S Gill is just a 23 year old Indian batter and they way this guys has been batting it seems by the age of 32 he might break the records set by Kholi. After his maiden 100 in T20 format he became the 5th India batter to score a century in this format. Lost interest in the match after Newzealand lost thier first wicket at a very early stage. SKY took two incredible catches yesterday at the slip. No one expected that he would be able to grab those balls.
2022  Local / India / Re: What are your expectation from Union Budget 2023? on: February 01, 2023, 01:19:53 PM
As you said none and the same I feel here. The budget got rolled out today, as usual, there is nothing for the cryptocurrency community. The good thing about this budget is that the salaried class gets some benefits. The worst part I assume here is that they would increase GST to cover the loss. I must say these guys are cunning!

Why they ignore us because according to them earnings from crypto are gambling but earnings from the stock market are not. There are many here who have made a living out of the cryptocurrency business. I still feel sorry for those guys! My advice to them is that It is better to leave this country and move to a location suitable for this business.

I do not think England would be able to win the last match of this ODI series. South Africa has been playing brilliantly in this series. Bowlers have not been that effective but their batters have been in form. I never expected them to chase 340+ runs in the second ODI. England is struggling with thier bowlers  and I am expecting them to perform in the same manner in today's match too.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 01, 2023, 11:05:55 AM
India VS Newzealand

The final T20 match which also the series decider will played today. Still hoping that Prithvi Shaw is given a chance in today's match. There no point in selecting him and not giving a chance to play. He has proven in the domestic cricket that he has the ability to score runs at a good striking rate. The pitch in Ahmedabad should be batter friendly otherwise this match too will become boring as the match in Lucknow.

DRS is generally not used except in important series or series of big teams. And umpires are often giving wrong decisions due to not using DRS. I would say the use of DRS should be made mandatory at present. DRS technology should be used in all first-class cricket. Any team can lose because of a wrong decision by the umpire. And it's normal for people to make mistakes. So I have to rely a little on technology. I have seen DRS technology not used in BPL. So the umpire is making a lot of wrong decisions. And this has led to controversy.

BCCI wants women's cricket to flourish but does not have the funds to finance DRS! Okay, I forgot this series in not happening in India. If it was then I would not have asked this question.

DRS is costly tech so not financially sustainable as these sorts of series hardly generate any revenue. Only Women's WC (Senior) uses DRS tech.

I understand it is costly but why such discrimination? I did not enjoy the match for the first reason it was unfair on both the team's part and second it got dominated by India as soon as the captain of WI got out. If you want women's T20 cricket to be engaging as well as entertaining you need to bring it to par with men's T20 cricket.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 31, 2023, 09:03:23 AM
What's happening with the women's T20 tri series between India, SA & WI? I just finished the highlights of the match between India and WI. I was surprised DRS was not used in that game. Is there something that I don't know or in women cricket DRS has been not included or only for this tri series they are not using it. There were couple of questionable outs given by the umpires in favour of both teams. Overall India won the match but it was kind of boring to watch as the match was a one sided one. @JSRAW or @Sithara007 do you have any clue?
2028  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 31, 2023, 06:58:58 AM
I generally use both as it depends where I am. If I am at the comfort of my home I prefer using a desktop. When I am outside and have sometime to spare I use my phone. Almost all online casinos can be viewed on a phone. You specifically do not need to download an app or their app for it. I do agree the screen size does matter as you won't be that comfortable on playing on a phone when you have played on desktop.

South Africa is now comfortably placed in the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. It is almost certain that they will finish among the top-8 and therefore gain automatic qualification for the ODI World Cup this year. They have one more match against England remaining (to be played tomorrow) and another two matches against Netherlands. Even one win should be enough to overtake West Indies (who are currently in the 8th position). Sri Lanka currently have 77 points, and they have 3 matches remaining. There is a remote chance of Sri Lanka finishing at the 8th position, if they win all the 3 matches (against New Zealand) and South Africa lose their match today.
South Africa is going to be part of the ODIWC but Srilanka is very doubtful. I am pretty much pissed with the way the English team has played so far in this bilateral series. They just don't have the zeal to win a single match. Pathetic bowling by them by the way. They cannot even defend a score of 300+ show how lack of bowling talent is affecting this team.

Well, we are talking about the England side minus Mark Wood and Ollie Robinson. Chris Woakes is the only regular pacer who was included in the 2nd ODI. Reece Topley and Olly Stone are not considered as regulars. And Sam Curran also doesn't bowl a lot these days. On top of that the two spinners (Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid) went for plenty. Maybe things will change once Jofra Archer comes back from his injury. And Rehan Ahmed is emerging as a quality spin option, although I am not sure how suitable is his style of bowling for the limited overs cricket.
I hope after Jofra archers inclusion the weak bowling line up of the English side changes but to an extent he can bowl 10 overs in limited cricket. England needs another two good and responsible  pace bowlers which at the moment is not happening. They tested a few in this series but none of them are good enough it seems.

