in which nothing has solved the issue.

MSI Board H270a-PRO

SMOS on usb 3.0 16gb flash drive.

Will boot up without 4g encoding enabled. ONLY runs max of 4 cards though.

With 4g encoding enabled will not boot, gets stuck on a screen with some really funky looking colors.

I have tried with the 3.0 in the 2.0 slots, 3.0 slots and I have even tried using an ssd. All the same result will not boot with 4g encoding enabled.

What does work, a Ethos usb or ssd. 4g encoding enabled and 7 card cards run just fine like a champ.

My thought is that these MSI boards need to have the OS be UEFI in order to utilize 4g encoding. That's the only difference I can see between ETHOS and SMOS is that the ETHOS drive (usb or ssd) is UEFI and not Legacy.

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Why do I get the bootup to stop with the screen filled wth all these [OK] lines and at the bottom "Please use ^D to try to continue boot" ?
The only way past this is the ctrl-alt-del and try again, and after a couple of tries I get into Simpleminer.
I have KVM over IP on the way, just to be able to bypass this remotely.

I've been having the same problem for quite a long time. Maybe usb stick is dying?

My rig so stable now that I haven't bothered testing with a new stick though Smiley

I got that after a power failure over the weekend.  I didn't have time to fiddle around.  Re-imaging the USB did the trick.  May be good to have a spare for quick swapping to minimize downtime.

Is there a code to stop the lights on our GPUs using SMOS?

If there is, I would be grateful for the help to kill my 1070tis lightshow  Smiley

Hello devs!

Can you please consider to add two new miners for 0x token ?

For AMD
https://github.com/mining-visualizer/MVis-tokenminer/releases

for NV
https://github.com/azlehria/0xbitcoin-gpuminer/releases

Thank you.

I have an MSI board running Ethos right now (1 570 + 5 580's) that I can't get to boot simpleMining.  It wants an EFI boot and I can't get it to see the legacy usb to even boot at all.  Not sure if that is the only problem but I have yet to work it out.

I think Tytanick have already included it in utility folder.

Hello,

Thanks

1. You need to connect to your rig with ssh.
2. Open a screen with : screen
3. Type : sudo /root/utils/OhGodAnETHlargementPill -revA 0,1,2,3 (where 0, 1, 2, 3 are the ids of the GPU)
4. Detach the screen with : Ctrl + A + D (so it can run in background in the screen)

Could there be a way to do it from dashboard, in the future? I do not want to open ports to access rigs through ssh...

Thank you in advance, tytanik.

Hi All,

I used to mine ETH in December with about 26 Mh/s per card. I switched the rig to mine Cryptonight until few days ago and when I tried switching back to ETH, surprise - maximum 17.5 Mh/s per card!
Anybody has any idea what changed? My cards are having BIOS modded... everything worked ok until now. Cards are RX 570 ASUS Strix 4GB (ROG-STRIX-RX570-4G).
All the time I used simplemining os since the beginning, no change. current version shows 1165

Thanks a lot!

Is there any way I can get "xmrig-amd-v2.6.0-beta1" to run with the API enabled in SMOS? I set "--api-port 8080" but I cannot access the api.
