201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are we legally associated with advertised services? on: January 17, 2023, 10:11:25 AM
Search Engines like Google literary advertise Ponzi schemes, exit scams, phishing sites every day for so many years, but I have never heard of a lawsuit against them for advertising even when known frauds such as Ponzi schemes or 1xbit

I think this is also similar to advertised service here, except that most service advertised here aren't even scams at the time of being advertised, with a few exceptions.

Like I said before, there are sadly different rules for massive corporations where there are often little to no consequences other than fines. I don't think tech companies are immune from being prosecuted about advertising certain scams though. I'm sure the laws will change soon enough to become more in line with things like TV advertising where there needs to be standards. On Youtube and Google now it's pretty much the wild West with most people coming across scams: https://www.businessinsider.com/facebook-google-scam-ads-fraud-technology-2021-4?r=US&IR=T

Youtube probably has the technology to autoblock porn etc so I'm sure they will or can develop something similar. A human vetting the adds should be the least they do right now until they have the tech.

Majority of the campaign here do not have affiliate code
Affiliate code isn't necessary to be considered affiliated. The fact that I'm getting paid from them to advertise them does add an affiliation.

I believe people have been prosecuted from sharing darknet affiliate codes/links. Perhaps a little different as they're illegal marketplaces that sell drugs and guns etc but don't think it's above the powers that be trying to make the case that Chipmixer is also an illegal service which it may in fact be in certain countries so I would still advise caution.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 17, 2023, 10:02:10 AM
What a greedy man Francis Ngannou is. He is a living proof that if a person had poor and hungry childhood, he will think only about money. I cant believe he has left UFC even after they offered him highest payment in UFC history. Francis Ngannou only excuse was - he does not like the contract. He feels like he is a slave. He is a slave, but other are blind and dream to get into UFC. I dont believe that it is all about contract. If contract really was such a nightmare, everyone would reveal that long time ago.

I'd wait for Francis' side of the story before you make judgment and you also need to take Dana's comments with a pinch of salt as well because Dana is already seemingly trying to make the narrative about Francis being scared of fighting certain people which sounds like butthurt BS to me. Francis' coach has already come out and said Francis doesn't want to be a sell-out: https://www.instagram.com/p/CnfjW8XJuQL/

Looks like Francis himself might be going on Ariel's podcast today so hopefully we'll get his side of the story then, but when Dana said he offered Ngannou the highest heavyweight contract in history that might not mean much given how often they stiff the fighters and don't pay them what they're worth. He might have offered Francis a dollar more than the terrible pay he's previously offered superstar heavyweights and that would still technically be 'the highest pay'. He could have offered Francis a mere million or so dollars advance and you might think that's a lot but it's not when Francis can probably get that for a single sponsor on his shorts which you cannot do in the UFC so you have to take all this into consideration rather than being a slave to the UFC. What they probably did was offer Francis a large sum of money upfront for x amount of fights which will look a lot on paper but not anywhere near what he's worth. Dana mentioned he'd signed Jon Jones to an eight fight deal and I bet he tried to do the same with Francis but Francis probably isn't desperate for the money whereas Jon Jones probably is given he hasn't fought in ages and regularly gets himself into trouble so Jon will take what he can get and secure his future which is always perilous with him.

Very controversy situation with Francis Ngannou. He is inactive for a year already. I hope he knows what he is doing. So far I havent heard he has signed different contract with anyone else. But I predict that promotions will now fight for him. UFC has made him famous. Now Francis is able to select an easy path - promotion with weaker heavyweight than UFC has, and sign a big contract with them. Beat few bags, grab billions and retire  Grin

He's in a precarious place for sure. He can of course easily sign with any other MMA organisation but they probably won't pay him what he would have got with the UFC, though maybe one promotion might overpay for him and give him a massive bag to get the huge exposure and all eyes on them to take away some market share from the UFC so it might pay off that way. Hopefully he gets a mega crossover boxing even with someone like Fury which there was certainly talks behind the scenes about and Fury even posted something on his Instagram recently about it now Francis is a free agent. Making that fight is easier said than done though because everyone wants to fight Fury so he's in demand and will have a lot of mandatory challengers queuing up to fight him which he will have to take. I dare say there will likely be a Usyk rematch as well along with potential fights with AJ and Joe Joyce so it could be years before he's free.

