Unfortunately, No. All remaining coins on the new blockchain which were not claimed through the swap period were burned. This was done to ensure that the process was transparent and that no inside profiteering occurred. Some interesting fact: NEM vs IOTA:NEM can do what IOTA can do (but in another way). Connect hundreds of thousands devices (IOT) and let them communicate. All you need is a private chain. The private chain can interact with the public chain (if needed). In this way you can also handle thousands of transactions per second, like IOTA can do. For me as an investor this is/was very interesting news because i think the internet of things is one of the most promising future developments. NEM can compete in this area! I also found this project (ioNEM, https://blog.nem.io/ionem/) Minus the buggy wallet, losing your balance, having to deal with "I am very smart" developers (you've seen their attitude towards newbies and others), having to be ignored by their support, manipulation tactics, getting your balance locked away, centralization and one person decides the faith of your coins, developer's hired troll farm to pump their coin, unsupported claims to nonexistant tech (quantum resistant  ). You get the idea, NEM was created in reality not in some fantasy land. |

Yea NEM is not realy keeping up with the other big coins at the moment.
But if we break through the 0,25$ and it can stay above that. I can see it increase to 0,29-0,34$ in no time.

It's not really an alt. It's possibly nearly a billion dollars of buying created out of thin air but no one really knows. Any FIAT/CRYPTO gateway should be considered the doomsday device then, the people coming into crypto space now are mostly dealing with FIAT->BTC not FIAT->USDT->BTC. I can see traders being worried, not so much average joes who plan to hodl. I don't see the reason to panic honestly. |

Hey Dev.. Why do you steal code, without giving respect to who coded it?? You have stripped the MIT licensing form the headers files and removed the link back to the repo you cloned it from. You act like you had anything to do with the source you are using... Care to explain?? Or are you just a scam artist??
@s3v3nh4cks the dev was upfront about cloning from pivx and then improving on it.If he missed changing some headers, no need to get agitated and the devs will fix it soon if anybody brings it to their attention.You yourself cloned PIVX from DASH and dont act butthurt when other teams clone from PIVX repo. PHORE is the cheaper version of PIVX now, until the devs start rolling out features.It still time for you to get on the train Have to agree here, the dev of Phore has not denied the PIVx clone claims. He has been open about the cloning claims. |

If the whole exchange manipulation of Tethers pans out in the way i think it will, i'd expect NEM to be worth about 10 cents a coin in the coming year, possibly less.
ALOT of coins, bitcoin in particular, are going to implode once this huge exchange ponzi tether scam is blasted out in the open. This is the "bubble" that people have talked so much about, except it's an entirely artificial one, it's worse than we first thought.
All orchestrated by exchanges. The bane of Crypto existence. Might be worthwhile investing in any decentralized exchange projects if any of them are going on. I foresee them getting very popular soon.

Coins marketcap going from 200bn to 300bn and XEM is stable WTF? one month now XEM is at same price Nem foundation selling bots is my opinion. There is a constant small wall soaking up any buys and is refilled 24/7. They are spending a lot of money on their centers and wages etc. Where do you think they are getting it? btw this theory is based solely on the poloniex order books as I haven't been following the other exchanges So I guess I'm not as crazy as many seemed to point out when this first began to happen . You're not the only one who has pointed this out. Let's hope all of this is being done to have the best distribution from all of cryptoland. How do I know my masternode is still active? I know there is a bug when it shows missing that it could actually be active, is there some time I have to wait after depositing the 10k PHR to the account before it starts staking?

Thank you, I will try this but at the moment it might have seemed that I forgot to enable the VPS swap space. When forging, the node would get stuck so I will see if the swap space is the problem. If after activating your masternode, it keeps going "missing" then try to enable your swap space. This situation could happen if you upgrade your masternode or restart your VPS, then just confirm that the swap space is enabled otherwise your masternode will run out of memory when forging a block and shut off. |

Yes. There are loads of examples of that around at the moment. It seems to be affecting older accounts that they're retrospectively sticking verification on. New accounts verified from minute one seem to have far fewer problems. It also looks like they're clamping down on nationalities they previously didn't care about. I haven't had any issues myself and support stuff has gotten answered every time within 1-24 hours, but I'm just one little person. Exactly like gentlemand said, they have started to enforce verification on legacy accounts and limiting the withdrawal amounts but sure do take as much as you would like to deposit . Limiting trading on newer accounts, doesn't really seem like a good idea for traders who want to purchase large amounts of coins. |

But this is a NEM discussion thread, let's get back to topic Oh, do we have to? I had no idea IOTA was that warped but I've never paid any attention to it. Getting Bitfinex was a coup but it does say something rather loud that it hasn't gone on any other exchanges since. It's a nice concept, it's just obvious at the moment how manipulated it is. And the concept is nice in the way that sometime in the future quantum computing will be a thing. Not at the current time. |

Instead you see very shady marketing tactics so IOTA's problems are not known to those barely finding out about the coin.
IOTA is not the only one to use such manipulation tactics, bitcointalk has recently been getting attacked by a botnet posting nonsense.
Be wary of these projects that claim to do the impossible.
It is not only IOTA, any other top 10 coin has more reddit readers. And I don't think that it is all manipulated, it seems like there is a relation to the trading volume! When there's over 354 TiIOTA locked away that users cannot get to and only one exchange that has it listed makes you wonder if it's not manipulated. Not only that, when asking about when the funds will be sent to the users of IOTA, all you get is "You must not be doing all the steps correctly" from the same accounts that keep posting in that thread. I am saying this as someone who has held IOTA since it was listed on the NXT AE by some of the early investors. But this is a NEM discussion thread, let's get back to topic |

Guys, I remember that Long said that NEM will order a big marketing agency next year! Do you guys know where I got this from, or was it a dream! And yes, we need marketing urgently! We are still wasting time, the market is growing so fast at the moment, but NEM is fading into darkness. We are maybe losing a unique opportunity! I don't understand why NEM can't do simple basic advertisement? Do some advertisement in cointelegraph or Google, Facebook, whatever... Just to let people know that we are alive! They are marketing i believe but mainly to businesses through various talks. There is also the weekly youtube videos which are very good but not published very much. I agree though that more should be done on the public side of things as brand awareness is so important. Look at Eth and the way they got attention. There is no point in having the best tech if no one knows about it. The crypto scene moves very fast and every platform is fighting for attention. Nem needs to fight also. I agree! The NEM team is talking about the big community grow in the last months, but this get's ridiculous when you compare it to other coins. Just take a look at IOTA, they are in the market for about 6 months now! They have over 30,000 reddit readers, NEM has 7,700 !! what the hell is going on? I am sorry to say this, but this is a shame for NEM! I am really a huge fan of NEM and will not sell one XEM, but we have to be honest and try to solve the problems which are obvious!
