201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banking system on: April 26, 2020, 11:44:26 PM
I think more than likely banks will hold on to fiat until they can no longer and then they will start using blockchain technology. It will be interesting to see what they will do or why people would use it over decentralized currencies. Perhaps for security and the ability to possibly reverse payments? I can't think of any other reason why someone would use centralized crypto over decentralised.
202  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: btcclicks rent refs worth it? on: April 26, 2020, 11:36:50 PM
paid-to-click sites have never been worth the time and effort, let alone spending money in them! and the site(s) paying in bitcoin are no exception either. all of them also have traces of Ponzi schemes in them as they "sell" you something (ie. referrals) to make more money but what happens is that they are paying you back with the same money you paid them.

Never worth the time or effort... whatever.

I withdrew almost 3.4 BTC from btcclicks.  Shocked

It's no ponzi, it's an advertising service. I happen to like paid to clicks.

I have 5000 or so direct referrals, and granted my account is old.

Never, say never.

 Grin

Yea exactly. Some of these people don't know what they are talking about. This is how it should work. THe site is paid 100% they give 50% to the people who click ads. 25% to the refs. They still have 25%
Some places are not honest though. Many of these ptc sites do not operate as they should and offer much to high of a return in order to attract people. Doing it legit would attract far less people.
btcclicks is legit though.

Another thing they do is use bot refferals or have advertising packs. those packs work as a ponzi. The refs do not act as a ponzi they are simply paid out fairly or use a bot.

How much do you make there each day?
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: April 25, 2020, 11:59:07 PM
You are very right, i equally agree that the success of any ieo projects depends solely on the type of exchanges used.

If you consider recent events, hackenai chose wrongly when it selected oceanex, the ieo crawled to perfection and only a round conducted i suppose.

The only coin that had immense success that i can remember outside kucoin, Binance and OKEx is the sero platform that happened on gateio.

Nonetheless, always dyor and ensure to pick your profits

How can you say solely? So the project doesn't matter at all? The platform it launches in should ideally be trust worthy and have a good reputation but saying its solely based on that is just not true. How about a token or coin that can be used? Wouldn't that be nice? Otherwise, it just becomes about how it's being launched on the exchange merely to sell.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to know whether it is right to join bounties? on: April 25, 2020, 11:54:00 PM
There is nothing wrong with it but I think people do it the wrong way around. Ideally, people would join a bounty in the projects that already interest them or they believe in. Instead many people are blindly following any bounty with only making money in mind which is funny because some people just make bad decisions and even keep working for bounties that have been proved that they will not pay. Your time is important.
If you invest your time into promising projects you understand and like the sound of then, that is fine. The problem is when people blindly follow any project and often don't know a thing about it.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Minereum- Another Ponzi Scheme ? on: April 25, 2020, 11:32:51 PM
For me, Minereum looks like a scam project - they have airdropped their tokens to thousands of wallets, but the tokens are locked until you pay some ETH. Even after that, it takes years until the full unlock.

These are the little details noone agrees with. Only dishonest scams will not be clear about how things work. When they ask for money in order to "unlock" something or another thats when you know beyond a doubt that it is a scam. You must pay and there is a massive unlock period? These little details make it hard to trust them and just makes things more confusing and is unnecessary.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways To Distribute & Promote a New Coin on: April 25, 2020, 11:24:23 PM
You should already know about bounties since you should have already explored the forum. The thing I feel is the most important when you promote is not just how you promote but what you promote. Even if your promotion is not so good if your you have a product you miles ahead. Most projects are not even projects yet they merely ideas. Most have no real-world use and their coins/tokens are worthless other then what you get for them on the exchange. You need your projects tokens/coins to have its own value that can be used without having to first sell it for BTC eth LTC or other major cryptocurrencies.
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Covid-19 a cause for BTC price drops? on: April 23, 2020, 11:30:22 PM
The virus has made things uneasy for people and it is not just the virus but the fact that many industries have come grinding to a halt and this would certainly have an effect on bitcoin if fewer people are making money there is less to spend in bitcoin. It just makes sense to me.

I think is it possible it is not impossible,Because covid-19 is the very dangerous virus in the world,  many people L
Already death for this virus, and many people now seeks for this,  so almost 2.5 million people already seeks for this virus so i think many people withday her /sher money for good treatment so i think  it is possible

Who told you it's the most dangerous virus in the world?? More than the black plague?? Stop spreading misinformation.

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: April 23, 2020, 03:02:26 PM
People need to appreciate their own time more and respect it. There is nothing wrong with wanting extra income and being willing to work for it is great. The problem is these mindless drones of people just signup to any project and just use spammy accounts. This ruins things for other hunters and many times these people do not even check if the project is a scam or not. Sometimes I feel people like wasting their time.