There's a game tonight don't forget. 18 people still need to do their scores for it.

^  Wtf.  Lol...  But it wasn't really just a B squad.  It was a B+ squad.  Grin  And it's prolly the hectic schedule of fixtures during the cold of winter taking its toll on the team.  They went against Chelsea twice then Southampton all in a span of a week.  I wonder what the line was for Southampton.

But yeah, Guardiola had to cos City is going against United this weekend.  I wonder how the schedule is going to take its toll in this match.  United at 4.20 could be value.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: they're professional athletes in peak physical form getting paid hundreds of thousands to kick a ball around a pitch for 90 minutes so they should be able to play 2 or even 3 games a week. Footballers will already be training twice a week anyway so I would have thought all they'll be doing is missing a training session and playing a match instead which I'm sure they'd all much rather do. I know people who play 5-a-side nearly every day of the week and they're not getting paid to do it so I don't think it's a big ask when teams have 2 games a week or sometimes 3 over 10 days or whatever. Some squad rotation is fine but don't just treat it as a friendly that you don't really care about and just to give some benchwarmers a run about.

Tor! Tor! Tor!

All they have is a username on a forum unless they subpoena the board to get more information but I doubt that would happen just to try find out who was advertising them here.

Really?

Like I said, unless they subpoena the forum but the BFL labs case is a little different as they were probably trying to find out information about the people behind it. Also, like I said, err on the side of caution if you're worried. Law Enforcement could always decide to go after people who were advertising a service they deem illegal but unless it's a ponzi or some other scam then I think the chances of them wasting time trying to find out who was advertising a service on a message board would be slim though obviously not impossible.

I've see The US doing it with 2 or 3 huge MLM or HYIPs scams such as Genius Funds 10-15 years ago. Giving trouble to people they considered promoters affiliated. I'm talking about scams but it doesn't matter, I mean the point is they can decide you're part of the scheme
I believe those were actual employees, and not someone just advertising the services. They would've had reason to believe that x belonged to y, and that would've been included in the subpeona. Like LoyceV said; the advertisement industry would be absolutely dead if advertisers were held responsible for advertising scams. However, if you advertise an illegal service, that could potentially land you in some trouble. Since a lot of the campaigns users advertise here are legitimate businesses that have been operating for years, this isn't likely to be a concern for many.

They can and will go after Ponzi promoters etc. A fair few youtubers ended up getting into trouble for promoting these things to their audience even though they weren't directly involved they were making money from their referrals etc and spreading the scam to a larger audience. I think some even went to jail for it. Didn't some high profile celebs like Floyd Mayweather and Kim Kardashian also get into trouble for promoting pump and dumps and unregistered securities related to crypto coins as well? Those things are a little different to promoting other services but the legality of such will vary from region to region. Gambling sites are illegal in many counties for instance. I'm sure even bitcoin by itself is illegal to use in many countries too.

Purely hypothetical, but let's say either Betnomi or ChipMixer does money laundering (without the acknowledgement of their campaign participants). Are participants considered guilty, from a legislation point of view, for accepting laundered funds?
Most of the large banks in my country have been found guilty of money laundering. The banks paid a fine, management collected their bonuses, and that's it. The end.

But he's not a large bank. Banks and other large scale businesses operate under different rules to the rest of us. HSBC was caught knowingly laundering a billion dollars for the Mexican cartel and nobody went to prison. They just paid a 2 billion fine which is probably a couple of weeks profit for them and then move on. If you laundered even a few thousand you'd go to jail and pay fines. For banks it's just a calculated risk and they'll take the chance knowing that even if they get caught they'll just pay the fees and carry on.

I strongly agree with your view especially after seeing now that in the EFL cup a lot of the Premier League teams are in the quarter finals so I think how can these teams value more the second cup of England compared to FA cup?

I only have an answer for this, maybe these teams had some easy opponents along the way but seeing the history of the games didn't look like that,so I cannot understand this.I have to see in tonight games which are all Premier League teams playing, see how will they play, how much will they be motivated, maybe they think that it is easier to win this cup rather than FA as I cannot find another logic into this.

