2021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: May 11, 2022, 02:36:32 AM

Fear should not accompany cryptocurrency investors, because if they fear automatically the decision goes wrong. I would suggest the long term users just leave the holding unlike the market variations. For short term holders and users who make unexpected selling it is good to hold partial investment in terms of stablecoins and partial in the form of bitcoin. This will help to maintain the portfolio without much disturbance caused due to the market crash.

Fear does not accompany experienced investors. As for new investors, they enter the market with the mindset of making money but they don't realize that in order to make a lot of money, they have to take risks. And when things happen, fear makes them make wrong decisions.

Once fear takes over their mind, when they hold potential coins even bitcoin can't stop them from panicking and selling.
2022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin was outperformed by Alternative coins on Tuesday! on: May 11, 2022, 02:21:51 AM
This is not the first time it has happened in the market, the movement of altcoins is largely dependent on the movement of bitcoin, especially when bitcoin falls almost all altcoins also fall. Reverse wave altcoins are likely to be temporarily hype by sharks or they have a significant event in progress.

I remember Shiba also was outperformed recently, when getting listed on Robinhood while we saw a red market but that hype didn't last after a 20% increase, Shiba fell shortly after.
2023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AN INTERESTING WAY TO INTRODUCE BITCOIN LEARNING TO OUR FUTURE GENERATION on: May 10, 2022, 11:15:46 PM
I am a teacher by profession and think of this interesting action plan to teach the concept of Bitcoin to our primary kids (10-11) in their early stages.
Hello, teacher.
You work as a teacher, you should teach students according to the curriculum and subjects at school, Bitcoin is digital currency, not good, teach and introduce children in school too early with money, what they need is knowledge, about school subject matter, and don't mix them with digital currency.

Today is sophisticated with existing technology, the younger generation in general they are familiar with Bitcoin or crypto, without being taught at school they already know it, it's a fact, I think, teaching them professionally about general school knowledge, automatically they will easily get to know Bitcoin in the future.

That's right, the OP should do a good job of the role and duties of a teacher first. Children need to be nurtured, cared for and learned many things to have a good life later not just taught to earn money.

10-11 years old is probably quite early to teach them about bitcoin or how to collect bitcoins, educating kids early on how to collect bitcoin will affect their learning process. I really don't like this idea.
2024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: May 10, 2022, 11:06:43 PM
If it is about securing the future, then without doubt it is the safest way to enjoy the future. What we save today will surely help us in the future.
I can agree that investing in crypto is the way to help our financial strength in the future. But I don't think it is the safest way, investing in crypto has a high risk, no one knows what to happen to crypto investment in the future. That's why we don't invest all our money in crypto, just use the money that we can afford to lose. Put all money in crypto investment isn't the right way to secure our future.

Crypto are a new market compared to stocks or gold and investing in cryptocurrencies is not protected by law, so the risk is very high. Crypto is currently considered a high-risk, high-reward form of investment with of the scams surrounding it, so invest with knowledge and don't put all your money into it with the desire to change life quickly. It can help you but it can also destroy you, so invest wisely.
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Really Trustworthy? on: May 10, 2022, 10:56:13 PM
Suppose you woke up tomorrow morning and found that Bitcoin had dropped to 0$, or that Bitcoin had disappeared or been scammed. How will you be at that moment?
Questions like this do really pop out whenever bitcoins price do really dropped that hard which is something not really that new but to answer it out then if it goes to $0 then
you could obviously able to tell even when its still heading way down on which it is really been overtaken with some top altcoins for  sure and with that alone you could
already tell that people do make out some switching of trust and support. So whether you do accept your losses and jump immediately to other or would
simply buy to the lowest low.

Maybe this is not a funny question, this thought only occurs to people who have no faith in bitcoin and panic is covering them. It is also understandable if OP is a newbie to the market and has never experienced major market corrections.

If OP is holding bitcoin or alt , you can cutloss and secure the asset when you no longer trust bitcoin. If this is just a fun question and you have full confidence in bitcoin then buy bitcoin from now on and keep holding until bitcoin rises again.
2026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 10, 2022, 10:37:56 PM
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
$32k means 50% down from all time high. It is a point of double bottom too. Therefore, I think that Bitcoin will bounce back strongly from $32k.

2018 bitcoin fell from 20k$ to 3k$, compared to the current 50% drop which may not be the final bottom. I think bitcoin will continue to fall and maybe go below $30k.
Quote
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
But I don't expect Bitcoin to turn back to bullish. It won't return its trend quickly and we won't see a V shape rally from $32k to $69k. There will be a long time for accumulation in months before the market will be warmed up again before 2024 halving.

