2021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Puts Down Bitcoin Use Rumor on: July 30, 2021, 06:01:08 AM
Definitely not about the Amazon stuff, stupid mainstream media for picking up on that.

It's still going up after they denied telling they'd be accepting BTC like it's going to hurt their business.

Probably binance limiting futures and withdrawal limit I guess are making users who aren't verified yet sending out their BTC before the date of implementation. Prices go up for the limited circulating supply, this is my assumption though. Still, there is no clear information for the reason for price to spike.

Yes, but as I said nothing to do with the Amazon news. This is totally something different and is an evidence for Bitcoin that the market has always changed direction when the time has come,,, not because of some big news. The news helps the direction but it does not determine it.

The underlying factor like circulating supply, usage factors,,, all of these are doing their time slowly.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reaction to hear about Bitcoin Fact: No Team and Automatic on: July 30, 2021, 04:59:47 AM
Thanks for sharing OP but try not to type in non-standard punctuation, it really hurts the eyes to read:)

But to share myself, to be honest,,, when I first found out it was "decentralized" I did not really feel anything "wow". I just thought it was different. I mean back at home we have a lot of small charities and NGOs that are not even registered or not even having leaders, it was founded by good and kind people who wanted to do something for the community who people do not even know the history anymore.

Like one charity I work for it is totally voluntary, Yes they are some people who "lead" but in the end everyone makes their own decisions and does what they want and it works:) We all do not even remember how it started or who did it first but the values are there and principles are there.

So Bitcoin is something like this done for money, but with good technology for security as well.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 28, 2021, 05:09:21 PM
Based on the information I read on Goal.com, they (the audience) are required to bring a covid certification (vaccine passport) and must be up-to-date. That is, when a match is held on 30 July for example, they must have a Covid certification on that date.

Yes, first of all they need to prove they have the vaccine, and then second, they must also prove they are healthy (as the vaccine does not mean they do not get sick).

What I am wondering is how about foreigner supporters? Like us, we have a local/national app but I doubt this is accepted in another country. EU maybe do they have a single EU cert?
2024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Bitcoin Poll on: July 28, 2021, 04:01:23 PM
I think Amazon has everything to gain and nothing to lose if they decide to add Bitcoin to their balance sheet. But whether they're interested with that or not, I could only guess.

That is because you like Bitcoin and are not a successful business owner. The guy did not fly to space and made all his money gambling,,, he did it by becoming harsh and economically minded,,, and taking different risks.

For sure he will buy Bitcoin on his own but to ask his company to do the same? I think that would put him in the same Elon Musk hot water!
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year on: July 28, 2021, 02:56:15 PM
Even though this Amazon rumour turned to be fake (no wonder lol), there is a good thing about it - it has acted as a trampoline and bitcoin jumper over 33-35k levels, as well as pulled all other crypto.
Strange to admit, that people believe, that such giant as Amazon would integrate a new payment option in just 4 months till the end of the year. For me, that looks impossible.

Haha ya,,, but I honestly thought it was true, just not what people were thinking it meant (as in yes they were thinking of taking Bitcoin but no this did not mean millions of new users at all).

Are you sure we should be giving them credit for trampolining the market though? I think this is actually just a natural moment for the bulls to consolidate the actions of the past months.
2026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: July 28, 2021, 12:40:43 PM
I always thought Tether fud led to Bitcoin markets dropping though,,,

I think it's more of Amazon news that fuel the price spike in the last week or so. And once they have confirmed that it is a fake news (them accepting bitcoin as mode of payment), the price suddenly drop to $36k-$37k very fast from as high as $40k. Fortunately, it's been stable so far and not moving down to <$30k as others have predicted.

$70k? Everyone is expecting a move to $100k or at least a new all time high at the end of the year.

Well it definitely was not the Amazon news because Amazon already rejected or denied the claims, and then Bitcoin is still going up today even higher than yesterday,,, in fact holding quite well abov 40k as we speak.

So this is just a regular market move in the end. Naturally made by the big whales?Smiley
2027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LOOD - A Cryptocurrency for the Adult Industry (By Industry Pros) on: July 28, 2021, 12:00:11 PM
I wonder why the adult industry coins have been popping up a lot lately,,, I already started following two thinking it was unique but now more and more coming up.

None seem to be really doing something truly unique. One was NFT and one was currency, but what is the "special sauce" of your project?