Just look at Man City yesterday. They fielded an obvious weakened B-Team and now they've been knocked out by Southampton. I didn't even realise it was the quarter finals. That cup might end up being their only chance at Silverware and now they've gone and blown it. The cups are basically only taken seriously by the smaller teams now who do their best. Forrest and Newcastle are still in it along with Southampton so maybe they might take it more seriously than Man United who are the only other club still in it, though I think United might now push for it given it's probably the only thing they're in with a chance of winning this year.
207  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are we legally associated with advertised services? on: January 12, 2023, 10:56:22 AM
You're at best a third part contractor doing promotional and advertising services for another company. Of course, the laws will be different around the world so what would happen would be different depending on jurisdiction but there's little chance you would personally be in trouble, but maybe your country has different laws on what people are allowed to advertise. I'm sure you could potentially get into trouble for advertising illegal services but I would be very surprised if someone came after you or other people who were advertising a company on some random website. How would they even know who you are? It's not like you've signed a contract with them and they have all your details that law enforcement can get if they shut down a service. All they have is a username on a forum unless they subpoena the board to get more information but I doubt that would happen just to try find out who was advertising them here. With that being said, if you're worried about something then I would err on the side of caution.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: January 12, 2023, 10:43:18 AM
Well rematch clauses are usually put in by the champ as a failsafe if they lose but they both have belts in this case so they probably don't need one, though both will likely want a chance to win their belts back should they lose. I'm sure if it's a good fight or even a close one people will want to see it again so they can probably easy make it again anyway. On the flipside both Fury and Usyk may not want to rematch if they win as there will be bigger fights and other belts to win so they might not want to be contractually obligated to go again so it's a catch 22. Rematch clauses can be annoying when they're forcing fighters to have two and sometimes even three fights which just holds the entire division up for a year and sometimes even more.
Speaking of maybe three fights when it comes to rematch clauses, Fury and Warren are looking to have three fights on 2023 which means (according to media reports) back up your comments that there will not be a rematch clause when Fury takes on Usyk.

It seems as though Fury wants to fight Usyk and after that face Joyce who happens to be mandatory challenger for the WBO belt. The final boxer for the third fight has not been mentioned but Joshua has been ruled out.

I would take that with a pinch of salt. I've lost count of how many times I've heard promoters say they're aiming for three fights in a year and then you get just the one or even zero. Pretty sure Eddie Hearn has said that about AJ for as long as I can remember and he's only fought once a year for the past three years. I'm sure in their head they want three fights to happen as that's pretty much the max a big fighter can do and obviously the more fights the more money in their pocket but as we can see it never works out that way. Just remember this post when we're in 2024 and lets see how many fights AJ and Fury have. I'm sure we'll get at least one each but I'd be very surprised if we get much more than that and certainly not three each. I'd expect three fights combined between them. With that being said, maybe we will get lucky as AJ needs a one or two tune up fights before he even considers someone like Fury and I suspect that's a big reason why that fight fell through as you'd just be throwing AJ to the wolves at that point.

There may not be a rematch clause as someone has to lose the belts in this situation but they may change their mind depending on the outcome of the fight and how well it does financially. If it's a huge money spinner and Abu Dhabi are willing to put up another chunk of cash for it don't be surprised if we see them go again. I could see either fighter wanting a rematch if they lose unless it's a very bad loss and they'd rather just move on. Of course there's mandatories that could throw a spanner in their plans as well. Personally I think I'd rather them just have the one fight then move onto other things.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 11, 2023, 02:23:26 PM
Was it really Mourinho who made the cup games "exciting" again?

I don't think it was Mourinho.I know that in England FA cup is the most valued cup by all the teams because they a couple of other cups going but not as famous as this one, this is the most important one,we saw that with lower league teams beating the hell out of Premier League sides and this says a lot about the importance of such cup.You may think that these Premier League sides underestimated the value of this cup but this is not the reality, the reality is that they were found unprepared during such matches and that is why it is better to bet both teams to score rather than money lines here,a lot of surprise results.

It was so important even in Asia that before satelite tv came with all the live shows, national TV and radio even broadcast FA Cup programmes including prematch discussions and it was a big thing that everyone would play to win.

