2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 14, 2019, 08:48:42 AM
Warriors had a blowout loss today losing to Portland 107-129. Trailblazers had good contribution from the whole roster with NINE players in double digits and Lillard scoring 29 points on top of it. On the other hand, just Durant and Curry managed to reach double digits scoring 32 each.
Nice game hustle for the Trailblazers, props to them. It is very rare to see a solid line up like GSW get beaten in a game, and take note, with a double digit lead. Anyway, if Durant and Curry are the players who carry the team then what happened to Thompson? Hmm, it seems that he is not so lucky today lol, what a very unusual scenario Grin. (Sorry I wasn't able to watch their game)
2002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: February 13, 2019, 10:04:05 PM
Criminals are everywhere, even if you’re in the house you can still be the target, gambling makes no big impact on this because of few gamblers are being robbed before but we must still be on the safe place everytime we play.
Well, every casinos got a high security personnel inside or even in the vicinity to avoid these instances so there's nothing ro worry about in that matter, the only problem is when you go outside already. As a mitigation, hire a body guard if you can afford simply because it's for your own good and besides it is chaper to give monthly salaries than losing money from a robber Grin. But if you can's afford to do this then there are still ways suitable for you like always having a taser gun or a pepper spray and these will be more efficient if you've got some even a little bit of self-defense techniques.
2003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: February 13, 2019, 02:43:27 PM
Match fixing is one of the problem we will face on sport bets and you need to follow the big better to kniw what is going to happen.
I agree somehow but these scenarios are occasional which only happens especially in the Finals/title fights of every game (IMO). But if we are talking to a simple match, I think a particular investor will not invest so much money just for fixing a match because it is not practical to do at all.

Better not to be greatly involve in gambling cause it won't give more profits to us.
No, there are some cases where an individual got so rich because of gambling, just look on the most popular poker stars in the world. However, not all the people got the same perspective. It is inevitable to see people engaging with gambling simply because of one reason — source of "easy money" and that's very sad to know.

But nonetheless I also believe the same thing. For me, gambling is not advisable to set as a primary source of income; working for a job or doing a business are still the best.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: February 13, 2019, 09:35:10 AM
The result? Those persons are now broke , divorced from their wives and are miserable right now. What I want to say is that a strategy can only work for a very short amount of time and not in a continuous way.
In my opinion  it is unfair to easily conclude that making strategies are pointless because at the end of the day you will lose. Strategies, even if it is as complicated as having mathematical calculations or as simple as a smart guess, are still beneficial. If you are losing then it could be either your strategy doesn't suit to your game or the problem is within in you. I mean, you will not really have a bright future even how effective your strategy is if you are a "One day rich man" or uncontrollably spend your money to buy not so important things — in short, not a wise money holder.
2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If... on: February 13, 2019, 08:43:10 AM
Hmm if assuming that I get addicted un poker for example, I think of so many things that could possibly happen to me. First, maybe I will stop studying not only because of wasting a lot of money coming from the losses I got from gambling but also because I already lose my time and interest to it. I also see myself becoming a robber or drug pusher or a person who desperately do anything just to earn money. And since luck is not on eveyone's hands then I might end up as a beggar or at least a broke and helpless teenager who regret his bad decisions in life and now jealous to his batch mates who are succesful in the present Sad

Anyway, that's only a what if. I guess I will never be that kind of person since I knoe to myself that I am disciplined and have self-control Grin.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 13, 2019, 05:05:12 AM
Meanwhile, the Lakers loss on the road tonight against the Hawks, I also loss my bet on this one as I think Hawks is a worst team in the NBA
and the Lakers will do better since they are chasing for the playoff spot.

It's juts another bad day for us.
Hehehe and what a good day for those who bet in favor of Hawks, I just wonder if there is someone who bet on them Grin since all of us knew the fact that their chances of winning is low although the results are opposite. Well, that's normal, sometimes unexpected things happen, if it is favorable for your side then that's good but if it's not then better luck next time.

It's just surprising and funny to think at the same time that Lakers able to beat Celtics which is a very strong team but lose from Hawks Grin

2008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: February 12, 2019, 10:12:41 PM
thats true because when i was on high school i see many students that playing different kinds of gambling in the school campus . other times i can also see them outside of the school playing billiards with money involved  .  even myself i was also addicted to gambling . when you are addicted , you will try to do your bad habits anywhere you like even if its risky .
A typical highschool life back on those days but it seems until now. I remember that I often not go to my class during my highschool days because I'm always either playing billiards or playing DOTA with my friends (bad influence ones like me) and with placing bets of course.