Please take the time to do full research about the project you do bounty for. You work for money that you invest into tokens or you work as a hunter and earn tokens. Either way, you work. So do not work for no reason.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: April 22, 2020, 11:35:31 PM
Where does it say $0? On the wallet? Have you tried to look for pairs? In the mew wallet, even coins with $0 value have value elsewhere. Not all the exchanges are there.
You should never delete a wallet file or burn tokens. Just keep them. It costs you nothing to keep them but could cost a lot if you lose them. The chances they will be worth anything are slim but still there.
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and mental health. on: April 19, 2020, 11:31:27 PM
Well, actually my mental health is fine, as long as bitcoin is above $7000 haha
I think it's better if it went up to $10,000. My brain will be at ease and relaxed, no mental health issues.

I'll gonna be more patient on this since bitcoin halving is near and pumping is possible.
The current price of BTC now is $7027.18, let's wait for a month.
The connection between Bitcoin's price and mental health is real lol. Whenever Bitcoin's price is going down those people who bought at a high price are getting serious migraines and headaches.
Every one of us is dreaming of a new ATH for Bitcoin but no one really knows when it will happen.

Yes, but you can't be like that. Otherwise, you will end up obsessing and literally watching the price charts. It is won't help it will make you feel worse and in this state, you make your worst decisions. Worrying about bitcoins price means you in it for the wrong reasons to begin with and you will send yourself to insanity. Panic buying and selling and anything are done on emotions like that usually leads to bad decisions and loss, which only serves to further the anxiety and mental health even more.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive Bitcoin Sextortion Scam Emails Sent to U.S Users - DON'T PAY on: April 19, 2020, 11:25:23 PM
I got one of these. I looked at it because the title was clickbait and I am very curious and wanted answers. I admit my heart did sink for a few seconds then I realized obviously there is nothing to worry about. One thing does bother me though. They use a single password as "proof" they have hacked you. The password involved the name of a very old gf that I had in 2010 lol so I don't know where they got it from. Maybe its one of those stuffing dumps people use to try hack into different accounts but still? How did they get that? It still bothers me that one of my passwords was seen.

Anyway, I replied to the email because I was curious about what sort of videos they could have been talking about? Yes, I watch porn I am not ashamed of it. My webcam drivers don't work so I have never used my webcam before. They also told me they had remote access. If they had remote access they wouldn't need me they could get my passwords and stuff and private keys themselves.

I told them I was very excited to see what they post and I hope they send it to everyone I know ^^
Obviously, this was just for fun. The email didn't even get reviewed the sending email must have just been one of many spam accounts set up for this.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why bitcoin is unique. on: April 18, 2020, 11:30:50 PM
I wouldn't want to transfer that kind of money any other way for that exact reason. I don't like the idea of paying someone something insane like 3% of all my millions of $$$
Not even for massive amounts. Even for smaller amounts, it is much better than traditional methods of payments. I won't ever turn back to fiat other than being forced to use it for certain things.
But I am always grateful for when I can use it and take full advantage.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5G & Bitcoin Risks? on: April 18, 2020, 11:02:29 PM
What on earth are you talking about? You sound like a crazy paranoid person. If you are living in a country that would go that far to restrict you using a digital currency like bitcoin then why live there? You may as way have a dictatorship or probably already do. In a country like that what our rights do they take from you?

for example if I want to pay for my coffee or groceries using bitcoin on my phone connected to 5G then will 5G block the payment leaving me no choice but to use the government centralised digital coins or tokens?

Yeah, it will also scan your body and if they realize you don't have an uptodate chip with your social commitments to the NWO  a drone will be dispatched to...dispatch you

If somebody would want to block transactions they don't need 5G for that.
Packet sniffing can happen on anything, even on 3G or 4G or the McDonalds free wifi (which surprisingly some use to access the forum).  Grin

For example if whatsapp want to censor the word Bitcoin in messages then the 5g network can process that without WhatsApp AI servers doing it.

Nope and also none of the above.
You're understanding something wrong, attributing some magical power to a technology and a protocol.
It's like asking if the blockchain can stop you from buying marijuana over the dark web.

Because it would be the most efficient, and effective way to attack, and stop Bitcoin, and remove censorship-resistance, its main value-proposition.

Most efficient? Lol...what about transactions done via cable?
I told you a hundred times, rather than going to all this trouble of finding blocking solutions when not even 0.1% of the population has 5g ready phones and nobody knows how many bitcoiners are actually making transactions over 5g or will ever make one (I for one have no wallet right now on my phone), they can simply ban usage.
40 years in prison for engaging in anything related to bitcoin.
In two days after the US and EU do this, the crypto space will be a wasteland.

Stop trying to envision sci-fi scenarios and mysterious conspirations, if they want to stop it they won't be doing it by sniffing mobile data.