Because people now are uncertainty about what will happen with Bitcoin, up or down, fall more or rally strongly. From uncertainty, they will response from panic to FOMO with Bitcoin bounce. I expect to see big green and big red candles in next few days around $32k.
Surely the market needs to accumulate for a long time before it can rise again, should not expect a bounce at this time. IMO, Bitcoin will rise again and a new bull season will happen with the next Bitcoin Halving.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 09, 2022, 06:35:37 PM
salaries and transfer fees are not a problem for Manchester city to bring in Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund especially at this time Manchester city really needs a striker like Haaland, considering he has performed so well with Borussia Dortmund this season, to bring in the Norwegian passport player is not easy For Manchester City, considering the two Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, they also want the services of these young players, especially since Erling Haaland is more interested in joining Real Madrid or Barcelona, the fee that Borussia Dortmund has set at £75 million isn't it a problem for Manchester City? be an interesting transfer where Erling Haaland anchored next season
The goal scoring machine that this team possesses will dismantle any team in the world. This is good news for Manchester City. A striker like Haaland would help them immensely this year, as they struggled with a proper striker this season. Pep always buys cheap, unknown players to dominate the league by bringing highly talented players to his squad. Manchester City are good at buying big players. However, they have yet to win a single UCL trophy. I hope Halaand will assist them in that regard.

Manchester City is a great team and this player will surely give a lot more stability to the team and especially to the attacking part of Manchester City. but I just hope that the player can stay fit the whole season and does not get injured. if he actually can play the whole season I think Manchester City is going to look really good and it is for another English Premier League title in the next season.
2028  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 08, 2022, 04:03:54 AM
earn, save and invest I totally agree with your review, because most of us including myself, are not very smart to save money, most of us are only good at spending money, investing is the best way that we should apply, because today's digital of course we also have to be wise in looking for opportunities, let money work by itself, without having to drain our energy we can also get income.

Investment is the best way for us to increase assets and save time than manual labor. We're all going to age and manual labor won't help us when we're old. But to get the best investments you must first have some savings because investing does not always bring us returns, sometimes there will be losses and then savings will be needed more than ever. It not only helps us to balance our finances in investment and life, but also helps us have a comfortable mentality when investing.
2029  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Influential Social Networks on: May 08, 2022, 03:49:17 AM
Mass “maneuver” networks or current social networks can be used to boost or defame a currency (crypto). Overall, is it beneficial to use monetary investment in social media to increase the value of a cryptocurrency? Even at the risk of defamation by the network itself?

Nowadays, social networks are considered as indispensable means of communication for most fields. We use social media as a means of information and propaganda to promote the development of bitcoin and crypto to become more popular and known by more people while many others can also use social networks to do the opposite. So social media plays an extremely important role in the development of bitcoin. It can be said that social networks are part of helping bitcoin grow more and can kill bitcoin with bad news being spread.
2030  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Tesla decided to sell its Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2022, 03:39:44 AM
I think Elon Musk influence, especially on bitcoin has reduced. Even, if he sell his worth of billion dollar bitcoin, the market may fall fall, but it will get back to normal.

His propaganda when Tesla stopped accepting bitcoin as a legal tender (and later accepted doge to dump bitcoin) made bitcoin price to fall from over $60000 to around $45000 or $46000. Can there be any worse than that?

Even it wasn't long after Elon Musk propaganda that China finally ban bitcoin and bitcoin mining that made bitcoin price to drop from around $45000 to $30000. But, yet, another bull run started that skyrocketed bitcoin price to all-time-high of almost $70000.

So, yet bitcoin is still bitcoin. Bitcoin price does not depend on a single man, especially, not Elon Musk.

Elon's influence has decreased because his tweets are only intended to manipulate the market and people have realized that. But Tesla is the 3rd largest bitcoin holding company in the world about 43,200 BTC, if they announce to sell all of their bitcoin holdings then I think it will cause a serious drop in the market.

Although we know that bitcoin does not depend on any company or individual, selling large amount of bitcoin to market will cause market panic causing mass sell-off. And bitcoin will take a long time to recover, we should hope that won't happen.
2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2022, 03:18:37 AM

There is no point in holding when you are not spending the profit. I agree to this. There is no best time to sell or buy Bitcoin as long as you need it. Or if you have set something like a 50% profit, you will now sell your coin or buy more. My personal strategy was to go for 50% and cut my losses at around 60% too, but cutting losses depends if there are no developments to or new updates to the coin.

