@saddambitcoin: Expressed opinion on the form! I'm going all in with the 10x bet on monerodice  Grin

... say we win then what?

Then we could simply proceed to execute all other options as well!

203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: January 02, 2016, 06:51:51 PM
I am failing to  p0 state on my gtx 960 and gtx 970.
how can I do it with nvidia inspector?

You don't. With nvidia inspector your 9xx cards will always be stuck with P2 (which is just shy of the top memory bins). There's other ways to get there as someone else posted though.

And here's some 1st impressions on the new release:
Sync'ed from scratch in about 40 minutes on a couple years old i7 with SSD, all the while sync'ing CPU usage was just shy of 50%.
Once fully sync'ed, memory usage is around 55MB. This is on a Win8-x64 box with good connectivity.  Smiley

@DigiCube:
Any further thought about some emission control?
The one approach that I like best is to have a max stake reward, thus capping the overall number of coins that can be generated per day, while keeping the original 2000% stake percentage (depending on how aggressive or relaxed is the staking competition at any given time).
Even a high'ish number would be a good solution, would just come into play later, say, 100 CUBE max per stake for example.

At the current rates with compounding, conservatively estimating that one would stake once every 5 days, the effective result is about a gazzillion more than 2000% yearly.    Grin

Finally a serious hybrid altcoin project without an ICO/crowdfunding scam attached.
I looked into the website and wiki, but didn't find the detailed emission specifications. Is that information available yet?

Looking forward to the launch!

it's premined. guess they mine for themselve since some months.

It's 8% premined, half of which (4%) are going towards the developers, and the other half (4%) towards the public airdrop.
I second the interest on detailed emission information, PoW and PoS rewards, etc.

211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: December 14, 2015, 08:05:43 PM
Wow is ZRC still there?
I thought they were long gone? After the coin hit the exchanges it was 1 depressing downward line...

That's because the coin is not the target of pump and dump schemes, isn't being artificially manipulated (currently) and the market is thin for it, because there are no use cases yet. It isn't being accepted anywhere and we don't know firm details about what the combined company has planned for it. I got into Ziftrcoin not because I expected a quick pump and profit, or a parabolic "November 2013" manipulation to profit from, but because I believed in their business plan and their long-term goals for the coin. I invested with a five year outlook, and until they show me that they're not going to be able to deliver on the promise of the coin and the ecosystem, I'm staying put.

Hear, hear!  Me too.

I've been quiet of late due to some stuff going on IRL, but stopped by to second (or third?) this post. In addition, the merger with GoCoin has certainly pushed any roadmap they had way forward. It's still a big plus in my book, just that such business changes will obviously take a good while to materialize any public-facing results.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🎅 DigiCube 🎄 Christmas Wallet 🎄 Multipool 🎄 Hosted Staking 🎅 Bittrex on: November 27, 2015, 12:16:45 PM
I'm amazed by how many people are still minting blocks with 0 coins. Group them coins folks!!!

How about a prize for whomever staked at the highest percentage? There's some rounding taking place, and so there are some exceptional stakes just slightly above 2000%. Take submissions for a day or two, then pick the highest % winner. I haz one candidate entry  Smiley

@DigiCube: I think you missed my earlier message about the dried up faucet at Yobit.
Please see PM and just let me know if you'd want to refill the faucet or not.

@ZWGuy,

While this was not the update that I had been hoping for, I'm also not in the least surprised. Black Friday is pretty much upon us (with the customary head start by Amazon), so if anything were to happen, I figured there would have been some news about it in the past couple of weeks.

Anyhow, good to hear that you guys are seeing some merchants excited about Ziftrcoin. A strong network of users (both merchants and consumers) will certainly prove much more valuable that the usual plague of speculators that makes up for the community of most alts.
I'm just a miner and a holder, and I really do look forward to being able to spend these things!

Your post is much appreciated ZWGuy. My one complaint had been about lack of communication, and if you will post an update (even a non-update) for us here every now and then, I'm a happy camper. Thanks!