Lot of criticism of Lucknow's pitch. I didn't watch a single ball but the scoreboard tells a very clear story that it was an extremely tough pitch to bat on, which we don't see in T-20.

Having said that it's not a bad idea to have a such kind of pitch once in a while, despite T-20 being a batter's game. It gives us a reality check of where these modern batsmen stand in the pecking order.
It was more like a test cricket pitch than a pitch to play T20 cricket. We watch T20 because it is agressive batting and mort runs are scored from 4s &6s. The lack of agressive batting ruins a T20 match. As per my knowledge a test cricket pitch should be always bowler friendly, a T20 pitch should be batter friendly and an ODI pitch should be a combination of both. I was really surprised to see such an odd pitch in an international ODI match. The curator might have forgotten that he was supposed to create pitch for a short format game. I am hoping the Ahmedabad pitch should be batter friendly.

Considering that this was the first U19 women world cup and India being the first women U19 women team to win it. The prize money announced by the BCCI that is INR 5 CR is less compared to what they had paid to the U-19 boys in 2022. I do understand that the U-19 boys have lifted the world cup 5 times in a row but as it was the first for the girls a somewhat similar amount like boys could have been paid. I am pretty sure BCCI never expected the girls would win the world cup and amount of price money announced proves they were not prepared for this win.

After successfully wining the T20WC it seems the English side doesn't want to do the same for ODIWC. This teams performance in ODI has been going from bad to worst. I understand that South Africa has the home advantage but after scoring 342 runs if the English bowlers are not able to defend this total then their is a big problem that needs to be looked into.

What I find most irritating is when I read a long post which does not divided into multiple paragraph and does not have proper headings. This is something basic and needs to be used when writing a long post.

Proper way of quoting a reply is very important but I have seen a lot of the members quoting more than one reply to make a reply which looks preety confusing and is hard to understand. This is mostly seen in self moderated thread.

If you ask a question and have received multiple answers to your query then it is advised to lock that thread. A discussion thread can be kept open. I see very few members following the rule. Locking a thread is important to stop spam replies.

Both the captain and vice captain held their nerves to clinch a nervous win yesterday. I am not sure why there were two run outs as Indian batters are known to be very vocal and coordinated than other team batters. It is very rare to see run outs now days. Still a crucial win for the Indian team as they can now play the series decider match next in Ahmedabad. Newzealand did their level best to win the match after scoring the lowest total agains India in a T20 match. Indian batters had to play till the 19th over to chase 99 runs.
2036  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot? on: January 29, 2023, 02:56:06 PM
I think a moron posted those replies! If he/she knew how it worked then it would not have been noticed.

Yet, it is a pretty serious issue and I solution has to be found. I have seen many topics posted on many boards which feel that they are being posted using an AI. As most of them do not make any sense. I have reported them to moderators and still those replies stay.

I have done some research to find a solution to those AI replies but they are not conclusive. Any steps like banning might not be inconclusive as you can not prove that someone has used an AI.

My question to everyone who advocated banning them is, how would you know that the reply is being done using an AI or a topic is created using the help of AI?

What a stupid way to reveal to the whole world your heights of stupidity by buying a piggy bank! LOL Grin Another folly you committed by creating such a topic and expecting merits. I am not sure what made you think doing such a silly thing investing in a piggy bank that gets eaten out. I also feel that you do not keep your house clean as you fiat got eaten by rodents while expecting a fortune in your sleep. It is another classic case of being bitten the hard way and then realizing the reality. Welcome to a decentralized economy the hard way!! Cheesy

Never in my dreams I had imagined that these girls of just 16 or 19 could have accomplished such a huge milestone. They were just playing to prove themselves and they did that with a style. Another ICC event grabbed by the girls. What a day for every girls who had aspired or are aspiring to become a cricketer.

Congratulations Girls!! You have proven that you are the best in the world!! Dream came true for a cricket fan like me.

Only 20 runs needed by India to win the first world cup for U19 women. Oh! What a game these girls have played to be in the front seat of WIPL players auction. I doubt how many of them will be eligible but these girls have a bright future which will be long and full of fame as well as money. GO GIRLS!!

Just remembering when Indian boys won the first T20WC and then IPL was announced and every winning team member was bought. At that time the amount payed to those players was good and they made a life out of IPL. For a few it is still an ongoing journey.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2023, 12:48:55 PM
Indian U19 women bowlers are doing an excellent job at the moment. England has already lost 6 wickets and have just score 53 runs. I am not expecting a big total in this final match but if Indian bowlers are bowling good that doesn't mean that the English bowlers cannot bowl in the same way. Indian batters & especially the captain needs to be calm and focus on the game.