Anyway, past is past. I already stop doing such things and now more focus in building a good future but I'm still grateful with those not so good experiences because I learned many lesson from it and triggered me to make life realizations Smiley.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: February 12, 2019, 01:24:00 PM

Young people always wanted to make money without following the hard way and that is why gambling has become the major way many of them thing they can make easy money from the market.  Young people are also more advanced in technology and most of gambling companies are now online.
Hmm, why would you think young people are getting more eager to earn money? I think this is not because of good advertising or the lastest trends bit because of family issues. For me, the main reason for this is the lack of attention from their parents which could be either their parents fail to give their basic needs or their parents deceased that's why they are forced to do easy money yet risky things. Such things tend young ones to become rebel thus can be easily influenced by the bad stuffs in their external environment like different kind of vices including gambling.

This is the sad truth Sad.
They just make their childhood dream of becoming a millionaire through gambling but they never know it won't work 99.9999% in people's life.
You have a point, we can't deny the fact that most of the minors nowadays taking their life not too seriously,, in short easy-go-lucky. They are getting used to being spoiled which makes them think that sustaining life is very easy and not complicated as we think. That's why I'm really amazed those poor hardworking people simply because they knew that reality is harsh and find ways to keep living, it was so impressive that they can survive their everyday living despite of the odds.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 12, 2019, 12:36:15 AM
Well hopefully i see another cain like the brock lesnar fight. Ngannou's striking should be his advantage but i think cain is one of the most well rounded heavyweights ever to enter the octagon. Though it's a question if he can be the old cain since i'm seeing seasoned vets get beaten quite often recently.
Yes baby Yes! I'm hoping for the same thing as well Smiley. I want a bloody and brutal 5 round fight from them, I already get bored in "one shot, one kill" type of fights. However, I don't think they would maintain the energy 'til the end simply because Ngannou is not a fighter that could last long and Velasques on the other hand got a very long break so I guess his body is not the same as before.

Nonetheless, I'm still very excited for their fight. They got their own strengths so it's very hard to predict who's gonna win but I'm a Velasquez fan so I'll go for him.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 11, 2019, 03:15:26 PM
I respect Westbrook more than Durant, at least he didn't go and join a 73 win team that was already loaded just to get an easy path to a championship ring.
Ohh! That was harsh but true Grin. We have the same sentiment, even though Westbrook is boastful inside the hardcourt (I just don't know if he is the same outside) I still appreciate him because, first he is really strong and definitely got a talent so boasting is not an issue since he support it with good performance which sometimes even beyond expectations; and second, he remains loyal to OKC through the years and retain his pride wirh his team unlike KD who go to GSW just to have a greater chance of becoming a champion.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum Prediction and Info Thread on: February 11, 2019, 01:05:47 PM
<snip>
With the kind of surgery he had, i am not sure he will be back anytime soon, he might need atleast four to six months to fully recover, he was not competing for almost one year after the brutal fight with Romero and Romero did not fight either, that fight took a lot out of both the fighters and now the unexpected surgery
Gosh! What an unlucky Whitttaker but at least he showed to us the he still want to fight despite of the hernia injury. However, that was not an advisable decision at all that,ls why the fight postponed. Props for Whittaker for being courageous.
i think there will be an interim title on the line if Israel Adesanya can fight in the next few months against Kevin Gastelum and the winner gets the champion.
Okay, it that will be the case then that's great. I think there would be no problem at all since Adesanya's fight against Silva didn't give him a lot of damage. I guess Adesanya is now on his road to 17-0 Grin (just my prediction).
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum Prediction and Info Thread on: February 11, 2019, 12:11:45 PM
^  Sucks for Gastelum.  I think Dana White should do the right thing and let Gastelum fight either for the title vs Whittaker asap or let Gastelum fight Adesanya for the interim title asap.  It should be good for everybody involved either way imo.
Chill dude, let's just wait for match to happen. I'ts pretty obvious that Gastelum is the underrated here but I still do believe in his talent. Remember that he will not come up to this point if he is not deserving Smiley.

Anyway, I'm really disappointed on the postponed fight of Whittaker and Gastelum, but well, the health of Whittaker is at risk so it was understandable. I hope he get well soon for their match to be rescheduled as soon as possible.
2014  Local / Pilipinas / Re: It's a bear market. Are you ready to go full time? Ano ang magandang gawin? on: February 10, 2019, 10:20:50 AM
Uunahin ko ay ung trabho kung saan sigurado ako na kikita ako ng pera. Ayaw ko makipagsapalaran sa pagsali sa mga campaign na wala naman katiyakan na kikita ka.
Wise choice my friend, actually you are one of the few members that I saw which is not depending too much in the profits from joining sig campaigns. I'm glad that you are not the type of person who already left his job because of campaigns (I guess the worst case) becasuse I knew someone and it sucks. I can't even imagine why on earth did he do that. I wonder what he is doing right now especially that sig and bounty campaigns are very rare nowadays, hmm Huh.