I wanted to post here and give some small updates, since I know Black Friday is only a few days away and some people are hoping we'll have something for it.

I'll get right to it then. Unfortunately, there aren't going to be any big shopping related announcements or surprises for black Friday or cyber Monday. There is a simple explanation for that though. Merchants don't want to risk implementing new tech during or just before the holiday shopping season. There is too much risk that something could go wrong and their tech resources are also usually very busy just keeping their existing platforms and websites functional due to the heavy loads. Companies in general also don't like making sweeping changes during Q4 due to balancing yearly budgets and stuff like that. Even if the merger was completed months ago, it would be unlikely we'd have seen anything this holiday shopping season.

On to some good news. Many of GoCoin's existing merchants are very interested in Ziftrcoin. I've heard it's even been a deciding factor for some of them. I think it's safe for me to say that early next year people will start to see traction as merchants begin the integration process. It's worth mentioning that the coin is a large part of the merger and not something that will just be abandoned as the two payment platforms merge. I can't really say anything about them, but there are some big plans for the coins (of course plans can change too).

Regarding the merger itself, it's supposed to happen literally any day now. From what I've heard everything is done and agreed on, it's just a matter of getting the exact legal wording done with. I know there are some press releases and announcements waiting to go out, but that can't happen until this final step is done with.

Finally, regarding the give-away, there's still decisions being made about this, but we aren't just going to turn on a giant faucet and post a link on bitcointalk. Again, plans may change, but from what I've heard, the give-away will actually be done through a variety of different methods. For example, we've had some merchants that are interested in taking part in it themselves, such as giving them away to attendees at launch events and things of that nature.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DigiCube 💁 Mulipool 💁 Pi Wallet 💁 FreeStaking.com Hosted Staking on: November 24, 2015, 01:01:01 PM
@DigiCube,

The Yobit fauced has dried up a few days ago.
Sending you a PM with the same details as before, in case you'd want to refund the faucet.

Suggestion: would make sense to set aside some small premine balance with staking enabled, for a long term faucet subsidy. Though donations to this purpose would also certainly work, so there's that.

Cheers!
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: November 24, 2015, 10:43:32 AM
Ah well, not sure this reads the right way:
1, -, -, -, -, -.

I can't get around to enjoy any of the other options, as much as I've stared at them at different occasions. The current variety of blue used in 1 is also odd for me, I recall seeing something earlier in the discussion which I much preferred. It might be the blue that I have an issue with, or the combination of both colors on that logo, not sure yet.

Anyhow, great stuff guys, both on the creative work as well as the engaging discussions on all this. Me tied up with work (more so than usual), so I have less time to spend around the forum these days. Not gone anywhere though  Kiss
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: November 23, 2015, 05:51:42 AM
does anyone have a good launch configuration or intensity setting for plain Scrypt algo for the 750ti?  I use a config file to launch ccminer and neither "launch-config" nor "intensity" seem to be doing anything.

the cards always default to auto-tune, it always sets to T30x16 and i get "result does not validate on CPU" errors.

If memory serves me right, -l T5x24 is what you're looking for.
Good chance I don't remember this properly though, you know, old fart and all  Cheesy

[...] Though, I'm curious if anyone ever used server grade high capacity PSUs for mining.

Just about everyone that has an old enough history of using ASIC miners.  Smiley

I suppose this is a bit of a late vote, but still wanted to express an opinion on this one for the record.
Looks like Moo had a very special find there, I'm all-in for the 8/9 inflation rate!  Smiley

There is a pretty intense discussion about Aeon logos happening over on the Speculation topic right now if anyone is interested in offering their opinion on it.

I've been traveling, but on and off I am keeping tabs on that thread as well, some really nice logos in the works. I'm also not sure that we really need a new logo, but some of the new design elements presented do get me excited, so there's that. Will definitely post some feedback there once I'm settled home again, and I also encourage everyone to follow/participate on that discussion!