Believe me I think there is great potential but so far nothing convinces me of anything truly special yet in the projects I have seen. Your 1-pager I read,,, but I actually do not get what your 1 big vision or solution is?
2028  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Manipulation in Binance Futures Trading on: July 28, 2021, 10:58:57 AM
Yeah, I do not think there was anything malicious from anyone on this. Very clearly a glitch from the platform and no one benefited so other than a data spike that might mess up some TA, nothing happened.
Many people feel that the Binance incident has no impact on ordinary futures investors, but is just a small malfunction.

But I think they are wrong. If the stop loss is set at 39,000, then there will be a stampede because of too many short sellers. In the end, your market price stop loss transaction price will be 48,000 instead of 39,000.

This also reflects the importance of isolated.

I really still do not think there is an impact because no actual trades were settled because of this glitch. But ok,,, let us say market price stop loss is 48k, but that as well did not happen on the glitch, so the trade would have been left alone, or refunded at worst case scenario no? Or maybe I do not understand how it works on Binance:)
2029  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 28, 2021, 10:31:17 AM
^I honestly believe that Liverpool without having another good transfer will not be fighting for the title, all I can see them is either second on best conditions or third probably like this year but without the bg losing streak. Everyone keeps talking about how with VVD back and Konate playing it is going to be awesome but the reality is that Liverpools problem is not on paper, their roster last year didn't deserve a 5 game losing streak neither, they were doing horrible while being a good team.

I believe that it is either about the tactic being basically figured out, yeah gegenpress is awesome and all which Klopp is the master but when you do it for 3-4 years in a row other teams know what to expect and counter that with their own tactic. Or it could be about players not really being happy in the team anymore, while Messi trying to get 50 million at age 35, Salah may feel like he should be getting at least twice of what he is getting? I do not know what is the reason but I feel like Liverpool is and was great on paper, the problem is with psychology of the players.

Everyone is saying that and yes, judging from my own experience with my team, Spurs, when we did not refresh after so long, we finally started to crumble. Every team needs constant tweaking and rebuilding.

But I disagree in Liverpool's case because they now have most of their players AT peak and that peak can last a dynasty of football (so 3 years?) plus they did get a lot of reinforcements and their main team have not played together properly for a season.

6-game Anfield streak actually I recall but every team has a bad patch and they did lose all those without key defenders, which is a really really bad thing for any team.

And no Salah is a pro. He will give his best even if unhappy and if Klopp knows a player does not give his best,,, he is OUT.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game 💰 on: July 28, 2021, 06:36:50 AM
Japan might surprise everyone because of home advantage though.

It will certainly help, yes... but perhaps not as much as we might expect. A big part of home advantage is having the roar of thousands of fans cheering you on. In this strange pandemic Olympics the competitors are performing in front of rows of empty seats. But still home advantage will certainly count for something. And it will help that as host nation, Japan are allowed to compete in every event.

Here it is less of the crowd cheering but the fact that Japanese athletes did not have to travel, did not have to self-quarantine and live in a strange village and sleep in a different time zone and eat food that they may not like as much.

So the body is conditioned regularly and it is like business as usual for them whereas for their opponents it might not be so:)

Plus yes, competing in every event! Even if you did not qualify,,, huge advantage I agree!
2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Puts Down Bitcoin Use Rumor on: July 28, 2021, 04:49:19 AM
Haha,,, I said so yesterday it did not mean anything even if it was true,,, but look at prices today just back at abovr $40k for a temporary while just an hour ago and now still looking good and strong.

Definitely not about the Amazon stuff, stupid mainstream media for picking up on that.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 27, 2021, 01:06:04 PM
If he joins City he might be doing more of that but really he needs to be in front of goal and given good service:)
Kane won't have to play as key maker if he joins Manchester City. There are Bernado Silva and De Bruyne who will play as play makers and Kane will focus only on scoring goals. He will focus back to what he does best, scoring goals. Some moments, great passes from Kane will help Manchester City to break opponent's defense system but it is not the main objectives of Manchester City.

They need goals and another striker to replace Kun Aguero. Gabriel Jesus has a few seasons in Manchester City but he can not grow more.

Indeed if that is so then all good and I wish him the best if he leaves,,, because he cannot keep wasting his best years taking all the responsibilities of Spurs on his shoulders. But let us see one more season, though if he stays too long he may make the mistake of taking too much time and then no one wants him after he is past 30 years old.
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Bitcoin Poll on: July 27, 2021, 11:02:19 AM
If no, why not? Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter, Square, Paypal, Visa, etc are all adopting, does the largest ecommerce platform not have anything to gain here? I think they're more likely to have BTC than go out of their way to build their own crypto like facebook.