The Governments managed to synchronised together and get 3 billion people in Lockdown though. It seems the whole world lockdown is done by 1 centralised world government with countries following orders.

So imagine what they can do Bitcoin if they decide to ban it. And if such event happens then what can the bitcoiners do?

If government can do this on a huge scale in little time then

Bitcoin is not like a virus is doesn't threaten your life and it is easy to catch someone outside when they shouldnt be but its almost impossivle to prove if someone has bitcoins. Next thing you going to be telling me that the goverment wants to see your HIV status and blood type as well? You saying you wouldn't use bitcoin? People break laws all the time for years. Stupid laws that should never have been laws to begin with are broken all the time. Why should we not be able to ad as we please as long as we harm noone? Who gets to decide that? Why should we listen to it to begin with? Because of a few people in congress?
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the dream of crazy on: April 18, 2020, 10:52:56 PM
...

Huh This made my day a bit brighter. Very nice story. I particularly like the part where you gave away your private key. Can I have the keys to your car or/and house? I promise I won't steal anything. You can totally trust me I am a random stranger online. ... -_-

I can't tell if this story is true or just a troll using bait for a reaction.

This must be a joke right? Seriously are you kidding here? I am surprised that some comments were applauding you , it seems they didn't read your story.

Why would you give your private keys to someone you don't know, just a random person you met on Facebook? Why didn't you look for a way to sell your coins, instead of giving it to someone else? Seriously, you brought this upon yourself, though I still feel sorry for you, but it could have been avoided so easily if you did the right thing. Google is always for anyone that needs information, when I started new, I wasn't asking for information, rather I kept using Google to research .

Because that is not the point of the story.
Him, being called crazy for working his ass and trying to make money out of crypto currency.
He made the error and I bet he knew it already and now he is coming back with high hopes.

xD I wonder how far fetched a tale people could tell you? It is amazing but even if you make up complete nonesense there will always be at least someone who believes it.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: April 18, 2020, 09:33:43 PM
That isn't anything new. Many people approach you on social media. If they say they want to make money with you to be very careful. The whole idea sounds silly. Why would the owner give a mod the power to make a bet win or lose? If they know his address he could just make another. Also the amount scammed is not that much. You would make much more just going straight and running a legit casino.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 18, 2020, 08:55:58 PM
I have always thought that the price would go way up during a halving but history has proved not so. It does make more sense to go up and since bitcoin has been around quite some time I think this halving will effect the price more than the previous ones. If the price does drop though I think it would be the best time to buy more bitcoin. I see most are with me on this.
217  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is ExpressCrypto legit or a scam? on: April 17, 2020, 11:28:31 PM
What bad review? Where? I have been using them for a few months and they seem just fine to me. I like that they have a built-in exchange to help faucet owners spilt up their different currencies for their faucet users.
They have a chatbox on the site so I don't think a website that scams people would have that. This is why I am interested to know where you found these bad reviews.
218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this A Misdirected Coin? on: April 12, 2020, 05:28:27 PM
Dude you are not posting enough info. Tell us more. It is strange but hey its free bitcoin. I would not worry about it. Just show your appreciation by spending the money well or investing it. Enjoy it.
But really you need to tell us more. Does this exchange have a name? When did this happen? How much was sent? What recent events or actions did you take before this happened?
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto over health on: April 12, 2020, 05:24:00 PM
Ok firstly "protective equipment" doesn't exist the virus goes through the particles of a mask and secondly this stuff doesn't cost so much that you need to "earn it back" YOu will spend much more on food and other things then on "protection" THe best protection is to stay away from people and keep clean. This whole thing started because people couldn't keep clean.

There is a general saying that Health is wealth. if you failed to treat yourself or hide sickness due to any reasons know to you, you will die and leave the wealth for the living. this is not the time for accumulating wealth when you are not in a healthy state. stay safe. stay at home and avoid social distancing.

The funny thing is many people sacrifice their health for wealth but as they get older it is the other way around. Silly right?
220  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should avoid gambling for beginner on: April 12, 2020, 05:20:32 PM
I have slightly mixed feelings. I don't support gambling or do it. I have in the past. I would like to say that I believe we all have the right to do as we please with our money and if you want to gamble that is fine but limit yourself. If you do not limit yourself you can very easily gamble everything you have in a single sitting. Hell even if you a millionaire you can lose all of it. The amount you have doesn't matter since you can risk it all if you want. Even Bill gates could go broke if he gambled every single cent.

The other side is that people that win big never regret the gambling they have done and you can never win if you do not play. I think gambling is fine as long as you set a limit. Gambling can be your hobby but never spend more than your allowance and some people such as myself have a personality that just doesn't suite gambling at all. Be safe guys and don't gamble your life away.
