so which god does science "back",
which one?

wake up buddy.

there is a god.

he is inside of you and all around

god is the universe! Prove me wrong.

you are a part of him, but he is oblivious to your existence (probably)

its unclear whether or not god needs us(humanity) to fulfill some greater purpose in the grand scheme of things

but i like to think the universe(aka GOD) is not so badly designed... cuz lets face it, we are pretty Pathetic when you compare us(humanity) to the whole(the universe)

for the record i am an (or was?) an Atheists, and i made up a religion ( its called "wowzers" ), in which god is.... well... real!

futher investigation revealed that god is not immortal, and will probably die within a few trillion years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XkV6IpV2Y0&feature=youtu.be&t=5m20s
but thats OK
because who's to say there aren't other gods?

maybe god has an orgasm and that makes a really, big bang!

There is only one God. Just because people don't all recognize Him in the same way, doesn't mean there are more than One. It also doesn't mean that the majority of people don't worship idols.

The belief in and understanding that people have about God, doesn't change God. God simply abides. But if He appears to change, it is people who have changed, and think falsely that it is God Who has changed.

Btw, you have an idol there, if you really worship it as God.

Cool

I dont really believe my own beliefs, that would be silly. I use my beliefs to fill in the gaps where my understanding falls short.

Nope, I'm still convinced that all religions suck, and I will let this guy speak in my behalf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r-e2NDSTuE

George Carlin for President!  Haha, this guy is so classic I think I will start to pray to him myself. Thanks MiSKLaCH for posting. Truely a terrific address. Couldn't have said it better myself. Flawless logic over here.  Cheesy

Too bad old George will be burning in Hell following the Judgment, if his attitude toward God on stage is the way he truly believed at death.

Cool

Many of them start with a healthy fear and perhaps a hatred, but that leaves quickly as there is nothing to fear for them anymore. Atheists are not an opposed faction by default, simply one that looks at things from a different point of view.
I would have said differently. Atheists look at the world from crowding of view of logic and science, as believers live in a world of illusions.

Atheists don't know what will happen tomorrow, just like theists. So, atheists live by some kind of faith that doesn't have any foundation. Then, when they ignore basic science, and the world around them, both of which show the existence of God, their faith turns into foolishness.

Theists may not understand the science that shows that God exists, but they can see God in nature by the fact that this great universe couldn't have come into being without a God creating it. Even science backs this up.

Cool

The idea that he pretty much funded his campaign all himself
while,
she was funded by many many many lobbyist.

was a subtle but powerful messages to the voters.

this is another subtle but powerful messages to the poeple.

i mean you can disagree with some (or all) of his political views, fine, but how can you not believe and admire his conviction, at this point.
2045  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump said he would not take the persistent's salary on: November 14, 2016, 03:14:34 AM
The salary is hardly the biggest cost of the position.  The security detail, the best accommodations when travelling and private transportation far exceeds $400,000 a year.

Absolutely! Housing, clothing, food, etc. are paid for as well! I'd probably volunteer to be president as well, it's really all about serving the American people.
half a million a year + everything taken care of in a big way.

wow

well fact remains he could have taken an extra 400,000$ a year but he said pass.
2046  Other / Politics & Society / Trump said he would not take the persistent's salary on: November 14, 2016, 12:41:48 AM
Trump said on 60 minutes that he will not accept the 400,000$ /year salary that comes with the job.

" i think by law i have to take it, so i'll take 1$ / year "

Trump Saved the USA 2million dollars.

BAM!

you've been trumped!
2047  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TRUMP WINS on: November 13, 2016, 08:17:07 PM
Trump will have to change his rhetoric or he's just demolished. Politics is not show and she does not like scandals. I think this time America got vaccinated against clowns in politics.

is he suggesting a mind control drug?

What's embarrassing for Clinton is she had significantly lower turnout compared to Obama and lost two states that haven't went red since the late 1980's.

What can be summed up from this election is that one, American voters do not want a criminal to run for President, and two, polls don't mean anything. Polls of the night of the election had Clinton up about 4 points on average. She won the popular vote, but no where near the margin predicted by the polls. Numerous mathematical models had Clinton winning this thing nice and easy, including 538's statistical model that put her at a 70 percent chance at winning. Electoral college worked in Trump's' favor this year and he gets to lead an entire executive branch with an entire Republican legislative branch. Considering Republicans have 2/3, the Supreme Court is next. Senate is no doubt going to confirm Trump's appointment.

but she won the popular vote

which would seem to indicate that >50% of Americans want a criminal  as President

also the riots tells me they dont want to have to vote for her, they just want her to win.

World war 3 was narrowly avoided with a Trump victory. It has been postponed for at-least several more years. The future that I had personally predicted, that Hillary would take power and lead us all to War & Death, did not materialize.

America will now be forced to focus on its internal issues, for the time being. America, under Trump, is also going to have to decide whether or not it wants to continue being an imperialist empire.

I foresee more protests & riots in our near future.

IDK guys....

at this point, it feels like the worlds a stage.

what if the protest get worst an worst?

what if they start to KILL PEOPLE

the Right side will seek vengeance!

we might be looking at war  in the US.

Right Vs Left

Shocked  what if we are ALL being manipulated into this   Shocked

2056  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TRUMP WINS on: November 11, 2016, 07:32:54 PM
Oh, everyone knows what their doing Masha Sha. Peaceful protesters chant, sing songs, hold up signs and generally have a different feel/demeanor about them.

These protesters are violently tearing shit up, destroying property and rioting. That's not protesting, it's more like what happens in Oakland after the raiders lose a game. It's destruction for entertainment value.
What is the real reason for these protest ,what they were doing when the elections was on full swing and now they wanted to destroy property and cause problems but really surprised to hear that Trump won even though all the predictions were against Trump

Many who surprised victory Trump. But the fact remains. It is hoped that he will be a wise president. Protests are already useless. We must accept this reality

sadly there are not going to accept it lightly.

if at first you lose fair and square bribe the electors to vote against the majority

2058  Other / Politics & Society / Are the things they say about hillary true? on: November 11, 2016, 03:00:25 PM
alternative media has looked at hillary emails, and found some pretty disturbing shit.

is it true?
2059  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TRUMP WINS on: November 11, 2016, 02:18:22 AM
I guess Trump is just going to post a "help wanted" ad in the paper for all of his cabinet positions: https://www.greatagain.gov/news/help-wanted-4000-presidential-appointees.html  Grin

I just created 4000 very very, very, high paying jobs.

2060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: November 11, 2016, 01:58:20 AM

Are gun control laws constitutional?

i think the idea behind the constitutional right for everyone and anyone to own a gun was simple.

the idea is that if everyone has guns, not just the government's police / military then the poeple could always come together and overthrow the government.

somewhere this idea was lost and replaced with "everyone has a right to protect themselves and there family "

when in fact the original  idea was more like "everyone has a right to protect there country from tyranny " remember these guys didnt fear poeple in there community, they fear the corrupt governments like the one they fought so hard to be free of.

but this is a silly though in this day an age....

at least SOME gun control laws is absolutely nessary.