It changed after Champions League qualification was more "valuable" than FA Cup (which doesn't qualify you).

Also lower side PL teams prefer to fight survival (and keep earning more money) than to win FA Cup.

I definitely think some teams no longer value this cup.
FA cup has history on its side, it is the oldest national competition in the world, only football of course. It still has a lot of charm, but money took away a lot from FA cup. It just doesn't pay nowhere near the money European places in the Premier League and it is normal that clubs prioritize that.

It's a shame that big clubs don't take it seriously anymore. The top ones just treat it as a friendly match for them to put out a B team to experiment with. Long gone are the days when teams would go for the double/treble. Now it just seem the PL and CL is all they care about. Some of the big clubs even get pretty far in the domestic cups and they still don't take the quarters or semis serious. Winning the FA Cup is surely better than getting knocked out in the CL at some point.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: January 11, 2023, 10:12:45 AM
I did not read anything about a rematch clause being added to the contract but they are fairly standard practice nowadays and are inserted in to almost all contracts. For both fighters, it makes sense to add it.

As for judges, you only have to look at what happened when Fury fought Wilder for the first time. Granted Fury the canvas and seemed to be on the verge of losing before miraculously getting up and dominating the fight for final couple of rounds but Fury should have been way ahead on all three scorecards yet it was awarded as a draw.

Well rematch clauses are usually put in by the champ as a failsafe if they lose but they both have belts in this case so they probably don't need one, though both will likely want a chance to win their belts back should they lose. Wait...What...The contract isnt signed yet? And this fight is only a talk right now? I thought they have a date and a place already. Then it will take months of talking, months of preparation, AJ might get involved again. Brrr... We might get another half a year or year without an interesting heavyweight boxers challenge. I think we are far away from this fight to happen. But, if this fight really happens, I believe Fury would just crash Usyk with his mass. Usyk would land more, but will get more damage. It will be either a doctors stoppage or UD by Fury.

They probably have a venue provisionally locked down i.e. they've spoke to a London Arena or Dubai and can pencil in a date when the venue is empty/free so they have something to work with. That's how these things usually work but the venues can't keep themselves reserved for ever so that's why they need to get things done and dusted and then sign with the venue as well.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: January 09, 2023, 11:33:27 AM
Looks like the fight is one step closer:

https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1296818/tyson-fury-draft-contract-oleksandr-usyk-frank-warren/

Quote
Tyson Fury’s team send draft contract to Oleksandr Usyk as Frank Warren reveals progress towards undisputed heavyweight world title fight in March

This doesn't seem like a difficult fight to get made. It seems like Fury and Usyk's camps have been on the same page before negotiations even started so there's probably not many sticking points and I think they agreed to 50/50 a while back. If the fight is to go ahead in March they'll probably get this thing signed and announced very soon.

After watching Fury go the distance on a couple of occasions recently, a points win could potentially be on the card but the danger with points decisions is that you never know if scorecard judges are even assessing and awarding properly. If either boxer clearly deserved the win but end up in a draw or dubious victory for the clear loser, then it will become very messy. I would like to see both boxers going for it but overall I think Fury will win before 12 rounds.

Yeah, you can't afford to leave it up to the judges these days as they often have terrible opinions or biases come into play. I think this could be a really boring fight and if Fury doesn't get a KO I could see Usyk winning it on points due to him being very defensive and those sorts of fights can often get them the win. I'm sure Fury knows this but it's not going to be easy to get the KO. Fury could tire him out with this size and weight advantage though. I wonder if there will be a rematch clause?
212  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: January 06, 2023, 08:26:56 PM
The Tesla Cybertruck aesthetic is definitely not one-size fits all. It's a unique and eye-catching, but personally I only admire them if someone else is driving it. Its way out there--like driving around your personality.

I just like it because it's unique and forward thinking. I don't like any of the other Tesla's as they're pretty bland and basic but this is something else entirely. I'll be pretty impressed if Elon actually get this thing into mass production without it costing nearly 100k.