Stop loss strategy should only be used in case you are holding altcoins but with bitcoin I find it really unnecessary. But if you have a different strategy, such as when the price drops, you can sell your bitcoin and will buy them back when the bitcoin price continues to plummet.
I have seen many traders do this but it is too risky as we cannot tell if bitcoin will go up or down it is all guesswork. This should only be done when you are a professional chart reader and willing to take the risk.
2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Crypto to the wrong address on: May 07, 2022, 09:36:20 PM
We're developing something to reduce human error in crypto transactions, especially those in which some mistake was made when writing the receiver address.
Can you guys help us have a greater perception on the user side?

  • Did it happen to you?
  • How comfortable are you every time you transfer to a remote address?
  • Would you be more comfortable using a helper?
  • What do you use today to mitigate this risk?

Thanks

The good thing is that i never sent bitcoin to the wrong address. However, i have heard many people sending bitcoin to wrong addresses. Sometimes it happens because of human mistake but at other times there is a malware du to which the bitcoin send to the wrong address.
The simple way to avoid this mistake, is to double check the sender address after pasting it in the wallet withdrawal window.

Just be careful before transferring money, we will avoid the risk, I always copy the wallet address and check and recheck 3 to 4 times before pressing the send button.
We should not rush, always remember that crypto transfer is not like a bank transfer once an order has been sent there is no way to get it back so don't do it wrong.
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really believe Satoshi is real?? on: May 07, 2022, 09:17:47 PM

I don't think bitcoin is only made by one person because if we look at every project, there is always a team on them and the team can be composed of both male and female but like any other project, there is a lead man on them and it was satoshi for bitcoin but I don't know if satoshi is just a nickname or it was a true name because there's also teams that uses their real names on the project that they are creating. Bitcoin might have some flaws, that is why altcoins are created to supply those.
I think the same, bitcoin is probably like all projects nowadays created by a group of people or an organization because it is very difficult for one person to take on the whole implementation of a project. Satoshi is simply an alias to address that we still mistakenly think of as a person's name. But even though Satoshi is he/she/the team, Satoshi is real and it is Satoshi that created bitcoin for us to use today.
2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concern of illegal use of crypto on: May 07, 2022, 09:04:03 PM

Authorities in my country say that money laundering will be more easier with crypto then with fiat.
Due to the anonymity of cryptocurrencies, it makes it easier for criminals to launder money compared to fiat I think this is justified.

Though money laundering is in full swing with fiat but authorities have no objection on that.

It's not that they don't protest, they really don't have a way to completely stop the criminals from raging.
Its natural and with time hate among government bodies for crypto will increase not lessen for an obvious reason.
It's all just an excuse to justify their hatred for crypto, they don't like bitcoin but can't find any good reason to get rid of bitcoin so they will assign any crime which can. The ultimate goal remains to prevent people from using cryptocurrencies.
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russians collectively hold about $130b in crypto on: May 07, 2022, 08:44:01 PM
This is only from transactions that are known..... those transactions that went through Russian Exchanges. There are a lot of people that are earning Crypto currencies online and people that are receiving bitcoins and other Crypto currencies through P2P methods.  Wink

The only time when bitcoins can be linked to Russian people, is when it touched regulated centralized services... or when those bitcoins are spend on products and services that link those customers to Russian citizens.  Wink

I wonder what is going to happen once this war is over...... will we see a sudden dump ....or will it be a slow dump over a longer period.  Huh
The war hasn't made a big impact over the market of Cryptocurrencies. Start of the war there is decline in the market and further the gradual growth happened reaching the price from which it dropped down. Further several steps were taken by the world countries to keep Russia isolated from the rest of the world. By the time usage of cryptocurrencies increased and this gave good awareness among the global population as everyone were looking for regular updates on the war. So, this time when war gets ended there won't be much of deviation in the market.

Crypto showed signs of decline before the war occurred, but the protracted war caused a global energy crisis and the world economy was affected by the war. So I think the war has more or less really affected the market today.
If the war ends, I don't dare say the market will grow strongly but surely the market will be much better than now because then the world economy will be somewhat stable.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League & 1. League 2021/22 Season on: May 07, 2022, 04:07:26 PM
The turn around fenerbahce pulled off is what other big clubs wanted to achieve as well. Maybe Trabzon became champions, but at the second half of the season I believe that Fener played much better and they have a good future ahead of them.
There are talks about who they are going to get as manager, Jorge Jesus is a big name talked in the media these days, but Bielsa would have been better and he is free right now. If they somehow get Bielsa, they will change not just the team itself, but the culture around it as well. Turkish football is lacking pace and physical plays, everyone keeps dropping on the floor the moment you touch them, with Bielsa style they would be able to beat so many with so easily.