Anyway, just continue learning here and maintain being a good member at the same time. Good luck Smiley.
2015  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Inspire other to use Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency on: February 10, 2019, 06:25:53 AM
You nailed it. People are more interested in the money they could get through crypto and not to the essence itself. Yeah! I'm not hypocrite do deny that money is not a big deal for me, what I'm only saying is that let's try to embrace its concept at the same time by supporting and believing that this could be the future of financing.

You know what, we are the same. I also once persuade people (mostly my classmates and friends) to try investing in cryptocurrency. I told them that they can earn a lot from here and surprisingly everyone became interested, but after the moment I told them that they can also lose a lot then they suddenly backed out. I continue encouraging them, explaining the ways to avoid losses and other cool facts about btc but in the end I failed.

The lesson I learned from that experience is that it is very effective to encourage if there is a money involvement, however, this is only temporary because one's perspective might change so fast after they knew the consequences and risk of investing on such thing. That is why I already quit encouraging others, I'm now looking for a person who can appreciate the other traits of crypto (e.g. Anonymity, decentralization, fast transaction etc.) more than the fact that you can earn here.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino with Instant Deposit and Quick withdraw on: February 10, 2019, 04:20:51 AM
Waiting for 15-2 minutes should not be so much of a big task mate. Some site actually delay for days.
If you have the right genuine gambling site then your winnings are assured
I agree, that's not a hassle at all (IMO). Actually, it is a lot faster than withdrawing my coins from my wallet. @OP ~ And besides, Sportsbet is proven and trusted already so are you still willing to prioritize the faster transaction over the credibility of the gambling site you are about to enter?
2017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever exist in currency notes? on: February 10, 2019, 02:42:30 AM
Indeed, its hard to imagine if bitcoin printed in paper. Bitcoin is digital cryptocurrency and its created because hard to duplicate transaction. If bitcoin printed in paper money, there must be authorities to track the transaction and i think its almost impossible
For me it is possible (it was too easy to create some unique paper and put the logo of btc in it) but the question is will they do it? Let me answer it also Grin, of course not! Where is the essence of being a digital currency if it has a physical note? If it happens then it will be the same with USD, GBP and other currencies present, it is no longer different from the others. The bottomline is much better if we let btc remain on its form.
2018  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most problem facing in the market? on: February 10, 2019, 01:56:34 AM
some of us are bankrup and backout and doughful to invest our money in the market.
Well, that's the life of a crypto investor, sometimes you earn sometimes you lose. Above all, the important thing is know your limit where you can only afford to lose so that you will don't regret too much if such bad scenario happens. Based on my experience, I withdrawn my savings after hitting .05 coming from .075. A lot of loss right? But still, I can endure the pain because that is only what limit to myself.
How can we solve it? and what is the good advice that you can help in this problem.
So simple but very hard to attain — more investors.
2019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet rank on: February 09, 2019, 11:41:01 PM
Thank you all for the answers! I ask for the rank because I don’t wanna put all crypto in one wallet. I prefer to separate in several wallets. Personally, I think the exchange is not safe to keep our crypto.
Good choice! Disseminating your assets into multiple wallets is good because you can avoid One time, Big time loss if ever the wallet you are using got hacked. However, this is hassle a little bit since wallets nowadays already required KYC which you need to fill up but nonetheless everything is beneficial as long as the wallets you choose are all legit. (But if you want to store verry big amount of coin then for me one cold storage is enough).

Good luck to you Smiley.
2020  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Filipino crypto users on: February 09, 2019, 01:03:57 PM
Luckily as I noticed the numbers of newly comers here are decreased because of the implemented merit system which spammers are hard to gain even single merit as a required to rank up and probably they will get tired on that and quit in spamming the forum.
And I hope that system will stay forever. Yeah! I know that the traffic generated by each one of us matters a lot for this forum because it is the soul which keeps it alive, however, huge traffic is not worthy if most of it only composed of nonsense stuffs. If I will be asked for my opinion regarding this issue over and over again, I still show my support to merit system (no hesitations at all). I would rather choose to suffer from not able to rank than watching spammers, scammers, shitposters and even bots can easily pollute our forum.

I'm also curious about why there are a lot of people who know cryptocurrency and not know bitcointalk. There are a lot of people that I talked to who are into trading crypto but is not a member, so I wonder where they get info or something like that.
Probably because they are too focused on doing their personal business and just get answers for their queries like the usual — through Google and Youtube.