Big news of the day for the Cybertruck… It’s being reported that there are no plans to equip the Cybertruck with airbags for passenger safety. Apparently as it stands, passengers are supposed to be protected by the unique design and materials used in the Cybertruck along with seatbelts. I’m sure they’ve done the testing to ensure it’s safe and will pass regulations, but this is something for potential owners to consider who may be accustomed to airbags.

I thought that would be well an truly the nail in the coffin for a UK release as I thought it was a legal requirement for cars in the UK to have airbags but I just checked and it turns out it actually isn't. I'm still not sure the build will pass UK regulations either and I'm still hoping it will be small enough to comfortably drive on UK roads.

Tesla is consistently the highest rated vehicles for safety. Just this week a family of four survived a several hundred foot drop off the side of a cliff in one… I cannot express how much more I trust Elon Musk than opinionated members of an Internet forum when it comes to car safety. I do find it fascinating that I can tell you who you vote for based on your feelings about a car. LOL. So emotional. Tanks don’t come with airbags though. I’m not concerned.

I saw that the other day and thought it was a pretty good advertisement for Tesla. I don't know whether it was just sheer luck that nobody died or Tesla are stronger than others cars.

Forgot to put my scores in for this round. I'm not gonna bother putting the ones in for the rest of the week's games and just take advantage of the default picks and see how I do. I think I'll probably do better with that to be honest  Grin. Got 2 points so far which is better than a handful of people who put their scores in and five other people are also on 2 points.

Superbru's website is totally a garbage put together Roll Eyes

I opened flashscore on two different browsers and my phone to double check if I was dreaming or some shit lol

Meanwhile Brighton is totally trashing Everton around. Lampard got alot of things to handle if he wants to survive the relegation zone by the end of the season

I wouldn't use Superbru for anything other than just putting in the scores and keeping track of them and it's perfect for that. It's definitely not for keeping up to date on the current scores etc as it can take a while to update. I just use Sofascore for that. They have an website and app. My only criticism of Superbru is like I've said before: I think you should get an extra point or two for an exact score but aside from that I haven't come across anything better or even close to it.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: December 30, 2022, 06:45:44 PM
This fight is not happening in early March. Tyson Fury I believe is a Christian devout and he will celebrate Christmas and the New Year with a bang. This means we need at least 3 months excluding the days of negotiations. I believe serious talks will only resume after the New Year as well. If an agreement, especially the major details are sealed in early January then we will expect this unification to happen in April. This fight is going to be huge no matter the location. I prefer a neutral venue though to be fair with Usyk. Middle East countries are most likely the ones with better offers unless Bob Arum will try to bring this fight to the US.

Devout Christian lol. The only church Fury will be going to every Sunday is the gym. Or the pub, but not during camp.

There is nothing to suggest Fury will avoid having the fight in and around March 2023. How devout exactly is he? It was mentioned earlier that Usyk was a religious person but seriously we are talking about multi-million pay days for both boxers therefore how much longer will they be able to delay the fight that all boxing fans want to see? If a promoter insists on it taking place in March or April and offers the money, the boxers and their teams will oblige whether they are religious or not.

I don't think it has to happen in March that was just the date they had pencilled in. If both parties know that a deal is practically done and it's just ironing out the kinks they might already start camp soon without the contracts being fully done. You don't need more than 3 months so once xmas and New Years are done with they'll likely both be hitting the gym. It's probably just some small things that need sorting regarding the contracts.

We will not see eye to eye on this therefore better to move forward  Grin

Fury vs Usyk - if the fight goes ahead, in your opinion who will win and in which round?

But Fury was running from Klitschko. It seems to me that he is afraid of Usyk and is not opposed to "drag out" the deadline for holding the decisive battle as long as possible. The fact that he offered Joshua seemed to me initially something frivolous - how could Joshua, after the second defeat from Usyk, agree to a fight in such a short time? It was unreal and everyone knew about it.

Fury on points. I don't think Usyk will get anywhere close to knocking out Tyson but he could win it on points but I wouldn't pick that outcome. The only trouble with this fight is I think it could be a boring one. Usyk is like Mayweather in that's he's a great boxer and very good defensively but not that exciting to watch.