Fenerbahce has been playing really well in recent times and they have a perfect form in the last five matches. They are looking really good to finish in the second position this season.
The talks of the new manager are going to be interesting. I hope whoever comes as the new manager of the other team has no problems with any of the players.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 07, 2022, 04:02:10 PM
The victory achieved by Inter Milan mader Milan even more motivated to win over Verona, Milan will struggle to get its position back after being captured by Inter. Milan and Inter can still win the Serie A title at the end of the season, Inter who just won over Empoli have two games remaining, while Milan will still have three matches to play. Verona is the opponent that Milan must beat in the next match in order to return to the top of the standings, because Milan's appearance in the previous few matches was very consistent.
What I worry about is that when they are driven to win, it will be disastrous for them because they cannot control the game because their desire to win is great. But that shouldn't be the case, because they are a big team in Italy and very experienced. Their chance to return to the top, I hope they can take advantage of that.
mentality is needed by the AC Milan team to undergo the remaining matches this season. but I think Verona is not a tough opponent for AC Milan, in terms of quality and on paper AC Milan can win easily against Verona.
in the remaining matches of AC Milan this season they do not meet tough opponents again, last week when AC Milan managed to win against Fiorentina was a turning point to raise their mentality and confidence because that was the toughest remaining match of AC Milan.
I'm not worried, I'm sure AC Milan can win easily against Verona and AC Milan can definitely finish the season well to win the SCudetto.

If I actually think about all the matches that are left for Milan this season I think none of them should be really hard for Milan to win but the problem is I don't trust Milan because they have been quite inconsistent this season and I am not going to be surprised if they actually end up losing one of the three remaining matches. I think Inter will actually be the deserving champions of this League. and for that to stop from happening Milan will need to will all the matches that are left.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 07, 2022, 12:06:49 PM
Manchester City WANT Paul Pogba! Pep Guardiola is interested in signing wantaway United midfielder once his deal expires this summer - with the potential free transfer mirroring Carlos Tevez's acrimonious exit in 2009.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10790279/Manchester-City-want-Paul-Pogba-Pep-Guardiola-interested-signing-wantaway-United-midfielder.html
It's such transfers that expose the shortcomings of a team and we can all agree that if Pogba  moves to city he certainly will perform above average and Manchester United will be regretting for not extending his contract but it is what it is especially that we have a new driver in charge!
If Pogba eventually sign for Manchester City then this will be one of the biggest transfer windows twist ever in the EPL.  I really hope it's just another rumor but if true, then it's a shame Manchester United will be losing Pogba for free not to any other team but their neighbors. After buying a player for £89m and losing him on a free to Manchester City would be absolutely chaotic. I only need it to happen because the English media has been unfair in criticizing Pogba. Let see how incredible he will be with this Manchester City's team.

I am going to be really happy if I see this transfer happening because Manchester United should learn something from this. they should learn that you should not buy a player even though he is not overrated and is actually good as everyone says for this much money which he clearly did not deserve in my opinion and also a lot of others.

At that time no one could believe Paul Pogba is worth so much. and if this ends up happening now it is going to be an insult to injury for Manchester United.
2039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid to buy Bitcoin in its bearish state? on: May 06, 2022, 09:07:06 PM
It is the common man's mentality to get into fear whenever the market turns bearish. In today's match it is all about the profit making, just hold and sell at the right ocassion. If not holding will then bring in profit. Compared to the past years, the panic waves among the common people have decreased. The correction then happens through the market fluctuation. So, if there is no need of selling then just hold it.
Yes, fear exists in each of us. A lot of people have told me that they are sorry the bitcoin price is at 60k and they will buy them if bitcoin drops to 40k again but when the market falls deeply they start to feel fear, fear bitcoin will continue to fall or the market will go to zero. They don't know that bitcoin is a long term investment, just buy and hold for long time it will generate profit for them. Don't worry too much about short-term volatility
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Semifinals! on: May 06, 2022, 01:48:50 PM
Oh man I won my bet on Frankfurt, but I lose my bet on Leipzig, my predictions aren't wrong since Frankfurt and Leipzig are played better. The thing is on Leipzig vs Rangers, Leipzig missed many big chance goals, it's sad on minutes 70 Laimer's shot was hitting the pole, if it's goal it will be 3-2 and ended with penalties (though I still lose my bet too lol). However recently we have see many underdog team able to beat the favored team, did anyone think Rangers might become the champion?

Expect Frankfurt to win the Europa League this time because they have it really well in the Europa League and their performance was really convincing against almost all the teams.  meanwhile, on the other hand, Rangers I have certainly played well but their performance was not very convincing. but another thing is at this level of the competition past performances really don't matter.