I do not think accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment is the same as adoption. Adoption usually means actual use of the Bitcoin network, which I am very sure not all of these names you mentioned are doing. Maybe Twitter wants to do it some day because it wants to do Bitcoin defi. But if you use Paypal now you do not even have to have a Bitcoin wallet.
2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year on: July 27, 2021, 09:04:23 AM
if true amazon wants to accept bitcoin payments by the end of the year, this can be said to be very interesting news, just like tesla last year accepted bitcoin in payments, maybe next year more big companies will accept bitcoin in their payments. will happen next year..

Again,,, this kind of news is meaningless. Having more places to spend Bitcoin does not mean more people will spend it. Having Bitcoin as an option does not encourage people to buy Bitcoin to pay with it.

But if Amazon does allow people previously restricted to now also use Amazon and pay instead with Bitcoin? This will bring more people to Amazon, and more people to buy BTC.
2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: July 27, 2021, 07:58:29 AM
ETH is beast can never be replaced. Reason is the technology of ETH Block chain. What you think BSC was possible without ERC 20 network. Impossible, so point is Fees are due to heavy traffic and it means ETH is progressive more but project has no alternative to ETH if there is thats too poor in terms of its features and Business. ETH is the love our heart's

Never say never they say in crypto:) But I tend to agree over here with regards to ETH, it learned to be as careful as Bitcoin with upgrading and has slowly but surely overcome the big problems of scalability,,, which will happen on chain I guess by next year with full rollout of 2.0. I still believe all the other platforms claiming solutions have big security issues that people will only find out later when something breaks.
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: July 27, 2021, 07:27:12 AM
As i was discussing with my group that during the last weeks charts indicated a bullish for btc. Btc also crossed 50 daily MA and due to the fud of usdt, bullish run  will continue i suppose.
Maybe we can see $48000 in next few weeks depending upon some positive news maybe. But it will go down around $36000-$38000. Let's see i hope to see a better run than my anticipation, charts and calculations.
Does anyone expecting $70k this year?

I always thought Tether fud led to Bitcoin markets dropping though,,, now the only thing we saw here is as soon as 40k was reached a lot of take profits got triggered which led to almost 10% immediate drop in price. Good though, if that cleared out everyone waiting with sell limit orders around that area. Let us see how bulls react to this today first though.
2037  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Manipulation in Binance Futures Trading on: July 27, 2021, 07:05:21 AM
This was already concluded that it was some form of API glitch. Nobody got liquidated at that price AND nobody who had limit sell orders got their orders filled. Normally when people are about to get liquidated its never on the last price, it always on the mark price. So even if it did have a large spike like that, nobody would of been liquidated.

Only orders that would of filled up there would of been the limit sells and if someone used a stop loss, since stop losses usually are based on last price. So I don't think its manipulation. You would be surprised how deep the liquidity is on Binance and its not that easy to manipulate the price. Maybe on smaller exchanges but not binance.

Yeah, I do not think there was anything malicious from anyone on this. Very clearly a glitch from the platform and no one benefited so other than a data spike that might mess up some TA, nothing happened.

I did not know liquidations happened on mark price though,,, how did all the other ones on bitmex for example happen which has even larger liquidity?
2038  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 27, 2021, 05:50:24 AM
So nice to see you discussing about returning to games, LFC_Bitcoin. I admire anyone who loves his club so much that he is unhappy when he cannot watch many matches. Here,,, we have all kinds of fans but most of them do not even watch their team, or like they hate on their team when they lose. Good luck to Liverpool. They play with bravery and positivity, if they do again next season, with a full squad they can again be the most aggressive team in EPL.

I have a lot of training to love my club even when we lose as we do it a lot;)
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game 💰 on: July 27, 2021, 05:19:58 AM
On the second day of games, we have the United States in third place, Japan next and China in first place with the most medals.
The order is based on the gold medals.

Yeah, when swimming and athletics will start China will be destroyed in ranking from the USA.
I don't know why USA sucks in general games while they want to be the best in everything.

Same thing discussed in early conversations with my office (we are all allowed to keep one tv on with Olympics because our boss is a big fan). These starting days are very deceptive. The real events are track (sprinting, relays etc) because there are SO many events here and the Americans really train so hard for it.

Japan might surprise everyone because of home advantage though.
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: "Decentralized' exchange Uniswap starts blocking token access on: July 27, 2021, 04:47:43 AM
We all knew that of course,,, and shame on people who never thought this could happen. Uniswap has always been centralized and guess what they are not the only ones even opensea was recently shamed for delisting some meme NFTs for being too similar to an old project. So they actually delisted because of pressure from a rich project who did not want their competition there.

People need to find another way to describe these DEXs. AMMEX?Smiley