A typical Leeds against the bigs game, and this its:

- Being a shit in defence
- Some good goalkeeper saves
- Rain of goals
- Multiple attacks for each side
- Missing some goals
- Lose

From their comeback to Premier until now this its the regular basis of Leeds. Anyways i like to watch that kind of games.
and every time they play against same or lower level teams, they disappointing us. They don't change a lot after Bielsa's departure tbh.

They were my favorite but until now in their 3rd season in PL, the only memorable match I can remember on Leeds is just when they was able to get draw result 1-1 against City in their first season Undecided

I predicted a 0-3 win for City based on Leeds not so good form during this season but I must say that I enjoyed the game yesterday night.I thought that City would be playing very well in order to show to other teams that they are still running for the title and would not concede but they did.

Yeah but City's goals made makes up for the total goal difference to matter against Arsenal.  And for City to remain in the running, they shouldn't lose one single match from here on out...  Which I think is pretty much doable for Guradiola and his boys.

City would make a good parlay piece every match day to the end of the season if the books weren't so stingy about the odds.  Cheesy  Using City at just 1.11 in a parlay has become more of a risk.  And I don't feel safe with the -2 at 1.52 either.  Lol.

What do you guys think of City to win both halves at 1.87?

I've got 3-0 as well and can easily see more. Could be a bloodbath depending on which Leeds team turn up and given that Newcastle have been stuffing teams by 3 or 4 goals.

Well, as per usual I forgot. I'm away, so that's my excuse. I'm not sure if I put in the predictions in advance, probably not. I'm away from the superbru app at the moment so I've either already put the predictions in or I've picked up a few wooden spoons Tongue. I don't think I had any chance of competing for this competition this year anyhow. It's been a rather difficult season to predict, and I haven't watched nearly as much football as I usually do this year.

You don't need the app; they have a browser site as well. Just put them in well in advance or just get in a routine of doing them every Monday or Friday or whatever day your prefer. It seems a lot of people have been forgetting with the World Cup and probably busy with the holidays. I almost forgot to do mine last round and this one. Just done them now.

It'll almost certainly happen. They seem to have agreed terms in principle and now just have to decide on the venue/county. It's the biggest fight for both of them and I think it's the first time in 20 years that the opportunity to become undisputed champion has been there so they'd be stupid to not get this fight over the line. I'm sure they're trying to wrangle as much money out of the Middle East as possible which is probably the only reason pen hasn't been put to paper yet. The only thing that could hold it up is both fighters mandatory bouts which will be enforced if they don't get this thing signed and officially done soon. I don't think either party will be as stupid to throw away this opportunity over greed.
The fight will go ahead because as you said neither party will be stupid to throw the opportunity away. If they want to maximise sentimental value it stands to reason Usyk would want it to take place in Ukraine but looking at it logically that would be almost impossible. If the boxers want to get the largest possible share of the purse the fight will probably take place in the Middle East. I think it is inevitable, Fury vs Usyk will go ahead in 2023 without either boxer being forced in to mandatory bouts elsewhere.

Even if there wasn't a war going on it's very unlikely to be held in Ukraine. These mega fights are usually either in the UK, US, or the middle east. When you've got a big British fighter the logical place is to do it in the UK so you can have that massive gate and inf ront of fans, but the middle east also practically being in the same time zone is another option since they often pay 5x the amount they'd get elsewhere and that makes up for the loss in ticket sales. Fury can't go to the USA yet either unless he gets his visa situation sorted so this fight will either be in London or Abu Dhabi. Given the amount of money Fury is gonna be wanting the latter seems more likely. They should probably try get two fights sorted and both parties will probably want a rematch so do one home and abroad.

Bumping this thread discussion rather than creating a new one, because there is another USYK-Fury fight discussion roaming around

According to the news[1], Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk location teased as promoter gives promising fight update.  The fight is planned to happen if both parties agree on a date between February 18 and March 4 next year.  They plan to hold the fight on one of the three middle eastern countries because of huge payout.

Quote
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s representatives are currently in talks with three Middle Eastern countries about hosting the proposed heavyweight unification clash in 2023. According to Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, Wembley and Cardiff are also in place as backup options

If the fight won't happen until March 4, Krassyuk claims that if the fight is not made by March 4 then it will never happen.

Hopefully, this news is not a hopium for fans.  It has been long awaited for these two giants to have a unification fight but one way or another the fight never happen and this time I hope the two camp agreed to get it on.

Payments have been sent now. Thanks everyone for participating and massive thanks to jeremypwr and Sportsbet for hooking us up with the sponsorship. Without them this pool wouldn't be anywhere near as fun.

I will leave this thread open until the end of the year and then I'll probably lock it if it hasn't already died before then.

Back to the club grind now people.
A month feels like ages. I am so frustrated that pretty sure I will be continuing shit selections for the coming few rounds. Only 7 days to restart premier league.

In Champions league is it obvious that PSG is going to win the title?

Nope. FC Bayern, of course, haha.

I can't wait for the national leagues and the Champions League to start again. Even though I'm pretty far behind in the current Premier League pool. It's about time I make up a few places there. But I don't know shit about the Premier League. So I guess it will be pretty tough. Cheesy

Nevertheless, the Champions League should also be really exciting this year. Besides FC Bayern and PSG, there are several other clubs that are good contenders for the title. IMHO, it hasn't been such an open race for a long time.

The PL pool is so long that you can slowly climb up the leader board over time. You don't need to do amazing just be consistent with slightly above average scores and you will crawl up the table. The world cup you can't afford to be average as the competition is so short. I started off pretty badly but moved up the table in the knockout stages but wasn't enough to grab a paid place (though I wasn't far off in the end but it's so close that you need every point you can get).

I will send the payments out ASAP but no later than over the weekend. Just waiting for 2 more people to send me their addresses.

Guys we really need to have one more pool prediction competition like this soon Smiley
This was so fun and rewarding for everyone who finished in top table positions, and this was one of the best world cups I watched.
I want to personally thank the whole Sportsbet team, including Steve for sponsoring, and hilariousandco for managing all this competition.

Well there's nothing you can do if you're not in the PL pool other than wait for the Euros in two years  Cheesy. Hopefully these tournaments keep growing and we can have huge jackpot one day. I'd love to aim for something like a whole bitcoin for first place eventually but we'd need a lot of players. I'm happy if we can get 50 each season now like we have done for both this and the last PL one. Each pool has grown by at least ten players so we might get there eventually.

No problem, as I said, I am not really active on the english board and don't think I ever posted on Wall Observer to be honest (maybe once or twice).
To me, 0,1 btc is a lot even at the current price of bitcoin because I only started investing into bitcoin in 2020 so It's not like I have a big stash already haha

Not bad for a 50 usd fee. That's what I like about these pools as it's a small fee for essentially a month or even a whole seasons worth of entertainment without breaking the bank or causing anyone to chase their loses.

Unfortunately, for Dana White; Paddy doesn't have the same sort of persona or skill set as Conor. Conor was so popular because of his loud mouth, but also he backed it up. He usually put people to sleep in the first or second round. If you can last longer than that with Conor you'll probably beat him.

Paddy is a little less eccentric, and doesn't have the same explosiveness in the octagon. He'll still be a star, I'm sure. However, Conor level? Probably not, and that's okay. People like Conor are rare, they're the perfect combination for the fans, and the money counters in the UFC.

He's like a diet version right now. The paddy hype train will derail very quickly if he starts losing and even more so if he keeps acting like a cunt. He's got that lovable rouge thing going on so he can get away with running his mouth more than others but that will quickly go if he starts to piss off his fans. His attitude and sucking up to Dana was embarrassing in the lead up to this fight. If the money goes to his head he'll lose a lot of respect. He's got the underdog spirit and working classes on his side right now but if he starts flashing the cash McGregor style he'll quickly become unrelatable. He's already been promoting some blatant rip off Prime Energy drink and now won't do interviews unless its on his own terms and if he becomes one of those people who will promote anything or will only do something for a quick buck he'll quickly lose support. Personally I hope he simmers down, admits that his last fight was at least very close and he can bounce back. I don't think Dana is going to give him any challenges though for his next fight or so so it looks like we'll be seeing him against bums until he shows some promise in the octagon. Without backing up his brand in the ring he'll quickly become an embarrassment if all his hype comes down to social media. I'm not sure how much of his hype if from fair-weather fans who will move onto the next hype train once it crashes.
